Last Friday night, I had friends visiting from California, and like all questionable-but-memorable Vegas decisions, we somehow wandered into Azul Lounge at the Fontainebleau on the north end of the Strip. We weren't planning on it -- but honestly, that's how you know it's going to be a good story. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by live karaoke. And let me tell you, Azul doesn't play around -- they've got a whole list of songs you can choose from. Everything from classics to guilty‑pleasure bangers. In our group, we had one friend who took karaoke way too seriously (every group has that one person), and another who sang like they were auditioning for a talent show that didn't exist. It was perfect. The lounge wasn't crowded at all, which for us was a dream. We're not trying to fight through a crowd or yell over a DJ who thinks volume equals talent. Azul gave us space to breathe, laugh, and enjoy the chaos of our own friend group without an audience. Drink-wise, one of my friends went full Vegas mode and ordered a tequila flight -- because apparently that's who he becomes on vacation. Meanwhile, I stayed loyal to my Belvedere and cranberry like the responsible adult I pretend to be. Both choices were solid. The vibe is moody, intimate, and effortlessly cool -- dim lighting, comfy seating, and a chill atmosphere that feels like a secret hideout from the Strip's usual madness. It's the kind of place where you can actually hear your friends talk... unless they're singing karaoke, in which case all bets are off. If you're looking for a fun, relaxed spot with good drinks, space to breathe, and karaoke that ranges from "wow, they're good" to "wow... they tried," Azul is absolutely worth checking out. We walked in by accident, but we stayed on purpose -- and we'd definitely go back. read more

Back again since we had $100 dining credit with friends in town at Fontainebleau which ended up not working somehow so used it at Komodo which has amazing desserts. Surprisingly cocktails were priced the same for the Christmas cocktails since last year too of around $21-$27. The holiday decor is beautiful and festive. This would be a great setting to host events like a paint and wine night. Can't go wrong with the $21 Ponche Navidad although too much citrus in mine. It was mostly empty inside around 11pm so asked the DJ if he takes song requests which he does with tips. They don't serve food here however I was in Vegas for a work meeting and the girls wanted to grab a drink here before our awards night. The ambiance is definitely so cute!!!! Very aesthetic!! The service was impeccable but again we were some of the few people in the bar at that time. The waiter was very nice and gave us ice waters to go for our rooms. Decided to try this bar out on a random Friday night. Due to the holidays, the ambiance was holiday themed with Christmas decor all over and holiday focused cocktail menu. The bartender was nice enough to share some recommendations however the drinks were all too sweet. I was amazed Azul wasn't as packed with the ambiance and DJ. However I think the limited holiday menu could attribute to the lack of customers. I ordered something that was not on the holiday menu due to the sweetness and so did my friend. The drinks were alright. Nothing special. For a tequila based bar, I was surprised at the lack of variety. We absolutely love coming here every time we visit Vegas. That being said we always show up right when they open and we are typically one of a few groups in the lounge so our service is always stellar. We love talking to all of the mixologists there and their knowledge of tequilas/mezcal is on point. This last time we ordered different drinks than our normal go to's and they did NOT disappoint. Texico- this one is more on the sweeter side with dried apples and a refreshing taste. Jade Rabbit- this one was a highlight. The egg white foam on top was so creamy and the drink itself was light. Coyote- a version of a spicy margarita. Nothing fancy but if you don't want to venture out of your original box this is a good one. Valencia- light up glass that highlights the blue! Ambiance of the bar during Christmas time is delightful and cocktails are tasty. But outside of that I'd stay away. Had drinks here last night and the service was slow for the amount of people that were in the bar. Across the hall there is a pastry shop, i ask my waitress if it's still open i wanted to grab something while we were drinking she said yes it's 24hrs. I proceeded to go get a danish for me and macarons for my lady as we were both having espresso martinis. Get back to the table and take a bite for the front desk host / manager? (Shorter bald guy) to come over to the table and say there's no outside food allowed. Even tho he definitely just watched me walk by him with it in my hands and the server didn't say anything about it and pointed me in the right direction. "I can hold it at the front for you" like no sir you may not hold my bitten danish and macaroons but i just won't eat it. He follows with saying there's server didn't say i could eat there as if i didn't just have a whole conversation with the server about i was getting ready to do. We put the food aside annoyed and said whatever let's have another drink. You may miss it because the back of it faces the way when you come from front desk and the signage isnt clear. -1 because first bartender when my group sat at the bar straight up lied saying their locals BOGO special "ended yesterday" when I asked about it. Decided to sit elsewhere and Victor was much more helpful and pleasant Plenty of comfortable seating and they had a great band playing. Cocktails are interesting and was strong. We were getting ready to leave Fontainebleau but decided for a quick stop into Azul. It was the best thing about our visit to this new property. We grabbed two seats at the bar and took a look at their cocktails. One confusing thing was that one of our menus priced everything at $19 and one at $21. I ordered the Last Calvary which was bourbon and kahlua based and very good. The bartender was very nice and explained some of the different tequilas that they had on hand to my partner. There was another bartender that joined during our visit that was also very nice and seemed to know some other patrons from their previous job on the strip. Fontainebleau seems to have poached some great employees from other establishments! As we were leaving it seemed to start picking up a bit. This year my friends and I have been visiting the few holiday themed bars in the valley and Azul happened to be one of them. We loved the ambiance and the Christmas decorations were perfect. The DJ was playing a mix of Christmas and dance music. It was all so great! Sadly, the drinks were subpar. Some of us didn't even bother finishing them. I ordered the Ponche Navidad and it had, to put it nicely, an interesting taste. The flavors didn't complimented each other at all. Their old fashions were way too sweet and they either used the wrong cherries OR cheap cherries. Nobody liked El Jefe which was basically their take on the classic espresso martini. The best drink of the night was probably the Nutcracker, which included a tasty chocolate peppermint bark. It was still a little too sweet but it was tolerable. Honestly, we couldn't figure this place out as the bartenders had all the right components but weren't able to make great cocktails. Perhaps they need to make some revisions to the ingredients they're using for the holiday drinks. We've also heard of some not so great things about the service here and quickly realized when we got there that there is only 1 server for the entire lounge. Being understaffed is definitely not their fault and they tried their best when we were there, which we really appreciated. Still debating if we should return. This place is so promising, but it seems whoever is managing Azul is totally squandering its potential. read more

