I also saw some puzzles and games on the floor inside. If you are in the area, you should give this place a try. I found a space and only had about a two-minute walk to Public Works. The space is industrial but cozy, and I love the little community library in the red phone booth. That's such a cute touch and very on-brand for a neighborhood spot. It also turns into a wine bar at night. I ordered the iced matcha honey latte with almond milk. It was good, but definitely on the sweeter side. Almost milkshake-like. (Not frozen, just thicker and sweeter than a traditional matcha). I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for an earthy or classic matcha. The texture was a bit grainy with some settling at the bottom, and I did get a small clump in one sip. Not a big deal, just noticeable. If I had to guess, they use a pre-sweetened matcha powder. They don't advertise having pure or ceremonial matcha, so I'm not too pressed. Just sharing my experience. Service was quick and I got my drink within just a few minutes. There's plenty of indoor seating plus a spacious, dog-friendly patio. The vibe is very social and family-friendly, with lots of conversation, families, and groups. I personally wouldn't come here to study or work, but it seems like a great spot to meet with friends or family, or just a casual coffee run. I'd come back when I'm in the mood for something sweet. I don't like my coffee overly sweet, and Skimos always delivers on that. Even when I tell them to surprise me with a drink of their choice. Usually pretty full in the mornings on the weekends.

They told me they use Olympian beans from Washington and the flavor was good. Not too strong and relatively smooth. The milk in the latte was slightly over textured (more cappuccino than latte) but still tasty and she was able to produce a small amount of latte art which given the shape of the mug wasn't that easy. The staff is friendly and it is a nice place to come and either talk or do some quiet work. Would recommend if you are in the nearby area.

That might be the only off putting thing. Compared to other small coffee shops with the same matcha at 16 oz for roughly $7. I would give the this place a 4.5 if it was an option only because of my last statement.

Mika was the barista and she was so friendly and patient giving us welcomed suggestions. I had the BLTA Bagel with a Cubano Latte (Cinnamon brown sugar), adding a salted cold foam. My other half had the Breakfast Burrito and Hazel Snow (White chocolate hazelnut latte). EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! We were happily impressed. It's strong coffee so for those Vietnamese coffee lover, it's a must. Banana coffee is nice to me. Get it less sweet and it's a perfect sweet satisfying drink. Clean spot with lots of seatings for you to enjoy your drink. Worker was nice and quick to take our order and also made it and it didn't seem as we really waited. Ordered the Hokiyoki with boba and a peach slushie with boba. Drinks came out quickly, faster than I expected, which is nice. Taste? They were perfect ! I have so many drinks I want to try on subsequent return trips to Brew Tea Bar. I'm excited!! Just minutes away from home, this is a dream come true! I bought our drinks to go but I can say that the shop was neat and there were a bunch of customers seated at tables. It wasn't loud in the shop, I could order without yelling And I could see sitting in next time. My only gripe isn't their fault, parking was tight, but I did get a space. The lot was full, but it's a combination of eateries and services, so with both people stay a while. Spaces don't free up quickly. My tip would be to go in between meal times. After the lunch or dinner rush.
