Local breweries in attendance at past fests include Gordon Biersch, Ellis Island, Boulder Dam Brewing, Big Dog's and Banger Brewing. Among the newest attendees are Lovelady Brewing, Hop Nuts Brewing and Astronomy Aleworks. Reno has also been represented. A handful from Arizona and California, such as Stone Brewing, Ballast Point and Four Peaks Brewing, also take part. There are also a few vendors selling wares such as beer related goodies. Live music rounds out the lineup, and the crowd is a mix of generations. There are a lot of brewery tents spread throughout the park, and a row of food trucks park on the street up the hill. The festival offers 2 levels of pricing, with VIP entrance starting at 1 pm and ranging from $45 to $60. General admission starts at 3 pm, ranging from $35 to $45. The cheaper tickets are only available before event day. 2019 was the 7th annual beerfest, and the crowd was the largest I've seen yet! The MonteLago Village Beerfest by far is among the best beer festivals I've ever attended. Festival admission for GA is 3PM - 7PM ($35). The whole village is lined with beer tents. I love how spread out everything is. Nobody likes a cluster-fuck. Guests received a glass souvenir taster to sample the awesome beer available. There were local favorites like Hop Nuts, Aces and Ales, and Boulder Dam Brewing, but also breweries like Hop Valley from Oregon or Saint Archer from San Diego. There was so much beer even 4 hours wasn't enough to sample beer from every tent. This was a great beer festival with perfect weather and an awesome backdrop of the lake. 10/10 would recommend. I managed to spend eight hours there, finishing the evening with some margaritas and nachos at the Mexican restaurant nearby. The event benefits local radio station 91.5, I was actually able to get tickets as a part of their pledge drive, so this was a win win for me. The staff and volunteers were at the event and everyone had an opportunity to interact with them while enjoying some great music. Parking is really easy, the structure has ample number of shaded spots available; restrooms are easily accessible and very clean. Definitely looking forward to returning next year!

Parking is guided on a dirt lot across the street from the church. You have to get a wristband at the entrance and there is a $5 cover per person, exempting very young children. The food stalls were buzzing with many hungry patrons, but the people serving were so efficient that we barely had to wait in line at all which was excellent (though I heard the crowd was projected to be much bigger on Saturday). We got a sample platter of many different items, all were delicious. You have to purchase tickets in order to get food, old-fashioned festival style. Really took me back to my youth. There are stalls for kids to play games & win prizes, and a couple of what looked like vendor stalls also. In addition to smoking hookah you can also purchase one new from their varied selection of quality pieces. And of course, I had to finish off the evening with some amazing Baklava. Wonderful food and great entertainment, such a good time!

I got there just before 4 PM their advertised opening time. Wehn I went to pay my entrance fee, I got a $20 bill out of my wallet. Then I saw a sign--$40 fee for Friday. Different prices for Saturday and SUnday depending on the time you go. Every other year, it was $10 to get in. I should have done what the woman in front of me decided--leave and come back the next day when it's $10. I didn't select that option because I wasn't driving there from Summerlin the next day as well as Friday afternoon. I paid the $40 and went inside. Of course, then you have to buy tickets to pay for the food you select.. I got $25 in tickets. For the $25, I got a chicken schawarma, 2 kibbi, and 5 rolled baklava that I took home with me. That makes a $65 dinner. I should have left and not come back. I could have had a nice dinner in a restaurant with table saervice. Instead, I carried my food to folding chairs and folding tables with plastic table cloth. Besides the entrance fee,, I had to wait for my schawarma. Despite opeing at 4, they weren't ready. Cooks in the church fill metal containers that are then brought to the booths for sale. They weren't ready and I had to wait 20 minutes for the chicken and beef to come out and be placed in the warming containers. One saving thing--the food was good. I will not be returning again. This entrance fee is a donation fore the church, but it is asking too much of the public. I could have gone somewhere and sat at a table, had a server take my order and bring my food, and sit in a more enjoyable place. If this is a place you like to go, check the website. It was in the middle of no where, or at least it felt like it. I drove all the way from NW Vegas (95/Durango) to Sam Boyd Stadium. As soon as we had entered, parking was pretty much overwhelmed and all parking was diverted to the dirt lots. It was a evening, Saturday night, at 7:00 P.M for the Monster Jam show. We had arrived about 45 minutes early to get our seats and pick up any snacks. It was quite packed. The seats were relatively uncomfortable, more like bleacher style seating. The rows were numbered, along with the seats. There is a bag policy, so make sure that you bring a clear bag, or your purse is small. Food and drink is relatively expensive here. It's comparable to other stadium food. The churros were disgusting. It tasted like rubber, but my daughter still ate it. The popcorn was stale. Overall, the show itself, the Monster Jam show, was a lot of fun, but the Stadium itself could use a re-work, especially the seats. It is a outdoor stadium. I'd imagine during summer, it could get really hot.

