We went to this location tonight to meet a friend. The menu here is a little different than the Durango location but all is still good I thought. Our server was Juan and he was good. He kept our drinks full and checked on us often. He did suggest, but I did make the mistake and ask, he recommended the Joey's Burger as his favorite, I was mixed on a few choices and asked. Joey's burger which is actually their version of a Big Mac was ok. It is not something I would order again or recommend as it was the worst thing I've ever had at Giuseppe's. It was that bad I had to say it twice because it was tasteless even without the bread. It just was not good at all. The eggplant parm appetizer and the Antipasto Salad were really good. They both fed 3 people easily. My friend said the Rigatoni Italiano was really good and my other friend had the Patty Melt which looked a lot better than the Joey's burger and he said it was really good. Ambiance was nice, the bar side was packed but the restaurant was kind of empty. I do recommend Giuseppe's but I also recommend you make your own choice on food. I don't know what happened today but you guys got our order really wrong. We ordered the insalata caprese and the gnocchi carbonara. I'm going through chemo and it's hard to find food items that will make me hungry and those 2 items at Giuseppes have always helped me out with giving me an appetite. We called in our order because using Uber eats hasn't always worked for us(items missing or they just never show up!?) My guy picked it up and didn't think twice about checking the order. Maybe he should have. For some crazy reason, and after double checking with the guy that took our order, we got angel hair pasta with marinara!? Unfortunately, and because of chemo, I can't eat tomato sauce of any kind. It's too acidic. I was SO looking forward to that creamy sauce, ham and peas! I didn't get it. I probably would have been fine if it had been Alfredo or any other dish with cream. But it wasn't. My guy said he would go back because he felt responsible but I told him it was alright and I just ate my salad. I also don't think it was his fault because the guy that handed him the bag said," Insalata caprese and gnocchi?". Ummm..Yah!? Just moved to the area. We were seated right away and the restaurant plus the bar was pretty busy but the staff was enthusiastic to welcome us. I really liked the concept of the bar being separate from the dining room so there were plenty of places to sit. The dining room is good for families. My husband ordered the meatball sub and it was a very large portion but the meatballs we're full of flavor and definitely homemade. The nice touch was that the sandwich had melted cheese and the bun was fresh. I had the little bit of Italy which came with lasagna, chicken Parmesan and fettuccine Alfredo. I wasn't too crazy about the chicken Parmesan but the lasagna and fettuccine Alfredo was amazing. The pasta was tender and the sauces were creamy. The lasagna had a lot of layers with extra cheese and the meat sauce we can tell it was made in the house. I love the idea that the restaurant is open 24 hours and they do serve breakfast so I will be going back to try the breakfast menu read more

We sat down and waited a bit and the Manager came by and kindly asked " has anyone helped you yet? ". No not yet. Boy did he take charge. Thin lightly breaded, perfect sauce and Parmesan. Hot, filling and it was the appetizer. It was not mushy (like other places seemed to make) it was crispy and a large serving. I even brought half of it home. Now my husband ordered Gnocchi. I took a few bites. And I do mean a few. Oh my never tasted Gnocchi before. Here is if you have never tasted Gnocchi. are soft Italian dumplings, typically made from a dough of flour, potato, and sometimes egg, served in various ways like boiled, baked, or pan-fried with sauces such as tomato, pesto, or butter and sage. We stopped here after a day out at Lake Mead since it was right off the road and on our way home. The first thing we noticed was how little parking there was--between the few businesses in the immediate area, the parking lot really didn't offer enough spaces. The establishment is split up between an all-ages dining side and a 21+ only bar side. We walked in on the bar side. Aside from the big bar top with casino machines--ah Vegas--there were only 4 booths to sit at. We looked around to see if there was a sign stating to sit ourselves or what. Nothing in sight so we just sat down. However, we were told we should have checked with the host on the dining side. There were bus boys, water fetchers, menu fetchers, and just about everyone under the sun stopping at the table EXCEPT a server. She eventually came up and stated no one said we had been sat. Seems like the restaurant doesn't have a clear seating and wait staff assignment process in place. If you order a well drink, you're at least going to get your moneys worth--the pours are designed for Vegas alcoholics, not people with taste buds. So, that's good or bad depending on which category of drinker you are. The food was mainly all just carb loaded Italian options. We ordered some fries and a couple of flatbreads. The fries came out crazy fast and the flatbreads came out in decent time, too. All of it was delicious!!! Service was just ok. Clearly the restaurant has some figuring out to do in terms of clearer assignment of people and duties--having 4 people who are not the server stop by the table and then waiting for the server to be found and actually show up was redundant and ineffective. This place does the job in terms of a bite and drink. THE SERVICE: Service was incredibly slow and inconsistent. Our waiter was nice but seemed very overwhelmed and confused. He kept coming back after taking our order asking if we ordered salad or if we ordered bread, talking so fast that it made us feel a little frazzled. On one of these trips back to us (30 minutes after being sat at our table) he looked at our table and said "nobody brought you bread?" And we stared at him so confused. He brought us a bread basket shortly after. Other tables also seemed frustrated at how long the food took. 40 minutes in, our waiter was getting frustrated too. He came to check on us and asked "Nothing has come