Just as good as their other outposts. Le Cafe Du Sud is the 3rd of four historical locations of the Le Cafe Du Vegas brand, but it's now only the newer of the two still extant cafes. I wanted an excuse to check out Southern Highlands properly and get another Yelp review, and I realized that I had plans not too far away. I can't seem to recall trying their Porchetta ($18.00) before, which is strange since I always like to try that sandwich if it's an option. Although they don't seem to do crispy skin here, they do have tasty pork with some great pops of flavor in the form of spicy peppers, pickled onions, and capers. The fluffy ciabatta did a great job of holding everything together but easily yielding to bites, and arugula is always fun. The included side salad is small but fresh, and the vinaigrette is nice and creamy. The Ham ($17.00) is pretty standard and straightforward. The baguette is a little tougher than the Porchetta, but the sandwich is overall as solid as at their other locations. The lettuce and tomato aren't bad but are out of place if you're comparing this to a traditional French sandwich. I believe the Raspberries & Pistachio Tart ($7.25) was a new taste for me too, and it was a good combo. The crumbly shell, pistachio cream, and actual pistachios went nicely with the lightly tart and sweet raspberries. Complimentary water is available, dispensed from one of those motion-sensor water bottle fillers. It was clean, but not ice-cold like at their other locations. I was happy to see that it was busy here, unlike most of my visits to their now-shuttered Le Cafe Central. The decor also is the nicest of their locations, especially with the nearby outdoor patio just past the open doors giving a very homely feel. The overall design just feels the most congruous too, like they didn't have to expand the dining area or incorporate an oddly out-of-place bar. Le Cafe Du Sud is a good option for French sandwiches and pastries for this part of town, although it's not quite the best in town. Hopefully they do continue to succeed here since that neighborhood would feel much emptier without them.
My all time favorite cafe. All of the food is amazing, decor is very elegant and beautiful. Beautiful patio as well. A good selection of sweet and savory items, but not an overwhelming menu at all. I have not been disappointed with anything I've tried. My staples are the croissant egg sandwich, the strawberry Nutella French toast or crepe with a side of vanilla gelato, and an iced mocha. I have just about tried every pastry as well and I truly recommend them all, but I love the tarts! The quality of the food is high and it all always tastes fresh. Everything in the cafe feels very well thought out. My partner and I look forward to our weekly visits. We wish staff would acknowledge the regulars a bit more, but everyone is always kind nonetheless. Highly recommend this cafe, specifically this location!
The food was good, and the tuna sandwich and cappuccino were both enjoyable. That said, $27 before tip feels a little pricey for a tuna sandwich and a cappuccino. The manager (I'm assuming he was the manager based on how he was dressed) was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. He really stood out and made us feel welcomed. The other employees, however, didn't have quite the same energy. They all seemed like they could've used a cup of coffee themselves. Overall, good food and a nice atmosphere, but I think the price is a little high for what you get.
Most pastries were just ok but priced higher than better places in town. Cinnamon roll, in particular, was unique but not for me; the roll itself had a croissant texture to it while the frosting on top was a tart cream cheese frosting which I was impartial to as opposed to a traditional glaze. Restaurant space itself was very well decorated and staff was friendly, but will prioritize going to other French pastries in town despite their close proximity to me.
I've passed by this establishment a thousand times and kept telling myself "I'll have to try that place" and I finally got around to it. The inside is not what it would seem from the outside. It's the cutest, it feels like I'm in a fancy cafe in Europe and the entire one side is open to a green terrace. I'm so excited to bring my mom and daughter here for a girls' day because they would love it too. I ordered a Pain Au Chocolat (can't go wrong) and a Benedict Smoked Salmon. Both equally scrumptious and I waited less than 5 minutes for my order!
My friend and I showed up thirty minutes before close. They did not rush us, were very patient. Normally we do not do this, but we were from out of town and heard of this French bakery/coffee shop and really wanted to try. It was amazing! A must try and beautiful atmosphere! We tried the almond/chocolate croissant, chocolate twist, pistachio/tiramisu latte, London Fog, hot chocolate, and a plain croissant. Everything was fabulous! Almond/chocolate croissant was so good, I bought another and they threw one in for free!
Le Cafe DS was such a lovely little find! I stopped by for a sandwich and was pleasantly surprised. The bread was perfectly toasted, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the side salad was a nice touch. I also appreciated the little details, including the sauce and seasoning on the side. The food was beautifully packaged to go and still tasted great. The coffee was okay and served on a very tiny cup lol If you're looking for a cozy local spot for a fresh sandwich, or a casual bite, this is worth checking out if close by

