The sign says "everybody deserves a second chance" well I don't know. In the restaurant biz you really gotta put out that Wow factor on the first visit to get people to come back... So yeah first time and we stated this to our server Naveah. We sat close to the bar. We were approached and ordered drinks. Brunch basics. I said I understand this is the home of the Championship Bloody Mary (2025 Hammers Bar Contest) yes it is. I ordered it and well it was pretty basic, not bad, not spectacular but that's okay! We ordered an app, Coma Rolls, took a while to come out and we expected to get entrees at the same time, nope app came first-good. But it came minus the Turkey Gravy. When we got the servers attention and asked she went to the kitchen and returned to tell us the chef said that it wasn't ready yet and would take another 20 min.?? Did we want White Gravy? No fine food comes out looking great. My Salmon Salad, when she proudly stated it was Sushi Grade Salmon I was sold was really overdone The remainder of the salad was very enjoyable. My wife asked for a Club Lightly Toasted- no problem. It was Super Toasted and hard to eat for her. Also the menu said House Smoked Turkey, sorry but this is sliced Deli Turkey from a supplier. The Strawberry smash was really hard to drink due to the chunks of muddled strawberry in the bottom of the glass and the slim straw. Would have been better made from fresh purée and a bigger straw. So you are probably thinking I am being picky. Well perhaps but when you go out a place really needs to make your visits memorable in order to get you to come back. Not saying we won't but... Well, I don't drink at all.... BUT a friend and I stopped here for a quick lunch . The vibe here screamed "friendly neighborhood restaurant". The menu had quite a few different options including some specials. The service was quick, and personable (Brownie points!) The Philly cheese steak eggrolls with some creamy "A-1" sauce was uncommon and savory. In a good way. The Burger i had.......OMG it was tasty and i enjoyed every bite. Burgers are everywhere in this town, but it's hard to find one that's genuinely...good. I saw that they did have a happy hour that looked pretty decent. I'll just start out by saying that this was the first time my wife and I have eaten here. But certainly not the last. We live just down the street and decided to try this out. The greeting as we walked in was very casual but we didn't go unnoticed. One of the bartenders acknowledged us and said just go ahead and sit wherever you want. We picked a booth so we could watch the multiple TV's, FIFA World Cup. We got seated and then greeted by our waitress, Alyssa. I have to say in full disclosure that I looked at previous reviews and looked at the menu. So I already had a good idea of what I wanted to try. I selected the steak salad and my wife wanted the salmon salad. Alyssa asked how I wanted my ribeye steak and of course it has to be medium rare. OMG, when the food arrived, it looked amazing. And I'll say right now that I'm sorry that I didn't take a pic prior to digging in. I had to try my wife's dish. I've had a lot of salmon and cooked it a lot. But this one was so good and so moist. Not dry and flaky at all. And my steak was cooked to perfection. Like my wife told me, "I've never seen you eat that much salad, ever" We both finished our meals. We didn't want anything heavy, but we wanted to get our fill and get our money's worth. We got both. And as a bonus, Alyssa was always checking on us. Very attentive and we never felt forgotten. And she had multiple tables. It didn't look like an overly busy night, but it was definitely a good sized crowd. The music was ok, not my taste but was not terrible. The vibe was really good. Went for the first time last night. What a wonderful experience. Met Jimmy, one of the owners who greeted us so warmly that we knew we were in for great time. When we said it was our first visit here Jimmy took time to give us the history of Second Chances. He walked us through the menu, his pride in their scratch cooking came through as well. We had drinks first, never feeling rushed. We both ordered burgers, one with fries, one with tater tots. As Jimmy checked on us we learned more and more about Second Chances. All in all, great drinks, great food, terrific service and enough TVs to see any sporting event being televised. What's not to rave about this place ? The atmosphere is wonderful. The bartenders and staff are extremely personable and make you feel like you are home, whether you sit at the bar or in the dining room. It's a great 'Cheers' atmosphere where you get to know your regulars and staff. You become part of the family. I have had the pleasure to meet the owners of the Tavern and they are wonderful. They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. They support the community, and just completed a school drive that was for schools supplies for the upcoming year. The food and menu is a chef driven collaboration of outstanding flavors and ideas. Daily and weekly specials are outstanding. From what this place was before, to what it has turned out to be now, is tremendous and outstanding. It's a place my wife and I bring our friends to and enjoy everyone's company, beverages and a huge assortment of menu options to please almost anyone from simple burgers salads and steaks to creative pasta dishes and specials. If you haven't gone there yet, you are missing out! Trust me, from someone who has been in the food and beverage industry for over 30 years, this place has done it right! Heard good things about saw the amazing pancake choices so came to check it out. However we didn't end up with pancakes at all. Guess we will have to try again. Very clean restaurant. Amazing huge windows looking down into Vegas. Friendly staff. Mariah was our sever and she was awesome! Gave me a great recommendation for my wings and they were great! The mister had a smash burger. Yummy! We met the owner Justin he is running a great place. He checked on us a few times as well. Just enough that it wasn't too much. Always a nice touch when an owner is there and approachable. We walked in and sat ourselves, waitress came right over and greeted us. We ordered and the food came pretty quick, presentation was awesome. This was honestly a concerning experience. I ate here recently and experienced severe vomiting and diarrhea shortly after. Another person who ate the same meal later had the same symptoms. When I called to inform them, the response felt very dismissive rather than taking the situation seriously. I understand things can happen, but food safety and customer care should be a priority. We love this place but, I have to only give it 3 stars because for the second time ordering their "jumbo wings", the wings were anything but jumbo. In fact, they were very very small wings. The reason I ordered them a second time is because again, we love this place, and perhaps the first time was hopefully a one off. To no avail, those wings were NOT jumbo at all. I'll continue to patronize that place. I'll just have to be a bit more cautious when ordering the wings. read more

Several weeks back, I did a delivery order of two Smash Burgers and fries. They didn't do well in transit and got soggy from the steam, but the flavor was good! So I decided we needed to go TO them this time and have two Smash Burgers and fries fresh off the grill and on a plate. All I can say is WOW!!! The best burger my husband and I ever had!! And even though I like to dip my fries in ketchup, these fries were so good that I didn't want to taint them with it! Our server was super friendly and attentive, too. I asked her about the bone-in filet they offer and she raved about it, so we'll definitely be coming back more often to try that and more of those Smash Burgers! We went there a week after opening. Beautiful space! We started with the brisket fries, delicious! Generous porion. I had the cheeseburger with tots (tots are the best choice!).
