This was our first time here , we had 4 of us and we were greeted and seated by Brie :) She was absolutely amazing! So friendly , funny , caring and loved her job ! We had a few coors lite beers each , even a Jell-O shot lol We had chicken sandwiches that she had recommended, they were pretty good but not great ! Let's start with it's been a while since we been in and well the level of uniqueness has diminished. There used to be an awesome rotisserie chicken on the menu but alas no more. Now this Water Street Spots bar is a Fusion Asian something and it's not that anything was bad Per se it just was not enough to keep us here past one round. Michael is newer server but he was fine. It took the bartender like twelve or fifteen minutes to make my cocktail which came out after my wife's. No the bar was not busy, just lack of focus seemed to be the point. read more

Came here on Saint Patty's weekend. It was pretty busy which is understandable and they were able to see us altogether, there were 10 of us. The host and the waiters were all super nice but they forgot my wings, and two orders of egg rolls. They had a very limited menu, we all came in for a burger, but that was not on the menu. Hot dog- big hot dog but was not served with any fixings? We had to ask for onions and mustard, no relish. Wings 1 pound were $20 and was only 5 wings . The wings were not good and it was pink and under cooked. The fries were definitely frozen and old. Corn beef cabbage egg rolls- no no no., they were soggy and mine did not come with any cabbage. The dipping sauce was somewhat vinegar, probably would've been better with just a sweet chili sauce. Pizza was just ok. The green beer tasted like water, I honestly think it was like half beer half water .Not eating here again. read more

Happy hour!! Went at around 10pm for some good bar food, and we were not disappointed. They offer a happy hour menu from 9-11pm with some great choices. We got 2 orders of the fried pickles and an order of the poutine, all of which were apart of the happy hour menu. Then 2 order of chicken wings, 1lb of mild buffalo and 1lb of the garlic parmesan, these come with either fries or tater tots. We chose the tots! Super yummy and great portions! 5 stars for just the poutine itself. But bonus points for great service as well. We went here for happy hour and got the poutine, fried pickles, patty melt, and wedge salad. The poutine was the star of the show. Nice, battered crispy fries, a light chicken gravy, and cheese curds. The green onions and black pepper was a nice touch. This thing was fucking delicious. And get this: only $5 during happy hour Everything else was good, not great. But everything was well seasoned and tasty. The servers took good care of us as well. So we went here 6 months ago and there was a band playing. It was so loud it was piercing and we had to leave. I've been wanting to go back but was scared lol. Anyway we went for happy hour and darts. So the happy hour prices were decent. They have a green tea shot that is delicious- my daughter got three but what was weird was they kept getting smaller every time she got one. My husband liked their house lager and I thought the fried pickles with spicy ranch was super yummy. It really wasn't anything bad. It was just kind of mediocre. When the staff did speak to you, they were friendly, but they would disappear often for periods of time. It's a small space if you're indoors so don't come in too big a group. We ended up going back later to close the night out, and the bartender that was on the closing shift was super friendly and made by last impression better than what I had originally been. read more

I tried to like this place because they had trivia and music bingo. I really tried, but my goodness. The food was terrible. The burger I had was literally inedible. Worse than that, my kid ordered a virgin drink, and the waitress brought her the alcoholic version. She's 19. There are so many places on Water Street that have good food and aren't serving alcohol to unsuspecting teenagers. I'd recommend that you go to one of those and skip this place. read more

y'all! i wish this place was good but it wasn't. boyfriend and i went on the fly craving a juicy burger and good ole grill food. ordered fried pickles and they were drenched in oil - had to use extra napkins to soak up the excess oil. spicy ranch it came with was watery along with the regular ranch - just watery and not appetizing. we should have walked out when we saw the quality of the fried pickles but gave the rest of the food a chance. sadly the burger wasn't juicy and very mid. the wings were okay and boyfriend describes them as rubbery. we hoped the food would be better but just missed the mark. the server and maybe the manager were very nice but food didn't match. i wanted to ask the cook how he was feeling cause the food was not made with love. -disappointed read more

We wanted to love this place. Loved the pizza and wings when it was Sunset, though service was never their strong suit. Even with the place half full it took about 15 minutes for a waitress to come to our table so we could order drinks and and appetizer. From there we waited 25 minutes to receive our appetizer and another 10 before our cocktails and waters to arrive. The artichoke dip was heavy, thick, cream cheese consistency - served without enough bread to finish the dip. We asked for more bread or chips or something/anything to eat the rest of our dip with. Or waitress said she'd get something from the kitchen but never did. After waiting another 15 minutes, we had to go to the bar to ask our waitress to come back to take our food order... she was busy taking shots with the bartenders. Our dishes all came out at various times and my steak frites came after EVERYONE had finished their meals. The steak frites was delicious, my friend's pastrami fries were delicious. Unfortunately we're not likely to dine here again. Service is just so bad, it's not worth it. Unless you're at the bar, they don't seem to care about you. read more

