Who could say no to a jazz bar Downtown? Nocturno is always a good time whenever I visit. With their large cocktail selection, everyone is able to find something they would enjoy. For this visit I came on a Tuesday to experience their jazz night. I will say the music is noisy which can be hard for conversation since the lounge itself is pretty small but the musicians sounded great so it made up for it! Our server was super helpful with the bartender's choice selection. Can't wait to return!
Came here on an impromptu date night. It did not disappoint. We were able to get seated right away at the bar top. they're very limited seating however I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and can give you recommendations on what drinks to try based off of your normal flavor profiles that you enjoy, although I did not order food, all of the people around me that did the food smelled amazing and I heard nothing but good things definitely will be back at a later time to try their food items.
I was invited to this establishment for a private event. It provided a quiet loungey aesthetic. The bartenders were extremely knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. The food was delicious couldn't even decide what was our favorite. This is definitely a spot for you if you like high quality cocktails.
Being a huge fan of the Arts District downtown, I was invited by a couple of friends to meet up here for drinks. The bar is somewhat hidden but when you walk in you are transported back to the old school Las Vegas vibe of the 70's. I love the vinyl records being played instead of music being streamed. They feature an entire wall of vinyls and they have some classics. The decor is simple yet inviting. Dim lighting sets the mood for a casual interlude, date night or a gathering with good friends. We sat at the bar and received such excellent service from our bartender. The cocktail menu is vast filled with all of your favorites along with modern variations. I, of course indulged myself by ordering the French 75 cocktail which was fantastic. My friends ordered some small bites, but I just enjoyed my drink. Their small bites looked savory and tasty. At the end of the evening my check was given to me in an old movie DVD case (nice touch). This is a truly a hidden gem that I doubt will stay hidden for long. Parking is paid in the lot next to the bar or street paid parking.
This freaking bar. Holy cow! They deserve all the accolades they're getting and more. Not just from the entities that rate such things, but from the cocktail bar community itself. Cornelius recommended several locations to also check out and each of those locations talked about Nocturno being a great spot as well. When you do a cocktail crawl in the Arts District, and they all speak highly of Nocturno, you know it's not just reviews on apps, or awards issued, but mad respect earned from the community itself. It's about to have its 1 year anniversary, and I recommend a weekday visit as it's not as bumping (yet) as the weekend. Get here now while you can. The cocktail menu can appear overwhelming. It's not. It's a pirates treasure map to cocktail booty. It has the classics, and below each classic, is a family tree of variations. You can also just tell the bartenders to make you something with a frame of reference. Seriously, this spot is an educational experience if you want it to be. I was there on a Tuesday at opening, just my buddy and I at the bar, expecting to spend an hour and change there as we had a crawl planned. 20 minutes in, and I canceled my reservation at the Doberman. An hour in, I canceled the next stop too. We spent about 3 hours at the bar, and let me tell you, Cornelius is a terrific ambassador for the cocktail world in Las Vegas. He seems to know almost everyone, and speaks reverentially of the "competitors" and knows their lineage. I cannot say enough things about this spot, and it's now earned a permanent spot on my annual visit list of things to do.
You can't bring a party larger than 4 but that also plays into the ambience! I felt like I was in a lounge that was locked into a late 70s time capsule. The drinks were amazing as they were craft cocktails made with great ingredients. We tried several different ones. All were great. The service was great and quick. Not only did they educate us on the drinks, they became part of our group at times making our visit here very fun. Food was great. It was served Tapas Style and we all picked from it. I highly recommend this place for a night out for a date or a double date.
Such a great girls night at Nocturno with my friend from college. I walked by it a couple weeks prior to first Friday and said i must go. Then my friend came into town so immediately those this as a dinner destination. The decor is cute but most importantly, the service is so great! The staff is so kind and attentive. The bartenders made me a dry French 75 and espresso martini - I was geeked because when I stopped drinking 5 years ago these weren't my go-tos at all and have obv seen them buzzing even more the lasts few years. The drinks were great. The small plates and big bites were soooo good. Oof the seabasssss. We had the tuna tartare, arancini, and gnocchi as well. The portions are for sharing or solo to be honest. Filled us right up with some leftovers. I brought the chicken home to my man and he tore into for lunch the next day. Preparing to go back as I type. Do not hesitate to go.
I love the arts district and was intrigued by this newer spot. Location - It's accessible from the parking lot area by Doberman and across from 18Bin. Ambiance - I love how sultry it feels with the earthy tones, leather seating, bookshelf, and retro light fixtures. It is perfect for intimate conversations and small groups. Service - You have the option to sit at the bar or reserve one of the perimeter couch tables. I appreciated that we were able to sit at the bar as we waited for our group and they moved our drinks out the table once everyone arrived. The Bartenders and additional servers were kind and helpful. Drinks - I opted for Bartender's choice where they asked questions about the type of drinks you typically order and then they can propose one of their cocktails offered on the menu to try. I ended up getting the Wry Grin and it was perfect. There was a brightness from the lemon and the rye was smooth. Overall, I loved it here and I look forward to going back!
The drinks were very good. I thought they were priced well. It takes a special skill to make these cocktails. The bartenders were amazing. Very quick to help you. As far as the food menu, I felt it was just ok. The atmosphere of the bar was beautiful. Make sure you make a reservation.
Great spot, but a Nocturno was a bit hard to find. Heard a lot of great things about it so decided to give it a go. There were a few dishes that needed a bit more flavor. Like the sea bass, it needed more seasoning or something else to elevate the flavors. The spicy tuna was really good and the ceviche is a must try. It was a bit different to what I'm use to but it was good. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and went great with the Brussels sprouts. Nocturno is sure one to try out.
Beautiful space and ambiance for a night out in DTLV. Bar was decorated for the holidays, which made it feel cozy. Our server was super kind and attentive. Love the selection of more than 120 cocktails, which can sound overwhelming but the staff is super helpful with finding one that works for you. Ordered the seasonal arancini, beef cheek & caviar melt (tasty & warming) & the prosciutto and potato croquette to share for a group of 5 of girls. We had already eaten dinner so we wanted to eat light. For a cocktail, I got the Crimes of Passion, which was fruity & strong. I also got a variation of the espresso martini with banana but I think it could've been even stronger in the banana flavor. Overall, such a fun spot to check out & I look forward to trying more drinks!
I seriously cannot give this place a high enough rating. Everything about it spectacular. From the ambience, the service, the food, it is just TOP notch!! Inside it is a super cozy, retro vibes and very relaxed but classy. Could totally be a date night or a hangout with friends! Our server was AWESOME. They really take the time to go over the menu, your drink flavor preferences, how you want your night to look in terms of drinks and food, everything you could think of! I was absolutely blown away at the attention to detail he gave us and the level of service we got from such a small venue! Also his food recommendations were spot on. Drinks we got the troublemaker, corpse reviver, peach blow fizz and maid. All of them were delicious and crazily they perfectly fit everyone who ordered them! Food wise we got the arancini, spicy tuna, Brussels sprouts and chicken tenders. I am not a chicken tenders girl. Nocturno has changed my mind on that front the breading was flavorful, the tenders were huge and the sauce was awesome. I'm a sucker for a good Arancini and this one was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Even the Brussels sprouts were great! I 10000% would recommend this to anyone who was a great meal for a really decent price!!
I can't get over how much I love Nocturno! I used to think, is it all hype? IT'S NOT. The service is amazing, quick and I can't get over how friendly the bartenders are. They listen to you and will help guide you through the menu. The menu of drinks is absolutely amazing. You think you know what you like, such as a sour, but then the menu list out all the different ways you can make that one sour!! The ambiance is very chill, hip music, elevated but still can come in with jeans and a top. I love it here. OH and the food. PLEASE get the tenders and prosciutto tower like us!

