    Cold Brew Coffee
    Ethan C.

While there's minimal signage from the road or parking lot, it's worth making the trip inside for a good coffee served by friendly people! It's a small space located inside a medical office, so don't be thrown off when you don't see a sign anywhere, just head inside and you'll see a sandwich board and the open door leading into their shop. The staff were so friendly, and drinks were made quickly. Overall, great coffee. I know cold brew isn't the most expressive coffee option, but I feel like a lot of places don't put as much care into a good cold brew. Not here! A medium roast, smooth and low acidity cup of cold brew awaits, so it fits my preferred coffee profile well. I'm happy I gave them a try, and I think you should too.

16oz Iced Matcha Latte w/ vanilla syrup and standard w/ oat milk

Just stopped into Windfall about an hour ago and enjoyed our experience. They are located inside a medical center, so there is no outside signage, but once you enter through the main building entrance they are very easy to find. Parking is also plentiful with easy access for anyone with physical disabilities. The cafe was small, but still offered ample seating inside along with a few tables outside facing Horizon Ridge Pkwy. It was also decorated nicely with a gender neutral restroom available. Upon waking in, we were immediately greeted by multiple employees. The man who took our order was very friendly and offered us a punch card to earn a free drink after 10 purchases. My husband opted for a cold brew coffee, no flavor added, and thoroughly enjoyed it. He liked the nice flavor of the roast along with the low acidity. I opted for an iced matcha latte with vanilla. The matcha lattes come standard with oat milk which is perfect because that's what I prefer. They appear to use a high quality matcha as it's very vibrant in color and has low bitterness. I am enjoying my drink, but next time I'll ask for less vanilla syrup as it's a tad sweet for me. We only came for drinks today, but they do also have a decent sized breakfast & lunch menu with very fair prices. We'll definitely be back to support this friendly and delicious coffee shop!

Really awesome banana foster drink. I added caramel sauce to it and wow I love it. The toffee chocolate muffin could've been more sweet but it did its job. Awesome little shop with ample seating. I would definitely come by more often whenever I make it to this side of town. The employee was super nice and welcoming. I visited their pop up once before so it's nice to see them in their shop now.

    Iced pistachio mint latte

You might recognize Windfall Coffee from local farmers markets, they now have a coffeeshop tucked into an orthopedic center in Henderson - note that they're only open 8AM-3PM, weekdays only. I was able to stop by since I had a work meeting in the area. The shop is small but cute, with plenty of tables, a little patio, and free wifi. I got their cold-brew based iced coffee, with pistachio-mint flavoring. Staff were friendly and asked about the sweetness level of my drink, which was appreciated - it wasn't too sweet, the mint doesn't come through too much but definitely order this if you like pistachio. They also have some breakfast and lunch dishes if you're hungry!

Ordering counter is super cute. Love the tagline.

Best local coffee roaster in town! Freshly roasted beans available and amazing cold brew. Also, the matcha latte is on point . This cafe is super cute, located in the medical complex on Horizon and Coronado center. Great breakfast, lunch and smoothies. The owners are super nice and here to help you with anything you need. Swing by for some amazing coffee and treats.

Since…read moreit's down the street from my house and always seems to be on the way to where I'm going, I decided to stop in and give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did! I love a good cup of coffee. My preference is cream and some sort of sweetener. Other times, I'll go for a latte, a mocha, or some specialty drink. Drink. When I saw the cherry blossom latte on the menu, I knew I had to give it a go. And what a more perfect complimentary side dish than a humongous chocolate chip cookie? But first, let's talk about the aesthetic. From the outside this place seems pretty standard. Huge sign, the windows are reflective so you can't really see inside, but when you open the door you are in for a treat. I love a good coffee shop that takes pride in their decor and this one definitely does it. In spades. The place feels open, elegant, but not stuffy, and definitely casual. It's the kind of place you could bring your laptop and hang out for a few hours and get some work done. Okay, let's get down to the nuts and bolts. That Cherry Blossom latte was one of the most amazing drinks I have ever had. I heard it's seasonal, so it's one of those. Get it when you can. I think I got it on the last day. But will keep checking because I want this again. The chocolate chip cookie was absolutely amazing, definitely fresh, and tasted perfect. This is definitely going to be on my short list of coffee places to go to. Las Vegas has such a wide and diverse amount of personalized, non chain, coffee places. Why would you go to Starbucks when you could go here? Bottom line? This place is off the charts. I will definitely be coming back here to try some of their breakfast items as well as grab a cup of coffee before heading out on whatever adventure I'm going on. You definitely must check this place out!