yet?" And we said no. He said "Wow." Which is weird because who else is supposed to bring our food other than our waiter? He finally brought our garlic bread appetizer and we asked for a manager to speak to. Manager came out and apologized, said the kitchen is going as fast as possible. He took the appetizer off our bill and said he was going to give us free dessert for the hassle of waiting. It was nearly an hour after ordering that our main course arrived. THE FOOD: Garlic bread had 0 garlic on it, just straight cheese bread. Tasted fine but not as expected. I got an aperol spritz drink and it was good. The chicken parmesan pasta was a bit overcooked, but the chicken was soft and easy to cut. I wouldn't have been as disappointed if it hadn't taken so long to receive the food. The chocolate cake was rich and fudgy and a big enough slice to split between the 4 of us. CONCLUSION: Over all a disappointing experience. It was our first time coming to this restaurant because we wanted to give it a try and it was close to our house. We were expecting an italian restaurant but it was just a sports bar with italian food. I appreciate how they tried to remedy our negative experience by comping the dessert and the appetizer, but I will probably not return because nothing was really worth coming back for. read more

Giuseppe's bar is located on Lake Mead by lake Las Vegas. It's in a dying shopping center, however I believe they'll anchor it nicely. Stopped in tonight while staying at lake Las Vegas. We ordered several items, wedding soup that was absolutely delicious with good chunks of meat. We had an order of wings which were cooked perfectly and tasted great and also the chicken parm which was cooked perfectly as was the accompanying pasta. The wait staff was attentive and the food arrived rather quickly which was nice. It allowed us to eat quickly and then get back for the fireworks display with plenty of time. We've been going to Giuseppe's for decades--especially the Durango & Patrick location--and we've eaten at all of their locations. Giuseppe's By the Lake has the best pizza, hands down. The food itself is excellent, and that's why this review is frustrating to write. The issue is takeout service, specifically at the register. Some of the younger staff (and this isn't meant as a personal attack--I started working young myself) are consistently rude, inattentive, and careless. Orders are frequently wrong, even though we eat here regularly and are well-known customers. The only people who consistently recognize us and provide good service are the owner's son and the woman who makes the desserts--both are fantastic. A couple examples: * The on-site ATM once failed and took $200, which was handled poorly. * On another visit, a younger employee spilled meatballs on my brand-new shirt. When I asked for a towel and a bag, I was handed a bag and left to deal with it myself. No apology, no effort to fix or remake the order. This is a training issue, not a food issue. The food keeps us coming back--but service like this is exactly why people say Vegas has lost its standards, and why loyal customers eventually stop returning. Please train your front-of-house staff. The bar area is quite large with televisions and bar top gaming. There is a main dining room then what appears to be a private dining room/main dining room extension. The prices are decent for the area. Our waiter brought us a complimentary meatball appetizer. It is two pieces of thick bread with two large meatballs on both. It was served with a side of ricotta. This could be enough for a meal. It was delicious. For our meals I had the rustic flatbread and my spouse had the margherita pizza. Both were large portions. This place is interesting. When you walk through the front door, inside there is a hostess booth and two directions to go. One side leads to the bar and the other side to an Italian restaurant. Tonight we tried the restaurant side to dine after getting my taxes done. Since it was the day before Valentine's they not only had happy hour specials but they also had a special V day weekend menu. Our waiter was friendly and helpful with choices from the menu. We started with the hot stuffed peppers that came on a slice of bread and some dipping sauce. We ordered a Caesar salad with No chicken but it came with chicken so we had to send it back. I ordered the Pappardelle bolognese that looked like a vodka sauce that had noodles that were under cooked and stiff. Also a French onion soup that was ok. This place is nice inside and they do a business but as far as ranking it in with other Italian restaurants in town I will probably just come to the bar side next time. Also tried to pick a dessert item from the regular menu to go and the item that I picked I was told was only gonna be available the next day ( then why post it a day early). On this particular night just a bit cafeteria-ish feeling on the food taste level. This restaurant has been around 11 years and the original roughly 21 years. Honestly I was super disappointed in the food at this restaurant, I was so excited to try something new but what I ordered was way too salty. I really enjoyed the Martini and Calamari but the Carbonara was so salty by the end it was hard to eat. Our server was very attentive and nice, but I've never seen a restaurant have a credit card service charge which was like $4 on top of our total. We are pretty sure they didn't put any alcohol in the Margarita that we ordered. All in all I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and we probably won't be back unfortunately. read more

