Talk about another great breakfast fine! I had seen this place online a couple of times, and decided to give it a go on Easter Sunday. Makers and Finders is super easy to find, although it is a bit of a windy parking lot to find them, there is ample parking once you get inside. The signage is bright, welcoming, the windows are outfitted with catch phrases and other identifying marks to make sure you do not miss this place at all. As soon as we entered the building, we recruited by the wait staff at the front, who showed us to our table. The interior had a very relaxed vibe to it. Super wide open spaces, great view of the kitchen, and great view of the coffee bar. They also had a takeout service where you could walk right up to the takeout area and get your stuff to go. Along the back wall was a very whimsical and detailed mural as to how the business got to Las Vegas. Do yourself a favor, take a moment and check it out because it is worth the watch. The menu has all kinds of great food items, on this particular day, my girlfriend picked out the the Lox Benny, which had slices of salmon on a potato slice rather than a English muffin. Very ingenious! Very ingenious! The presentation itself was very pretty, and looked almost too good to eat. I opted for the Coconut tray slides pancakes. Which were absolutely wonderful. They came with a fruit compote, and it really helped balance out the sweetness with a little bit of tart from the berries. Of course, we had to have the short rib empanada, with some of the most amazing chimichurri sauce I have ever had. I swear to you, this chimichurri sauce would make an old chew taste good! You are definitely going to want to order more of it as you will want to slather the empanada with as much of it as you can. They're coffee, which is how the business got started in. The first place, is really on point. Not super strong but definitely not on the medium or weak side. It was a perfect starter for the meal. The serve staff was really great, very friendly and fun and made the entire meal experience so fun and welcoming. This is yet another great breakfast spot that you can add to your short list for a lazy Saturday or Sunday morning, or when you have guests in town. I was in the mood for a good latte and some breakfast food, so I visited with family for a Sunday brunch outing based on a recommendation. We ordered a churro waffle, the Latin hash, a shrimp and garlic empanada, steak and eggs, and chicken fingers with French fries for my picky toddler. We adored each entrée except the empanada; I think I'd try a different flavor next time. The churro waffle was the perfect touch of sweetness to complement our savory dishes. From the espresso bar, we ordered an iced, extra-sweet dulce de leche latte and an iced horchata latte. The coffees were fantastic--the sweetness of the dulce de leche made it a delectable treat. The horchata latte was also a great choice for anyone who enjoys a little cinnamon in their coffee. The service was extremely friendly, and we can understand why the place was so busy. Now, full transparency,the Impossible sausage is sliced so thin it's basically playing hide-and-seek. Blink and you'll miss it. Barely visible, whispering "I'm here" from between the bread. BUT... plot twist: that strawberry sandwich sauce? That sauce shows up loud and proud and carries the whole operation on its back. They definitely compensate for the skimpy Impossible situation with extra potatoes,a move that will delight carb lovers and mildly confuse protein seekers. Good thing? Bad thing? Looking for breakfast and found this. Based of the pictures it looks pretty good. We get inside and I order my daughter kids plate and found out they don't make the eggs fresh they have a lot with premade scrambled eggs. That was a flag for me. Then the potatoes must be bagged frozen potted they throw in the fryer. The chicken tinga omelet was not good at all. The chicken had been made a few days ago it had an old chicken kind of taste. The egg had absolutely no seasoning. The steak was the only thing that was decent but even that had no seasoning itself and was tough. The chimichurri literally saved it by a threat. The coconut late was the star of this meal. Service was mehhh. Food was below average. Inside was decorative and clean I will give them that. If you're looking for something fresh and well seasoned good quality. Sadly this is not it. Which is strange you would think for its location it would be amazing. It's located off the 215 in Henderson by green valley. The pictures look great the food looks great but needs to improve on seasoning. Cook eggs to order. Fresh house made potatoes. Visited this location as I was in the area for an event. It's quietly tucked away in a plaza, much different than the other two locations in town. The overall ambience is quite different than the downtown and downtown Summerlin locations (I would say more industrial feeling). I got the maduros that I normally order and were good as usual! I tried the pork belly hash and didn't think it was very good. It had loads of belly which was great, but was lacking in other flavors of the dish. The bon bon layered latte was very good - made with condensed milk. My husband got a hot lavender fog and was disappointed that it came out already pretty lukewarm. Went here from brunch on a Sunday. It was packed, so there was a bit of a wait to get a seat. It was also pretty loud due to the music volume and the number of people attempting to talk over it. Easy to locate, the set up inside is good and the servers are nice and attentive. The food, well....for the prices it's quite disappointing. My avocado toast was one piece of bread, cut into 4 pieces and definitely was NOT toasted. The egg was cooked well though. No frills, very disappointing for $15+. Decided to stop by and give this place a try, and overall it was a good experience. I called ahead to get on the waitlist (which I loved), and we were seated within about 10 minutes after arriving. The vibe was really nice, such a cute spot. Our server was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. We tried the mimosa flight, and the hibiscus was definitely my favorite. One of my favorites! The food seems to get better every time I visit! They really have everything dialed in and I love the empanadas - best I've ever had!! So flaky, crisp, hearty filings, and perfect for a quick meal. I love all the specialty coffees and always try something new. The outdoor patio has cushioned seating and they added some planters for privacy. I really liked sitting outside and enjoyed the fresh air since the temps have been cooling. My current favorite drink is the cafe con leche. I've had a few of their lattes which were all flavorful. My wife has been here a few times and raced about the empanadas and their breakfast. So having a craving for empanadas we decided to pick up some and take them home. Usually picking up something fried wouldn't be a good idea but the empanadas held up great. Also the fact that they close at 3 meant picking them up early and reheating. I arrived and when I walked in I was greeted right away , the staff were friendly and helpful. I placed my order and probably waited 5 mins for it to be done. Everything smelled real good and I couldn't wait to dig in. After bringing home a bag of hot empanadas and having to reheat them they were perfect, still crispy and everything was yummy. What arrived at my table, however, was a steak that was unmistakably well done to the point of being nearly charred. There was no hint of red, no tenderness, no ambiguity. It was overcooked by any reasonable culinary standard, and certainly by the expectation set by the words "medium rare." When I politely asked for the dish to be corrected, the interaction somehow became worse than the meal itself. The manager approached the situation with a passive-aggressive tone that suggested I was the problem, not the plate in front of me. Rather than acknowledging the obvious mismatch between what was ordered and what was served, she spent several minutes delivering a condescending lecture about how their restaurant determines doneness by internal temperature, not appearance. This explanation would perhaps be relevant in a culinary classroom, but in a restaurant setting it was both unnecessary and insulting. Diners are not issued thermometers at the table, nor should they be expected to suspend basic sensory perception to accommodate a house "philosophy." Medium rare has an understood meaning across virtually every steakhouse, grill, and restaurant in the country: a warm red center. When a steak is uniformly brown and cooked through, no amount of semantic gymnastics or temperature talk changes what it is. What was most astonishing was the complete lack of tact. At no point did the manager attempt to de-escalate, empathize, or simply make it right. Instead, she seemed intent on defending an abstract standard at the expense of customer satisfaction and common sense. The subtext was clear: my eyes were wrong, my expectations were wrong, and I should accept what was put in front of me because it aligned with her definition, not reality. Good management isn't about winning arguments; it's about reading the room. In this case, the room contained a visibly overcooked steak and a customer who knew it. Doubling down on a flawed position rather than offering a sincere correction or apology demonstrated a troubling disconnect from hospitality fundamentals. Mistakes happen in kitchens. How they are handled is what separates competent restaurants from forgettable--or actively unpleasant--ones. This location chose ego over service and explanation over accountability. That choice ensured that not only was the meal unsalvageable, but the entire experience was. Randomly decided to come here for brunch since I was in the area. I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately. It was my first time, and since the menu featured several empanadas I assumed that's what they were known for. I ordered some coffee, a mimosa, and chicken tinga and garlic shrimp empanadas with a side of rice, black beans, and fruit. The rice was so delicious that I ended up finishing that first. The fruit consisted of mostly berries, which I love. The black beans were what you would expect with cheese sprinkled on top. The empanadas were of course the star of the show. Both crispy and flavorful. I love how they marked each empanada so that I knew which one was which. The bartender was very attentive and friendly. Wish I could remember his name. We used to frequent the downtown location but kind of stopped because of how far it is from us and because, while the food and drinks were still good, the last few times we were in, the service was seriously lacking. Since I missed the excellent food and coffee of Makers & Finders, we decided to finally come into this location. Maybe the service would be better here. It was not. It may have been worse. Walking in, we were seated right away but not with the other diners. We sat very close to the door, right next to the host stand, and I'm not going to lie, it felt like we were being punished. I know that's not the case and it was probably for servers and their sections but honestly, our server was with us and the section clear across the restaurant so I'm not sure what was happening. Someone with crutches came in and they were not sat as close to the door as we were, even though it was very hard for her to navigate through the tables. I did hear the manager scolding the hostess about how she was seating people so maybe that was it? Who knows. Speaking of said manager, he was super unprofessional in the fact that I could hear him speak to the hostess like that. He also spent too much time laughing and smiling with one particular server. The reason I noticed this is because we were completely forgotten about and I wanted to speak with him but he was in full evade mode. By the time someone came by to see if we had been helped (not our server, a different server in a different section just happened to notice that we had our menus for a long time, it had been 10 minutes), he finally came back to the front, so I had no complaints anymore, at least so I thought. I noticed that he warmly greeted and said goodbye to people, except for us. Are we lepers? I've heard of restaurants putting unattractive people in the back but this was ridiculous. When our server did finally show up, she was very nice. I think she may have been new? She wasn't a good server but she was a nice person. The food was just ok, but the drinks were great. This is why I give them an "ok" 3 and not a "could've been better" 2. My shorty (which I get a lot) had a lot of water and wasn't very flavorful. My husbands fries were rock hard and cold. Couldn't complain though, you can't catch a server here. Thankfully, our server did show up when we wanted to gtfo and we paid right away were were released from this circle of hell. After some time at the Henderson Bird Preserve, I stopped here for breakfast. It's a quick drive from the 215 exit and there is abundant parking in the shopping area where M&F is located. Having been walking in the sun for a couple of miles, I was in for some coffee that was iced. Looking at the drinks menu, I opted to try the iced Mexican spice latte. For breakfast, something different--I ordered the breakfast empanada which consists of two empanadas with potato, egg, bacon, and cheddar. This is served with rice and black beans topped with queso fresco. There was a small cup of house sauce with the empanadas. The iced latte tasted very good but I didn't perceive very much flavor from the 5 spice house syrup along with the abueltia chocolate. There was flavor so it wasn't just a plain latte, but it needed more flavoring. The empanadas were good. Nicely browned, flaky edges, and stuffed with the ingredients mentioned above. The most noticeable ingredient was the potato. The house sauce served with the empanadas was excellent. It gave some flavor to the potato stuffed empanadas. There was no hint of bacon at all. Tjhe black beans with some queso fresco were OK. Service was excellent. My server was around while I was there to check on me and she was a very pleasant woman. M&F is worth a stop.
