Where it all began! Here under the lights of Luna Rossa. So many many years ago. We went back, back to the beginning! Have you ever had a "first date!" That one time to make or break it. When my beloved took me here for the first time, little did I ever realize that it would trigger a wave of events that would forever change my life. Here we sit yet again. Across from an individual that I cherish and I still cannot find words for the moment. The butterflies churn but here we sit still. The restaurant is something wonderful. It's a beautiful little nook where you can see one another and be in each other's presence based on the ambiance of the restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing . The staff are very knowledgeable about the menu and even can pronounce the Italian wording of what looks good. Roll the dice and have something new . It's Italian you can never go wrong with it. As we sit and eat it is delicious. The taste of the food literally makes you melt as each bite comes into contact with your tongue. Then after all that you need to have dessert. The taste of what we enjoyed was absolutely amazing. It was chocolate something. As you sit here we have a perfect view of the lake too. Luna Rossa at Lake Las Vegas is a great find if you're craving authentic Italian food with a view. Family-owned by the Molli family and serving the area since 2010, it has that warm, classic Italian feel without being stuffy. We tried the baked lasagna, gnocchi in creamy tomato sauce, pepperoni pizza, and the salmon salad, and everything was solid. The pasta tasted truly homemade, the pizza was excellent, and even the salad felt thoughtfully done--especially after adding a generous amount of Parmesan. What about the best Italian restaurant in the west valley? Luna Rossa - was a total surprise, coming out of Hilton into a small village, we didn't expect much! But omg! This place is amazing! I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shaved truffle and added shrimp, and it was absolutely incredible. The sauce was so creamy and flavorful, and the truffle wasn't just shaved on top, it was mixed right into the pasta, giving every bite a rich, decadent flavor. They brought my friend a tiramisu for her birthday with a candle and even sang happy birthday to her, which made the evening extra special. We sat out on the patio because there was live music playing, and it was the perfect atmosphere. We watched people cruising by in golf carts and walking their dogs. It was lively, fun, and full of energy. All of the servers are Italian, which adds to the authentic charm. Our server was fantastic, super friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. The service was top notch from start to finish. The ambiance is small and intimate, great for a date night or celebrating a special occasion. Came to Luna couple of nights ago ordered a main course then asked for a sub substitute, waiter tells us they can not do that.. they say we would have to pay extra $14-$18. Which as you know, it's almost the price of a main course.. I asked for management woman walks up rudely saying that that's the way It is no matter who you are. Food mediocre price ridiculous. Deliiiiicious gluten free penne pasta with vodka sauce ! Came home with my left overs and couldn't wait till tomorrow had to have some more. The eggplant / zucchini salad with goat cheese and balsamic dressing was perfectly crunchy, tangy and refreshing. My mom had ricotta ravioli, she's a retired French chef who is from Italian decent and she loved her dish. The bill was about $100 including tip for both of us with a sparkling water bottle, a salad and 2 main dish which is a great price for a great restaurant. All I can say is OMG! This place was perfect. I stumbled upon it during my birthday stay at Lake LAs Vegas and am so happy I did. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the server and sat down. I ordered a Caesar salad , Manicotti Ricotta E Spinaci, I added chicken and a glass of Cabernet. Everything was immaculate. You can tell the Cesar dressing was homemade, it was so fresh. The pasta was flavorful yet light . I loved every bite of it. But the star of the show was the bread and oil surprisingly LOL the waitress told me before she brought it out that it was amazing. I thought to myself how can bread and oil blow my mind. It did ! They add garlic to their olive oil mix and it really set it apart. There was so much flavor. From now on I will accept nothing less than. I also received a strawberry tiramisu and the waitress sang happy birthday to me along with a glass of complimentary champagne. 100000/10 birthday, service and food! I'm staying at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas for a wedding, just a few mins walking from the cute little village where Luna Rossa and a few other shops and restaurants live. We arrived for a late dinner, just after 8pm. We were served right away with ice water which was great in the heat, and complimentary warm bread with olive oil and vinegar. There was a live musician playing the guitar as well! We got three menu items: - TORTELLACCI RIPIENI BRASATO DI MANZO AL TARTUFO NERO. Wowww the creamy Alfredo sauce has a great truffle taste and was rich without feeling too decadent. The short rib stuffed in the homemade pasta melted in our mouths. - TAGLIATA DI BUE. The worst customer service we have ever experienced. This is second time we have tried this restaurant to experience bad customer service. When you show up they just ignore you. Ate here last night with a couple of coworkers. The location was pretty cool and the food was excellent. But the service was slow and they made little things complicated. For example...ordering water. They try to be all fancy and make you order water like you're in Europe. Just bring us ice waters, please. Also, there were only three of us, on a work trip. We ordered the special of the day: squid ink pasta with seafood and it was loaded with fresh seafood. Every bite was out of this world. My husband had the Pappardelle Zafferano e Gamberi -- large pappardelle in a creamy saffron sauce with shrimp -- and he couldn't stop raving about it. The service at this place is so bad. Was turned away years ago, while they were open. Just decided to close early and not take more guests. Happen to be at the lake and have 2 hours to kill. Was gonna order a nice bottle of wine and chill. Asked to sit outside. Place has 4 guests, at most in the entire restaurant. Try