Parking: Free Dirt lot parking for the games with a pretty close walk to the main entrance. The tailgating area offers a lot of space in a grass lot that makes for a fun tailgate experience. The UNLV vs Hawaii tailgate is always a great tailgate with fans from both sides having a good time before the game. Stadium: As I mentioned it's 46 years old and you can tell. However like downtown Las Vegas, it's functional and you can still have a good time if you keep your expectations realistic. It's an outdoor stadium with minimal shading unless you're by the score tower with the sun behind it. It's bench seating that's not the most comfortable but I know that at every game I go to here. There's plenty of snack stations and I really try to avoid concession stand food so I eat up at the tailgate. $8 for a wide mouth bottle of domestic beers to keep your buzz going from the tailgate. Two major tips dropped there...=) Staff: No issues with the staff throughout my visits and everyone I came across was pleasant. As of Oct, 2017 there is a new bag policy that just about limits most bags, backpacks, purses, etc from entering the stadium. http://www.samboydstadium.com/event-services/bag-policy/ Henderson police present was evident through the stadium along with the stadium security. Shout out to the men and women who help keep these events safe, much appreciated. There are 20 some stops along the Walk, which include retail stores, restaurants, bars and service businesses. Even the Boulder Dam Museum (within a hotel) is a stop, and they had one of the nicest set ups. Among the "treats" at the stops are wine, of course, water and snacks. It's not wine at each stop, which is disclosed in the event description. However, only one business that we went to didn't have wine! And they pour heavy in the cute and sturdy tasting glass everyone gets. Most places had a few different types of wine, some even had around 10! It was a hot day, and it was nice to get relief in the a/c at the stops. Some of the places had a big area for the wine tasting, and a few were really awkward. These places were busy with regular customers, and it seemed like having the wine there was an imposition. The check-in was easy, and this is where you buy tickets and receive the wine stop map. A few vendors were there handing out goodies as well as wine. This event is a great way to check out all the businesses around Downtown. They have a gift basket raffle and another basket for the costume contest winner. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and I plan on returning.

This year Warped Tour was held at the Hard Rock Hotel with 6 stages located throughout the property. Unfortunately, they stuck all the metal bands at the outdoor stages in the direct sunlight. I guess they figured we could take it lol. For a $50 ticket, I got to see Hatebreed, the Acacia Strain, After the Burial, Carnifex, Emmure, Gwar, Sylar, and Fire from the Gods. I'm good with that! There was absolutely zero food vendors on site, which is why I took away one star. I feel like all festivals should have local food trucks on hand. There was nothing outdoors for a vegan to eat, but I wound up eating at the Asian restaurant inside Hard Rock. The heat was a killer, but there was a few shaded spots to take cover under. A water/hydration center was also provided free of charge, but the water was lukewarm. :/ Warped Tour is a haven for fans of alternative, punk, metal, and emo music.
