This was a fun stop in Boulder City . The food was good and so was the service . The almost 4 dollars for a fountain drink was not fun. They have plenty of options and even a bakery next door with pies . It's definitely worth checking out if you're near by .

Very cute old school diner in a very cool small town. Service was super friendly, food was on point and their bana bread and other pies are homemade.

They made a table for 11 for us for dinner. Outstanding service and food was very good. Ding one star for the menu showing a lower price than their billing system. Did not honor lower prices.

"Warning, this is a serious matter!" This is a "locals" favorite! It's a great way to begin and end the day! Remember this is just a reminder and a warning! Do you want good eats and drinks! Then stop! Stop here ! What is epic about this cafe besides the good food stuff here! It's the best gift they can offer the community the opportunity to thank the community for its service. First responders of all sorts. Thank you ! Are you a firefighter, police, sheriff, paramedic they have a wall of honor all for your services. When we first came to this cafe, just from the outside makes you want to come and see what's inside. They have an old Ford truck that's part of the decor outside that's always done up for some celebration of life and it's moments. Come and see what you see ! The food is truly amazing. After eating here it's time to be done . What I mean is the food is so delicious and comforting it's time for bed. Spend the day in Boulder and end it here. Wow ! If your a coffee drinker this is where you should start with coffee and pastries for that energy you need to go go get it happening Now that you know where to eat and have some great eats it time to go play . Remember the coffee is great here and awaits you before you write your story for the day.

It is spacious and nice. A vast menu accommodating breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. There is a bar as well. Service was good but either forgetful or slow (due to other waitressing duties). We wound up having to get our own high chair and crayons for the child. The food was good but typical diner food. The parking is challenging and we had to park about a block away in front of someones house in a residential neighborhood.

Look Breakfast is really a Simple meal. Done right it delights and fulfills. That's why we love coming to The Southwest Diner in Boulder City. The Welcome is always Genuine! The service is always first rate. Ask for Niki she is the best! Prices are fair. But the Good is the Star! Great quality and freshness! Really good portions. Delicious and Cooke fright Every time. And the country store vibe is great!

Some menu changes since my last visit. No creamy cucumber salad. The large-tasty servings, bar drinks, bakery, in & outdoor seating and their friendly servers has not changed. Soft drinks and iced tea served in HUGE Ball jars. A dependable stop from breakfast to evening. Lots of parking on the side street and their private parking lot. Lots of fun decorations and animated persons surround their property.

When in Boulder City there's two places to try and this is definitely one of them. They do a lot of scratch based cooking and baking which really makes them stand out IMO. We ordered the corned beef hash and a corned beef Ruben, both of them were delicious. The portions were a nice size. The service was attentive. We liked eating alfresco.

Hey Yelpers! Came in here again because this is one of the best breakfast spots in Boulder City. The service is always great, the ambiance homey, and the food delicious. They have interior and patio seating for when the weather is nice. The chile relleno casserole is tasty with a little spice. Pancakes, banana bread, various potatoes... All delicious! We will be back. Come check them out!!!

This is a cute diner facing the main drag in Boulder City. It has a cute bakery attached with home made goodies, pies, cakes and such. Yum! Coffee comes all cozy in a little terra cotta cup. When weather allows the seating on the patio is so nice. We brought friends with us this time and we sat inside. Our waitress is friendly and knows the menu well. She took great care of us. We tried all the things and we just love the food and the vibe here. We recommend and will be back.

Southwest Diner is located on the corner of Fifth and Nevada Hwy. it is easy to locate and access. Limited street parking is available as well as a small private lot behind the establishment. There is patio dining available where pets are welcome. Inside has two different decors; the original side is quaint with a small town kind of feel, whereas the new (remodeled?) side is more modern and streamlined. Servers greeted us warmly upon arrival. While our party was dining, I noticed that the waitstaff greeted a handful of regulars by name. Clearly, Southwest Diner is loved by the locals!! We had a rather large party of adults and a handful of small children, but Marisol took care of us with a smile and with efficiency. The food was served in generous portions and was prepared with love and care. It's typical diner fare, nothing that we ordered was gourmet, but it was definitely familiar, hearty, comfort food. The quality and portions of the food AND the friendliness and efficiency of the servers will have me stopping by again next time I'm in town.