My favorite local restaurant; however, we went last night and I ordered a pasta with chicken and asked to substitute shrimp. The server told me there would be an extra charge and I did say okay. The bill came and I was surprised that the extra charge was as if there wasn't any protein in the pasta to start with. Instead of charging me the difference between the cost of the chicken and shrimp they charged me for an entire order of shrimp. Dinner has been great. Breakfast on the other hand was extremely poor today and the wait staff and certainly the cook are the worst. The English muffin came out hard, dry, burnt and non edible. When I brought it to the waiter's attention, it was like he had no idea what I was saying. The home fries were disappointing- obviously no seasoning whatsoever before they were fried to death. Not good. It's very sad. Had a nice visit last Saturday. Local Italian restaurant that serves, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.. with a 24 hour bar that has flat screens all around to view.. We made a reservation for a booth & only got the 1/2 booth 2 chairs set up which isn't that comfortable. It was hot in the restaurant around 7/8pm on a Saturday night.. Made it uncomfortable to enjoy their delicious food. We order light a Margarita Pizza Giuseppe's style to share that was fabulous along with a fresh filling yummy crisp caesar salad... Wine was fabulous.. My company had ordered the meatballs that were to salty for his taste.. Clean environment with lots of friendly family that works there & a helpful waitstaff. Cozy small dining area. Not a big fan of the booths that are parallel to the noisy sports bar. Too much food to eat, took to go.. The restaurant is warm.. You will get hot.. A/C is very important .. Hope to get a pepper grinder in-house for meals & a booth if reserved.. Looking to give it another try & are happy to finally see a restaurant so close to us that we like! Do not go to this restaurant. Their customer service is horrible! The short bald headed manager is a complete jerk. Completely ruined my birthday!! I had a gift sent to me from this restaurant through DoorDash from my sister, but the Driver stole the food and I luckily have security cameras all over and proof he didn't drop it off. Doordash apologized and mentioned they would open an investigation, that there was no picture of his drop off which is unusual and could track his gps and he likely would be fired, but a separate department would complete an investigation and refund my sister in 5-7 days. I called the restaurant to warn them in case he went back to pick up others orders and they put me on hold and let their Manager know what happened and told me their Manager wants to make things right and would re-make the order for me and to just bring in something showing I would the recipient of the order that the Driver stole. I thanked them and drove all the way there and showed them proof I was the recipient and proof of the Driver parking in a dead end for 12 minutes and then leaving. When they went to pick-up the order the woman I spoke to over the phone then told me her Manager was now saying I needed to pay for the order!? The employee apologized and mentioned she was the one on the phone that offered to make things right and thought the Manager was just re-making the order for me, but let me know her Manager however now was saying I needed to pay for the order?!? I explained I never even asked them to re-make it and only called them to warn them it was stolen and the restaurant was the one who put me on hold and said they wanted to make things right and offered me to pick up the re-make of my food in 20 minutes. No one stated I could come in to place an order for food. I could do that anywhere at any point. I would NEVER have driven there to place an order for food. I asked to talk to the Manager who basically doubled down on asking me to pay for the food and said they had already started making it?! I was livid and walked out. I have never had a restaurant do anything like this. He is a complete jerk! I could go anywhere at any point and order myself food. THEY were the ones that offered to make things right and told me I could come pick-it up in 20 minutes. I never once asked them to re-make my food. So as if my night wasn't already bad enough from the Doordash theft this jerk made it 10 times worse. This is NOT how you do business. Avoid this restaurant. He also made it sound like DoorDash theft is common. I personally have never had a Driver do this, but it apparently is common at this place and they will do absolutely nothing to assist you if and when it happens. read more

Embarrassing to say but I've been thinking of this place ever since my friend shared a photo of her fettucine alfredo on social media last weekend - it looked so good that I knew I needed to try it ASAP. I talked a coworker into checking it out with me today for lunch and we were so happy with it! The atmosphere is light and airy, with a touch of sports bar feel and some Italian vibes - not sure how but they tie it all together very well. The iced tea is fresh brewed which was so good and refreshing especially in this heat. We were also treated to warm bread and butter - score. Then time for the main event - the fettucine alfredo with grilled chicken was every bit amazing as it looked in the enticing photo that got me to come in. It was creamy, flavorful, noodles perfectly al dente and the chicken grilled perfectly - juicy but not overcooked and seasoned well. My coworker got the sliders and enjoyed them, especially the fries! I look forward to coming back and trying more items. I ended up working my last several hours of my day in Lake Las Vegas. I was transporting many of the locals in the area between their houses and the village. I was supposed to meet some friends in the area and were looking for suggestions. Almost all of them recommended the new Giuseppe's. We decided to meet there and we were all very pleased. Unfortunately my phone storage is full, so I wasn't able to get any pictures this time! From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family! The service was first class! Brittany was the one who mostly served us behind the bar. She is an asset to any business she is employed by! Not only is she very friendly, but her personality is very warm and caring, she pays close attention to detail, and her suggestions were spot on. The rest of the staff that we encountered were also amazing, very helpful, and friendly! As for the food, I think the name gives it away... It's traditional classic Italian, and very delicious. They use high quality pasta, fresh ingredients, excellent spices, and the sauce was amazing. It's a non smoking establishment. The ambiance is casual, yet classy. When you're in there, you almost feel like you're in Italy. I live 27 miles away from this business and I'll definitely be back to see Brittany and the rest of the amazing staff again!
