We had a large party to celebrate a birthday. It was very easy to make the reservation. When we arrived, the table was ready. Bethanie was our server and she was magnificent. Drinks were ordered and came out quickly. Food was ordered and also came out quickly. Not one mistake or issue. She was excellent. We never had to wait for anything. She was on top of refills and any requests. She had other tables she was serving as well. She made the birthday brunch special and we definitely plan on returning. My boyfriend and I went to Huevos Avenue in Boulder City on Sunday 4/19, and unfortunately this was our second bad experience in a row. We used to come here and not mind the food, but after both a recent takeout order and this dine-in visit, we won't be coming back. He ordered the club sandwich with fries, and I got the chicken and waffles. Starting with the club, this was honestly shocking. It came with a single slice of ham (about 1 cm thick) cut into four pieces and placed on each quarter of the sandwich. No turkey like a typical club, and only a small half piece of bacon per section. It was basically bread with minimal filling. The fries had good seasoning, but they were completely soggy, which ruined them. My chicken and waffles were even worse. It was served with ranch instead of syrup, which was odd right off the bat. The waffle itself was dense and very bready. The chicken tenders were extremely overcooked--hard, stale, and honestly difficult to bite into. There was more breading than chicken, and the texture inside was so rubbery it was hard to eat. I've genuinely had better frozen chicken. To sum it up, both of our meals felt like we were just eating a ton of bread. We both felt gross almost immediately after eating. I do want to make it clear that this has nothing to do with the service. Our server was incredibly sweet and clearly doing her best. However, there were only two servers working a completely full restaurant on a weekend morning. We counted roughly 20 tables per server, which is honestly unreasonable and a recipe for burnout. That's on management, not the staff. The only positive was that the aguas frescas had free refills. Overall, really disappointing. Between the poor food quality and repeated bad experiences, we won't be returning. read more

I went to Boulder City to walk the Bootleg Canyon Park Nature Discovery Trail this morning. Although a short walk, after that, it's always a good time to have some breakfast. Before I left the parking lot at the park, I checked with the Yelp app and found Huevos Avenue, and it was only a bit more than a mile from where I was. I don't know how many times I have gone past and never knew this was there. Look for the BEST PANCAKES covering the front windows. There is plenty of parking. The dining room is large. I was seated quickly. Quite a few people came after I got there. Since I am generally not a pancake nor waffle eater, and having just been to the Nature Trail, why not get the nopales con huevos (eggs with cactus)? I was brought coffee right after sitting down. My server, Richard, was very personable and on the ball!. When he brought my breakfast, he took care to point out the Serrano pepper nestled on the scrambled eggs and warned me about the pepper's heat. It was excellent, very hot, but very tasty. I wish I had asked for a glass of water with the coffee! You get a choice of flour or corn tortilla. I usually stick with the flour as I did today. The scrambled eggs come with beans and house potatoes. I wish there was less liquid with the beans. This was a major breakfast after a minor trail walk but it was so good! I want to try more of their offerings but I also want exactly what I had again. Why have I not been here sooner? We were out for a long morning of shooting and decided on this restaurant for brunch. We were not disappointed. We were a large group of 6 and we were seated within minutes. Our waitress, who was a younger woman was bubbly and funny. She made us feel very welcome. You can imagine with 6 adults after 4 hours on the range, we were hungry. I think we may have ordered everything! She handled our very large and some very picky orders with ease. She got everything right. She kept our coffee mugs full and didn't miss a beat with her humor. Everyone was very happy with their food and even commented about it the next day. I ordered the fit omelet. Very green and very fresh. I would order again. Driving through we decided to stop at Huevos Avenue and give it a try on our road trip. We were seated quickly and they were pretty packed. Someone came and ask if anyone had taken our drink order yet. She took our drink order then another waitress came up and took our order. The ladies were very nice and accommodating. The restaurant had are on the wall and a TV that had pictures of their food. This made ordering easier if you'd never spotted by. Belgium waffle, breakfast with pancakes, and a patty melt were ordered. The patty melt was very good with the grilled onions and cheese yummy! The Belgium waffle was like a fluffy cake, oh so good. Absolutely cute egg themed restaurant. The art they had all around the restaurant was adorable. Service was quick and friendly and were helpful with suggestions. Hubs had the chicken fried steak breakfast he would say 4/5. I ordered the Mexican salad, my server suggested to have with fried chicken, cotija cheese and ranch/salsa for the dressing. Was promptly seated on a weekday morning . This is a very large facility with lots of seating options . The customers are predominately older as they are from Boulder City, however they made it very clear that they love this place ! The food was good . My husband had the breakfast burrito which he said was good ! I had the chilaquiles which were also good ! This is clearly a family establishment. We came in with a party of eight on a Sunday at about 1 PM. They were busy, but we waited only about 10 minutes for them to get us a table. The server was upfront with us that they were busy and it would take a while for their food. It took about an hour. It was Family and we were just chatting so it was OK but we were pretty hungry. We tried the onion rings and sweet potato fries, both of which were very standard. We tried the Dulce de Leche pancakes, which were delicious. The home fries were crispy and cooked just right. Egg dishes were correctly prepared. I had chilaquiles. The flavor was good, they had diced up the chips, which was a little unusual. The green sauce was tasty. I drove by this place, I think it's a former Pizza Hut. We went in and we're pleasant surprised by the large menu. They had all of the usual breakfast items you would expect plus crepes. That's way too much time since they only had one other table of two that ordered right after us. Omelette was ok. I can't complain it was loaded with veggies. The Swiss cheese was good. The wheat toast was good. Biscuits and gravy- biscuits were kinda like raw dough with a white gravy on top. 5/10. Sausage links tasted and even looked like larger frozen jimmy deans. I think Jimmy deans are better. They were a 4/10. Server was nice. Not very attentive. We are glad we tried it, but we will go to a competitor down the street from here on out for better everything including better prices. read more

Once we were seated we received menus quickly. After ordering however, it took about 25-35 minutes to get our food. Again, the place was packed with lots of families and large parties. I got the quesadilla burger and we received one of the omelets with hashbrowns. The omelet was amazing and I highly recommend getting one. We ordered Door Dash here on a whim and I was hard craving Biscuits and Gravy. These, hands down, were some of the best B&G I've ever stuffed in my face. I would've liked a tiny bit more gravy. We were visiting our parents and this is one of their favorite go to places for breakfast. We arrived today at noon and we're warmly greeted and seated. They know my parents by name. My folks typically get the waffle with strawberries and bananas and a French toast with strawberry and bananas. We got the three meat combo breakfast with the pancakes to share. We are always looking for good pancakes, are often disappointed. These ones were pretty good! We also enjoyed all three of the meats, but the bacon and the ham were our favorites. Such good food. We've been meaning to come in for awhile, but finally remembered to drive to Boulder City to try it. I had the chilaquiles with red/green sauce, eggs over easy and beans. I make chilaquiles at home quite a bit, so I was eager to try theirs. I was not disappointed. My husband had the combo with eggs, bacon and pancakes. He got the specialty pancakes (coffee cake) and they were delicious too. Since it was our first time, our server brought out some waffles for us to try. They were light and fluffy and very delicious. I might have to try that next time. The food was delicious, but in addition to the food, the menu presentation was pretty great. Pictures of everything listed, with nice descriptions of every plate.