This restaurant is located in Boulder City. The staff was very nice and sat us almost immediately. I had a cheeseburger and Sweet Potato Fries. The reason I just had a cheeseburger is because they didn't have the steak for the Fajita Salad or anything else made with steak or chicken. We were told that a large party had been in earlier and they used up all the steak and chicken. I definitely understood, It happens. Anyway, my cheeseburger was very good and Sweet Potato Fries as well. Great ambience. They have pies for sale and some Nik Naks. Sweet cute place. It can get crowded but today it was very quiet. We were there on a Monday so not really a lot of people in town. I give it 4 out of 5 stars because service counts a lot for me and our waitress was great. Hope you can make it to Boulder City and try this place. Very nice.

This place has a legit small-town feel and serves some excellent barbecue. We ordered the Burger special, sliders (one pork and one brisket), and The Brisket sandwich. The sliders were huge for sliders and served on big toasted buns and piled high with coleslaw, onions, pickles, and pepperoncinis. Both meats were flavorful and tender. The brisket sandwich was outstanding: certified Angus beef cooked low and slow, seasoned with their Texas-style rub, sliced thick, and stacked high on grilled Texas toast. Very satisfying. For drinks, we had a couple Hazy Fox IPAs and two Huckleberry Lemonades that were on special for $5, which were a fun and refreshing choice. The sides were just as impressive. My family ordered the 50/50 bowl with half mac & cheese and half cowboy beans which was outstanding. The cowboy beans were especially packed with flavor. We also tried the fried okra and potato salad. The okra was amazing; crispy and delicious. The potato salad was just okay for me and a little bland, but I'm from the north, so I know everyone makes potato salad differently depending on the region. Overall, Fox Smokehouse BBQ was a great stop with delicious food, generous portions, and a welcoming hometown vibe. Definitely worth visiting if you're near Boulder City.

I arrived around lunch time there was only a couple other patrons and I was welcomed in by the staff. The server was very attentive if not a bit over attentive consistently checking if I needed anything or wanted more coffee which meant I had as much coffee as I wanted and I had a lot since it is pretty tasty. As for the food itself I ordered a stack of the banana walnut pancakes with strawberries & whipped cream and in a combo with eggs, sausage and garlic potatoes. The food was good I enjoyed the garlic potatoes a lot and the pancakes were also decent however not much of a banana flavor was to be found unfortunately. I did walk away satisfied with my meal and not finishing all of it due to the large portion of the pancakes the only real sticking point was the cost prior to tip being close to $28 which is a bit much for breakfast although I ordered one of the pricier items but making coffee or any other drink $4 is pricey compared to similar breakfast/brunch establishments. As compared to the emerald island grille which I view as the closest competitor pacific diner is better in quality their coffee alone is way better than anything at Emerald however the cost is much higher especially for most breakfast items where the cost is double that of the same item at Emerald. Overall I would recommend trying this place out and I will return to try some of the other menu items I am interested in.

We used to come here and not mind the food, but after both a recent takeout order and this dine-in visit, we won't be coming back. He ordered the club sandwich with fries, and I got the chicken and waffles. Starting with the club, this was honestly shocking. It came with a single slice of ham (about 1 cm thick) cut into four pieces and placed on each quarter of the sandwich. No turkey like a typical club, and only a small half piece of bacon per section. It was basically bread with minimal filling. The fries had good seasoning, but they were completely soggy, which ruined them. My chicken and waffles were even worse. It was served with ranch instead of syrup, which was odd right off the bat. The waffle itself was dense and very bready. The chicken tenders were extremely overcooked--hard, stale, and honestly difficult to bite into. There was more breading than chicken, and the texture inside was so rubbery it was hard to eat. I've genuinely had better frozen chicken. To sum it up, both of our meals felt like we were just eating a ton of bread. We both felt gross almost immediately after eating. I do want to make it clear that this has nothing to do with the service. Our server was incredibly sweet and clearly doing her best. However, there were only two servers working a completely full restaurant on a weekend morning. We counted roughly 20 tables per server, which is honestly unreasonable and a recipe for burnout. That's on management, not the staff. The only positive was that the aguas frescas had free refills. Overall, really disappointing. Between the poor food quality and repeated bad experiences, we won't be returning.
