It's such a cozy, intimate setting. Great venue for the live bands and performances they have there. It can definitely become SRO very quickly. There's no food but dining is nearby. It's a small bar so service can get backed up fairly quick but, they handle it well. Parking garage is a block away so, be cautious of weather.

I wanted to come here for a while now and it was worth the wait. The drinks here were amazing the bartender was fast and always very attentive and the band was supper cool and fun. The music was excellent and they played for about 2 hours or so. They were engaging with the crowd asking for a genre and adjetive to kind of improvise. I had a blast definitely coming back soon.

4 Stars Such a charming little jazz bar! The ambiance was cozy and intimate--perfect for a relaxed night out. The drinks were well-made, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We were especially looking forward to the live music, which was fantastic once it started! The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because we were told the music would start at 9:45 PM, but it didn't kick off until later, which threw off our plans a bit. Still, once it got going, it was well worth the wait. Would definitely come back!

A very cool and laid back bar located at the rear of the Downtown Grand Hotel . The bar has a speakeasy- jazz cool vibe. We stumbled upon Fat Cat LV in the afternoon as we were looking for the snack vending machines at the Grand. I had a refreshing vodka tonic. The friendly bartender said that a small band and vocalist can be heard and enjoyed in the evenings playing something similar to jazz - blues in an Amy Winehouse style. There are cool newspaper clippings and jazzy- blues posters from the depression era to the last mid- century.. a chill ambiance! Small plate appetizers can also be called up and enjoyed. Next time I find myself in Las Vegas, I will stumble upon this place in the evening.

Live music was excellent. Friendly welcoming staff. Good drinks and bar service! Located in an area with many good eateries.

We were staying at the grand for the weekend and came across this little hideaway bar inside our hotel. I love the ambience to this bar. We actually came here twice. Once the first night then the second night they had a band playing on stage. This bar is owned by a local so we fully support it!! So the drinks made here are sooooo goood. They are very minimal is beer selection but we managed. We wanted to come again for New Year's Eve but it was closed. We'll be back again though in the future because it was well worth it:) enjoy my pics!!

So I feel like this is going to be an unfair review because I actually didn't go during the time where it was up and running, I came when they were basically just opening so there really wasn't a live band in music. I feel like it deserves another chance! I love any spot that does jazz and a live fashion and this was it. It's an old Vegas so you have to go through the Grand hotel to get to it if you want to stay on the inside but it's definitely worth it. The bar has a lot of older things there like vinyls and things like that on the wall for decorations which is pretty cool. I had a few drinks, to drinks are somewhat reason to be priced so don't worry about that. But I feel like it would have definitely shined if it had been night time and they had had a band but they only have music on certain time. So you kind of get what you get. But, it is a old school jazz club kind of vibe to it, so you'll definitely enjoy it if you're into that! So because of the good customer service and the description of the place and the drinks in the camaraderie that was formed with the bartenders, I'm still going to give it a really decent score but I really need to see the music so I have to put that on my list of things to do but I'm looking forward to it.

This place is a chill blues and jazz lounge. The decor is swanky and comfortable. No food is available, but the drinks are on point. The only complaint I have is the drink I wanted to order wasn't available and there was only one active bar tender. Otherwise I would definitely return to watch more bands play and sip on fancy cocktails. The price for cocktails is $16 for the fancy ones.

Great Jazz club near Fremont (across from the Mob Museum) great music, cool vibe and tasty treats. A nice balance to the hustle of the "Fremont experience"

Stopped in here as they were opening. What a great spot! It has a cool and comfortable vibe. James the bartender was friendly and talented. He made me the Chubby Kitty. It's a smoky bourbon drink and I could taste the smoke! My husband ordered the Jazz Hands and that was delicious too. There was a jazz band setting up that I couldn't stay to see, I will be back to check that out!

It is now part of the routine when I'm in Vegas. The drinks are tasty but still have personality and a perspective. You can tell by the drink names in conjunction with tasting them - that the Prowl team take what they do seriously without taking themselves too seriously. No pretentious mixology nonsense. The atmosphere inside is simply top notch, its themed head to toe and for me personally, I always love a place that's well themed. The drinks were all good, and thankfully they have non-alcoholic versions for many of their drinks. No complaints on any of them, they were exactly what we were looking for. I will say the prices are a little steep, but this isn't someplace you are likely to come to on a regular basis, so I can excuse it. (And if you do like the vibe and come often, you can always get non tiki drinks cheaper.) Overall very very fun, wish we had come a little later because their was a band that was setting up and got maybe three songs in before we left, but they sounded pretty good!