Locate the Art's Square sign and walk toward the double doors straight ahead. The vibes are very intimate, emphasizes the arts, and every bartender and server is very friendly, even the hostess! First off, loved their menu booklet. I learned a lot about different drinks. I also loved that they had pictures that went with their drinks too. Seriously, lots of options! I also loved that they gave us a little card that had their most popular drinks based on taste. Our check came in a DVD plastic too, super nostalgic. I have not seen one of these in forever. Lol My friend and I ordered our first cocktail off this card and they were both incredible. I ordered the Crimes of Passion and she ordered the Dreamsicle. I like my cocktails sweet and these were both great. We ordered truffle fries off their small bites menu, which was enough to hold us over. For the second cocktail, my friend ordered the Nocturno Espresso. She liked it a lot, but it wasn't my preference since it was just a little bitter. I ordered what my bartender recommended me. I mentioned liking sweet drinks and he asked if I liked strawberries to which I replied "of course!" He made me a cocktail named the "Two Step" that I couldn't find on their menu but it was exactly the kind of drink I was looking for. We recommend making reservations. We tried to walk-in one night and they had a 30 minute wait, so we ended up booking a reservation on OpenTable for another day. They only take reservations for 6 people or less, this place is intimate after all. Looking forward to stopping in again! read more

During a weekend bar crawl, my friend and I added Nocturno to our list of cocktail bars to try. We sat at the bar but there's plenty of seats available at cozy tables and booths. We were greeted right away by the bartender and selected an espresso martini and Seasonal Fix with vodka. They also have a food menu with a decent selection to choose from. This bar reminds me of a trendy bar in New York or Mexico City. The music is good and the bartenders are friendly and cool to talk to. Our cocktails were crafted fresh and you can tell the bartenders put effort and care into your drinks. I would definitely return to Nocturno to try more cocktails or to try dinner there. read more

