Where it all began! Here under the lights of Luna Rossa. So many many years ago. We went back, back to the beginning! Have you ever had a "first date!" That one time to make or break it. When my beloved took me here for the first time, little did I ever realize that it would trigger a wave of events that would forever change my life. Here we sit yet again. Across from an individual that I cherish and I still cannot find words for the moment. The butterflies churn but here we sit still. The restaurant is something wonderful. It's a beautiful little nook where you can see one another and be in each other's presence based on the ambiance of the restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing . The staff are very knowledgeable about the menu and even can pronounce the Italian wording of what looks good. Roll the dice and have something new . It's Italian you can never go wrong with it. As we sit and eat it is delicious. The taste of the food literally makes you melt as each bite comes into contact with your tongue. Then after all that you need to have dessert. The taste of what we enjoyed was absolutely amazing. It was chocolate something. As you sit here we have a perfect view of the lake too. Generation after generation come here to celebrate their life moments. That should tell you something about the history of this little restaurant . Now it's time to celebrate your next life event. My experience at Luna Rossa was disappointing. My first impression when walking in was not good. There was an unpleasant smell, similar to a dirty restroom or a general lack of cleanliness. The service was basic at best. During our visit, there were only two occupied tables, and the staff consisted of one server and an assistant, so I expected a higher level of attention and service. As for the food, we ordered a pizza and a pasta. Considering the prices, I expected much better quality. Both dishes tasted and felt like processed food rather than something freshly prepared in-house. The food simply did not justify the cost. What bothered me the most was the automatic 20% gratuity added to our bill, even though there were only two people in our party. I understand the importance of tipping and would have left a gratuity anyway, but automatically adding 20% for a table of two felt inappropriate and left a negative impression. The only thing I truly enjoyed was the location in Lake Las Vegas, which is beautiful. Unfortunately, when it comes to food quality, value, and service, there are many better options available nearby and throughout the Las Vegas area. Luna Rossa is a lovely dining experience in Lake Las Vegas. The ambience is elegant and quiet, with an old school touch. I adored the large mocktail menu- as someone who has been exploring more non-alcoholic options recently, I was so excited to see an espresso martini option on the menu! It was also delicious which was a huge plus. I would go back just to try more mocktails. The appetizers we had were incredible. Our salad was amazing and the Gnocchetti Fritti were yummy as well. We were not the biggest fans of our main courses: my husband's steak was tough and my Tortellini di Pollo was a bit bland and I really didn't want to eat more than a few bites of it, but I would try more appetizers or perhaps a different pasta dish next time. Service was not the most consistent but I do understand that during the slower season that we came, January, the restaurant may have been shorter staffed. For Mother's Day, my family and I had dinner at Luna Rossa. The food was delicious, and our waiter was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, our overall experience was overshadowed by serious billing issues. After our visit, my credit card was charged multiple times, and I'm still not confident that I ever received an accurate final bill for our dinner. I made several attempts to resolve the matter by phone and email, but despite my efforts, the issue was never properly addressed. In the end, I had to work with my credit card company to dispute nearly $700 in charges. It's disappointing because we genuinely enjoyed the meal itself, but the stress and frustration caused by the billing situation completely took away from what should have been a special family celebration. Came here to meet a girlfriend for lunch on a Monday afternoon. They open up at noon and at 12:30. It was extremely quiet. Very elegantly designed inside, the staff was friendly and quick to get the table some water and take our wine order. Great lunch specials on their lunch special menu everything from meatballs, Caesar salad, salmon, pasta's, and several different protein or vegetable dishes to choose from. This place is amazing! I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shaved truffle and added shrimp, and it was absolutely incredible. The sauce was so creamy and flavorful, and the truffle wasn't just shaved on top, it was mixed right into the pasta, giving every bite a rich, decadent flavor. They brought my friend a tiramisu for her birthday with a candle and even sang happy birthday to her, which made the evening extra special. We sat out on the patio because there was live music playing, and it was the perfect atmosphere. We watched people cruising by in golf carts and walking their dogs. Had a mini staycation in Lake Las Vegas and ate here. Walked in and it had a bad smell of sewer... not the restaurant's fault but very unappetizing. Anyway, the food was delicious. Started with the calamari, thinner pieces, it was just ok. I'm used to thicker pieces. I had the short rib pasta and it was amazing. My daughter had the bolognese and it was great!! Finished off the meal with a piece of tiramisu, which as you can see I forgot to take a picture. It didn't last long. One of the best I've had. Definitely give this place a try. read more

