Perfect place after an early morning bike ride and the BLTE hit the spot! A side of cottage cheese and I hit my protein quota.
While I know going to a place as highly regarded like this, you should try one of their well known items. I just went for the basic breakfast of pancakes,bacon and a biscuit. This place did all the regular items perfectly. The place was packed and for good reason. My service was great as I was consistently checked in on, checking in on food and water. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment of Boulder City and this diner are also beautiful in their own marks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I needed a place to eat after visiting the Hoover dam and this place was perfect.
It was out first time here. We came after our hike on a Saturday and it was a bit of a wait so we built our appetite before dining in. Thankfully the location was perfect since there was a lot to see around the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place looked cool with a ton of decorations of skis on the ceilings and a lot of photos on the wall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Mind you when we dine in we're kind of easy because we order, eat, and leave. The service was good, we felt like we were taken care of and they were kind. We order the OG breakfast sandwich and the pork chili verde omelette. We came in really hungry so I thought it was going to hit the spot. My husband and I really tried to like the food but it just wasn't as flavorful as it looked. The croissant bread wasn't as buttery as we hoped for and since the pork chili verde omelette was seen on food network I had high hopes for it, just for it to taste bland. But I did enjoy the wheat toast. We were kind of disappointed because of all the good reviews this place has but it was at least a great experience to try it out.

While visiting Las Vegas, the Fat Man and his wife took a drive out to the Hoover Dam and stopped off in Boulder City to try The World Famous Coffee Cup Cafe. This is a family-owned, family-run staple breakfast and lunch destination for locals and people around the globe. It has also been featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. I had the Papa Con Chili Verde with hashbrowns. This dish is made with Pork Chili Verde, cheddar cheese, pepper jack, pico de gallo, and flour or corn tortillas. I added an over-easy egg as well. The hash browns had a really nice crunch and good seasoning. The egg was cooked perfectly with a nice runny yolk. The cheese added some gooey texture, a little salt, and a bit of bite, while the peppers added a nice crunch to each bite. The pico also added a bright, fresh texture to the dish. The Pork Verde was beautiful, with great spice and juiciness, tender yet with a good chew. The entire dish works well together, and it was hard to stop eating it. I also sampled their biscuit with homemade gravy. The biscuit was light and airy with great texture, chew, and flavor. It was buttery and fresh. The gravy was seasoned really well, with big chunks of well-seasoned sausage that weren't overpowering, along with sage and other seasonings. The gravy was thick enough to stand up in its own, but not so thick that it had the consistency of glue. Perfect, flavorful, and amazing are about the only ways I could describe it. My wife had the B.L.T.E. on sourdough with home fries. This sandwich is served with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and egg. The sourdough was thick-cut and lightly toasted, with a light flavor, crunch, and great chew. The lettuce and tomato were fresh, bright, and both had a great texture. The eggs were well fried and seasoned. The bacon was medium-thick, cooked to perfection with crunch, chew, and a great salty flavor. The home fries came in a huge portion, were well seasoned, but were undercooked and had an unwanted crunch. They also came with grilled onions, which tasted good, but I'm not sure why they were put on top of the potatoes rather than cooked along with them. Coffee Cup has a full menu for both breakfast and lunch. They serve loads of burgers, wraps, sandwiches, plate meals, burritos, omelets, diner classics, and sides. They have a full bar and serve beer. The staff was extremely nice, and the service and food were quick. The Fat Man says that The Coffee Cup Cafe is Fat Man Approved with 3 chins.
This place is incredible. So many delicious looking options that it was hard to choose what I wanted to eat. Everything we ordered was awesome. Super affordable prices too. I'm definitely coming back.

I ordered the country fried steak, which was a big portion and tasted great. My favorite part of the breakfast was actually the toast though, it was thick and pillowy! The perfect piece of toast to go along with the coffee :)
The crowds, always crowds around this establishment! Wow it looks amazing! We are not even sure what's happening and all the fun and happy here ! Let's check it out ! The fun starts outside and to see that this is a great place to eat and enjoy together . How special! Since its inspection in 1994, they serve American eats and drinks. In fact it's the best Dam cup of coffee too. It's family owned . It obvious that it's great . It's so busy after you order you hear the order when it's ready over the loud speaker. How epic ? If you can, only by chance get a spot outside to dine it's great to watch all the bikes and cars that come across the street. Located on Main Street, this is the spot that they all stop and share their stories at. What an incredible experience here? We are outsiders and get involved it's very exciting. The coffee will make it all worth it . How about the decor of this place? Stickers from all over they paint a picture of the peace and harmony that indicates the stories others have shared here. Love the interior decor especially during December this is my first time here we've never been inside before the times we come it's usually closed. The prices are very fairly priced and the pastries are made fresh daily. And they look amazing . The nitro cold brew with lavender is absolutely insane the lavender is so strong with i personally love the almond bear claw is next level. The staff was polite the place is very clean smells amazing and it's very warming and cozy. Love the place I'll be back for sure sooner than later. Keep up the hard work it shows.!!

