    Breakfast burrito

Had late breakfast/ lunch with friends at Black Mountain Griddle. It's located in the spot that used to be occupied by Il Chianti restaurant on Horizon Ridge. We went on a Friday, it was not busy at all. The food was good. The service was friendly. Quick for the most part. Ambiance: clean airy diner. I would go back if looking for a quick uncomplicated meal. They do serve dinner a couple of days a week also. The waitress said that the are serving some of chef Rudy's (Il Chianti) pasta dishes which he trained them on before they opened.

Came back here for the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich, it's been living rent free in my head. This spot is great for brunch, amazing service and it's always clean! My husband got the banana foster waffle, I took a bite of that and it was super yummy! My daughter got the Mac n cheese (obviously had to taste test that as well) and when I say this is probably the best Mac n cheese I've ever had, I'm not exaggerating. I recommend this place to everyone for a brunch spot

Steak egg tacos over cooked steak

We ordered steak and egg tacos. What we received was maybe two very small pieces of chopped steak and a bunch of over cooked eggs. It was supposed to have peppers in them one of them did the others not so much. We asked if they could bring more steak, and they did some over cooked pieces. We asked for the check, and I asked why I was paying for this meal and was told they have to call the manager to come in he's not present in the store. I couldn't wait so left while paying for sub par food. And I can't for get the over 5 dollar lemonade. Refillable lol

Nice and clean when you walk in, we were greeted immediately by friendly staff and seated promptly. After a few minutes our server came with water, took our drink order and took our food order. She warned us that "the kitchen is dealing with quite a few orders" and to expect a wait. Odd but ok. We waited 35 minutes for our food to hit the table and we had to ask a different server where it was to receive it because our server was hiding in the kitchen. This would be understandable in a larger restaurant but this is a diner in a strip mall. When it did arrive, my order was partially wrong (I ordered eggs over easy and they arrived scrambled). Our server took away my entire plate to fix the eggs and I got to sit without food while they fixed it. The portions were very small, everything lacked seasoning, our server kinda left us for dead, and everything costs the same as any other restaurant. A gentleman did come apologize and comp half of our meal cost, so that's nice, but this being our first experience here, honestly means it'll likely be our last.

This place has so much more to it than expected when you visit! We heard about the food and decided to try them out since we are so close. So glad we did! First, our waiter was the friendliest! She took her time answering our questions and helping us to decide on what to choose. The Eggs Benedict was so good! My honey loved his hamburger as well. We will be coming back to try other items from the menu.

Great service, nice and quiet ( atleast when we were there on a weekday between10:00 am and 11: 00) . Waitress acknowledged us right away, which is great. We had Black Mountain Breakfast ( your traditional breakfast) Eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, breakfast potatoes and choice of toast. Tasted great. The ambience was nice and relaxing. Definitely happy with the service we received. The food was very good. Definitely a good place to go for Breakfast, lunch and Dinner! Go out, have a great meal!

This place is so cute and the staff are very sweet. The breakfast burrito was super flavorful 10/10. The stuffed French toast with banana and Nutella was the perfect breakfast choice to split among the table 10/10.

Great service. Waitress was new but very friendly and helpful. My chicken and waffles was delicious. They described the chicken as chicken tenders but it was more like chicken breast pieces Mel got the skillet.

Had the pleasure of stumbling upon this place while searching for a breakfast spot to kill some time. Keilani was my server and she was beyond helpful. Love the old school black and white photos hanging in the hallway on the way to the restroom. My avocado toast and side of bacon was both tasty and nice to look at: because we all know we eat with our eyes first. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

A group of 6 of us went to Black Mountain Griddle today for the first time. We met the owner who was very friendly and told us about the restaurant. I ordered the avocado, bacon eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was amazing.

Right off the bat! SERVICE with a SMILE! I'm stoked to have this local breakfast spot in our neighborhood. The food was made with love and energy, the staff was friendly and Steffen the Owner is right there to make sure everything is great! Having a quality oriented location that actually serves APPLEWOOD SMOKED BACON . That warms my heart, the breakfast burrito was the first item i ordered here and it was, jsut right for the price, it was extremely filling, and it came with salsa verde... mind you i walked in at 255 PM and i wasn't sure if i was going to be served. Not only did the burrito fill me.... It made me come back with my wife today! The ambiance is sooooo needed in black mountain!! Come by and try something new every time! They have lots of different events, such as paint and sip evening coming up on December 6! On Wednesdays, the wings are 10% off between 11 and 3 PM and the house sauce is absolutely amazing. If you're here early bird, between 7 and 9 AM you'll get 15% off, which I highly recommend. See you there soon!!