The ambiance is elegant and warm. The food is delicious with top notch service. I had the salmon toast and my friend had the avocado toast and both were delicious and when I go back I can't wait to try the other food items.
When you walk into this cafe, everything in the case looks delicious. There's a lot of pastries in the case and you literally would love to say, "One of each please!". But, of course that's just too much! I was really just looking for a snack and coffee on this day. I ordered a regular coffee and a banana nutella crepe. I took a seat at a table with my number and the coffee came out shortly. However, I was disappointed that the coffee (for a cafe) was not even close to being hot. That was a bummer. It was luke warm at best. I brought it back and they made a new one that, when served, was actually steaming. I wished that the initial pour - they would have thought to rebrew since it was clearly not hot. The second cup of coffee was good. The banana nutella crepe came out soon after. Some crepe places put the ingredients inside with drizzle on top. This cafe places all ingredients on top of the crepe. Overall, the taste was good, but my personal preference after trying this one is to have the ingredients inside the crepe. Again - personal preference here! The crepe size is as you would expect - quite large and nicely folded. The banana on top was fresh and the nutella drizzle is always yum.
Such a delightful visit with DELIGHTFUL FOOD! I am always on the lookout for comfortable cafes with dog friendly patios and Le Cafe Du Sud drew us in. The weather, atmosphere, and food were all perfect. For lunch, we enjoyed the Cucumber Sandwich ($15), Turkey Melt ($16), Cinnamon Roll croissant ($5), and Cheese Danish ($4). Everything was flavorful and very filling. Just a heads-up for the Cucumber Sandwich - on the menu it states it comes with pepperoncinis, but when I took my first bite and saw the peppers, I am near certain they were actually pickled jalapeños and were VERY spicy. Not one who handles spice very well, I just removed them from the sandwich and still quite enjoyed it. The Turkey Melt and pastries were AMAZING as well. Service was friendly and efficient and the dog friendly patio was wonderful and comfortable. This cafe offers counter service with your order being delivered to your table. We visited on a Friday just before 1pm and it was not too crowded and very comfortable. A very wonderful first visit and we look forward to returning again and again.
This is such a delightful café in the Southern Highlands area! From my photos, you can tell the restaurant is beautifully put together and a really joyful place to spend time. It's the kind of spot you actually want to linger in. Service is a bit slow -- but in a relaxed, European café kind of way. You order at the counter, and your hot food is brought out to you. I recently learned they've been dealing with some staffing issues, which probably explains the slower pace, but honestly... it's worth the wait. Because WOW!!! -- the food is amazing. Can you tell I'm a fan. LOL The pastries are truly next level, and you'll be hard-pressed to find better anywhere nearby. Do yourself a favor and get the almond croissant. You will not regret it.
We ordered food to go from here on a Monday afternoon and were happy with our order. We had 2 croissant egg sandwiches and shared a sausage roll. The croissants were perfect...nice and crispy on the outside and soft inside. They had a good size egg omelet, a generous portion of ham, swiss cheese, and tomato. The sausage roll had a crispy pastry crust as well and the sausage itself had a nice spicy flavor. The cafe is located on Southern Highlands. We hope to dine in next time and try out their coffee drinks!

I've been wanting to check this place out but since I live on the opposite side of town now, I never really had the chance until today. So glad I finally made the drive! Jesus was the cashier and he was awesome! He was super friendly and took the time to recommend a few things from the menu, which was really helpful since it was my first visit. I ended up trying the short rib sandwich, complete galette, chocolate chip cookie and pistachio beignet. The short rib sandwich was packed with tender, juicy meat, melted cheese and fresh greens on a soft, crusty roll. The complete galette was a nice savory option with ham, cheese and a sunny-side-up egg tucked inside a thin buckwheat crepe. For dessert, I had the chocolate chip cookie and pistachio beignet. The cookie was a nice little chocolatey treat while the beignet was fluffy, dusted with powdered sugar and filled with pistachio cream. Such a good way to finish my meal! The restaurant itself is bright, spacious and clean with plenty of seating. The servers were friendly and attentive and I love that there's outdoor seating as well, especially when the Vegas weather is nice enough to enjoy it! Overall, definitely worth the drive across town! There's still so much on the menu that caught my eye so I'll be making another stop the next time I'm in the area to try something new! read more

