We absolutely love this place! It appears to be pretty popular too! It was busy when we visited, but not too bad. We were greeted upon entering and they were kind enough to talk us through the menu. I went with the iced Ube matcha and the pistachio banana bread, which they warmed up for me. My youngest ordered an iced strawberry matcha and an ensaymada. My oldest had an iced vanilla matcha and an empanada that was off a special menu they had. We opted to dine in and grabbed a cute little table for ourselves. Love all the little sheep around the place. Everything was wonderful! The matcha was perfect, the banana bread was decadent! My oldest still talks about the empanada she had! The Pizza Croissant was just the right amount of savory, which contrasted nicely with the nutty and sweet flavor of the Pistachio Banana Bread. After seeing many TikTok videos about Middle Black Sheep, I decided it was time to give it a try. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly clean everything was. Nothing felt too cluttered and everything was impeccably clean. I ordered the pistachio iced latte and banana jackfruit iced latte, which were around $9 for 16oz. A little pricey, but for 16oz it feels more worth it. The drinks were amazing! The two lattes tasted exactly as they were described and made it worth the trip alone. The five stars are well deserved for the ambiance and little details alone. We have a couple friends who've said Middle Black Sheep is pretty good, so we decided to give them a try a couple weeks ago. The space is clean with a more modern interior and fun pops of red with their sheep décor throughout. There was ample seating, but the tables down the middle of the café were waaaaay too close together. During our time there, we saw so many people struggle with easily accessing the water station and trashcan because of this. I think losing just 1 table & set of chairs would make it more convenient for customers. When we walked up to order, it was a tad awkward while we stood there for about 3-4 minutes with no real acknowledgment of our presence, but once one of the baristas was available to assist us, she was very friendly. We came for breakfast, so I ordered a butter croissant along with an Ube Matcha w/ Oat Milk. The croissant was nice and doughy with a flaky crust; my drink was enjoyable but I did wish it had been just a tad sweeter. My husband LOVES Ferrero Roche so he opted for the Ferrero Latte; he said it was decent but far too decadent and sweet. For breakfast he had the almond croissant which was also good. Our first time checking this spot out. It's a small coffee joint and it was packed when we arrived around 10:30am on a Saturday. I quickly grabbed the only open table and she stood in line to order our coffee. The Vietnamese coffee is loaded with a quad shot of espresso so it wasn't as sweet as it usually is, but it was a good balance. We ordered a Turon Brulee Latte which is one of their seasonal drinks, house drip coffee and a Classic Ensaymada. I have mixed feelings about the Turon latte...I tasted the jackfruit and the banana but I'm not sure I like it as a latte. I think I would rather have a turon, haha. The ensaymada was decent. I loved that their menu included several Filipino-inspired items, and ordered several of them to try. - Turon Brulée Latte: OMG this was so strong and creamy and sweet (not cloyingly so). It gave me the best and headiest buzz ever. So much so, that I decided to go on a hike and powered up those hills like it was nothing. I honestly have never tried a drink like this one. 10/10 recommend. - Laing Empanada: Savory and tasty pastry with a pork and spinach filling. My only critique is that it seemed a little small. I would have no notes if it were only a tad bit bigger. - Ube Cream Ensaymada: Great flavor, soft and doughy, yum. Again, I wish this was just a tad bigger. I love what Middle Black Sheep is doing. I stopped by this cafe this morning and overall had a nice experience, especially when it came to the atmosphere and service. The space is minimalistic and cheery, and the moment I walked in I was greeted with an enthusiastic "good morning, welcome in." That immediately set a pleasant tone. My drink was also made very quickly, which was appreciated. There's plenty of seating, but mostly for solo visitors or pairs. Most of the tables are small and have two chairs. Along one wall, there are two larger tables to accommodate larger groups. It seems like a popular spot for people working remotely or studying, and the vibe really supports that. It's relaxed and clean, and jazz music was playing softly. I also LOVE how clearly the health scores are displayed; framed and easy to view. I've noticed some other spots in the Vegas area keep theirs out of the way, so this