Okay so I recently went to Wax Rabbit on a Thursday. There was a DJ on the tracks, playing vinyls. Like cmon you don't see that too often anymore. The music selection the whole night were def my vibes- especially if you're into R&B, early 2000s music! All of the drinks were delish! If you like tequila, this place is for you. Every drink I tried was hella good. I really liked the mexicandy shot I believe? I think that's what it's called- could really have 5 of them lol. This has to be one of the best places I've been! I went here for my birthday and from the very beginning I could give it nothing but a 10/10! The dj was amazing! The vinyls with a perfect r&b vibe literally felt like my own playlist! The drinks were spectacular even got a couple shots from the dj because we were dancing the night away and a candy shot from the bar since it was my bday! I'd go back over and over! And the service phenomenal even after we stopped getting drinks the servers would bring us water as other people bought us drinks. Very stylish, hip music, and expensive drinks that deliver. The decor is very dark as a speakeasy should be. Rabbit statues all over the place. Very trails forward speakeasy as it is inside the entrance to Mijo. The door guy was friendly and got us in without much fanfare, but this was an early seating. I went here for my homegirl's birthday, and it was so great. It matched the vibe heavily to what we needed to do to have a good time and turn up as two single ladies in the city. The place was very red warm soultry coded. And this is a place where you can definitely put on your best fit with the heels and have a two step all night place. Our waitress was so attentive as we were getting attention so we were getting drinks, of course. But anytime someone would buy us a drink. She would bring us some water and I thought that was very kind of her. Honestly, we made it out because of her so she know who she is so I don't remember her name, but she was awesome. Literally was on our way to the restroom when we saw the sign for this speakeasy. I had to go! Such a cute spot. No need to go to the strip to enjoy the same thing. Speakeasy at the Durango inside Mijo's Modern Mexican Restaurant. Not easily hidden. You see the sign from the hallway. Someone will open the 'door' for you to enter behind a wall of alcohol. It's a small space inside with the deejay straight ahead, bar to the right, booths to the left, and tables in the center. Has a dim upscale red and black romantic seduction/halloween/devil type of lighting. We sat at the bar and ordered an Espresso Martini and Wax Rabbit Old Fashioned. The martini was strong in alcohol that it sneaks up on you while all to taste was just the coffee at first. The Old Fashioned was interesting because it came off as sweet. Would have loved to get a second drink but we were too full from eating at Mijo's. I'm starting to like more venues off strip, it's not so crowded and you get a good mix of locals or guests that stay at Durango. The drinks are a few bucks cheaper too! read more

Was a little awkward because you're on top of everyone especially if people are sitting at tables they were very low to the ground so you are standing over them. The music was good! It's hidden inside a restaurant, and we walked past it twice before a bartender directed us through a trippy hallway of mirrors-- think Pee Wee's Playhouse meets bougie speakeasy. Cute ... I guess. Suddenly, a bouncer appeared outta nowhere like David Blaine and scared the F@Ck outta me!! I screamed. Very f@cking Loudly. My Gangsta card? Reeeeeeevoked. But we laughed, & he let us in. Inside's tiny--ohhhhh chilllle. Shes virgin small. 1,000 sq ft--but cozy in that "I'm cooler than I actually am" way. Designed by a fancy Italian-Canadian named Alessandro Munge, and yeah, it's giving seductive-lounge realness. Diverse as hell. Wildly fun. My brother? Thriving. My man was Talking to strangers, dancing like yard work never existed. I clapped. Like a Tiger Woods golf clap. Everything was cool until... Bartender bias? WEAK AS F@CK. I got quick service all night but my tomboyish bestie got ignored repeatedly. When her femme-presenting girl went up? Immediate service. Nah fam. If you disrespect my crew, you don't get my coin. Also, the drink prices? Confusing AF. 1 Long Island & a mocktail = $29. Later, 1 Long Island = $20. The math? TWAS Not mathing. Drinks were cool, but we didn't try the flashy $30 mezcal showstoppers they're known for. Maybe next time when I bring my sugar daddies .... yes plural bih.... All said, we had a blast. This is a swanky little spot that seemed to get busy after 10pm. I would have given 5 stars but the drink prices are a bit high here.

As locals who have worked in the Vegas nightlife scene for nearly two decades, we were deeply disappointed by the service we experienced. Despite ordering multiple rounds of drinks for a group of 8, priced at $20 each, Veronica refused to provide us with 2 cups of water. We were told to purchase bottled water or leave and get it from the casino bar. The bartender's behavior was unprofessional and juvenile as she laughed and pointed at us, as we just sat there at the bar silent. It was very confusing behavior. The bartender who Veronica was laughing with even called security to have me removed, showing a clear power trip. Thankfully, the security personnel and the manager were understanding and recognized that I was sober and simply wanted a water for my pregnant friend and I. The manager was very gracious, inviting us to return, provided us water and assured us that the issue would be addressed. While we appreciate the manager's efforts, the overall experience left a bad taste. The cocktails were mediocre, and with such poor service, we won't be returning or recommending this bar. Losing future business from eight people over a cup of water seems hardly worth it, and it's clear they need to better understand their clientele. Vegas has too many great spots to settle for one that treats locals poorly. read more