There was a line but got seated quickly since it was just me...the counter moves faster! My server was Danielle - even though they were busy she was super attentive. Actually everyone working the counter was great & cheerful. I always think the owners must be good to their staff when literary everyone working is smiling. I got the country omelette with the gravy on the side & coffee. The jalapeno peppers gave it a nice little punch of flavor. Highly recommend...so glad I finally stopped in!

This spot is perfect for homey comfort foods! Please take into consideration wait times may be long. (I went on a weekend table for 2 was about a 35min wait.) luckily they have a bar where you can order mimosas and bloody Mary's from while you wait! The omelette here was delish.

My sister, my infant nephew, and I stumbled upon this place during a spontaneous day trip to Boulder City. It stood out to us right away, so we decided to drop in and were seated immediately. The staff instantly fell in love with my nephew--they even offered to hold him while we ate, though he was feeling a bit shy! We loved the welcoming energy from the start. I ordered the carne asada with eggs, beans, and avocado, which was super filling and a great value. My sister got the fish and chips, and the fries were incredible! We came to Boulder City for the antique malls and decided to try a random diner for brunch. The Coffee Cup had a line out the door this past Sunday, so we had to join the crowd and see what the hype was about. 25 minutes was worth the wait. With little to no background, we were surprised at all of the "As seen on Food Network" labels next to several menu items. It was hard to choose with so many lunch and breakfast options, but we settled on the Godfather Omelette with a waffle and the Meatloaf & Eggs. The Godfather was like a pizza inside of eggs. A very generous and tasty portion. The upgraded side of a waffle was well worth the price; fluffy, thick, and well flavored of vanilla. It's honestly a perfected classic, and the best waffle we've had in a while. The Meatloaf & Eggs were also great. The waitresses were so kind and personable. Very well equipped to handle a crowd and acquaintanced with many locals, addressing them by name. Our coffees and waters were consistently topped. We loved sitting at the counter and watching everyone. Fantastic service in this classic American breakfast diner. We stopped in for some breakfast, had the breakfast tacos - & the kahuna burger that was mentioned on the food network. I liked the French fries that came with the burger so much! As for the burger itself, it was good a slip & slider for sure because of the pineapple & sauce. Bf loved his breakfast tacos, second time hes ordered them. We love visiting Historic Boulder City and this past Friday took advantage of the cooler weather and came here for brunch shortly after 9:00 AM. No lines yet! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice vibe inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly service. The Meatloaf with 2 eggs and French toast was excellent! The Godfather Plate was a little spicy and also good but the Meatloaf entree was better. The pancake was good too. Huge portions! My go to breakfast spot in Boulder right in the heart of the downtown area. The food is always great and I love the cute mugs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathroom is clean which I always appreciate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are very popular so there is usually a wait. The service is friendly and efficient. You never feel rushed but they still get your food out quickly so you can get on with your day and your adventures. read more
If you visit Hoover Dam, do yourself and have breakfast or lunch at The Coffee Cup Cafe in Boulder City. If you're coming from Vegas, skip the freeway that goes around Boulder City - it's a short compromise but you'll thank me if you have a meal in this cute little town. We had brunch here before visiting Hoover Dam and it was great!It has a classic diner vibe with a very friendly home town kind of feeling. We were seated within a few minutes of our arrival and spent some time looking over the extensive menu. We learned one of their house specialties was the corned beef hash and our served, when asked, said she likes it crispy. I ordered the "Short on cash" plate - 1 pancake, 1 strip of bacon and 1 egg and a side of their corned beef hash (crispy). My wife ordered the waffle with banana along with the corned beef hash and 2 eggs. The food was delicious, prices very reasonable, and service was very good. I have no hesitation recommending a meal at the Coffee Cup Cafe. read more

