Dark Sister was the start of a bar hopping night for us. The witchy vibe was for us and we were so excited to try it. It was a Friday night, and it was pretty crowded. We were luckily able to snag a couch when a group left. It was nice and the ambiance was great. It was dark and moody. And the place was decorated well. The bartenders were nice. Now, the drinks were on the pricier side. They were unique flavors. I can appreciate when a bar experiments with their drinks. They were okay. Overall, happy we tried it.

Dark sister is the place to be for dark vibes and ambiance, however friendly and welcoming. Come by and sit anywhere, servers will come up to you. (This has been my experience the last two times I've been here on both a Friday and Saturday night). Tonight on Friday they even had a live DJ! Haven't tried the food yet, it's more of small bar snacks like pretzels. The drinks were delicious and affordable!

Went for the first time this week. It was around 6 pmish and the it wasn't too busy. Still a good chunk of couches available. I love the witchy vibes and names of the drinks. Everything's so cute. Prices for the drinks are around the $15 range. I will def be back.

Tried this place due to a recommendation from a friend. The atmosphere is in the name it's dark and mysterious. Went on a Friday and there was a dj. I tried one of the drinks recommended by the bar tender and it was really good. To go to the bathroom you do have to go next door.

Finally I could go to this bar. It was nice interior inside the bar. It was super busy on Halloween night. I could order only one drink because it was almost impossible to buy drinks. I got Silent Fog. I don't like gin but this earl gray gin was so good. I liked it. My husband got Whispering Harvest which was good too. I want to visit on the normal day. * Thus bar has only one bathroom for male and female. So it was super long line when I was there.

Always a favorite when we go downtown! The drinks are on theme and delicious! Love this bar!

Such a fun and cool little place! Had a spooky girl's night here during happy hour and it was amazing and so much fun. Service was awesome! In love with the ambience, especially for spooky season. So many areas for photo ops. All cocktails were so good: LoveStruck, Fireside Ritual, Incantation, Whispering Harvest. My LoveStruck cocktail came in a souvenir glass cup, so freaking cute! We didn't read realize this place only had cocktails and no food, so make sure to eat or grab a snack before stopping in. Found parking on the street and paid $9 for 3 hours of parking. Would come here again!

I love the decor in here, my drink I got was yummy, and they played great music. We actually commented on how the music was at a perfect level-loud enough but not so loud we couldn't enjoy each other company. The service was standard, took a little while to get drinks but I'd def come back. I have a feeling they have a rotating menu so I'd be excited to see what they have next time.

This bar has been on my list for some time and I finally got to stop in for their happy hour. I will say the sage on sunset was delicious and I truly enjoyed the cocktail , it was mixed together very well. I like the decor and overall vibe of the place. Unfortunately, I was not greeted not once when I first arrived , the whole time I took videos and photos no one approached me or asked if I would like a menu. Once my friends and I sat down it took a while for someone to come over. Wasn't very welcoming . I really wanted to enjoy this place more than I did. The 3 stars are for the cocktail and price.

I had really high hopes for this bar and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The first time I went here, in April, they were open, but when I went to the front door - it was locked? And no one was in sight. Very odd. Fast forward to last night, I finally decided to give this place a try and head in for a quick drink. First impression: love the decor, smells incredible! Definitely on theme. The music they were playing? A bit random? I think they were playing Sabrina Carpenter which was an interesting choice but not horrible. This isn't a dig but a very important observation; when I sat at the bar, (I'm 5'1) the bar top was level with my shoulders. I barely could see/place my arms over the bar. The man who greeted me was polite but wasn't super helpful. He just gave me a menu and then asked if I was ready to order. Once I found the drink I wanted (my liquor of choice is gin and they only had 2 options) I ordered the Malaya Exchange. Before the drink was even made, the man behind the bar asked if I was opening a tab or closing and I paid before I received the drink. Very odd and not the most professional in my opinion? Another woman came from the back of the bar and he asked her to make my drink. She was very nice and the drink was gorgeous. I personally did not like the drink. It tasted like juice? Not saying I wanted to have a straight up shot of liquor but maybe the flavor profile of this drink was a little too strong (it's lemongrass based). All in all. I don't think I'd come back.. I've never been here before and didn't feel very welcome, no one explained the menu or helped with drink selection/options and paying for a service before receiving it? Especially at a bar? It's a no for me. Bummer because this place seemed super cool!

Walking in here feels like the darkest part of heaven and I stand on that. Smells AMAZING and the decor is beautiful. Such an oxymoron of a bar as far as placement but it's exactly where it needs to be if that makes sense. I came here to meet up with someone and we just happened to come here after getting $10 tattoos around the way. I ordered "from the ashes" (not pictured). And I ordered it twice but ended up getting a Devils Dance for my second drink and what a happy fkn accident!! It was so good. The Ashes drink also amazing. Mezcal with a smoky chipotle salt rim. My friend got a campfire drink (pictured). I tried that and WOW. Immaculate. Very well made cocktails and the female bartender was also cute AF. Didn't get her name but she's amazing. Shoutout to her and her skills. 10/10 recommend and I'll be back

Easily one of my favorite newer bars in the arts district. From the moment you step inside, the decor is decked out in full moody and apothecary charm. Every time I've been I was waited on shortly after seating and asked if I had any questions about the menu. I love that the menu rotates seasonally, which gives me something to look forward to. Whenever I have friends come to visit, I make sure to bring them here and they all love it! They also have a great happy hour menu!