This spot does not disappoint! I like how they give 2 kinds of bread. I always get the same pasta bc I love it and it's a good price, pasta with broccoli and chicken. Very authentic. Restaurant visit June 5 My husband and I recently had a couple of days off together. Due to our work schedules, this doesn't happen very often, so we decided to enjoy a staycation and spend a night at a hotel in Lake Las Vegas. For dinner, we chose Luna Rossa Italian Restaurant. As I've mentioned before, my husband and I both work in the culinary industry, and we love trying different restaurants whenever we get the chance. This time, it was Luna Rossa's turn. We walked in without a reservation and were seated immediately. I ordered sparkling water, but regular water was brought to the table. As soon as the server realized the mistake, she quickly came back and corrected it. To start, we ordered the calamari and fried gnocchi. Both were very good, but what really caught our attention was the sauce. It was delicious, and we could tell it was made in-house rather than coming from a jar. We also had the Caesar salad. It was a little dry and could have used more dressing, but after I asked for some extra, it was much better. For our entrées, we ordered a pepperoni pizza--my husband's favorite food--and fettuccine Alfredo. The pizza was excellent, and once again, the sauce stood out. The Alfredo was equally impressive. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and who could complain about fresh pasta? Overall, the food was great, and so was the service. Another thing that made the experience special was seeing so many Italians working front of house. It added an authentic touch that made the experience even better. Luna Rossa may be a bit of a drive out to Lake Las Vegas, but if you ever get the chance, it's absolutely worth the trip. And if you're staying in Lake Las Vegas, don't miss the opportunity to dine there. And remember, it's not always about the food--it's about the people you're sharing the meal with. Family-owned by the Molli family and serving the area since 2010, it has that warm, classic Italian feel without being stuffy. We tried the baked lasagna, gnocchi in creamy tomato sauce, pepperoni pizza, and the salmon salad, and everything was solid. The pasta tasted truly homemade, the pizza was excellent, and even the salad felt thoughtfully done--especially after adding a generous amount of Parmesan. This restaurant is always consistent. The waiters are cranky older gentlemen and the food is fine. Drinks are so so. I most recently went for dinner on Mother's Day with my daughter. Came to Luna couple of nights ago ordered a main course then asked for a sub substitute, waiter tells us they can not do that.. they say we would have to pay extra $14-$18. Which as you know, it's almost the price of a main course.. I asked for management woman walks up rudely saying that that's the way It is no matter who you are. Food mediocre price ridiculous. All I can say is OMG! This place was perfect. I stumbled upon it during my birthday stay at Lake LAs Vegas and am so happy I did. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the server and sat down. I ordered a Caesar salad , Manicotti Ricotta E Spinaci, I added chicken and a glass of Cabernet. Everything was immaculate. You can tell the Cesar dressing was homemade, it was so fresh. The pasta was flavorful yet light . I loved every bite of it. But the star of the show was the bread and oil surprisingly LOL the waitress told me before she brought it out that it was amazing. I thought to myself how can bread and oil blow my mind. It did ! They add garlic to their olive oil mix and it really set it apart. There was so much flavor. From now on I will accept nothing less than. I also received a strawberry tiramisu and the waitress sang happy birthday to me along with a glass of complimentary champagne. 100000/10 birthday, service and food! I'm staying at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas for a wedding, just a few mins walking from the cute little village where Luna Rossa and a few other shops and restaurants live. We arrived for a late dinner, just after 8pm. We were served right away with ice water which was great in the heat, and complimentary warm bread with olive oil and vinegar. There was a live musician playing the guitar as well! We got three menu items: - TORTELLACCI RIPIENI BRASATO DI MANZO AL TARTUFO NERO. Wowww the creamy Alfredo sauce has a great truffle taste and was rich without feeling too decadent. The short rib stuffed in the homemade pasta melted in our mouths. - TAGLIATA DI BUE. For example...ordering water. They try to be all fancy and make you order water like you're in Europe. Just bring us ice waters, please. Also, there were only three of us, on a work trip. We weren't family or people out on a date so we asked if they could kindly split our checks and we got a hard no...for reasons. The worst customer service we have ever experienced. This is second time we have tried this restaurant to experience bad customer service. When you show up they just ignore you. Such a nice drive out to the lake to celebrate my son's birthday at Luna Rosa Ristorante at Lake Las Vegas and WOW -- what an amazing experience! We ordered the special of the day: squid ink pasta with seafood and it was loaded with fresh seafood. Every bite was out of this world. My husband had the Pappardelle Zafferano e Gamberi -- large pappardelle in a creamy saffron sauce with shrimp -- and he couldn't stop raving about it. And please... do NOT leave without trying their tiramisu. Mind. Blowing. Beautiful spot, incredible food, great service, charming Italian gentlemen, and perfect for celebrations. Highly recommend! The service at this place is so bad. Was turned away years ago, while they were open. Just decided to close early and not take more guests. Happen to be at the lake and have 2 hours to kill. Was gonna order a nice bottle of wine and chill. Asked to sit outside. Place has 4 guests, at most in the entire restaurant. Try to sit us in a corner with tons of bugs flying around. When I asked to sit in a different spot, the waiter says bugs are everywhere, which wasnt the case. When I told him we were only drinking, he said we could sit for a bit but they are going to get busy soon. We got up and left. How this place has any customers is beyond me. Now I love some Italian cuisine and stopped by this restaurant on a whim. Although we did not have reservations and it was crowded, we were promptly seated outside (space was a little tight but they had nice music on the speakers and there was a slight breeze-so no problem). It took a minute for the server but it was busy so again no worries. We ordered a salad and beverages, which were refreshing and tasty. The problem began after we ordered main food, things we wanted to order we not available and we had to settle for alternate dishes which is not necessarily a deal breaker but notable. We waited for 30 MINUTES and ask for the server. He tells us he asked about our dishes with the chef 3 times and was told other dishes were put in front but it is being made now......EXCUSE ME! There is no way, I ran a restaurant before and you just didn't put our order in! 15 more minutes and we leave to go to the front, on the way the server sees us and says he's making it, it's coming... we said no and where is the manager. The hostess points to the manager and she walks right by to the back and then comes back past us to greet other patrons at the front and I said "this is appalling and totally unacceptable", she just kept waking. We had a fairly large group of 7 adults and 2 children on a Friday evening And ordered everything from fish to chicken to pasta to steak and everything was delicious.