to sit us in a corner with tons of bugs flying around. When I asked to sit in a different spot, the waiter says bugs are everywhere, which wasnt the case. Warm bread and love oil and vinegar was served when we sat down - reminded me of Italy- our favorite place ! Service - amazing, attentive, helpful! Ambience- romantic. Call ahead when they have live music which I think is Fridays. They have some tables overlooking water nearby. It's further out but a nice escape. Quiet little place. Now I love some Italian cuisine and stopped by this restaurant on a whim. Although we did not have reservations and it was crowded, we were promptly seated outside (space was a little tight but they had nice music on the speakers and there was a slight breeze-so no problem). It took a minute for the server but it was busy so again no worries. We ordered a salad and beverages, which were refreshing and tasty. The problem began after we ordered main food, things we wanted to order we not available and we had to settle for alternate dishes which is not necessarily a deal breaker but notable. We waited for 30 MINUTES and ask for the server. He tells us he asked about our dishes with the chef 3 times and was told other dishes were put in front but it is being made now......EXCUSE ME! There is no way, I ran a restaurant before and you just didn't put our order in! 15 more minutes and we leave to go to the front, on the way the server sees us and says he's making it, it's coming... we said no and where is the manager. The hostess points to the manager and she walks right by to the back and then comes back past us to greet other patrons at the front and I said "this is appalling and totally unacceptable", she just kept waking. Came in here for dinner and had a very pleasant experience. I got here before the rush crowd so practically was by myself the first 15-20 minutes before people started packing in. Ordered a cesar salad and lobster ravioli. All the food was super fresh and good. The lobster ravioli was all lobster filled and not just cheese ravioli with a little bit of lobster pieces on the side. The vodka sauce was really warm and light. Let me start by saying, I always hope I can post a positive review. This will not be the case today. When you enter you are greeted by a very nice gentleman who clears and buses tables. When you ask him a question he promptly responds with yeah and continues to speak in Spanish. Realizing that he will not be helping you find a seat, you just wander to any of the 25 to 30 open tables. You are handed a single double-sided menu that sticks to your fingers. The menu is among the most idiotically confusing, moronic brain contusions that I have seen in the last 10 years. We got the calamari which tasted like they had pulled the octopus from lake Mead, beat it against a rock and left it to rot for a week. It was nice and pungent aftertaste that stuck with you even when you tried to cover it up with their stale bread. We proceeded to continue the punishment by ordering entrees. My girlfriend's salad had shrimp and chicken in it and the shrimp was completely blown apart and the slime trail was truly impressive when you picked it up from the plate. I had a salmon salad and they were nice enough to include potatoes in it which I'm still confused about. It was less than pathetic. After we finished our $130 meal with tip, we all proceeded to text each other at home to see if everyone who had eaten had the same stomach turning, wretched diarrhea. It was nice to know that we all did and we could all relate to each other. The server is a complete freak. At one point he told us that he makes better Italian food at his house. We came with a party of 5. 2 vegan, 3 non vegans, we asked about vegan options.....she said, " there is nothing here for you." We did end up having a green salad. We ordered a minestrone that was basically just broth. After waiting over 90 minutes for our food, our table still had not been fully served. She brought out our food all at different times. 4 of us had food on the table getting cold while waiting for the last dish....lasagna. When we asked about it, our waitress just yelled, " it's still in the oven, what do you expect me to do?" They basically do not give a #*$^ here when it comes to customer service. Along with another couple, we came here again to enjoy more Italian fine dining, and were generally pleased with the results. A Special Charcuterie Board was brimming with assorted cold cuts, olives, and cheeses to be applied--or not--to slices of bread resting in a complimentary Bread Basket. Golden Gnocchetti Fritti were as delicious as before, whether eaten plain, dipped in Marinara Sauce, or dunked in Alfredo Sauce. A bowl of Minestrone Soup brimming with soft vegetables tasted genuinely homemade. And an excellent Half Cesare Salad with added Brown Anchovies was large enough that I was grateful that I didn't order the full portion. My entree of Linguine Alle Vongole was somewhat spicy and contained far too few clams. But Diane was happy with her generous portion of nicely pounded Veal Parmigiana Alfredo, and our friends were thrilled with their individual Lobster Pappardelle Pasta Special entrees. We've been coming here occasionally for years and it really is one of our favorite Italian spots in Vegas. This most recent visit was no exception. We stopped by on a Saturday early evening with no reservations and were able to be seated right away. We just beat the rush. It was a perfect day outside and we had a table inside but right next to the patio doors, so we had a breeze and it was perfect. On the weekends, there is a live band usually outside by the lake too so we got to enjoy that entertainment! For dinner this time, we started with the Ortolana salad. This is a salad with lettuce, roasted peppers, marinated eggplant, zucchini and goat cheese. YUM. This was so so tasty that we ate every last piece of lettuce. Definitely recommend this and I'd come back just for the salad :) For entrees, I went with my usual Lobster ravioli. It's one of the best I've had and it's made with homemade pasta here. It's a perfect portion and delish. My husband had the Tortellacci Ripieni Brasato Di Manzo al Tartufo Nero (homemade pasta filled with braised short rib in an alfredo sauce with black truffle). When I tell you this was the best pasta we have ever had...ohhhh my. We were dipping bread into the sauce it was so good. Cannot wait to go back to order this one for myself honestly.