The berry "cobbler" is SO DAMN delicious, but it's not much of a cobbler in my opinion. More like biscuits and berries...but also a must order. The food overall was bland and lacked seasoning, and to make matters worse, they had run out of eggs. The service was subpar and didn't make up for the disappointing meal. Unfortunately, this was not a good dining experience, and I won't be returning. The ambiance was disappointing. The restaurant is very dark, with worn concrete floors that make the space feel dated rather than inviting. The bench seating is especially uncomfortable and quickly starts to hurt your back, so I'd avoid sitting there if you can. It also seemed like the bar received much better service and attention than the dining room, which made the overall experience feel neglected

So yeah first time and we stated this to our server Naveah. We sat close to the bar. We were approached and ordered drinks. Brunch basics. I said I understand this is the home of the Championship Bloody Mary (2025 Hammers Bar Contest) yes it is. I ordered it and well it was pretty basic, not bad, not spectacular but that's okay! We ordered an app, Coma Rolls, took a while to come out and we expected to get entrees at the same time, nope app came first-good. But it came minus the Turkey Gravy. When we got the servers attention and asked she went to the kitchen and returned to tell us the chef said that it wasn't ready yet and would take another 20 min.?? Did we want White Gravy? No fine food comes out looking great. My Salmon Salad, when she proudly stated it was Sushi Grade Salmon I was sold was really overdone The remainder of the salad was very enjoyable. My wife asked for a Club Lightly Toasted- no problem. It was Super Toasted and hard to eat for her. Also the menu said House Smoked Turkey, sorry but this is sliced Deli Turkey from a supplier. The Strawberry smash was really hard to drink due to the chunks of muddled strawberry in the bottom of the glass and the slim straw. Would have been better made from fresh purée and a bigger straw. So you are probably thinking I am being picky. Well perhaps but when you go out a place really needs to make your visits memorable in order to get you to come back. Not saying we won't but... No Wow Factor!

Located in a small little shopping center, this place is definitely tucked away but super easy to find. When you open the door, the first thing you are greeted with is the pastry rack in front of you. I swear, I gained 10 lb. Just looking at it. So many amazing things to look at and see absolutely wonderful. Another thing I have to brag about is how friendly everyone is there. You walk in the door and you are greeted literally by everyone. Really makes you feel at home and invited in to experience everything that they have. I opted for the tiramisu latte, and it was fantastic! Definitely had a perfect coffee flavor, and the terramisu flavoring was not overly sweet but actually was perfect. I had the bacon breakfast croissant with egg and it was wonderful. Perfectly balanced, the flavors were there, and the bacon was excellent! This is definitely one we are going to add for our go-to breakfast places when in Vegas. Super excited to try everything on the menu! Bottom line? If you have not gone to horizon shine, you are missing out. Top of your must-go places and I swear you will not be disappointed! You will probably see me there again! If so, feel free to buy me a pastry.

After about 40 minutes, I went up to ask how much longer it would take. Before I could even finish my question, Keysha interrupted me and said she was working on it. I was frustrated at that point and told her, "Ma'am, please don't interrupt me while I'm asking you a question." About 10 minutes later, Keysha personally brought our food all the way to us at the front door, which I did not see her do with anyone else. We thanked them for the food. Instead of simply handing it to us and letting us leave, she started going off on me. She told me, "We're a small business. Don't order 6 sandwiches if you have somewhere to be." She continued raising her voice at me and telling me not to cut her off while she barely allowed me to speak. It felt like she specifically came to the front to continue the confrontation rather than just give us our food. I understand being a small business. I understand being busy. But 50 minutes for 6 sandwiches is a long wait, and asking for an update after 40 minutes is reasonable. What was completely unacceptable was an employee following the interaction to the front of the restaurant just to continue arguing with a customer. The wait wasn't what earned the 1-star review. It was the way Keysha chose to handle the situation. Completely unprofessional and unnecessarily disrespectful.
