My boyfriend and I stopped by The Coffee Class on a Saturday morning around 10:00 AM, and it's clear this spot is a local favorite. It was packed! There was no seating available inside or out, but since we had planned to grab our treats and go do some shopping, it didn't bother us at all. The food and drinks completely stole the show. I ordered the homemade Cherry Amaretto Poptart, and it was absolutely mouthwatering. The cherries had the perfect tartness, balanced by the sweetness of the amaretto, and the pastry itself was delicious. My boyfriend raved about the Strawberry Meringue Cake. He loved that it wasn't just a boring white cake with a strawberry slapped on top; the cake had a great spongy texture with a nice chew, and the cream had an amazing, almost marshmallow like texture. For my drink, I got an iced chai. Finding a good chai can be tough, but this one nailed it. It wasn't overly sweet, allowing the actual spices to stand out beautifully. A quick tip on parking; Water Street can be a little tricky. We ended up parking across the street behind some other businesses, which worked out totally fine for us, but just something to keep in mind if you're visiting during peak hours. We are already looking forward to coming back to try more of their drinks and rotating pastries. Highly recommend!

Almond croissant with iced butter toffee latte

Beautiful, chic ambiance. Friendly staff. Tasty iced butter toffee latte. The almond croissant, however, was a tad too sweet for my liking. Also, very pricey but that's to be expected with most coffee shops anywhere you go these days. Free street parking on Water St. Would love to see more variety in the food offerings -- maybe more salads and sandwiches. Otherwise, cute spot to visit with friends or enjoy some reading.

They're a couple months in, and they might already be the class of Water Street. The Coffee Class is a local homegrown chain that has recently opened up in the ambitious three-story spot on Water St near Pacific that didn't quite work out for the former burger spot there. I've often had good but not spectacular experiences at their original store and their closer-to-home spot recently rebranded as "Horizon Shine," but they just clicked today. I was able to park in their back lot off that narrow alleyway behind the building, then walked through their first-floor patio to gain entrance. I was intent on trying at least some of their Las Vegas Restaurant Week menu ($3 donated to Three Square per item), which actually appear to have been regular menu staples before Restaurant Week started, and ended up ordering most of the designated items. The French Dip Au Jus ($18.00) was one of the better sandwiches I've had lately. The jus was rich but actually contributed a bit too much saltiness, and I actually ended up eating most of the sandwich without it as it was inherently delicious. The bread was crispy but also soft, the roast beef and Swiss were nice, and that caramelized onion aioli must have done a lot of work carrying the overall flavor. The Croque Madame Croissant ($18.00) was pretty good, but frankly is a bit of a misnomer. The poached egg was cooked properly, the croissant was solid, and the Mornay is close enough to Hollandaise sauce, but they use thick-cut bacon instead of ham, so the vibe just doesn't hit. But at least the side salad, which is the same one as was served with the French Dip Au Jus, was made with fresh arugula and a nice dressing. We were also fortunate enough to grab the last Fruit Tart No. 1 ($8.00) of the day, as it was another real hit in the meal. The crust was nicely crumbly, the cream was rich, and the apple actually stood out in an array of fruits that included strawberry, mango, kiwi, and dragon fruit. I've had mixed experiences with beverages in prior Coffee Class visits, but everything worked today. I never try the teas, so I thought I'd try the Jasmine Lychee Tea ($5.00+$2.50 upsize to 24 oz). The jasmine wasn't super-strong, but the tea was pleasant, and the lychee contribution was mostly in minced fruit rather than overpowering amounts of syrup. Overall, it was quite balanced and delicious. The House Coffee ($4.50) usually works, and today it was strong and went nicely with the complimentary half and half. One employee actually asked if we wanted a free refill of the 12 oz pitcher, which we gladly agreed to. And the complimentary water, with ice added after they indirectly noted that the pitchers weren't iced, was also refreshing and free of any off-flavors. The employees were all nice and helpful in interactions mentioned above and more. The first-floor interior seating had enough space on a weekday late morning even with a copious amount of tables being camped on. The atmosphere felt more quiet than my experiences at their original locations and featured easy pop-rock from a wide span of decades. I had one of my favorite Coffee Class experiences yet today, and although I don't plan to order the cold brew in the near future, I'm more excited than before about returning more regularly either to this location or the one closer to me. Check them out mainly if you're looking for a cafe that doubles as a lunch and beverage spot.