was reassuring. It tracks, since the cafe was so well-kept. No crumbs on the tables or anything. Now for the drink. I ordered a cloud matcha with almond milk. Unfortunately, this was a total miss for me. I took my first sip while on the phone with a friend and immediately said it might be the worst matcha I've ever had. It was very watery, with barely any matcha flavor. It mostly tasted like milk. The drink was very pretty and visually enticing, so I was thrown. I tried doctoring it up at home, but it still didn't improve much. I did finish it since I paid for it, but I can't say I recommend it. That said, I'd be open to coming back and maybe trying a coffee instead. Maybe matcha just isn't their strong suit. I decided to pop by here after work for a Wednesday afternoon pick me up. Parking is a little difficult to find, but I found a good spot nearby and walked over. It was a little busy inside but it wasn't too packed. It looked like there were a lot of college students prepping and studying for their final exams, so it seems. There's a lot of drink choices on the menu, so I had to take a minute to look at it. I then went ahead and ordered their ube latte. I'm not sure why, but I find ube to be colorful and delicious in coffee form, especially when it has that pretty purple color on top. It's very possible that I may come back again, so I decided to give them my phone number and signed up for their rewards program. I'm sooooo happy that my aunt recommended this place to me, because their ube latte was REALLY good! Oh my goodness! I think this was one of the best ube lattes I've had in a while, even the purple topping made it even tastier. Wow! Stopped in for a morning coffee and pastry before touring apartments with my friend. I have been seeing the ferrero latte on my tiktok since they had their grand opening and it did not disappoint. I also got a spinach and feta pastry as a recommendation from the barista and it was such a good call! Love everything about the sheep and the story behind it There's a decent amount of seating and looks like the place for students to study. I definitely like the coffee better than the matcha here. The pistachio latte is the best drink of the bunch I've tried thus far! Followed by the Ferrero latte, but each of those speciality lattes are $9 lol... I've tried 4 different matcha drinks here and haven't liked a single one unfortunately :( they all lack a strong matcha flavor, and for the triple matcha and cloud matcha, it was just missing the creaminess and sweetness I would expect. If I had to choose strawberry matcha was probably the best. Saw another review saying that the matcha apparently comes unsweetened and you have to request to add in sweetener. Wish I knew about it before I left! If you're on the hunt for a latte I'd check it out, but the matcha here just doesn't hit the mark for me. read more

I am always looking for new local coffeeshops to try and Filipino-owned MBS popped up on my radar recently. Located in a quiet plaza just off the freeway, the decor is simple with several cozy sheep accents. The drink menu has a good variety with flavored lattes, tea and matcha drinks and several signature "cloud" drinks that are on the sweeter side. They also have several desserts/pastries but were down to a dwindling selection by 10:30AM so go early if you have your eye on something specific. I swung in for a visit this past weekend and tried their Vietnamese Cold Brew. My total with tax and tip came to nearly $11, which was a bit steep, but I did enjoy my drink - it was strong but not too sweet. Service was pleasant but a little slow, they seemed to still be getting their footing, which is understandable. I've tried just about every coffee shop around Vegas and was hoping to find a new go-to one when I heard of this place especially since it's in Henderson but sadly was disappointed. When entering coffee shops, I'm always expecting the aroma of freshly brewed coffee to hit my nose once I open the door but it was opposite here. The second I walked in, the place smelled like a sewer so idk if they had a plumbing issue that day but even my 3yr old called it out and instantly covered her nose and said "mommy it stinks" lol but i decided to still try it out anyways since I shouldn't let that effect me. The price first off was ridiculous compared to what im used to paying at all the other coffee shops around the area. I got their Ube matcha and pistachio latte. The drinks definitely looked pretty and aesthetic, but that's where it ended cause the flavor was definitely nothing to remember. Both drinks were pretty mid and somewhat bland so I drank about half of each just to not waste and tossed the rest. I'm glad I gave the place a chance but will definitely not be returning. read more
