Disappointing Experience…read more We visited PT's on Friday around 1:00 PM, and Kerri was our bartender. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. At first, I thought perhaps she was simply having a difficult day, but I noticed a very clear difference in the way she interacted with us compared to the gentlemen sitting on the other side of the bar. She was warm, friendly, and engaging with them, but whenever she came over to us, her demeanor became noticeably serious and distant. She wasn't very talkative or welcoming, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Our order was also incorrect, but we chose not to say anything because she already seemed unhappy to be serving us, and we didn't want to create an uncomfortable situation. My husband and I rarely get the opportunity to go out together, so when we do, we simply want to enjoy a nice lunch and have a pleasant experience. Another detail that stood out to me was when other customers were leaving, she acknowledged them and said goodbye. When we were leaving, she looked in our direction but never said goodbye or acknowledged us. On its own, that may seem minor, but combined with the rest of the interaction, it left us feeling as though we were being treated differently. I also have a video recording of part of our interaction that reflects the way she spoke to us. I'm choosing not to post it because, honestly, I don't feel it would reflect well on the business. I would rather give management the opportunity to address the situation privately and professionally. The service was honestly the bare minimum, and I initially didn't feel that a tip was warranted. However, we still chose to leave over a 20% tip between the cash we left and the amount added to the bill. We live just down the street, so it's unfortunate that this experience has made us hesitant to return. We also own a business ourselves, and we understand that everyone has difficult days. However, we would never want someone paying for a service to feel unwelcome or as though they were being treated differently. I hope management takes this feedback constructively. A little kindness, professionalism, and consistency in customer service can make a big difference in a customer's experience.

I WANT to love this place. It is so close to being fantastic…read more I have eaten here about 10 - 15 times over the last year and a half. The Burger should be great. The meat is fantastic, the bun is excellent, but I'm just not a special sauce kind of person. All they need to do to make their burger really awesome is to carry some BBQ sauce. That's it. This entire establishment does not contain any form of BBQ sauce. Don't get me wrong, I am not somebody who would ever put it on a good steak! But burgers, wings, fries, this place offers a number of things that could be elevated by keeping a few bottles of BBQ in the fridge. Just give me the option, you don't even need to list it on the menu. I used to love the beef stroganoff that they had for a while, but I guess it must not have been popular because they got rid of it. It seems that in it's place they started offering a Shepards pie. I was excited about this meal until it arrived and the potatoes were filled with cheese. A Shepards pie does not traditionally have any cheese. So it is probably a good idea for the menu to mention that it is in there. In any case, I tried to order it sans the cheese but I guess it is pre mixed into the mash or something. They cant make it with no cheese. :( Lastly, and most depressingly, they took the shrimp appetizer off of the happy hour menu! This was a real kick-in-the-dick for me. I have probably came to BLVD Grille at least 10 times in the last year specifically because the happy hour $5 shrimp appetizer was so outstanding. I am genuinely depressed that they took it off the happy hour menu. I haven't tried the steaks yet, I want to, but most days, I'm just looking for some shrimp, a side of fries and a drink. I haven't given up on this place yet, but I feel like I'm losing my favorite menu items one by one.

We stopped in here because...why not? A place we hadn't been yet. There was absolutely nothing…read morespecial about this old place whatsoever....or so we thought. The day shift bartender- i think her name was Michelle, was a rockstar. She was inviting, fun to be around and truly defined the word hospitable. She's probably the only good thing they have going on there. Cant comment on the food, because they don't have any The very few people that were in there seem to like her as well, and they left shortly before her shift ended. All this flipped when a guy named Dan walked in. Dan, who "runs" this joint evidently recognized me because I wrote a negative review 5 years prior for another bar he worked at. Dan confronted me on this then kicked my wife and i out because of it. Hey thats fine... Your place you don't have to have anyone you don't like there.... Although we thought it was weird and petty, we went somewhere else. Dan, similar to last time, decides to send some interesting messages to me on Yelp. Again fine, weird but fine. I'm not a regular there. I don't live by that bar, so it's not like i'm going to be overly concerned about being asked to leave a place with nothing going on for it. Seems the common trend with bars he "runs" is that they are Sad & completely empty. Maybe that's why the couple patrons they had earlier left before he got there. So it's because of this that they absolutely earn this one star review just like he earned the last one I wrote. Same tough guy attitude, same poor handling of situations. No credibility or professionalism. Stay on the bottom rung bud.

One of my traditions is to play my game of choice Caveman Keno and enjoy a cold one or possibly two halfway in the work week. It makes sense because this about the halfway point between my previous and future outdoor adventure where I live life on my time. Dylan's Gaming Lounge has been one of the well suited go to spot. It is near my home and in a shopping center where I take care of some errands. Dylan's Gaming Lounge is a medium size bar/lounge decorated with some neat stuff. The walls display rock and roll memorbelia including a CCR guitar and Elvis Presley "Aloha From Hawaii" memorbelia. There is a pool table, an Internet juke box, and in the center stands the bar. The bar is square shaped with TV monitors above playing professional sports from golf to Major League baseball. I consider Dylan's a classic rock bar. There is rock n roll memorbelia displayed throughout the room. The Point FM, the terrestrial radio station that plays the greatest hard rock hits of all time is the soundtrack. Billy Idol, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, and the Who's Who of Classic Rock grab the attention of the room. Rocking tunes makes gambling in moderation fun. Now, the downside to using the Point FM as the soundtrack instead of satellite radio are all the commercials. The selling point of Dylan's Gaming Lounge that I need to yelp about is that the cold ones are inexpensive. It is my understanding that Happy Hour is til 6 PM, however, the friendly woman serving drinks said, "It's always Happy Hour here." At any rate I have only paid $2 for a Bud draft. Another selling point is that this isn't one of those bars where they only sell bottles of beer. I appreciate this because in my opinion draft beer is the equivalent of what a fountain drink is to cola. Dylan's Gaming is a fun place to gamble when the Point is not playing commercials. Their gaming machines have kept a $5 bill (I'm not a high roller) playing quarter plays in action for at least an hour. There has been one woman running the show at Dylan's Gaming Lounge. Just like the classic rock hits playing on the Point, she is upbeat and fast. Unlike the Point, she doesn't seem to have the advantage of a break. A shout out to the hardworking bartender! Dylan's Gaming Lounge is an enjoyable spot to slow down and enjoy a cold one. Two dollars for a draft beer in an upbeat bar/lounge playing classic rock and professional sports with modern gaming machines, is a business that I yelp positively about.
