Cute spot newly renovated but the cocktail (cocomut one) was extremely sweet. I had to get a glass of tequila from the casino floor to balance it out.

Tiki Tango

I give this place 5/5!! Our server, Joselito, was awesome!! Drinks are strong, my husband ordered the Tiki tango, which was good, and you keep the cup for souvenir. Joseliro gave us some bar treats which were so tasty, nice and salty. Ambiance is cool, have good music playing. Smells like cigarette but that's entire casino. I'd come back. We actually came here, and Joselito was not working. The service was not the same. Shot out to Joselito!!

The atmosphere inside is simply top notch, its themed head to toe and for me personally, I always love a place that's well themed. We went in without a reservation and they managed to squeeze us into a table, we were served by a very friendly waitress who had good recommendations and was overall very attentive. The drinks were all good, and thankfully they have non-alcoholic versions for many of their drinks. No complaints on any of them, they were exactly what we were looking for. I will say the prices are a little steep, but this isn't someplace you are likely to come to on a regular basis, so I can excuse it. (And if you do like the vibe and come often, you can always get non tiki drinks cheaper.) Overall very very fun, wish we had come a little later because their was a band that was setting up and got maybe three songs in before we left, but they sounded pretty good!

TIKI OASIS!!! YES, PLEASE!…read more This place is a favorite of mine and always will be. The decor is beautiful, intriguing, and like I have entered a bar version of The Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland (but for adults). All around this place has so much to look at; it's amazing. Drinks are yummy and beautiful here. They even have a nice food menu where you can get some things like coconut shrimp to pair with your tropical drinks. They do have the famous Dole Whip here. They also have a happy hour during weekdays from 3-6 pm I think (don't quote me on this exactly LOL). It's often busy so if you want a table, I recommend making a reservation. Service is always nice and friendly. It's a beautiful place for a drink, to hangout with friends, or show someone while they are visiting Vegas. Best bar in town for decor!!!

Welcome to Frankie's Tiki Room…read more This Iconic Tiki bar on Charleston Blvd/Shadow Ln on the east side of Downtown Las Vegas. It's the world's only 24 hour Tiki Bar, opening its doors in December of 2008, nearly 18 full years ago. It has a spacious but limited parking lot, bright neon sign, cool outside entrance and even more wonder inside. True to tiki decor with island themed fixtures, tables, patterns, seating and ambiance. Hints of surfing culture, rockabilly and retro. Perfect signature original or classic tiki drinks via their menu as well as full bar, soft drinks and beer. The Makalele Knockout is probably one of my personal favs with rum(s), lime, hibiscus and a incredible blend of flavors. However the Tiki Bandit, Frankiestein, Dr No, ScruV and numerous others might speak to you. I've been to Frankie's a few times about 10 years ago, so it was nice to stop in with a group of buds and share some convo as well as meet up with my oldest best friend and her wife, who ironically is who I came to Frankie's with those first times a decade ago. All tiki drinks are currently $15 and well worth it. You're able to drink, gamble (at the bar), smoke, converse, sway (good music) but limited space and enjoy the night or day away. Seating goes quick at night, especially on weekends, but arriving earlier (before 8pm) can help. Sometimes tables, seats and areas open up faster if you're patient. All the staff, including the bartenders and door guy are thoughtful and personable. We eventually got part of the area that's slightly enclosed with a great view of the entire bar especially being a group of 6 to 8 at once point. High recommend.

I have been to Frankie's may times over the years and every time I go, it continues to impress. Their prices are reasonable, their drinks are stout and delicious and the bartenders are always great. We came in tonight for one drink and that is what we had, one drink each. The Jet Pilot is delicious as is the scorpion. The interior decor is amazing, very tiki and dimly lit. I prefer this place to Golden Tiki, as there are no time limits enforced on how long you can stay. Simply put, Frankie's is an outstanding tiki bar with outstanding drinks. If you're into the tiki vibe or all things tiki, this should be on your list of places to frequent.

Painted portraits of dogs in pirate themed costumes. Inside they're going for hull-of-a-ship vibe with fake windows to screens of an undersea scene, complete with sharks and squid swimming by ominously. The two bathrooms are quite different, one with tons more dog portraits, one with some ropes tied into very funny shapes. Parked right outside on a Tuesday evening around 9:30pm. It's paid parking until 10pm. Only a couple other people there when we arrived, by the time we left about an hour later there were another 10-15 there. Server was friendly and very confident in his recommendations. * Goonies Never Say Die - 4 stars. Recommended by server to my partner. Boozy and citrusy with some spice. Didn't blow his socks off but competent and tasty. * Saturn - 4 stars. Recommended by server. Not too booze-forward, refreshing, citrusy, just like I asked for. * Million Doubloons - 3.5 stars. Saw a drink with egg white, my fave, and had to get it. Nice, sweeter than I thought it would be. $55 total for 3 drinks.