Chef Michael receiving cronut love

Came for the grand opening. At 8 :\ got there at 7:20 and I believe he said we were around 100th in line. Free lattes and goodies stopped at 50. I talked to the guy who was #1, he said he got there 8 hours before! O_o I'm not sure what I'd be willing to wait that long for. The food is my favorite and it wasn't free so I'd really have to think long as hard about that! Anyway! I found this place on ig w the Maine blueberry pop tarts. Hooked up brunch for old ladies birthday. They take inkind which I appreciate as I usually have some kind of credit there. From the food to the service, I'm hooked!!! In line Noah and Kyle were walking back and forth for various things. I didn't find out who they were til we got inside. Like I mentioned it started at 8, and by the time we stepped inside it was 9. Noah moved us all in the shade which was appreciated. I checked here not knowing they'd already opened, this was just the big celebration. There was musicians both downstairs and up (I didn't realise until we were eating and I forgot who told us there was an upstairs). Kyle took my order and I was asking him questions about drinks and food and telling him what I noticed w my last drink and he helped make some alterations this time, and helped me between food choices. I was thinking, he's super knowledgeable. Now it all makes sense! We did the poblano bowl, dip, lemonade berry cronut, churro pop tart, tiramisu latte and banana bread with a banana cloud top. We were sitting at almost 60 bucks before the bogo drink and the credit I had on inkind. It's not the cheapest but it's ABSOLUTELY worth it. The only thing that could make it better is if things were organic, seed oil and gum free, etc. We found a cute little table by the window but not out of the way. Servers were very busy taking out food and drinks. They were all kind and working very hard. The cronut came out first, on a plate. Then the food. Then my pop tart. Idk if. It was bc our table was kind of small or just their opening growing pains but it was in a bag. Other ones I saw were served on plates. I can't and don't finish it in one sitting but presentation wise would've appreciated it on a plate like the rest. Our drinks took an exorbitant amount of time. We even asked Kyle, and he apologized under the opening growing pains. I attributed it to our order being taken on the handheld. Ppl who were rang up on the regular registers go their pastries handed to them right then and their drinks came out faster. Woman was starting to get testy, then they showed up. Bc of the bogo they were large and man are they! The dip was glorious. The way the bread, meat, cheese and au jus blend is amazing. The egg bowl was also tasty. Woman ate the whole thing at once which is rare. She scoffed that I ordered her the cronut until she took a bite. She couldn't and wouldn't stop raving about it. Pop tart is also highly raveable and recommended! The drinks were tasty! I didn't try hers but she enjoyed it. Kyle advised half sweet on the banana bread if I don't like sugary drinks. That was the perfect level of sweetness. The banana they use is like essence. I only tasted it in the cloud top faintly. I loved the drink though. Better than the biscoff banana. While we sat Kyle walked by and I picked his brain a bit to learn he's director of operations and Kyle actually owns them! He's got 6 stores across 3 brand, is young and black. I love to see it! He's so kind and humble you'd truly never know. I respect that approach so much. Noah seconded that. He was also amazing and the star of some of their ig videos. We gave them both compliments, I hope they appreciated hearing positive feedback from customers. It means more to me because my mom is a tough customer and she's thoroughly enjoyed everything she's had here. I hopped on the elevator, Xchelle was amazing! Outdoors is beautiful and the views are picturesque. I absolutely would've gotten a table there had I known. They're planning a bar to open in July but for the day there was mocktails and a musician. The bartender told me it was a cold brew something. First sip was rough but it grew on me and I drank woman's as she couldn't get past the bite. Kyle said they will absolutely have mocktails on the menu so that's something to look forward to. Staff passed offering boxes. I asked if I could have a cup for my au jus, she just brought me a fresh one which I appreciated. On the way out we saw the executive chef- Kyle pointed him out when we were raving. Michael. My mom shared her cronut love. He got her one to go! So kind! I got to thank the man responsible for the pop tart!!! He said he's working on mango raspberry! I was curious about new items and menu rotation. I'm so jealous of their test kitchen. He told me he really enjoyed his job. It's obvious. If you cannot tell for SO many reasons I'm a fan! Love, love love! And here's to our ticket being pulled in the raffle! Oh! I tried the cronut. Criminal!