I'm obsessed with this place. I feel like I'm In So cal trendy cafe. The vibe is chic/ cozy / glam. I have been 3 days in a row. Service has always been very nice. You walk up to the counter and order then seat yourself; They do bring the food to you after that. I've had the short rib sandwich 8/10. Short rib was tender & flavorful. Love their cafe drinks perfectly sweetened! Best escargots in Vegas are here ! 10/10 Served with an amazing fresh baguette slices. I've had a few different pastries now, there are soooo many selections I haven't had anything that wasn't 12/10 Let's talk about the fact the always have cocktails. I will be brining all my girlfriends here read more

I stopped in the shopping center for a sandwich, but the shop had closed so I came into this Cafe. I wasn't sure what to get. It's a bit fancy for me, but I love eggs Benedict and I saw one with salmon. I don't eat salmon so I asked what other's they had. They have a bacon and brie eggs Benedict so I tried it. It was a bit pricey and it took a little time to get as it was a to go order, but I must say it was AMAZING. Truly cooked to perfection. Very mild but still great flavor. They also do great crêpes I highly recommend this as at least a place to try on a nice weekend morning. They have a beautiful sitting area outside. read more
Such a cute store, bright and elegant with a lot of yummy looking food. The bread for my chicken sandwich was so tasty, however, just a little chicken in the sandwich. The smoked salmon is gigantic and is very filling that includes boiled, egg and avocado. I think it's a better value. Did I say the store is really pleasant and cute? We really enjoy our time here. They also have outdoor seating to soak in the Sun. Definitely recommend here. The service is really nice too. read more

I've been here last time we were in the area for just coffee. This time we had breakfast and it was as good as it looked. I love the aesthetic of the place. Very clean and elegant. Beautiful cafe. As you walk up to the line, you get to see all the beautiful pastries lined up. I ordered the prosciutto Brie baguette and cookie butter latte. Mom ordered egg croissant. Everything tasted fresh with clean ingredients. The coffee tasted good as I remembered. Will be back again next time I'm visiting Vegas! read more
Food is made fresh daily and super tasty ! Fun summer vibes with a touch of class with a combined indoor and outdoor eating. Service is always nice with a friendly attitude. Such a cute cafe with plenty of parking and a mix in indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of beautiful pastries - man, I wish I took pics of them! I was too focused on ordering the tuna melt that everyone is raving about in the reviews. I gotta say it's totally worth the hype... just the right amount of tuna and flavor with a buttery and crispy yet moist bread. A+ I also ordered an iced London Fog tea latte, which was exactly what I expected. Subtly sweet and tasty... and the pyramid tea bag from Tea Forte is adorable. I would 100% come back for this exact meal! read more

Order at the line first, they give you silverwear after your order for you to bring to your table with you, and they deliver food to your table for you. A bit of a line but goes relatively quick if you know what you want. Great service. You order at the counter and they'll bring it to your table. Music in the background with lots of people talking. Not overly loud but loud nonetheless. Crepe was great and a must try. If you're in Vegas save a little cash and stop at this place for some great food and coffee on your way back home. read more

