a stage set up for a concert

My wife and I attended a Windjammers concert at Club Madrid. First, if you love Yacht Rock (best of 70'80's music) this band is TOP SHELF. It was free (still not sure how that works) but we loved 90 minutes of amazing music. We were very impressed with Club Madrid also. The space was clean and comfortable. For a fairly small venue, they have done a great job with audio and lighting. I am an audio snob - the gear is solid and the audio engineer did a great job with the mix. The venue is simple to find...we loved it.

Supreme Reflections Tribute Band

My mother received an offer in the mail from Sunset Station for a free room and comp tickets to see a show. She asked if I wanted to go to Vegas with her...hell yes!!...to see the show. Our tickets were for a group called Supreme Reflections, a tribute band to Diana Ross and The Supremes. We honestly didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised to see the show was a documentary type of performance, which included a video/picture montage. It included a host who introduced the group and in between their wardrobe changes, he provided a history on Diana Ross and The Supremes from the time they got together through her solo career. He also sung some of the duets that Supremes did with other groups, like The Temptations. The venue is really nice. We were very comfortable. Our tickets said that we get a booth, so we were very grateful to have an entire booth to relax in and watch the show. One thing that concerns me with many venues like this one is the air conditioning blowing at full blast in my face the whole time. I do not like to be cold. I like to be comfortable when seeing a show and I have been frozen solid many times by the time the show is over. Thankfully this didn't happen this time. Everything was really nice and comfortable. Even the cocktail waitress was very friendly attentive. All in all, it was a really fun experience!

The interior as people are leaving a concert.

My review of Club Madrid is for its use as a concert venue. I went here last night for the Jose Feliciano concert. The seating was arranged in almost a semi-circle fashion in front of its proscenium stage. Last night, the seating was arranged into four sections. The things I liked were the chairs were padded and weren't simply folding metal chairs which become tiresome during a concert. Also, they were not attached to each other with self-locking plastic ties--again something than some venues do. The negatives of the seating were that the chairs were close together and while there was plenty of legroom under the chair in front, you couldn't cross your legs without whacking the person sitting next to you. For the concert last night, the sound was excellent. The sound people were on their toes and kept things at the correct level all night. I also noticed the number of lights in the club and watched as they were used very effectively for the concert. This is an OK venue for a concert.

No one should be afraid to speak their minds. Think of music as a book club exchange of thoughts, stories, and emotions.

Madrid. Home of the largest art museums in Spain. Is now the home to one of Las Vegas's largest collaboration of musical artist. Think of music as a book club exchange of thoughts, stories, and emotions. Where Everyday Fears can be exchanged for Tears of Joy.An open book which is best understood on the open roads. And when a problem comes along we can always count on the Spazmatics to Whip It

Michael Grimm and the Delta Bound Band

Once again we traveled to Club Madrid to see Michael Grimm and The Delta Bound Band. The band included a number of regulars and back-up singers, but there were a few regulars missing on this evening perhaps due to the holiday the prior evening. The sound is very good and seating was not a problem though the venue is relatively small. A number of people took advantage of the dance floor during the performance.

Yellow Brick Road plays classic rock at Club Madrid Friday nights. My friends introduced me to this band and they are great musicians and the show is fun, lively and everyone dances The band members are friendly, funny, inclusive and they have a very dedicated following. A fantastic ROCKING time!

Want to see washed up 80s bands relive their glory days while caterwauling on a temporary outdoor…read morestage? Then June Fest is for you! I can't complain because I was treated to comp VIP tickets by the casino so that meant I had close up seats and free food and booze, but I'm not sure the "rack rate" ticket prices would be worth it. There are two seating areas: in fold out chairs closer to the stage and then a grassy "lawn" area in back. The actual seating area seats were expensive so most of them went empty. Next year the organizers might want to consider making the lawn area bigger and remove a lot of those empty chairs. The lineup was fun and was touted as a Salute to the 80s. John Waite, Berlin, and the Romantics all played pretty sad sets as none of them were really that good anymore. At least it was fun to sing along to their hits. The best part of the lineup was the legendary (fresh off her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction) Joan Jett! This lady is still ROCKING, people! She came out on stage in a badass silver sequined jumpsuit and her voice sounded great. She blasted out a crazy setlist of all of her biggest hits as well as songs from her days in the Runaways. The stage was small but fine and the plastic chair reserved seating did the job. There were plenty of bars around for booze. I ordered a margarita from 3 different bars and each bar was out of some crucial ingredient. One didn't have tequila, one didn't have limes and another didn't have sour mix. Huh? What is up with that? A bar without basic ingredients for one of the world's most popular drinks? I finally gave up and just drank Diet Pepsi. The food booths had very long lines because of inefficient food prep procedures, but the food was pretty tasty considering the limited outdoor cooking areas. Food was pricey as you'd expect. The hotel kept the pool open during the concert so you could go for a swim if you wanted. You couldn't see the stage from the pool but you could hear the bands just fine (the sound system was sort of quiet which was nice, no busted eardrums here and no earplugs were necessary). I'd go to this event again, especially if it was comped!

Very poor communication of rules and what is allowed. Inconsistent reinforcing of "rules". Made me…read morethrow out bottle of water but sat next to people with coolers of energy drinks. Music good but would not want to attend future events due to this.

I was attending an gala event at this center called "Healthcare Hereos" to honor local administrators, doctors, medical personnell, and volunteers who have served our community during the ongoing COVID panademic.
