I've been here many times, and it really feels like the standards are slipping. Despite having a reservation, we faced a huge line to check in, followed by another long wait while plenty of tables sat empty. My Bloody Mary took more than 20 minutes to arrive and was missing the celery. The crab cake Benedict had barely any crab, and the side of bacon was burnt to ash. I wanted to send it back, but our waiter was nowhere to be found. After eating the few bits that weren't completely charred, I finally caught him and asked for one replacement slice. He brought three--all equally burnt. I would have liked a cappuccino after brunch, but the bill was simply dropped on the table without so much as, "Can I get you anything else?" For a restaurant with this reputation--and these prices--the food and service should be much better. Made reservations for a 5:45pm dinner and we were seated quickly upon arrival. At around 6pm, noticed a line started to form and the restaurant started filling up shortly after. First off, service was excellent. Can't remember our waiter's name but he was very attentive, provided recommendations, and checked in with us often. We started with soups. Hubs went with Onion Soup au Gratin which was filled with onions and cheese and the broth was very rich; he enjoyed it. I went with the seasonal corn soup that was topped with crab meat. The soup was velvety and so good. Next, the Frisee Lyonnaise salad - appreciated that they split the salad for us since we were sharing. The Frisee Lyonnaise is probably one of my most fave salads and this one was good. We then shared the 22oz ribeye with frites. Unfortunately, the frites weren't our favorite - it was room temperature and not crispy. The ribeye, however, was well seasoned, tender, and cooked to the perfect medium. Finally, even though we were full, hubs had to try the chocolate mousse. Although a bit pricey, it was a good way to end our meal - light and not too sweet. We also each ordered coffee to go with the mousse, but were disappointed with the coffee as it just tasted watered down and lacked flavor. The server was great but it did take a while for her to take our order or even bring out the drinks we ordered and yes I know it was the dinner hour and very busy so it was expected. The warm baguette was good but a little hard and very hard to cut/serve to everyone. The butter wasn't my favorite, I like a more richer butter. The crispy shrimp salad was not what I expected and it was not a salad. I really thought it was a full salad with shrimp on top. It was delicious! But it just was not a full meal. Perfect dinner in a perfect setting. We walked by and saw a table being cleared and asked if we could have it. The waiter told us to check in and ask for 257. We did, and they had already seated that table they gave us one that had the same view...the strip and the fountains at the Bellagio. We ordered a bottle of wine and a cheese, fruit and meat tray. I have been wanting to go to Mon Ami Gabi since before Covid. Tried to do it a few years ago with my friend, but no luck. Finally made it back in late Spring. I arrived early on a weekday, and they were able to seat me outdoors on the patio facing the Strip. The weather still was not super hot yet, so it was perfect. I ordered a cappuccino and a crepe (I think I literally ordered this exact thing in Paris a couple years ago ha). It was a perfect spot for people watching. As others have mentioned, there is some street smells, but they were not overpowering. The patio is in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower of the hotel, so it makes for some unique views. Dinner was great. We had a reservation, so we got seated right away. We wanted outside but it was full. We were seated inside in the mid section just on the other side of the wall of the bar room. It was great and not as noisy as patio seating. Our server, Chris G came by to greet us and chat about the evening's specials. We each ordered a French Onion Soup. Wow - really good. Up front, it had a bit of a sweet flavor. Perhaps sweet onions being used. The sweetness disappeared and gave way to a rich broth. There was no shortage of onions or cheese in this soup. I'd count this among my top 5 French Onion Soups. For dinner, we shared a Steak Au Poivre. We went with the less expensive marinated sirloin version as it was about $18 less than the filet version. The sirloin version is pounded to about 1/4" thick, then marinated. We asked for it medium rare and I wasn't expecting it to come out that way as cooking a super thin steak to MR is difficult. But it came out perfect! The flavor was great and there was only a small amount of gristle in a couple of bites. This was the perfect value move. We really enjoyed our server, Chris. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. At dinner, we made the decision to return for breakfast in 2 days time. And that day is today (separate review). Amazing breakfast. With all the big Vegas dinners, I was avoiding breakfast generally but decided to stop at Mon Ami Gabi my last morning before flying out. So glad I did, it was fantastic. I had the buckwheat ham and cheese crepe, was not sure what to expect but it was fantastic. It was ham and cheese wrapped in a dark crepe (maybe I should have expected that) served flat, so it was much lighter than a sandwich or pancakes. Plentiful ham and cheese, all the flavors came together well. The bacon that was included was also tremendous, thick, flavorful, perfectly cooked. Everything at dinner was splendid from beginning to end. We had Ireland as our waitress. Our reservation was at 6pm, she asked if we had any plans after dinner. We mentioned a show. She later came over not to rush us. But to make sure that we were still on schedule. She was very time conscious, but also didn't rush us. She checked on us just enough. We started with the baguette, pate, and beef tartare. All we're splendid. The tartare was beef forward tasting. The restaurant was out of our way, and given its high volume of positive reviews, we expected an experience that matched the reputation. Unfortunately, that was far from the case. The food did not reflect the price point. It felt like we were paying more for the view of the Bellagio fountains than for the quality of the meal itself. This was a breakfast visit, and the crab cake Benedict was disappointing -- rather than an actual crab cake, it was more of a thin crab spread over the muffin. The poached eggs were also slightly overcooked, and the hollandaise sauce was thick and served nearly cold. The steak and eggs had similar issues. The hash browns arrived hot and crisp, but the steak was only warm, and the toast wasn't hot either. The eggs were ordered over easy but came out over medium. On the plus side, the jam preserves were excellent, and the whipped butter was outstanding. Across both dishes, the inconsistency in temperature was the clearest problem -- some items hot and fresh, others lukewarm -- which points to a kitchen timing and execution issue that needs attention. On a positive note, our waiter, Antone, was excellent -- friendly, attentive, and a genuine highlight of the visit. The restaurant's decor is also striking, with high ceilings and bold Parisian-inspired architecture that creates a beautiful setting. While in town this last week, we visited twice - once for breakfast with Trish as our server and for lunch with a lovely gentleman whose name escapes me. The breakfast was, as expected, phenomenal. We shared the fresh fruit crepes and their special glazed bacon. We still couldn't finish all of our breakfast even with splitting it. The service was even better - Trish is overall amazing and a great plus for the establishment. The lunch we had consisted of the grilled artichokes, the crunchy shrimp salad, and a half Caesar salad. We had lunch here today 7 of us. we had reservations and once we sat down took our waiter 30mintws to come to us to ask our order. We had to move tables because they put us in a tight table in a corner. Them moved is to a large table In a pathway between rooms that was highly trafficked. Staff kept bumping into my chair and the didn't apologies. The food was mediocre at best (steak dip sandwich was the only good thing). The pasta seafood was not fresh and the seafood crepe had good shrimp but the crepes had lentils inside and the crepes also tastes reheated. Nothing tasted fresh nor unique. Wine selection wasn't great and to top it off our waiter paul seems bothered by everything we requested. Climate control isn't good. It went from cool to freezing to vapor hot climate want regulated. This is my favorite spot in Vegas! I really wish we had this restaurant back home. I ask to be seated in the area between inside and on the patio, and it's always really lovely there. Airy and not too hot even in the summer, with great lighting. The service is also fantastic here. We ate here twice during our last trip. We had the French toast, crepe du jour (bananas foster), and the corned beef hash (x2). The open face crepe is SO so good, but it's huge, so the sweetness started getting to me after a while. I still highly recommend it though for a sweet tooth! The bananas foster flavor was amazing. The corned beef hash might be my favorite, though, and it's crazy because I've never liked corned beef hash anywhere else! And although I didn't have room in my stomach for it this time, I LOVE their candied bacon. I find that Mon Ami Gabi is not "overrated" at all. It delivers exactly what it promises. Vegas luxury at affordable prices inside arguably one of the nicest casinos on the strip. The crispy shrimp salad was a spectacular start, and I would recommend the dish with or without the pre fixe menu. The sauces were scrumptious. The burger was the shining star. Perfectly cooked, and the melted Brie added some unctuous creaminess. The ingredients are truly high quality. Unfortunately, the steak sandwich was a bit of a miss. The steak was not very well cooked, their was a lot of bread and not much meat, and the au jus was pretty flavorless. At least the gorgeous desserts made up for it. The tarte au citron was magnificent and oh so beautifully plated, and the chocolate mousse was a great end to a decadent meal. I definitely need to visit again to try the famous steak and frites. If history is any indication, it's difficult to maintain a level of superior service, food Quality, and guest service with the passage of time - but Mon Ami Gabi is still bucking the trend. We've probably visited 10 or more times over the years and we've always had a great experience. This week we were delighted to have Brian as our server. Brian was engaging, friendly, and he even let me place an order off of the brunch menu a few minutes early. I was also very placed with the quality of the decaffeinated coffee. This is an item that most restaurants don't do very well, but here it is delightful. The ambience of the room remains unparalleled, and of course the views are spectacular. There's also no restroom inside the restaurant, which honestly wouldn't be the biggest issue on its own, but it's a surprisingly far walk. That would be easier to overlook if the food itself made the experience worthwhile. I ordered the French toast and unfortunately it just didn't leave much of an impression. I was expecting something a little more memorable, but overall the food felt pretty average and nothing really stood out enough to make me want to come back. The deviled eggs were incredible, especially with the herb sauce underneath--we couldn't get enough of it. Beware of the bread and butter. Located inside Paris casino hotel, they take reservations and walk ins. Even though reservations are recommended, I was a walk-in. I was greeted by the hostess as I walked through the door and seated immediately. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. I opted for outdoor seating and so glad I did. I strongly recommend you ask to be seated in her section. She goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort and that you are satisfied with your food and service. Beautiful summer fresh salads or a cold soup for first course, French dip, burger or another salad for the second course. I was surprised to find out you can request half-portion of most entrees, you can appreciate the half portion is still quite generous. I also ordered a cappuccino, it was just okay. Mon Ami Gabi - Not good fries - French Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

My friend and I were in Vegas looking for a good lunch spot and after browsing a couple of forums we found many recommendations for Mon Ami Gabi. Much to our delight they were also running a summer lunch promotion so we were a key to get 3 courses for one low price so we made a reservation for the following day. We walked in and were promptly sat outside and had a great view of the Bellagio fountain. We told the waitress we wanted to order the summer lunch special and she seemed visibly annoyed and even rolled her eyes and said ok and walked away. She didn't bother taking our order and came back after we asked another waiter where she went and that we were ready to order. We both ordered the same meal of a steak sandwich with fries and a chocolate mouse for dessert. The food was very tasty and the accompanying sauce to the sandwich was a perfect accompaniment and the fries were definitely made fresh. However, before we were both even done with our main course our dessert was brought out along with the check and we hadn't even been there for 30 minutes. It seems she was pushing us to leave and it made us very uncomfortable and feel unwanted. We even left a generous tip on her card machine when she walked by because we needed to split checks and she barely said two words to us not even a thank you or wishing us a good trip. While I might come back for the food and views I would hope I get much better service in the future! read more