Every single pastry looks absolutely delightful and the things that I have tried like the Greek salad with tuna, avocado, toast, various lattes, and their hibiscus peach tea are all extraordinary! beautiful spot in the neighborhood with a huge menu, lots of pastries, and good drinks. i have been here a few times and always get great service with reliably great food. the space has lots of lighting and seating and is kept very clean. i got the tuna melt for the first time since someone said it was great, and id definitely cosign on that claim!!! the iced mocha is great as well. their crepe is huge and shareable, i love bringing loved ones here to try new things! read more
Beautiful space with nice outside patio seating. Service was friendly. We did to-go for our pastries, which came in a nice box. Tried their chocolate croissant, which had a nice soft flakey texture. The chocolate almond croissant had good flavor but not my favorite in town. We also tried the cinnamon roll, which we weren't too big of fans of. The cream cheese frosting was a bit too tart & the dough itself was more like a croissant, which isn't bad but they probably should advertise it as such since it's not quite a traditional one. There are places you try once... and then there are places that feel like they've been waiting for you. This little French café tucked just before the Las Vegas strip is exactly that kind of place. The kind you stumble into and suddenly forget what city you're even in. One step inside and it's all soft light, chandeliers, warm pastries, and that quiet, romantic hum that makes everything feel slower--in the best way. The coffee? Unreal. Whether it's a simple black coffee or an iced latte, it somehow tastes richer, smoother... like it was meant to be savored, not rushed. And the bakery--honestly, it's almost overwhelming in the best way. Every pastry looks like it belongs behind glass in Paris, and somehow tastes even better than it looks. I ordered their Barada sandwich and I'm still thinking about it. One of those "take a bite and pause" kind of meals. Everything here feels intentional, from the flavors to the presentation. But what really stays with you is the people. The staff is beyond kind--genuinely warm, attentive in a way that feels rare. They even went out of their way to track me down when I forgot part of my order, which somehow made the whole experience even more memorable. It's not just a café--it's a moment. A little escape. Absolutely loved this French cafe such a great spot to relax and enjoy quality food and coffee The smoked salmon toast was outstanding fresh flavorful and perfectly balanced you can really taste the quality The cappuccino was smooth and well crafted exactly what you want from a true cafe experience I also tried the croissant egg sandwich and it was delicious buttery flaky and satisfying And if you have a sweet tooth the Nutella and strawberry crepes were incredible light perfectly cooked and generously filled The owner was friendly and kind and made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in Great atmosphere friendly service and everything felt made with care definitely a place I will keep coming back to. Le Cafe Du Sud is a elegant and quaint café located in the Fire Station Plaza. They have ample parking available. Outdoor patio seating as well as, indoor air-conditioned seating. The menu is extensive and ever-changing. The decor is grand. The service was very welcoming and friendly! *Plain Croissant (4/5). Buttery and soft in the middle, slight crunch on the outside. It was good. Though, not the best I've had. *Lobster Galette (gf buckwheat): Lobster, gruyere, arugula, citrus sauce. I was expecting something completely different, so that is my mistake. It was tasty, tiny lobster meat throughout. I ordered a Cafe Au Lait and my wife ordered a Mocha. Both were decent. Support your local business. read more
Lovely cafe with nice patio. Food and service were good. We ordered 2 galettes, a lobster salad, and a London fog. The galettes were a bit overdone and crunchy. We prefer a softer crepe but the ingredients and flavors were good. Lobster salad was fresh and tasty, although be warned, the lobster is finely chopped and shredded, almost has the texture of crab. My London Fog latte was perfect. They are out of escargot and haven't gotten a shipment from their purveyors what seems like awhile. read more

I was craving a good tuna melt so we came here. My boyfriend got the lobster roll and a Portuguese egg tart. We surprisingly really enjoy the egg tart. Very lovely French décor Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch Indoor and outdoor seating. Pets Welcome Ample Parking Free Wi-Fi Gender-Neutral Restrooms Pastries, Croissants and tasty treats, both savory and sweet. Good service and timely The interior and exterior: clean, and the cushion covered bench I sat on was comfortable. Lobster rolls on toasted Brioche buns. If you want soft buttery Brioche buns not toasted, you need to let them know, but I enjoyed the crunch with the well balanced filling which is reminiscent of a tuna mixture but with lobster. I also had a Custard filled, Blueberry and Strawberry topped tart. It was a perfect ending as it was not too sweet, nor was it covered with a glaze that so many try to embellish with these tarts, but fail to master, and it just didn't need it. Great coffee! Smooth, not bitter or acidic. I am somewhat lactose intolerant so they added in Almond milk instead to my Cafë Latte. My friend had the Caprese Sandwich which came with a salad and drank a hot Matcha. She also concurred that her meal was equally delicious. read more

I've been in this spot a few times since I have a friend who lives around the corner, and I've definitely become a fan. While I've mainly only enjoyed the sweet stuff so far, they've got some absolutely amazing stuff. Even the atmosphere in the place scores major points. It's finely decorated, with French language music (of widely varying genres) playing over the speakers. During my last visit I saw people of all ages here, from infants to the elderly, so clearly they know how to attract a clientele with the ideal look and sound. The staff are always friendly and have a good sense of humor. There are even exterior patio tables for those days when weather is ideal. The food items I have had so far, mainly crepes and French toast, have been among the best of their kind I've ever eaten. With so many options for each, I know I'll be busy for a while. There's even a rewards system where you can earn points with each visit and earn free food items and meals. I have yet to try the more savory/lunch type food here, but the breakfast and the sweets get an easy five stars. Don't overlook this spot; they even have two other locations so odds are good one is fairly close to you! read more