Our bartender had very knowledgeable. I am a picky drinker. I couldn't choose what I want because there were 100 cocktails on the menu. He selected the perfect drink for me. Sunflower was soooo good! I loved it instantly. I was surprised the foods were like restaurants quality. I liked PROSCIUTTO TOWER but it was hard to eat. We didn't have a reservation but we could sit down the bar. Few minutes later, whole bar was full. The bar was ever dark but the table area had comfortable lighting. Next time, I prefer to sit the table. read more

Totally different from the former Garden. Nice little joint. Not too formal but not divey either. They kinda gave me a Prowl plus PublicUs plus Good Morning Kitchen vibe-if those 3 establishments had a baby. So that said it reminds me of Pachi Pachi where they're still looking for an identity. BUT don't get me wrong it's a great vibe still and the food and drinks are even better! The food was delectable-we ordered from every category except the desserts. And service was impeccable-boy were they on it! And it was white glove for everyone! read more

We absolutely loved this place! The vibe was great, the drinks were great and the service was even better. They started us with some complimentary champagne for our anniversary. They do serve a side of corn nuts to all the tables which were pretty good.i don't remember the name of the drinks but they were pretty good. This is one of the best bars in the arts district in my opinion. 10/10 recommend. read more

We came in on a whim during cars in the arts and we definitely found a new favorite bar. Saw Yelp say it was dog friendly and they actually are--they put out a water bowl for our dog! The ambiance inside is next level, felt intimate and moody. Service is so so good and friendly while still being very professional and knowledgeable about their menu. We got a beef cheek & caviar melt and it was melt in your mouth. Tiny portion but still loved how it was an elevated twist on a nostalgic item. Drinks were amazing, strong without being too overpowering. read more

What a cute and cozy little place to meet up with friends or have an intimate moment. They have a great and wide selection of cocktails . I went for their Christmas pop up menu but nothing appealed to me (based on ingredients) however , I ordered off the regular menu and was not disappointed. I cannot wait to revisit and try their food. Faith was such a doll and I appreciated her easy going personality and great service . read more
Oh man!!!! What a gem. Stopped by here for a quick drink before going to dinner at a nearby restaurant. It's a lounge with chairs and couches. I had an old fashioned and it was good but it wasn't strong. Service was good. We asked to move from our original seat because the air was blowing strong amd and I personally don't like air blowing on me. I was freezing despite it being hot outside. Love the decor- wall of records. Great spot and can't wait to come back so I could taste their food. read more

Decided to check this bar out since we were at Arts District and it did not disappoint! Their menu is thoughtfully crafted (along with their drinks) and they also give multiple variations that you can order for each drink in case you want something different than what is initially offered. The inside is a vibe with great music and a great ambiance for conversation that a group of friends or a date can always enjoy. Service was great too as well and it felt very welcoming! My partner and I ordered a total of 4 different cocktails and one little appetizer... Appetizers Beef cheek and caviar melt 10/10 great quality bites and the flavor complimented itself so well. Drinks The called shot 10/10 if you're a banana lover. It's so refreshing! Dreamsicle 10/10 dessert drink. Completely blew my mind! Kentucky river (improved whisky cocktail) 9/10 very spirit forward but it was amazing. Cafe con Leche flip 10/10 dessert drink. An elevated version of an espresso martini. I definitely would try the banana version of it next time! I'll definitely be back but this might just become my new favorite bar north of Charleston in the Arts District! read more

My friend made a reservation here for a girls night out Saturday night and it was decorated cutely for Christmas. Place had a nice ambiance with dim lighting and romantic vibes. I think they had around 130-140 drinks to choose from and offered alternatives as well so you will definitely find something you like here. Staff were attentive and helpful. They offer our whole group complimentary champagne to celebrate the birthday girl, which was a nice gesture. Small bites were good too. read more

What a neat spot! Slightly hard to find because there wasn't really a bright sign on the outside of its doors (there is a very subtle neon sign on the exterior but it kind of blends in), but Nocturno is tucked in the back of the small block of businesses which look like artist studios just off First St in the Arts District. The inside decor is a perfect place for a date night or gathering with friends. The cocktail "book" is extensive and I found it neat that they have sections where you can see drinks based on the type of liquor you're wanting to stick to for the night. The food was quite tasty as well for a more cocktail focused location. I got the dirty martini which is basic but was presented beautifully with the blue cheese stuffed olives over ice. Stopped her after a knights game. The chicken strips were okay. I also mentioned I'm allergic to carrots and they still brought out the chicken with a pause of veggies including carrots. The cocktails concept is really cool. There's a book of popular cocktails and how you can upgrade or mix them up. I ordered the tequila version of a French 75 and really liked it. We had noticed everyone had a little glass, we had inquired about it and was told that it was an appetizer drink they gave out as a welcome drink. We had to request it a couple times, so didn't feel all that welcomed. Once we got it though, it was gross... I would like to return and try out other cocktail variations. read more

Everything was top tier and reasonable. Drinks were delicious. Ambiance, perfect for date night. Service was spot on and attentive. My seabass was better then Bobby Flay seabass at half the cost. I'll be back just for that. I highly recommend this place. read more
