I wanted to like Oak Room, but they're completely missing the mark. First, there's no Wi-Fi, which already makes it a bad choice if you want to come here to work or relax for a while. On top of that, they were playing rap/hip hop when the space would make much more sense with chill lounge music, jazz, or oldies. The vibe feels confused. The menu is also poorly positioned for the location. A lot of the items are things I'd much rather get from the surrounding restaurants that do them better. If King's Fish is 10 steps away, or Echo & Rig is nearby, why would I choose to pay $58 for a ribeye here in what feels like an empty gaming bar? Instead of differentiating itself, Oak Room seems to be competing in categories where the nearby spots already win. The place would make far more sense leaning into elevated bar food, small plates, and finger foods. Outside of fries, fried shrimp, and egg rolls, there's not much on the menu that fits the environment. This is not the kind of place people naturally want to go for herb-crusted salmon or a ribeye. I'm writing this more as a favor to the owner than anything else: reevaluate the menu, the music, and the overall positioning. Right now it doesn't feel like a place to work, chill, or have a standout meal -- and the fact that it always seems empty reflects that. read more

Drinks and ambiance were great. Unfortunately, I just discovered that they charged my card twice for the same amount back in April. $44.01 x2. It's weird because I obviously paid the bill at the end of our drinks, so there's no reason I should have been charged twice. I just disputed the duplicate charge with Amex, but that's enough of an inconvenience to drop the rating. read more

Located at the district at Green Valley Ranch in the old Richard McNeely, this place has been rebranded several times. I would give it zero, if possible. We try again every 6 months or so because we love seeing Patrick play! They only have 1 bartender and 1 waitress. The service gets worse every time. We ate least ate before we came because it takes forever to get food. Same menu as BLVD (which is amazing) but food nowhere near as good. VGK game was on so they only let Patrick play during intermissions, instead of muting the game. At least 30 people were there specifically to see him. Ridiculous! My friend ordered her drink and 20 minutes later asked the waitress why it was taking so long and her response was "IDK, I don't make the drinks". WTF? It could be such a great place if they put any effort into it whatsoever! read more

Nice interior and attentive service. As for the food, hard pass next time. Pricey and mediocre. Plenty of other options for a cold drink.

Some of the food and cocktails was really good, some of it's not work it. The chicken panini and onion rings were awful. I don't know if it's bc they forgot the sandwich and rushed it that it literally had no seasoning or sauce on it or that's how it comes dry af. Just heard about this place. Came by at 4:30 pm, sat and waited. Absolutely no service or waitress after 20 minutes. No sign to wait to be seated or seat yourself. One barmaid with a guy in a white shite behind the bar. We left. Worst customer service, will never come back. read more

Came in after wine tasting....heading to somewhere else and distracted by the TVs blasting MNF. Happened to make happy hour (never do). Portions nice size. The best pickled onions on the nachos!! Food tasty...except definite hard pass on the cheeseburger eggrolls. Just lacking something. Whiskey flight was good - only one substitution. Only drawback...no hard cider. As a non-beer girl.... Okay Rebranding Alert! In my opinion this was Much Needed! The image from the front door in is now one of refinement and taste. The muted Jade walls and black velvet paper lined pillars work well together. New additions of lower tables and a couch are mingled with both booths and hightop cocktail tables. The bar is the same and they kept the televisions however the facelift overall is a win. We chose a nice bottle is red from the list and I had to try the Classic Old Fashioned. The cocktail was executed superbly. We then were served our appetizer, Cheeseburger Egg Rolls! OMG... Amazing, hot and delicious and a little bit greasy, as a good Cheeseburger should be! The House made Burger Sauce was perfect with it! Chicken Tenders were alright but that Biscuit...Holy Moly it was good! I had the Grilled Salmon served with Pesto Cream. It was good, a bit overcooked for my liking, even though I asked to have it done MR. But the dish was quite enjoyable. We were offered dessert, which sounded lovely but we passed. My one gripe, to the Owners and the Chef... why do you bother to serve Slaw when there was no effort put into making it enjoyable? I want to start off by saying the live entertainment and atmosphere was phenomenal. However, the high hopes of a great establishment quickly dwindled after being seated. My 33 week pregnant wife and I ordered water, a panini, a steak and some chicken wings. We never received the water in the 45-60 minutes we were seated. I had to walk to the bar to obtain something to drink for my pregnant wife since the waitress never returned. Absolutely unacceptable. Food came out relatively fast and my steak was cooked perfectly, which was nice. However, the steak legitimately had 0 flavor. $48 for a slab of meat on a plate with no seasoning whatsoever. The chicken wings had the texture of a rubber toy. Not worth the money we spent at all, especially since I couldn't even finish my meal. After sitting for an additional 20-30 minutes, we had to ask the busser for assistance with the check. The waitress then finally came back over to give us the check and we expressed our concerns. She laughed at us. I want to make sure this is very clear, I am not over exaggerating. She laughed at us. I was absolutely appalled. I fully expect some kind of resolution here because I am furious. I wish the best for you and your business if the owner and/or GM sees this but you have some vetting to do within your establishment. I'll be waiting for some form of contact. read more