We walked past this place shortly after checking in and made it a must do as we have visited other tiki bars and loved them. The esthetic here is great! Love the wall cup display, the art, the fabric on the chairs, the monkey statue outside the entrance....all of the ambiance was great!........ EXCEPT THE MUSIC‍ it was all we could talk about sitting in there was how off putting it was and did not go with the vibe AT ALL. It totally killed the whole thing. After reading James' review I couldn't agree with him more! This is basically a facade of a tiki bar. My sister's drink was disgusting and tasted metallic. She wouldn't even drink it. We could have considered sending it back but we got there at 11:15 and they close at midnight ( lame) and as soon as our drinks were brought to us they asked if we wanted anything for last call so there was no time to ask for something else Such a shame because we were really excited to find this place and made it a point to go. Great concept....terrible execution and for goodness sake CHANGE THE PLAYLIST! That might make a huge difference in the experience and make it more enjoyable. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is the cups and decore really were nice!

I understand when a place is busy--but being busy shouldn't mean being ignored. We sat at the bar for about 15 minutes without a single acknowledgment. We decided to give it 5 more minutes before leaving, and finally at around 18 minutes, a bartender came over to take our order. Unfortunately, the experience didn't improve from there. Our food came out before our drinks, which already felt off. After finally getting our drinks and finishing them, we waited to order another round--but again, no acknowledgment. Meanwhile, multiple new guests came up to the bar and were helped before us. At one point, we were told "I'll be right with you," but then watched as they helped several other people, poured drinks, and even took shots with coworkers while continuing to ignore us. We kept getting the "two minutes" hand signal, but no follow-through. Eventually, I had to go to the well to ask for our tab. I was told "no problem," but then stood there for another 5 minutes while the bartender walked around helping others before finally getting it for me. It wasn't just slow--it felt dismissive and frustrating. I've had good experiences here before, which made this even more disappointing. Hoping this was just an off night, but something definitely needs to improve with service and awareness.

Decided to check out Petrol Head with some friends this past Sunday for an early dinner at 5PM…read more There were five us total and when we walked in, we were able to sit anywhere we liked. They weren't busy at all, which is expected. Since there were five of us, we did try a good portion of their menu, including drinks. There were food items that weren't available that night since they were revamping their menu, which is a bit unfortunate. From the drinks menu: Pink Slip - Light and refreshing with a tad of fruitiness. Orange Overdrive - Lighter and more tropical version of a Mai Tai. Octane Fluff - Smooth and silky with a bit of sweetness. Pit Lane Passion - Fruity Petal to the Metal - Refreshing and sweet, the Kettle One Botanicals gives it a nice floral element Tokyo Drift - Strong, grassy, and gritty. My favorite out of all the drinks was the Octane Fluff. It was super delicious and the toasted marshmallow was a nice added touch. My least favorite was the Tokyo Drift -- it had Rihei (ginger sochu), citrus, layered matcha, and apple sake. While it sounded very interesting and looked amazing, it had plenty of potential but unfortunately, I don't think it was executed that well. The matcha used was really grassy and gritty -- I've actually never had matcha that tasted like grass before but whichever one they used, it sure did. The Rihei was far too strong and did not mesh well at all with the matcha. The apple sake was just there. It was like drinking three separate drinks but all at once. From the food menu: Japanese cucumber salad - tangy, refreshing, and slightly spicy. OG burger - delicious, plenty of flavor, and the fries were really good. Japanese curry fries - curry had great flavor but I did wish it had some meat. Wings - we tried both the guava heat and the miso honey. The guava heat was my favorite, it was sweet with a small kick. Their wings were juicy and super plump, which was great. Shoyu butter pretzel - pretty normal. Nothing special to be honest. Service is a tad slow mainly because the establishment started to fill up and they don't have a dedicated server to the tables. It was fine for us but if you get impatient, that is something to note. Prices are reasonable for the food but it is a tad high for the drinks. They do have a happy hour as well but it doesn't start until 11PM, which is super unfortunately. I would love to see a reverse happy hour sometime for them cause I simply cannot eat that late. I'm honestly pretty impressed with our first visit. It's very rare where I find a bar where I like almost all the food AND the drinks. Everyone in my party would agree as well. They are actually expanding their hours to include brunch on Saturday and Sundays. We can't wait to go back again. Definitely recommend.