Was excited to go here as it's much closer to us than the other 2 locations. We were having lunch across the street and needed some caffeine and sweets and it was perfect. I know the upstairs have not opened yet so we only saw the 1st floor and outside patio. It was quite hot today so we sat inside. We got there around 1pm on a Saturday so not a huge selection of pastries but it's ok, I grabbed 3 different pastries to try. We each got a drink to enjoy. We enjoyed our drinks and pastries. The gal that was taking our order was so nice to give us a bunch of recommendations to what we like. Our drinks and food items were brought out to us and we didn't have to come and get it. That's quite nice as we were in conversation. Like the decor, especially the furniture. Clean look. Prices are a bit high but other than that, no complaints.

Doesn't get better than the coffee class! The new water street location is adorable and the pastries & coffee is just as good! I stopped by recently and grabbed a fruit tart, mixed berry lemonade cronut, & banana biscoff latte. So dang delicious! The service was excellent as always. S/o to Gabriel for the amazing hospitality. If you're looking for a sweet treat and some good coffee stop on by! The banana biscoff latte is limited time so hurry and grab yours! Thank you Coffee Class Team!

This location is even closer than the other one i usually go to so this is gonna be my new spot for sure! I love the pop-tarts and the coffee here! Also love the vibes, outdoor seating and friendliness of the staff.

Chocolate milk and Dubai chocolate latte

I'm such a huge fan of The Coffee Class and love that they're opening so many locations around the valley. The newest location is in Henderson on Water Street. We stopped in on Easter Sunday during their opening weekend. We were welcomed in immediately upon walking into the store. There is plenty of seating inside and a patio area outside with plenty of tables. The pastry case had plenty of pastries on display. They all look so good. We ordered a lemon blueberry cronut and the new French dip sandwich to eat and a Dubai chocolate latte and chocolate milk to drink. The lemon blueberry cronut was both sweet and tart. The French dip was savory and very filling. They were pretty crowded both inside and outside but service and food were on point.

Amazing service. Friendly staff. Delicious and unique tasting drinks!! More to be added to the building in the future! Can't wait!

10/10! For those familiar with what was in this location before, you'll definitely be blown away by the ambiance. This was our first time visiting and the staff was beyond friendly, provided great recommendations, and even offered to swap out our drinks if we weren't satisfied! The food looked amazing and tasted even better. Will return for sure!

Needed an EEFFOC fix this morning with a nice fresh in-house Churro Pop Tart. The newest location located in the Water District with great customer service. All baked good goods are made in house and not outsourced. Numerous locations throughout Las Vegas.

This is such a welcoming coffee shop. I absolutely loved the employees kindness and patience. They were knowledgeable about their menu and were able to assist me in choosing my items. I loved the tiramisu coffee so much I ordered 2 and took one to go! There is plenty of seating inside and out. I would definitely recommend a visit!

Banana nut bread latte, Dulce de leche latte, plus flowers they gave out for Mother's Day!

Loved our visit to The Coffee Class on Mothers Day! The staff were super warm, friendly, and patient, despite it being a crazy busy day. We drank the banana nut bread latte and dulce de leche latte, and both were delicious! There was plenty of seating available both indoors and out. We didn't try and of the food items this visit, but they looked beautiful and tasty. Can't wait to return! Bonus points for them giving a flower to my mom for Mother's Day!