Review: The Oak Room - Henderson, NV Visited: Tuesday evening, 6:30 PM | Party of 9 I recently hosted a group dinner at The Oak Room in Henderson, and it was a solid choice all around. The place has a nice atmosphere--relaxed and laid-back without feeling too casual. Great setting for both group gatherings and smaller, more personal meals. We had a reservation for nine people on a Tuesday night. They weren't overly busy, which made for a smooth experience. Our waiter was excellent--very accommodating and attentive, without being overbearing. We kicked things off with appetizers: cheeseburger egg rolls, street corn nachos, and beer-brined chicken wings (we tried both buffalo and sweet chili sauces). All three starters were a hit with the group, but the sweet chili wings definitely came out on top as the favorite. When it came time to order entrees, they were running a bit low on steaks--just one petite filet and two ribeyes left, which isn't shocking for a Tuesday. Our table ended up with a mix: a petite filet, ribeye, grilled rub pork chop, shrimp scampi, and a few steakhouse burgers. I had a burger myself, and it was cooked perfectly--same could be said for everyone else's meal across the board. In short, The Oak Room delivered--good food, great service, and a comfortable environment. I'm a frequenter of The District, but I honestly think I've only stepped foot inside Ritchie McNeely's a couple times, if that. Came here with my husband, sister in law and her boyfriend and decided to grab a drink before we headed down to Water Street. It's pretty dark in here, but I believe it's supposed to be that way because it's supposed to feel like an Irish pub! They have cool photos around the bar, and tonsssss of whiskey. When I asked for a beer, our waitress let me know that they're really more well known for their whiskey and if you want beer, PKWY next door is more where thats at. But she did tell me they are getting Cali Creamin soon (swoooon) so that's exciting and I'll be back for that. With her recommendation, I decided to get an old fashioned with their house whiskey. They also have a limited food menu, too, which I believe they share the kitchen with PKWY. I ordered the carpaccio for the table. The old fashioned was realllll good. Pretty darn strong, too, just the way I like my old fashioneds haha. The carpaccio was DELISH! Came with a really tasty sauce on top and bread to eat it with, as well. I was shocked on how tasty it was honestly. I definitely would eat it again for sure! Definitely a cool bar to grab a drink at. Love their patio area. When the weather gets a little nicer, might come here to grab a drink and work out there or just enjoy some sunshine! Definitely will be back. read more

One bartender on a Thursday night and a manager (assumed, dude in gray sweater counting register or pos station) who did nothing but watch this bartender drown. Would say it isn't her fault, but she topped off the long wait with pure attitude. I get it, not your fault it is under staffed, but also not the customers. The experience was a fail, which is too bad because gambling and drinks are already a dime a dozen here. And could there be any more freaking kids in this establishment??? I came in this morning due to needing a nice spicy Bloody Mary as a hair of the dog type drink, and I must say the ambience is nice they have pool tables and a cool dark atmosphere but my main thing I took from coming here was their bartender, who I must say was amazing, Darby was very personable, gorgeous and a great help. I recommend coming here for her great attitude, good to look at lol and the machines and drinks. read more

Came to check out the new revamp and liked it a lot. The server was great and super friendly, the atmosphere was nice. And they had the VGK on, so it was a solid start. Great place to stop by for Drinks and Snacks! Love the Outside Seating. Great for People Watching and catching up with Friends. Bartenders like Darby and manager Jen always attentive and welcoming. Went Friday night to see Patrick and Mora play and of course they were amazing. Food was very good, beer orange something or other was tasty. Our only gripe this visit as was the last few times is the music piped in between sets was to loud and definitely not matched to the customers. If you're trying to make it a more upscale venue, hard rock is not the right choice, especially to loud and when the customers are between 40-70. Managers have to read the room . Between sets people like to talk and that was almost impossible. Come on Oak Room, step it up. Oh and the whiskey prices are astronomical! Sorry but a dram of Red Breast 12- $23.80? That's $12 everywhere else. I won't be ordering any whiskey there. read more

We ate at the Oak Room on 1/15/25 for lunch. To start out with, they were out of bread. I can see that may happen at the end of the day, but for lunch on a Wednesday? So, I was not able to get my first choice of a chicken pannini sandwich. I ordered the chicken linguini. The chicken cutlets were dry, and the linguini was butter laden but tasteless. It cried out for salt. I opted not to eat it because the calories were not justified by the lack of flavor. After the meal, my stomach was upset so I decided to throw away the leftovers. When it came time to pay the bill, the waitress did not give me my change, I had to ask for it. I will not be returning. read more

I used to go to this location when it was Al's Garage. There was a good SPORTS PUB menu and a variety of rock music playing. Al's garage was always busy. When I go to Ritchie McNeelys IRISH PUB I'm disappointed. Poor selection of food and ROCK music. Nothing says IRISH PUB! Certainly not my favorite. Food is okay. Charge extra for everything including ranch or tartar sauce. On an up note the ketchup was n/c. Got our order wrong on one sandwich 2x's . By the third the rest of us were done for long time . The manager thinks they did us a favor by discounting the one error by 20%. In my view the sandwich should have been comped. This place is your average Irish-themed sports bar. It was clean, and the staff made my drinks quickly. The reason for the low rating is because of the policy of being charged extra to hold the ice in my drink. I drink my whiskey neat. Every other bar does this as a single shot, no ice. When I closed out, I noticed they charged me $4 for ordering it neat. I talked to our server and she told me that it's really a double shot. The drinks I received did not look like doubles. If I did receive three doubles, someone would have had to carry me out! I asked to speak to the manager since our server didn't say a neat shot would be a double. The bartender came over to tell me the manager had left for the night and the best he could do was give me a free drink. I misunderstood this as getting a drink comped, which was an ok consolation. Unfortunately, I was just given another neat shot (still didn't look or feel like a double). There's only so much the staff can do. I can't fault them for this when clearly this is a dumb policy pushed down by the company. So I just cut my losses, paid the tab, and vowed never to go back again. read more
