What a great venue! This is old school intimate small band legit! Great service and a super cool lounge! They even have a small appetizers menu to fix your cravings and a pretty nice adult beverage selection too! Tonight we saw Tge Riflemen! They were really good playing some blues and old school rhythm!

Ok so im going to give this place one more star than i normally would have because i know the surroundings would otherwise be a really cool joint to hang out in......just not on the night i went. Down a little staircase in the historic Boulder Dam Hotel lies a space that comes alive after 4:30pm with a dimly lit venue where cocktails are served...they claim it is like a speakeasy. My first impression was "wow this is cool".. that all came to a screeching halt quickly. While looking at the cocktail menu and after telling the waitress we weren't sure what we wanted yet, she just stood there hovering over us until we ordered....awkward. She wasnt even friendly. No smile whatsoever. Usually there is a live band that plays here....but the night we went apparently there wasn't... thats okay as we just wanted to sip our drinks and snack on the bar mix they brought which was very good. The quiet drink i expected to have was quickly overpowered by a boisterous and even obnoxious couple at the table in front of us who spoke loudly about themselves to a guy who possibly was the owner. Every other word was "I" and "me". I couldn't imagine who wants to hear their entire life story. They even fought over who is leaving the tip...cringeworthy. Well I was very relieved when these two left and I thought I would get a little better but it didn't. The Guy I assumed to be the owner, and the waitress were discussing the waitresses drunken ex boyfriend and how also how the bar mix is given to him on a deal at Costco otherwise he never be able to afford to give it away.....yikes. Talk about washing the classy right out of the place (and the experience) So these reasons are why I said it would have been a nice place to hang out, but that was mildly ruined by them and their customers. We left. Next. Too awkward in this one.

Great drinks and bartender, it was a very cool relaxing vibe with super fun people who love to dance beautifully. Very classy! Enjoyed my birthday to the fullest! We even won the raffle!!!

I love a good "speakeasy" vibe to a bar! Cleveland's The Lounge is just that vibe without actually being a true speakeasy! Located in the small basement of the historic Boulder Dam Hotel, this space was once perhaps an actual speakeasy! Upon entering the lobby of the old hotel, immediately to your left is stairs leading to the lounge in the basement. It's dimly lit upon entering the bar, with tables and booths a plenty, and a cozy stage located in the distance! The bar itself is quaint, nicely done without being too fancy for the "space", and gives everything the feel of a prohibition era! The wines are very good, and at $8 a glass for a decent Cab, I left wondering how cool this space may be on a Friday or Saturday when the live musicians are in the house!

I just love this place! Located inside the hotel. Walk downstairs into this 1970's vibe lounge complete with full bar and live music. Great service you will feel welcomed in like one of the locals. Dinner first nearby at Casa Don Quixote then finish off the evening at Cleveland's and that is a wonderful night!

A delightful new speakeasy like club, attached to the historic Boulder Dam Hotel! We were staying in the hotel on a Wednesday, so it was a quiet night at the bar, just us, a couple other folks and the bartender, Isaac, right around the 5-7 hour. He made polite conversation, and mixed a great drink! I personally loved how organized everything was (maybe due to its newness). They had very good choices for hard alcohol as well, nothing was anything "too cheap", so even well drinks were higher quality. If you stay at the Boulder Dam Hotel, you get a first drink special, which I think is very welcoming to hotel guests. If you aren't staying at the hotel, you should stop by anyways as prices are very reasonable! Definitely under $8 for a drink, maybe even two, depending on what you like! They offer a variety of snacks that you can purchase for under $3. The vibe is very relaxing with a touch of secretive. The bar is just to the left of the hotel entrance, down a staircase. It is a large open space, with plenty of comfy areas to sit. It has a small staging area, where we were told they hold live music on the weekends. We were told it is more of a Jazz type lounge, where the music is softer, and allows for patrons to still have conversation. I am very happy that we were able to try this place out. I hope they continue, because I would love to be able to come back sometime next year. Come support if you are ever in the area.

I absolutely LOVE this place! If you are looking for a cozy spot, classy ambiance, great cocktails, amazing music and an excellent staff this is where you must go! They have the BEST Moscow Mules . They make them and serve them in a copper mug and copper straw. The bartenders are very professional. They always make my drinks so perfect! Cleveland the owner has created an atmosphere that will not disappoint. Very inviting and classy ! Rhonda is the icing and cherry on top of this place . She always greets you with a smile and ensures you are having a great experience! The live music is always great. If you are ever in Boulder City make sure to stop by Clevelands speakeasy bar . You will love it as I do!

This is a delightful place in the basement of the Boulder Dam hotel. There's often live music, and you'll feel like you're stepping into a movie from the 40s. Cleveland is the owner, and he's very friendly. It's a great place to escape from the stresses of life and step back in time!