First off let me get this out the way right neowwww. The cocktails are excellent, crafted very well, innovative, and STIFF! There wasn't a single cocktail that i did not like. Now lets get to the review! The overall vibe of this lounge gives apothecary or a term dubbed The New Orleans Goth. Yes gworl... there is a difference between regular goth aesthetic vs New Orleans Goth. The New Orleans variation blends elements of the original goth aesthetic with the unique culture and influences of New Orleans. New Orleans goth is more Voodoo centered, decorated with dark drapery, black lace, reminiscent of the Old-World vintage style. When you pop in, take a minute to look to the left of the entrance and you will notice a Tarot card reader. The price is twenty dollars per reading. Take a minute to look to the right of the entrance and you will notice a live DJ. The seating is plentiful and the furniture is so comfy. Every staff member I encountered were extremely nice and helpful. They even took our orders at the table we were sitting at so we didn't have to order at the bar! I definitely recommend!

Cornelius recommended several locations to also check out and each of those locations talked about Nocturno being a great spot as well. When you do a cocktail crawl in the Arts District, and they all speak highly of Nocturno, you know it's not just reviews on apps, or awards issued, but mad respect earned from the community itself. It's about to have its 1 year anniversary, and I recommend a weekday visit as it's not as bumping (yet) as the weekend. Get here now while you can. The cocktail menu can appear overwhelming. It's not. It's a pirates treasure map to cocktail booty. It has the classics, and below each classic, is a family tree of variations. You can also just tell the bartenders to make you something with a frame of reference. Seriously, this spot is an educational experience if you want it to be. I was there on a Tuesday at opening, just my buddy and I at the bar, expecting to spend an hour and change there as we had a crawl planned. 20 minutes in, and I canceled my reservation at the Doberman. An hour in, I canceled the next stop too. We spent about 3 hours at the bar, and let me tell you, Cornelius is a terrific ambassador for the cocktail world in Las Vegas. He seems to know almost everyone, and speaks reverentially of the "competitors" and knows their lineage. I cannot say enough things about this spot, and it's now earned a permanent spot on my annual visit list of things to do.

It is now part of the routine when I'm in Vegas. First thing that jumped out (other that the incredible ambiance) was the excellent choice of spirits for their drinks - utilizing funky rums, mezcals etc. The drinks struck the perfect balance of creative and fun but still well executed (dilution and temperature). The drinks are tasty but still have personality and a perspective. You can tell by the drink names in conjunction with tasting them - that the Prowl team take what they do seriously without taking themselves too seriously. No pretentious mixology nonsense. The drinks were all good, and thankfully they have non-alcoholic versions for many of their drinks. No complaints on any of them, they were exactly what we were looking for. I will say the prices are a little steep, but this isn't someplace you are likely to come to on a regular basis, so I can excuse it. The only hint I'll give is that it's located on the casino floor. When we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess. She asked us if we had reservations or were walking in. I really appreciated this because the way she phrased her question told me they had availability and we would be granted entry. The bar is very small and seats about 30. Reservations are strongly encouraged, however we went on a Monday in February. If you're going on a weeknight during off peak season, you should be okay without a reservation. The hostess gave us the option of sitting at the bar or at a table. We asked her for her rec and she said the bar so that's what we chose. The decor is beautiful. The ambiance is dark and moody. It's perfect for a date night. We were greeted by both bartenders. I believe the bartender that made our drinks was Rory. He was very nice and knowledgeable about cocktails. He was able to answer our questions and make suggestions based on our preferences. As we browsed the menu, we were presented with welcome drinks in a fancy smoky container. I don't recall the name of the drink, but it had a lychee flavor with a sugar rim and it was good! Drinks are extremely pricey which is to be expected in Vegas. It's also on par based on where the speakeasy is located (hint hint). The cheapest cocktail was $30 so prepare yourself for the sticker shock. Some drinks were $80-$100! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. I went with the Velvet Moon which was an interesting cocktail consisting of both gin and mezcal. It had flavors of hibiscus and it also had egg white which I absolutely love! The presentation was beautiful and I really enjoyed it! My friend went with the Basilico Bliss which he enjoyed. I didn't try any, but it looked really good. As we were enjoying our drinks, the staff presented us with savory bar snacks. They were tasty and were a perfect compliment to our cocktails. They do have food on the menu, but we had already eaten so we stuck with our complimentary snacks. As we were closing out, the staff presented us with a complimentary mini dessert. Rory described it as a Carajillo Jello shot. I don't like jello (I hate the texture), but I do love Carajillos. My friend does not drink coffee and does not like coffee flavor, so I ate both of them. They were so delicious (but the texture was off putting lol). I typically don't mention the restrooms in my reviews, but this one is worth mentioning. All I have to say is heated seats with a bidet! We really enjoyed our visit. Had the drinks not been so pricey, we probably would have stayed longer. If you enjoy speakeasies and/or craft cocktails, go have a drink at The Vault! The experience alone is worth it!