I will go here anytime I am in the area and it is worth going out of your way for! I wish I would have taken pics, but I had the creme brûlée (not sure if it was a croissant or danish), my kids had the bueno croissant and my wife had the almond croissant. I also got the lemon tart to go. Quick note, as others have mentioned, it isn't cheap. You are paying for an authentic and quality experience that is well worth it, but don't go here thinking you're going to get out for a couple bucks, this isn't a donut shop :)

We ordered the Ube Cake online, and the slice hit the spot perfectly. The cake looked beautiful - nice tall layers of soft, moist purple ube sponge cake with thick white cream filling, a creamy yellow custard-style center, and finished with whipped cream on top. The ube flavor was well-balanced: that signature nutty, earthy sweetness without being overly sweet. I've had great home-cooked Filipino ube desserts before. While this is clearly a fusion bakery version, it still captured the comforting, celebratory vibe that ube brings to Filipino tables. It reminded me of the festive sweets you'd find at family gatherings or parties back in my wifes home country. The online ordering was convenient, but the pickup instructions could have been better. The pickup area is on the same side as the drink pickup, which caused a little confusion during a busy time. Service was otherwise fast and friendly, the bakery was clean and well-stocked, and prices are reasonable for the portion size. If you're in the Henderson/Las Vegas area and looking for a quick ube fix or any of their other Asian- and Filipino-inspired pastries, this spot is worth a stop. The ube cake was definitely the highlight for me. Would definitely grab another slice next time I'm craving something purple and delicious!

CREPES, COFFEE AND MORE…read more.. I went to this French cafe over a week ago to try to get a crepe to go. It was not overly busy. It's very casual and easy to order at the counter and go. Think again. I got through the line quickly. Placed my order and watched everyone around me receive their food, dine and leave within 30 minutes all while I was still standing at the front waiting for 1 gluten free crepe with fruit. There was a sign up front that asked guests to be prepared to wait longer times so I really tried to be patient. I waited. After 40 minutes still standing up front I still had no crepe. I asked the cashier if she remembered me and she said my order would be ready momentarily. I took a closer look at the order and noticed that the gluten free crepe was buckwheat batter of which when I ordered they didn't make mention of this. Due to my allergies and sensitivity I had to wait again to speak with someone else who appeared to be managing, perhaps the owner. He claimed they make their own batter and brought out the bag of buckwheat flour. Then read on google the ingredients. I really thought a gluten free crepe was mainly made of alternative flour such as coconut flour--not here. I also pulled up this information however I did not want to take a risk. He told the cashier at the counter to issue me a refund and he turned back around to make more coffee orders. I overall felt like I had wasted my time here. I used to take my kids here and haven't been here since they remodeled and expanded. I was by myself and really just wanted something to eat but was not offered anything else. That part upset me the most. Then my refund took a week long. Really thought the refund should have been immediately. The cafe is really cute! I love the decor and feel in here but just really disappointed in this whole experience and not the best quality of customer service. Located on Horizon Ridge Parkway in Green Valley.

The 2 tier cake was both chocolate and vanilla and was impossibly moist and delicious!! Such a wonderful experience! When I get married next year-- she's 100% doing my cake. Thanks Darlene!!

Im writing this review because I watched my sisters utter disappointment and anguish hours before…read moreher wedding after Darlene sent her a picture of what could only be described as a "bowler hat" of a wedding cake. Lindsay, my sister, sent me pictures months ago showing me what she wanted and those pictures were sent to Darlene. Very simple, no frills, black, flat top, chocolate cake with smooth sides. Ive seen the pictures on her site,so I know she could do this. If she couldn't, she shouldve done a practice run and at least given Lindsay more than a few hours notice before dropping a bomb on what should be the happiest day of someones life. This is so insanely unprofessional! Honestly, a refund is not even enough for doing that to someone on their wedding day! I spent the day before the wedding calling every single bakery in Las Vegas, willing to pay double to get her something to be able to cut with her husband on her happy day and it was too short of notice. Not only did Darlene not apologize, she tried to pass off a bulbous, over decorated cake that looked absolutely NOTHING like the picture, saying "here's your gorgeous cake". When Lindsay expressed that it wasnt even remotely close to what they discussed, she took no accountability, offered no solution and simply said, "it can't be changed, sweetheart". Upon further conversations, she said she would "try" to make something else. At $350 for flour and sugar, it should look exactly like the picture. It honestly probably took more work to make what she presented than what Lindsay actually wanted. As a small business owner myself, I know mistakes happen, but I also know the importance of customer service, making things right and taking accountability. Word to the wise, maybe do a test run first to ensure your wedding day isn't ruined if you choose to work with Darlene.