We do usually come on Sunday mornings so not too busy. I am a big fan of the delicious Whip options as a person who's not the biggest fan of beer. There's a decent amount of street parking, but we happened to ride in at a busy time and had to park around the back by Ace Hardware, which still was an incredibly short walk around the corner. These are undeniably my favorite smashburgers in the vegas area. These burgers have truly smashed, crispy edges. I don't remember the name of mine, but it comes with mushrooms and a garlic aioli, and I loved it. The fries were well seasoned but a bit soft - could have been crunchier. My husband enjoyed his classic smashburger and commented that the condiment balance on this was great (he's dealt with very messy/sloppy smashburgers from other places). The only word of note for the burgers - it didn't seem like there was any line, but we were told it would be 30 minutes for our order, which seemed a bit much, but I also understand it was just one individual in the truck. Actually on that note, I'm not even sure if the food truck has it's own listing, as it's Tacos and Burgers, or if it's a part of Beer Zombie... We also got the Dole Whip beer, which I think it their beer with lemon sour (?), I enjoyed it and found it refreshing, but once my husband said the aftertaste reminded him of the acidic aftertaste of vomit, I was ruined, lol. I did enjoy it before that! It's a beautiful hangout area with turf, lots of seating, and a water feature with some fish and a turtle (we spent our meal wondering how the turtle doesn't escape and explore Boulder City...) not a ton of shade other than the gazebo so on a sunny day it could be rough. Fortunately for us it was cloudy and actually windy.

As many who have been to Boulder City know, they roll up the sidewalks pretty early at night and although it's a delightful town, there's only a short list of things to do once the sun goes down. That said, after a 12 hour workday in the desert heat, the things I could count on was the quick walk, cheap drinks and the friendly conversations that can be found at Maxx's bar. I've been here a couple times now this week already, but tonight I stopped by after 12 hours in the sun, a Panda Bowl and a shower to grab a few drinks. As I walked down the street I could hear loud music playing and figured they just had the speakers up more than usual, but as I walked up I noticed a singer on the patio. He was singing some classics from my days, but with a raegae twist and it was quite pleasant to hear and see, especially alongside the crowd having fun outside. I really appreciate the fact that they have live music on Wednesdays. I walked in and parked my awkward butt on a barstool and was welcomed in by Kristen. She asked me what I'd like and she quickly served me my order. It felt nice being an outsider in the community, but still feeling welcomed and I was fortunate to be able to share a casual conversation with Kristen. Throughout the evening, she was very attentive and kept the beverages flowing while also tending to patrons both inside as well as on the patio enjoying the live music. This is obviously a bar with quite a few regulars, but that's what I love about bars back home and it made me feel very welcome. I enjoyed watching some game highlights on TV and took the time to catch up on emails and texts from earlier in the day. All around, this is a fantastic bar to stop by whether you're passing through or staying in town for a few days. As someone who appreciates consistency and routine, I definitely hope to be back soon and enjoy another relaxing evening at Maxx's. Two thumbs up for Kristen and the Maxx's team!

If you blink driving into Boulder City, you might miss it and that'd be a shame, because this place…read moreain't just a stop... it's a stroll. The kind where you park the truck, stretch your legs, and suddenly you're wandering past little shops, mom-and-pop eateries, and front porches that practically dare you to slow down a minute. It's got that old-school charm, like time agreed to take its boots off and stay awhile. Now yeah, I did the "TV thing." I swung by The Coffee Cup Cafe you know, the one off Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Had my cup of coffee, tipped my cap, said "alright, that's solid." But let's be honest... just because it made it on TV don't mean it owns the crown. Sometimes the real gold's tucked a block over, minding its own business. Enter Big T's Cantina. Now listen... I may be a little biased toward Mexican food but I know greatness when it hits me in the mouth. Those asada tots? Lord have mercy. That's not food, that's an event. That's the kind of plate where you take a bite, lean back, and look at your buddy like, "We ain't leaving, are we?" Drinks were flowing, cold and strong strong enough that at one point I'm pretty sure I told a stranger from Florida he was my long-lost cousin. He didn't argue, so now I might have family in Tampa. And here's where the story turns... We start out minding our business, right? Next thing you know, we're sliding tables together like we're hosting Thanksgiving. Some folks from Florida, a couple locals, and us just talking trash, swapping stories, and somehow it turns into a full-blown drinking contest. Not the official kind, no trophies... just pride on the line and bad decisions being drafted in real time. At one point someone says, "You think you can keep up?" And I go, "Buddy, I work on an oil rig. Hydration is a lifestyle." Five minutes later I'm questioning my life choices and ordering another round anyway. That right there that's what made this place my number one. It wasn't just the food (which slapped). It wasn't just the drinks (which definitely slapped back). It was the people. The way a random afternoon turned into a table full of laughter, strangers turning into friends, and one of those memories you don't plan you just walk straight into. Big T's might not have the biggest ratings. It might not have a TV crew parked outside. But from where I'm sitting? It's the heartbeat of that strip. So here's my advice don't just follow the hype. Take the walk. Peek into the shops. Find your own spot. Write your own chapter. But if you want a little head start? Big T's Cantina. That's the one.

There's only one guacamole option listed, but it says you can add things like pineapple or bacon without listing any additional pricing or the original ingredients. I ordered the Loaded Carne Asada tacos, which came with rice and beans. Honestly, the tacos needed about double the meat. It felt like they added extra cabbage and pico to bulk them up instead of giving a proper portion of carne asada. It was weird to have the cabbage on the bottom of the taco instead of the meat. The beans were good though. They tasted like traditional refried pinto beans and were probably the most solid part of the plate. The rice was a miss for me because the cilantro was extremely overpowering. The complimentary chips and salsa were great. The salsa definitely has some heat, so if you like spicy, you'll probably enjoy that part.
