My friend's & I stopped in here last Saturday with a Meetup group. There was a band on one side but we choose not to sit on that side as it didn't seem inviting or comfortable so we went next door to the bar side & grabbed some seats @ the bar. I signed up for a player's card but no great freebies right away. Dillion was the one who signed me up for my card, he was nice. Alyssa was the bartender who took care of my friend's & I. I really liked her. She was friendly, engaged in conversation with us & was quick to wait on us & bring us our drinks. I played some video poker but didn't win anything. Bathrooms are single, male and female and they're strict on boys using the boys & girls using the girls per a sign they have hung up....lol There is one pool table & a few tall table tops you can hang out at. It does seem more of a dive bar with a younger crowd, like 20 year olds. My friend's & I were prob the oldest ones on the bar side.....lol I love the outdoor décor, so cute!! read more

I haven't been to Water Street in Henderson in probably 10+ years but glad I went. We had dinner reservations nearby and were early so walked to the Gold Mine Tavern for a cocktail. It was a Saturday night and the place was pretty busy. We were able to order a round of drinks for 3 and a bar stool opened up. The bartenders are quick. Drink prices are great. They have gaming, so played a little Keno. The band was warming up but we had to leave for our dinner reservations. Great vibe, I'm sure it got even busier once the band got going. They don't serve food but there was a food truck right outside that was also busy. Would definitely be back, live music is always a plus. read more

Oh my gosh! We had so much fun here last night. We were taking our daughter out for a birthday hanging and we're so surprised by this little hiddengem. It's totally old school Henderson, but there was a great group of mid 20s to 60-year-olds. The live band could've been coming straight out of the jukebox and the prices for drinks were great for being on Water Street. They had a really good food truck outside and they have an adorable patio. I can't wait to go back to when the weather gets better. I've been here a couple times mostly during the day where it is almost empty even then the service is sub par at best. Bartenders seem more interested in chatting with their regulars than serving new customers and when they do get around to taking my drink order they've always seemed cold and unwelcoming. I've usually only been able to get one drink in with play but at the very least the drinks are good and there is a wide variety of them with unique options not available at other bars. The main issue with this place is game quality, as with many bars video poker returns 97% at best and there is no progressives either. The players club is pretty bad as well few if any promotions available and the free play offers are slim to none. Even if you do get free play the machines can sometimes have issues registering it. There is also no smoking allowed in the bar. Overall wouldn't recommend gambling at this establishment but if you are just getting a drink there are some good options available. read more

Saturday night walking down Water Street we couldn't help but be drawn to the music. Passed a few other bars in the process. As we approached there was a crowd of people in front spilling on the street. Tables were set up in the sidewalk & a food truck parked in front. We slipped in through the vibrant crowd. All were having a great time with the band. The band was not your typical group. Truly talented & clearly loved what they do. It spurred the crowd & I was blown away by the eclectic mix & enthusiasm. This local bar is exactly what you want regardless of age. It felt warm & inviting, fun & completely unpretentious. As a local, I continue to be disappointed with the lack of appreciation of someone that not only often goes there but I also send tones of business to this place. With an empty bar they demanded we sit on tables and not at the bar so we were not in front of the machines. The machines make them the most margin, I get it, however if the bar is not close to full I find it disrespectful that they would demand we not sit at the bar. I travel a lot for work, and when I am back in Vegas, I don't have a lot of free time. That means I try to make the most of that free time I do have. Part of that has included going to the Gold Mine for the last several years to decompress and have good drinks at a reasonable price. Ever since Hayley began working Tuesday swings, I started not only getting good drinks at reasonable prices, but fantastic service as well. She really knew how to connect with her patrons and was always able to make my rough days just a little bit better. I am disappointed to see Hayley doesn't work on Tuesday's anymore. Don't get me wrong there is nothing bad about the new girl, but she just isn't Hayley. I hope Gold Mine will fix this and bring Hayley back so I can start going back again. read more

I used to like this venue when the owner was arround. Since few months, there is a group of people that own the place in a very unfriendly way. I had money withheld from my cash out, that means my own money that put into the slots machine, by a certain Shelfy or so she introduced herself, because she decided to ask me to leave the premises without good reason. I asked to have acces to the gambling machines and she was offended by my request, because I put her on the spot to ask other patrons to move, in order to let me spend my money for the Golden Entertainment! Now, it might be another company, but the fact that I want to use the slots, and she refused to give my gd the money back, $160 that she wanted to cash out after she feed $200 in, that is beneath any gambling business practice in NV. I had a weird guy,at the next machines, that I asked to activate my frozen screen, and start pushing al kind of buttons to make it work, and then, he said I must play the hand HE pushed, in my behalf, whe I asked him to stop, and cash out.! This employees are clueless and arrogant, and are not representative of our community! They believe that bullying customers is going to bring them more revenue ... Well, I wonder about that... the place next door, and across the street changed hands twice in the last years.... just saying. I know at one point the owner was extremely involved and present on the premises on a regular basis, and his input was noticed, when he connected with us, organizing the performances and keeping the place in good shape. Nowadays I have to beg to gamble! And if I ask I'm labeled by the staff as a " demanding" or "difficult" customer... What's the point for Golden Entertainment to have this location on their route? Or Jr's? If my money or my girlfriend's money is withheld by an employee at their own will? Could this be this considered fraud or racketeering? I'm not sure , but I'll definitely seek expert advice in this matter, just to understand the dynamics of the industry. Please be careful, if you are using this venue, that used to be great and a neighborhood staple, with the new servers at the bar, that might not bring justice to the ownership of the business. read more

This bar has come a long way from years ago when it was a lot of bikers. It has the feel of a watering hole, but has been updated and draws everyone, and everyone is welcomed as they come through the door. We are VERY impressed with the staff. The manager, Kori, is on her game. She has a way of being a cool manager and bar tender, and yet will not put up with any situations that may compromise the atmosphere of the patrons. She is there for us, and keeps things in order in a great way. We have nothing but professional respect for her approach, and what she has achieved with the staff. Juke box, pool tables, cold beer, laid back watering hole with NEW JELLO SHOT FLAVORS EVERY FEW DAYS!!! Try the pudding shots. Two thumbs up for a great bar on water street.