I saw that Sticks had a special going for steak and shrimp tacos. These being three of my favorite things I headed over to give it a try! Sticks is very much a tavern atmosphere but it's undeniable that the food is elevated and definitely chef prepared. I have no idea how on Gods green earth they got the steak so tender. It was expertly seasoned and complimented the shrimp perfectly. I got three tacos made with traditional corn tortillas served lightly fried with a light layer of melted jack cheese. These tacos were simple but not lacking the precision of a skilled chefs dedication to flavor, texture and execution. The trifecta required for the making of good food. The first bite was a genuine surprise of so much deliciousness, eyes rolled and moaning happened. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. My coworker talked about Sticks Tavern and I decided that I wanted to check them out myself. Hence the name and being located directly across the street from Lifeguard Arena, this is the perfect place to watch hockey games and, obviously, it's a hockey themed bar. Every Friday night is karaoke night, which happened to take place when we visited, so we got to watch a multitude of people sing while enjoying our meals. Yes, I do sing myself, but I chose not to partake in karaoke this time around. Originally I wanted to sit outside, but my boyfriend wanted to sit inside due to the recent wildfire smoke we've been getting. You've gotta try their cocktails! I had the What The Puck and my boyfriend had the Chance's Colada. Our waitress told us later that they ran out of Raspberry Vodka (one of the main ingredients in this drink), but I didn't realize it because it tasted so good! My boyfriend loved the Chance's Colada so much that he wants to make his own at home. Now it's time for the food. We shared a basket of onion rings with ranch on the side (they make their own ranch, FYI). I ordered the Grandma's Pulled Pork Sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the Patty Melty Melt, both with fries on the side. My sandwich had pickled onions and BBQ sauce in it, which was messy at times but had an abundant taste to it. My boyfriend was also satisfied with his meal. We found parking in a lot around the corner in the back, which was easy. This was one of our favorite bars that we visited in Downtown Henderson thus far. read more

Came to visit the "Hawaiian Dancing Queen"Bartender, Lala at her new spot on an early Saturday night. I was presently surprised that this was a family friendly gaming restaurant so the hubby and I could enjoy perfectly crafted beverages coupled with good eats for us and our baby girl. She was crafted a raspberry temple that was perfectly refreshing and bottomless. The hubby got his usual drink but then was introduced to a new, smoother whiskey that is his go to now. I got my usual, Kansas City Ice Water. They got burgers with fries to eat while I got steak frites with fries as well. The burgers were good and not burnt. They loved the buns that were toasted but not hard and had a fresh taste. My steak frites were cooked to perfection and so juicy- medium well; they were accompanied by chimichurri sauce that the frites were settled in along with a handful of fries. None of our fries were greasy and all the food was full of flavor. Service was good. Seating was open/first come, first serve. Our waitress was great but appeared to be busy with most of the other tables. Between her and Lala we were never without anything. The ambiance was good. The crowd was mixed in ages, a live band was playing songs, the TVs were on as well. There was bar seating, gaming at bar available, unisex bathrooms (2), table seating, and booth seating as well. After a hike, I brought two friends from out of town to Sticks. We had hiked from Las Vegas Bay so this was a convenient stop on Water Street in Henderson. It was a quiet Super Bowl late morning and we were given their brunch menu which has fewer items than their normal dinner menu. My two friends each ordered the Sticks burger with fries. Although from Canada, they did not choose to upgrade the potatoes to poutine. I ordered the chicken katsu sandwich. which the menu describes as: marinated & breaded chicken breast, cilantro aioli, carrot and daikon relish, garlic cucumber, brioche bun. We all enjoyed our lunches with my friends being very pleased with there burgers. The chicken katsu sandwich on brioche was very good. It could use a bit more cilantro aioli for my taste but it was nice to order something different not often seen. Our server was very pleasant and she refilled drinks. Parking was quite easy and if it was a bit warmer, we probably would have eaten outside. This is definitely worth another stop for the dinner time menu. read more

Sticks Tavern is located on Water St in beautiful downtown Henderson. The restaurant itself is very clean and inviting atmosphere. It reminds me of the old taverns we had back in Jersey. Their menu keeps to the staples of what you would find in any sports bars. The difference here is Sticks gets it right. Their #1 burger is an excellent choice and is also my favorite. One member of the wait staff Alisa is gotta be one of the best servers in Henderson. She is very attentive to her customers regardless of how many she has. She is professional and courteous to her customers which just adds to the experience. And when she's not serving customers she's usually busy wrapping up silverware, clearing tables or assisting her peers. read more

We had an awful experience there yesterday with our large group. We called ahead to reserve tables for a large group of kids and adults following a hockey game across the street. We were asked to submit our orders in advance - which we did. And we arrived on-time, if not a few minutes early. Upon arrival, there were not enough seats for everyone but perhaps we had underestimated our own party size. A few of us stood around until another table opened. No big deal. It went downhill from there. We waited nearly an hour for drinks to even start arriving, and the first food came out a full hour after our arrival, with some people not receiving food for 1.5-2 hrs. A few of our party members finally got up and left without ever receiving their food. To add insult to injury, the food was just ok, with small portions. The chicken Caesar was fine but looked like a side salad. And the burgers were ok but came with a disappointingly small serving of fries. The pizzas weren't anything to write home about either. I don't know if the quality suffered because the cook was so overwhelmed by the volume of orders. I will note that the prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly and somewhat apologetic about the delay but did not offer a discount, a free round of drinks, or any other way of addressing what was an awful experience. This may be a good spot for a few friends to enjoy a game. But they were obviously ill-prepared to serve a party our size, in which case they should have just told us that and we'd have made other plans. read more