They even have a nice food menu where you can get some things like coconut shrimp to pair with your tropical drinks. They do have the famous Dole Whip here. They also have a happy hour during weekdays from 3-6 pm I think (don't quote me on this exactly LOL). It's often busy so if you want a table, I recommend making a reservation. Cornelius recommended several locations to also check out and each of those locations talked about Nocturno being a great spot as well. When you do a cocktail crawl in the Arts District, and they all speak highly of Nocturno, you know it's not just reviews on apps, or awards issued, but mad respect earned from the community itself. It's about to have its 1 year anniversary, and I recommend a weekday visit as it's not as bumping (yet) as the weekend. Get here now while you can. The cocktail menu can appear overwhelming. It's not. It's a pirates treasure map to cocktail booty. It has the classics, and below each classic, is a family tree of variations. You can also just tell the bartenders to make you something with a frame of reference. Seriously, this spot is an educational experience if you want it to be. I was there on a Tuesday at opening, just my buddy and I at the bar, expecting to spend an hour and change there as we had a crawl planned. 20 minutes in, and I canceled my reservation at the Doberman. I also got to check out the restroom, which boasts a high tech toilet with automated opening/flushing and a heated seat! We had the pleasure of meeting Michael our bartender and Yesi the bartender apprentice, and regulars Bill and Kim from Texas on one side of us, and Mario from California on the other as we spent the next hour and half savoring one luxury cocktail each and some complimentary snacks (seasoned pistachio nuts, cheesy crackers, and a little amazing bite that I can't remember the ingredients of). Welcome complimentary drinks: "Key to my heart" -- fun little rum drinks to start off with served in a spherical black case surrounded by dry ice! (See video). The only hint I'll give is that it's located on the casino floor. When we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess. She asked us if we had reservations or were walking in. I really appreciated this because the way she phrased her question told me they had availability and we would be granted entry. The bar is very small and seats about 30. Reservations are strongly encouraged, however we went on a Monday in February. If you're going on a weeknight during off peak season, you should be okay without a reservation. The hostess gave us the option of sitting at the bar or at a table. We asked her for her rec and she said the bar so that's what we chose. The decor is beautiful. The ambiance is dark and moody. It's perfect for a date night. We were greeted by both bartenders. I believe the bartender that made our drinks was Rory. He was very nice and knowledgeable about cocktails. He was able to answer our questions and make suggestions based on our preferences. As we browsed the menu, we were presented with welcome drinks in a fancy smoky container. I don't recall the name of the drink, but it had a lychee flavor with a sugar rim and it was good! Drinks are extremely pricey which is to be expected in Vegas. It's also on par based on where the speakeasy is located (hint hint). The cheapest cocktail was $30 so prepare yourself for the sticker shock. Some drinks were $80-$100! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. I went with the Velvet Moon which was an interesting cocktail consisting of both gin and mezcal. It had flavors of hibiscus and it also had egg white which I absolutely love! The presentation was beautiful and I really enjoyed it! My friend went with the Basilico Bliss which he enjoyed. I didn't try any, but it looked really good. As we were enjoying our drinks, the staff presented us with savory bar snacks. They were tasty and were a perfect compliment to our cocktails. They do have food on the menu, but we had already eaten so we stuck with our complimentary snacks. As we were closing out, the staff presented us with a complimentary mini dessert. Rory described it as a Carajillo Jello shot. I don't like jello (I hate the texture), but I do love Carajillos. My friend does not drink coffee and does not like coffee flavor, so I ate both of them. They were so delicious (but the texture was off putting lol). I typically don't mention the restrooms in my reviews, but this one is worth mentioning. All I have to say is heated seats with a bidet! We really enjoyed our visit. Had the drinks not been so pricey, we probably would have stayed longer. If you enjoy speakeasies and/or craft cocktails, go have a drink at The Vault! The experience alone is worth it!
