The domes are nowhere as nice a the website makes them appear. Getting a good view of the night sky requires sitting outside anyway. Once there, there really isn't much around. GC west and the Skywalk are about 10 miles away and you have to plan on about 45 minutes to get to the canyon rim as once you get to the GCwest entry point you have to wait for the shuttle bus to take you out to the canyon rim. Oh, and the daily entry fee is $70 even to just peek at the canyon. It was nice to be able to see the sunset at GC west and not have to drive all the way back to Kingman. But, not worth that kind of money. When I made my reservation, I toyed with the idea of booking a "skydome" for an additonal $500/night. That would have been the ultimate rip-off. The website makes it appear that you have a spetacular view of the Canyon. While you do have a view, the canyon wall you see is about 12 miles away and shrouded in haze. We hiked up to the "skydome" and I was majorly relieved I did not spend the extra money to stay up there. The bright spot in the stay was the camp host, Brenda. Shes a gem. She went way out of her way to make our stay as nice as possible. This included telling us at check-in that we really did not want to stay for three days as I had reserved and working to get us a refund for the third day. Unfortuantely, well fortunately for Brenda, and unfortunately for the rest of us Brenda is retiring in November. She will be missed. In summary, had this place been $200/night, it would be worth it. The price we paid, nope.

Some friends and I stopped at Black Cat during our overnight trip to Seligman. It's got the classic small town dive bar vibe with pool tables, cheap drinks, interesting decor and a touch tunes for pay to play songs. There was only one bartender so keep your speed expectations in check but I thought she did a great job even when it got busy. I didn't order any food so can't speak on that but my pickle margarita was delicious. A great night stop for the night before bedtime.

You'll find a basic marina here, a general store that sells ice in cubes or blocks and has a small cafe inside, rental cabins, and a wide but still 2 lane boat ramp with plenty of parking close by. It's Ranger patrolled so nobody messes with your vehicle and trailer while you're out on the lake. In short this is the perfect place to access Lake Mead if you want to enjoy a bit more of the solitude it offers. Again it's off the beaten path, but well worth the time to get to it. (Note even though it's remote, they do have a fee station on the road coming in so yes, it's not free. But I don't mind paying the fee to help them out!)