What a great place!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was packed, figured it was the best restaurant in town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We only waited a short 15 mins but there was plenty of waiting seats and a server even came by and got us drinks. The service was top notch!!! Everyone was so polite and just made us feel very welcome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a tv inside, which I love, and we got seated right in front of it!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]No booths but a quaint ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food came very quickly and was delicious!!! We were visiting the area and friends brought us to the coffee cup which is an older restaurant in the beautiful Boulder City. The meatloaf and eggs was ordered by one of our party and it was the best of the meals! Everything was good but that was over the top good. With incredibly tender and flavorful meatloaf that was cut and seared on each side. The other notable dish was the pork chili omelet. The pork was cooked until tender and easily shred. Busy little spot but clearly a favorite location for locals.. we enjoyed the experience and reasonable prices. read more
stopped in for a quick breakfast in this fun little café. I was not super hungry so I asked the waitress if they could do a two egg omelette instead of a three egg and leave off the sides. She was very kind and asked the Cook to do my omelette to the specific order and he took care of me. I had the chili Verde omelette, which was spectacular and bumping down to the two egg with no sides was still a very large meal. Please check out this super cute café and tip your waitress well, because they deserve it. read more

They had a very extensive menu, so we all tried something different. Western omelette, build your own omelette and chili cheese dog burrito. All food was excellent! We also got mimosas, they were served in large water glasses, filled to the brim! I was so happy we finally got over there to try it. All I can say about this place is amazing! Food: The food there was all delicious, hands down. I got the breakfast croissant sandwich with sausage and man that thing was good! The hash brown's were good too! My uncle got the pancakes, let me have a piece and they were also good! Very huge and fluffy. I'd say the best part was the coffee. Gotta love that small coffee shop coffee, the best. Service: The service here was great. Staff were more than busy but very attentive. They checked up on us every 10-15 mins to see if we needed a refill on coffee or anything else. Ambiance: Very cool memorabilia everywhere which is nice and expected from a small diner. There's plenty to look around at and lots of mugs, shirts and stuff to buy from there too. Overall, if you're on a road trip checking out Hoover Dam, this place is a must go to in Boulder City! Go early because there is a long wait time as my experience was 40 mins before getting a table after checking in. Worth the wait though and I recommend checking out! read more

Stopped here for some breakfast on the way towards Utah this morning and was not disappointed. The pancakes were sooo much bigger than anticipated. Fresh and fluffy and a great choice for something lighter. Lots of leftovers. They had an extensive menu if you have a hearty appetite or a way to keep leftovers safely. The service was fast and friendly and the place had some really cool decor. For being smaller it wasn't overwhelming and didn't feel crowded. read more

Simply amazing... From the small town ambiance, to the warm friendly people you encounter while waiting outside... Everything is simply perfect. Then there is the service which is impeccable. Literally every lady was an absolute sweetheart to both my wife & I and we couldn't have been more pleased... There food is incredible. After a morning activity in town, my family and I decided to have lunch at The Coffee Cup. It came highly recommended on Google and Yelp. There was a long wait, which boded well for the experience. We found the service to be friendly and prompt, and liked the casual atmosphere. We ordered coffees and chocolate milks. The coffee was a bit disappointing. It tasted watery and lacked flavor. We then ordered pork verde omelette, while the kids ordered an OG breakfast sandwich and the Short on Cash breakfast, with chocolate chips added to the pancakes. We did not finish anything but the omelettes. The breakfast sandwich was a bit flavorless, with the bacon not enjoyable. We could only taste the bread. The pancakes did not taste like much beyond the syrup or the chocolate chips. We ordered bloody marys to replace the coffees we hadn't enjoyed, and found that those lacked any body to them. They were very thin and watery. We did not finish them. Overall, the service and ambiance were very nice, but the food was disappointing. read more

Our family finally had a chance to visit The Coffee Cup, a super charming diner in the heart of Boulder City. It's always busy so plan accordingly but there is lots of seating and they are efficient at moving people in and out. There's also a large counter if you are looking to jump in and out quickly. The menu is large with very reasonable prices and lots to choose from, whether breakfast or lunch. In fact, the menu is two sided with a ton of breakfast items on one side, and a similarly huge selection of lunch choices on the reverse. My daughter had French Toast, my wife had a standard eggs/hash browns/sausage links classic breakfast, and I decided to try the "Food Network" recommended Meatloaf and eggs. We all enjoyed our meals...my wife's was as expected but a shout out to super crispy hash browns (recommended!) and we all loved the thick homestyle sourdough toast provided with our meals. My daughter's French Toast was delicious and she loved it-- super good quality and great portions. As for my meatloaf, the eggs and hashbrowns were great but oddly, the meatloaf arrived cold and unfortunately needed to be sent back. The server brought back a brand new side of meatloaf after a few minutes and it was much better and had good flavor. The brown gravy that was over it was delicious and paired perfectly for this guilty pleasure diner staple. Overall, there are also lot of breakfast choices in Boulder City but we really enjoyed our time at The Coffee Cup. If you don't mind a short wait, you will be rewarded with some of the least expensive menu items we have seen lately, and great food quality overall. There is a reason they seem to have a loyal following and we look forward to returning!