Today, my husband and I decided to give this location a try again, but this time we walked in. Like all Mothership locations, this one has a great atmosphere with lots of faux plants, natural light, and vibrant wallpaper. There was a variety of seating options, including a conversational booth which was unique and some patio seating out front. The music was of course on point. There are multiple gender neutral restrooms that were also nicely decorated. Everything was super clean too. This location also offers a drive-thru and has a ton of parking for people wanting to hang out. Baristas were all relatively friendly. We came around 10:30am and were pleasantly surprised to see they had plenty of pastries left for a light breakfast. I ordered their chocolate croissant which was quite delicious, but rather small. I also tried their iced banana matcha latte with oat milk which was topped with cinnamon - this was okay. The banana was super subtle, cinnamon top was incredibly overpowering, and the matcha felt a little watered down. I somewhat enjoyed it, but definitely not the greatest matcha in town. My husband went with a classic nitro cold brew which he said was good and decently strong. For his pastry he went with the blueberry lemon scone. I definitely stole a bite of his scone and it was so good and pretty sizable; made me wish I had ordered that too instead of the small croissant. Although our visit today was much more pleasant than previous ones, Mothership still remains a little hit-or-miss for me. I wouldn't put them in my top 7 coffee shops for Henderson/Vegas, but if I don't feel like driving far, this is a pretty solid option not far from my neighborhood. - Ideally I'd rate this location a 3.5, but I'll round it up to a 4 -

We ended up ordering a Pizza Croissant and Pistachio Banana Bread, which were both delicious! The Pizza Croissant was just the right amount of savory, which contrasted nicely with the nutty and sweet flavor of the Pistachio Banana Bread. We also ordered a classic Ensaymada, which is this fluffy bread with a light cream on top! Get it warmed, and it is SOOOO good to pair with your coffee. As for our drinks, we ordered a Ferrero Latte, a Pistachio Latte, and a Flat White. The Flat White really showcased the quality of their beans, which was only enhanced in the lattes. The Ferrero was silky smooth, and honestly tasted like a melted Ferrero Rocher. The Pistachio was nutty and subtle, which complemented the Ferrero greatly. If you want a taste of that Filipino warmth, definitely stop by Middle Black Sheep! We definitely plan on coming back to try the rest of the menu, and so should you.

I was first turned on to CRCR by good friend and former owner of Bread and Butter Chris Herrin. A few months later while dining at Eat in downtown, I enjoyed that same delicious smooth cuppa joe,(unfortunatey, both B&B and Eat no longer use them) and knowing that they were in Boulder City, I knew one of these days I HAD TO go straight to the source. Pulling up to their storefront, it looks like nothing from the outside but as you enter, the smell of roasting coffee beans hit you like WOW!!! We met Don and Erik Anderson who are responsible for making some of the most delicious coffee you will have ever tasted(if you haven't yet). They were even nice enough to give us a little behind the scenes tour and explain their delicate roasting process using state of the art equipment (infrared heat, not open fire) and even offered tips on how to enjoy their product in the best possible way. We decided to grab a bag of one of Eirk's favorite blends-Bolivia: Amor De Dios, a 12 ounce bag for $10. If you're looking for a specific characteristic, flavor, etc. they have other blends available and Erik will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. If you haven't had a taste of Colorado River Coffee Roasters, places like Grouchy John's, Great Harvest Bread Company, and Sambalatte have their own blends from CRCR that they serve up. You may also purchase coffee from CRCR online which will be delivered right to your doorstep, or better yet, take a drive to Boulder City and go straight to the source and get an even fresher product! Here are some helpful tips that Erik and Don suggested: COFFEE: DO NOT grind the beans fine...a coarse grind is suggested WATER: DO NOT boil your water!... 200 degrees Farenheit... no higher! EQUIPMENT: No fancy equipment/gadgets here- a FRENCH PRESS is their weapon of choice, and how Erik and Don enjoy the fruits of their labor.... DOSAGE: Start with an equal ratio of 1 gram beans to 1 gram water and steep for 4 minutes...if it isn't strong enough, increase the beans to your liking STORAGE: Store beans in a cool, dark place....DO NOT refrigerate or freeze!!! BEST BY: Enjoy within 1 MONTH of purchase Erik and Don have also been chosen as one of the top seeded companies to compete later this year on the National level in Seattle with the best in the country. Best of luck to Erik and Don who have single handedly put Nevada on the coffee map, and forget the big chains....BUY LOCAL!!!! ALOHA!!!