We were greeted at the entrance then led to a nice and cozy table at the end corner of the lounge which was good because we had an unobstructed view of the whole place. We were immediately served waters and corn snacks. The drinks didn't take ages to get prepared. It's beautifully decorated. The furniture look expensive and perfect for the place. It's a lounge so it's not bright. The only thing that I'd recommend would be to lower the volume of the music. Oh, they don't serve food at all. While exploring Fountainbleu, we saw there was a mezcal bar and had to try it. On Saturday evening there were plenty of seats at the bar. We were welcomed in, offered waters immediately, and given menus of both cocktails and spirits. We were given two different menus - one with drinks and spirits and one with drinks and wine/beer. The prices of the drinks were different menu to menu for seemingly the exact same drink ($21 vs $19). Not a huge difference, but still odd for a restaurant that has been open for less than a year. I am guessing it's weekend vs weekday maybe(?). We were charged the $21 price. I had the Valencia which was very good. The bartenders were very knowledgeable of the drinks and were able to make recommendations. read more

Azul is a fantastic date night spot for an after-dinner vibe at The Fontainebleau. It was quiet at 9pm on a Sunday night in January, but I'm confident this place will be a hotspot come Summer 2024! They featured a live DJ mixing hip hop throwbacks, creating a lively atmosphere for anyone (we're 26 & 31 years old). The tables were arranged with lounge seating, naturally sectioning off booths for an intimate and upbeat setting. Of course, there was a bar to go up to as well. Both cocktails tasted high quality and well-crafted. It was a delightful surprise that the Blue Glow cocktail was quite literally glowing! The snacks to nibble on with our drinks were a nice touch as well. Service was a bit slower than expected, considering we were their only customers at the time, but I like to give them the benefit of the doubt as a newer establishment. I'll happily recommend Azul to anyone looking for a cool lounge at the north end of the Strip. read more

Came here on a Sunday night. Wanted to check out this newly open tequila bar in the Fontainebleau. The bar itself.is nice inside and has an great section of tequila, and mezcal. Customer service. Was good and the drinks where good. The thing that was a big disappoint was that they have tequilas list on their menu that they don,t even have in the bar yet the place is newly open for a few days, whn we ask the bartender he did not have any knowledge of the tequila, so we had to wait for the manager that said they have not received it from the warehouse. For now this place is not going to be my in my top 5 places to go iif I'm down on the strip. read more

We went with a group of 8 people. They provided us a nice comfy section of the lounge. Ambiance is dark and trendy. Seating is comfortable. Music is not too loud. Nice place to chill and relax and be able to talk without it being so loud. Our group has the Tequila flight tasting. Service was great, our waitress also recommended other drinks which were good. I've been to Azul a handful of times - most recently during their Christmas pop up! I've always had a pleasant experience with friendly staff and service, great drinks, music and ambiance. Brie, the manager, always seems to greet us and talk to other guests to inquire about their experience and make sure everyone is having a good time. It was a little hard to find at first but now I just park at the valet off Elvis Presley to make it easier :) Will be back next time I visit FontaineBleau! read more

Me and my friend went to this bar on Christmas eve 2024. The drinks were mediocre we each had one. I had the margarita and my friend had one of the flights. There was one waitress that night thats probably why she didn't check on us she was busy. When we were ready to pay for our drink we had to wave to her to get her attention. Alexia think was her name. What I was confused about why I was charged $72 for both drinks but told the waitress to give us seperate checks. She even gave us two receipts. On my receipt total was for $28 and my friend's receipt was total of $35. But on my bank statement appeared that she charged me $72. I had to dispute this with 2 different managers and received my refund for the difference 4 days later. I definitely do not recommend this bar. It is shady. Be wary. read more

I've been here twice and the lounge is absolutely beautiful. We tried several drinks that were all good, but awful loud mix of Latin and hip-hop on the small speakers sounded terrible and ruined our experience that made our groups leave. This is not a nightclub. I think the DJ's are unnecessary for this lounge and it would be better with some chill Spotify playlist. Or go to Toca Madera to see how's it's done properly. The staff are still a bit new so service is slow. Overall I'd not come back here and wouldn't recommend it till the service and sound are improved. read more

As a former local, I was very excited to visit the Fountainbleu and experience Vegas's newest resort. We were very impressed with our bartender, Thomas. He had a great sense of humor, drinks were so delicious! However, the female manager (I apologize as she never gave her name) was terribly rude and unprofessional. A person in our party has a disability, however as 'they weren't in a wheelchair' she made us to move out of our bar seats that Thomas had helped us find. We came in planning to grab a single cocktail, but the quality of the drinks and service had us sitting at the bar for hours. The Jade Rabbit was one of the best cocktails I have ever had, but the true standout was Michael's custom cocktails and customer service. Michael spent hours teaching us about mezcal and tequila and carefully crafting custom cocktails tailored to each of our individual tastes. Even the tequila skeptics enjoyed his creations. We will certainly be back next time we are in vegas and I would HIGHLY recommend hitting this spot and letting Michael take the reigns to make you something incredible. read more
