What I love the most about this place is, somewhere around there there's a speakeasy you gotta find it yourself It's so nice in there! Definitely will continue to return for the great beer rotation. The bartenders have come across as unusually aggressive and visibly annoyed from the start of interactions. I understand that busy nights can be stressful, but the consistent rudeness seems to be part of the overall experience rather than an isolated incident. What made the experience especially uncomfortable is that, after reading many positive reviews, I found myself wondering why my interactions felt so different. As a Mexicana, I can't help but question whether my ethnicity played a role in the way I was treated. I can't say for certain that it did, but the contrast was significant enough that it left me feeling unwelcome and concerned.

Let's just say...where has this cover band been all my life?! The five of us got in line at 7:30pm, just to get a good spot on the floor right when the doors opened at 8:00pm. Admission to get in was free and we were allowed to bring in our own water and snacks. A small bar is also located inside. I drove here so I couldn't really drink any alcohol or cocktails, plus I left my water in the car, so I got myself a soda, which was only $3 plus tip. What a deal! Club Madrid is one of the coziest clubs I've been to so far. The surround sound was perfect (not too quiet or too loud) and the dance floor is very spacious. Seeing everybody dance along to their favorite classic rock songs was totally awesome, and I got to dance myself and get up close with the band at one point. As someone who has parents that listened to a bunch of classic rock when I was younger and being hooked onto it ever since, I knew and sang along to every song that they played. Some songs on their set list were Back in Black by AC/DC, Any Way You Want It by Journey, Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith, and Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. They took the stage at 9:00pm, where they played for about two hours (no intermission) before closing their show with Hot For Teacher by Van Halen. Two people in our meetup group had to leave a little early, but myself and two others stayed for the entire duration of the show. Hint: if you want to see YBR perform, their next show will be at Boulder Station on 4/25/25. They are AMAZING and you will NOT be disappointed.

You can also sit or stand at a table top. The bar opens up and has some big screens (we watched the winter X-Games hosted in Aspen) and a great view of the stage in Club Madrid. I enjoyed a Bloody Mary with extra olives. The bartender is fast, friendly, and makes a tasty drink. He keeps a clean and stocked bar. You can tell he enjoys his job. Everyone was singing along with the band and the seats were full. The only draw back on this particular visit was the smoking. I had to leave. I was getting a headache. The ventilation at this time is temporarily hindered due to the wall that is up right behind that area. The Casino is doing a wonderful job of renovating and unfortunately until that area is complete it's not as enjoyable. You must checkout The Sports book! It is amazing. So nice! I'm looking forward to 80's night when the construction is done.

The fact that it is 100% BYOB, and of course, 100% smoke-free, makes this place the ideal place to have any type of event. Bigdog keeps this place so clean, that you can literally eat off the floors. Every event that we attend here, it's like walking into a different venue every time. Bigdog is constantly updating this place. He is always improving it to make it better. Their sound system is off the charts. Their light-show is absolutely beautiful. If you get a chance to come here for an event, you will clearly see how much money you will save by being able to BYOB. Just for reference, I normally spend anywhere from $50 to a $100 every time I go out anywhere in this town, but, coming here... I pay the membership fee and bring my bottle of wine and end up spending less than $20!

It's kind of hard to find throughout the casino, so your best bet is to follow the signs and look for the escalators that take you down to the events center. Once you exit the escalators, you will see a bunch of different halls/ballrooms so make sure to find the right one for the event you're attending. I was attending an gala event at this center called "Healthcare Hereos" to honor local administrators, doctors, medical personnell, and volunteers who have served our community during the ongoing COVID panademic. I was honored to be able to attend and support a family member who was being recgonized at this event for all his hard work in the LV community. The hall/ballroom itself was absolutely beautiful and the stage is at the perfect height to allow guests to be able to see the presentation from any part of the room. The banquet staff were amazing and so kind to constantly attend to the guests needs for water, drinks, dinner etc. Overall the food was so delicious and I think the event itself was a wonderful way to celebrate and honor these heroes. Thank you to GVR and their amazing staff for providing space and service for this wonderful event. I would be glad to attend more events here in the future!

I HIGHLY SUGGEST going general admission for this one. Also as a side note don't purchase your tickets in advance like I did. It is better to pay a few dollars more and decide you don't want to walk around a festival in 100F heat. I went VIP and now am sorry I did. First of all this is the most unorganized food festival that I have ever been too. We had to stand in line to get wrist bands. Then as soon as we got wrist band we had to stand in another line to wait to get in. Then we had to stand in yet ANOTHER line to get our VIP food tickets. Also on the way to stand in the Food Ticket line there were countless trip hazards. (the most I have ever seen anywhere!) THE PROBLEM WITH VIP IS THAT IT LIMITS YOU TO ONLY CERTAIN VENDERS. YOU ALSO NEED A CELL PHONE to bring up a map of the event and it also lets you know what VIP Venders that you can try. You also need to GRAB A SEAT FAST because covered seating is very limited and fills up FAST. Then I hope you are OK with LOUD Music. The music they play is uncomfortably LOUD. Another problem with VIP is that YOU DON'T GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH. After three plates I was full and didn't want anymore food. We just wanted to leave. That said and ANYWAYS - The food I tried was good. I wish plates were smaller so I could have stomach room to try more things. I think what I enjoyed most was that my husband figured out the locations of certain food trucks and brought back the foods to our seats. I also enjoyed watching a young man (like 15 or 16 years old) air drumming and be-bopping to an extended version of Rod Steward's Do You Think I'm Sexy. I wonder if he knew that was a fifty year old song? Then Abba's Dancing Queen filled the air and he went cold. That was entertaining. Got lucky and had a close parking spot. Good Luck!