First time here with my girls on Valentine's night. Had such a blast and the ambiance was sexy and intimate. Loved the DJ spinning music I can understand and dance to. Yup, I'm an old lady and the music last night was a good mixture from the 2000s. Service was prompt and bartender was really helpful about our drink choices. Will definitely try out some of the signature cocktails next time around. Didn't get a chance to try the food though. Only reason I deducted one star is because I couldn't find any info on dress code, pricing, or events online. When you click on the link, it only gives you a page to make a reservation. I get it. The coolest speakeasy inside Mijo! My friend and I walked in on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy which was nice. The bouncer was super nice and not a jerk like some of the ones I've met, especially on the strip. I went to the restroom and when I came back he even remembered me and welcomed me back. We were at the bar but wanted to get a bottle of champagne so asked if there were any tables we could sit at and they sat us at a tiny corner spot by the DJ booth. Jess our cocktail server was so fun and personable delivering great service with a smile which is rare these days. She brought out our bottle of Moet with sparklers which made the experience so fun and the birthday celebration even more memorable. One of the best speakeasies for locals. It's located near Mijo entrance. Space is decent but you might have to reserve if you have a big group. Love love the atmosphere. So fancy. Such a perfect place to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night. They sometimes have a DJ later at night. Drinks were perfect. They made perfect expresso martinis for my friends! I visited back in October for a private event and it's very cool. Finding the entrance to get into the speakeasy is fun. Great ambiance, and since it was Halloween it had spooky decor. Speakeasy alert! This was a really neat speakeasy located behind a huge bookshelf near the entrance of Mijo. It's a tequila based bar. There's plenty of tables to reserve if you're willing to pay for a little more or you could sit around the bar. It's very dim inside which would be a great date spot or even a place to catch up with friends. Although the menu is limited, they actually have a bigger alcohol selection if you let your bartender know what kind of drink you'd like. You can even substitute the tequila in the menu drinks. My favorite is their espresso martini. The price point of their drinks were fair around $18-20 average per drink. It does get busy on a Saturday night since everyone started crowding around the bar area as there were no seats available. read more

Absolutely love this place. My favorite off strip bar. Been twice now and the vibes are great. The space is small but they maximize the bar and seating area well still. The security is welcoming and professional. The female bartenders are attentive and friendly (unlike the ones at Bel Aire) Jess was our server one night and was fantastic. Loved her! When they brought out orange slices as chasers, we knew they were experts in their tequila/mezcal. Jess took amazing care of us the entire night and we couldn't be more grateful. OH MY GOSH! Vegas's best speakeasy. By far this place has the best vibes compared to any other in Vegas. Jess was our server was absolutely amazing. For a Halloween night, I am so impressed with how fast she was. And the bartender Lola was mixing the best drinks. Normally I stick to whisky drinks, but I was HOOKED on the tequila espresso martinis. For sure if you aren't sure about tequila you have to try any recommendations or mixed drinks at this bar. Let's start by saying you may want to make a reservation for here because on a Thursday night this place was PACKED! We had to do standing room only and hope to snag a spot at the bar. Now that being said, the bartenders were SUPER fast! They easily got everyone drinks, made sure everyone had a top off, and were standing attentively waiting for whoever needed more. Definitely 5 stars to them!! I wanted to specifically try their specialty cocktails so I got: The Cloudkicker: I'll be real in saying the taste wasn't amazing I tried it with and without the cotton candy add in and it was just super sweet overall. I think the melon was just very overpowering which made it hard to drink. Wax Rabbit Old Fashioned: it's a decent old fashioned. It was kind of light for the price you're paying for it, definitely paying for presentation. Overall my big notes are that unlike most speakeasies I've been to, this felt like a club. The music was super loud to where we were yelling to talk to each other. If that's your vibe, totally cool! Just not what I was going for when I picked a speakeasy to visit. It very hard to find place the outside is all mirroired so when you walk to the front door you will not find a door and of course there ia door man once inside its packed . I found the place is too crumpt, too many people. You need to reserve a table if you are coming in without out table reservation you have to stand up at the bar which is packed full. I ordered dirty martin! Which was pretty good and the services pretty good but a bit long wait because they are always busy! The layout of the bar is pretty good nothing special. The music they play is not too loud and they night I was there they had a DJ. Giving this place a one star review. If I could give it a zero, I would. Super disappointed with the service. Currently writing this review since there was no honesty from the employees and we kept getting brushed off. We went here to celebrate a friends birthday and he wanted to check it out. We checked in with one of the guys in the front since they weren't answering their phones. Gentleman told us that we could get in and to also email the vip email that was provided to us to get in at a certain time. We did. We showed up for our time and kept getting ignored by everyone in the front for at least 20 minutes. Finally one of the workers acknowledged us after letting so many people in that didn't have a reservation. He told us that since we had an email reservation, we had priority. Stated to the gentleman that we weren't acknowledged and he said we were about to go in. Waited another 15 minutes after that. Ended up leaving. WORST SERVICE. Do better at a new casino. What's the point of having a phone number to call for reservation if you don't answer and what's the point of providing the email if you're going to ignore us. Definitely disappointed.
