When our waitress came to check on us, bc we had gotten our food, she noticed I was a bit upset & asked if everything was okay, I disclosed that everything was fine but my mom had just passed away & it was my birthday so the day was tough. She left & came back & said for me to pick out a dessert (standard practice). A few minutes go by & another waitress comes to the table & lets me know that our entire bill had been covered by the restaurant manager. I made sure to tip the age of my mom ($65) & thanked them immensely. I was not looking for a discount, for a comped meal or anything of the sorts. But they went above & beyond to do something nice for me in a time where my world was dark. I will forever be thankful & will continue to frequent. Throughout the evening, no one checked on our room, our water glasses were never refilled, and we were essentially ignored once we were seated. The karaoke experience itself was also frustrating. They don't have YouTube Premium, so when songs had to be played through YouTube, everyone had to sit through ads before singing. That's not something I'd expect from a business that specializes in karaoke. To make matters worse, the restrooms were clogged, which was another disappointment during the evening. The staff knew we were celebrating a birthday. They brought in champagne and sang "Happy Birthday," which was a nice touch, but after that we received almost no service for the rest of the night. It felt more like checking a box than actually taking care of their guests. What made the experience especially disappointing is that Moonlight is more expensive than the other karaoke spots we usually visit. We chose it because we expected a premium experience for a special occasion, but instead we received some of the worst service we've experienced at any karaoke venue. They have a nice ambiance and between their furniture and the rest of the ALoft lobby, there is a pool table, there are board games and TVs, there's also an outdoor patio to take drinks. I've tried their food once, their burgers were pretty good. For drinks, I tried one of their seasonal Smoked Old Fashioned's (made with Buffalo Trace) which was pretty good and a good price ($13), as well as their frozen drinks (pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris, $15 each). Two different bartenders worked my drinks this trip and they both did a good job. I've enjoyed hanging out in Vegas off-strip and Henderson, I still have a fun time, I've gotten good food and drinks that weren't so pricy. Very good experience from a hotel bar that didn't break the bank.
