Came here on football Sunday to check out their game day specials and how true they were. As soon as we walked in the bartender, Tina, asked us what game we were watching and she changed the channel so that we could watch football! And she did this before we even ordered. Great personality and super attentive. Great first impression! We ordered a bucket of beers for $18. This is definitely a cool locals bar with not a ton of seating but that's good because there's an intimate feel to the place. And come to find out, it's because almost everyone in there knows each other's names. Were ordered off the game day specials and got a Chicago dog with fries, BBQ chicken pizza and Stuffed jalapeños. We found this on yelp reviews and went in and it was dark and had gambling which I would have never chosen. I wanted to leave husband said "let's just stay". Bad idea. I stopped in here one day after having brunch with my friend's upstairs. One of my friend's comes in here with her husband. We went to have a couple more drinks & I'm a gambler so I wanted to play some video poker, actually all of us did. None of us won any money so not sure if their machines are always tight or I just wasn't lucky? LOL I LOVED how they were decorated for Halloween. I noticed this right as I walked in but I also noticed how strong of cigarette smoke that this place smelled of. It was bad, very stinky & strong. They should work on a better filtration system. The bartender was nice & greeted us right when we got there. My friend knew him but she was also there before meeting us upstairs with her husband as they went in to drink & gamble prior. The bartender gave us food menus, stuff looked good but we had just eaten so I didn't order anything. Place is very small inside but they had some good seltzer that I like and of course Tito's. This was our first visit here. The Red Barrel is definitely a true neighborhood tavern. We really enjoyed the happy hour. The prices were nice and the menu was quite varied. Dynamite fish tacos and perfectly cooked tater tots! Tina, the bartender, was super-friendly and fantastic in taking care of us. There are a ton of TVs. The tavern isn't that big but has a nice cozy feeling to it. There are plenty of video poker machines at the bar and Tina was good at copying us on our drinks. We can't wait to go back and try the Barrel Dog and the Buffalo Cauliflower! read more

Summary for the busy executive: Small. Clean. Boring. Slow. I feel a bit guilty leaving a lukewarm review of a place that most Yelpers seem to think highly of. But I just don't see the appeal of this little tavern. On the up-side: it's nicely decorated, with stone facade walls and Golden Knights banners. A large wall of tv screens is good for sports viewing. And it doesn't smell of cigarette smoke, which is a HUGE point in this place's favor here in the Vegas area, where smoky bars are still the norm. (Near the end of my time there, somebody started smoking. The place is tiny, so it was a bit unpleasant. But better than a lot of places in Vegas.) I'll also give the barmaid points for being friendly and warm. I watched her work very hard as the only server in the place, getting food orders, serving drinks, settling bills, and answering gamblers' questions about the video games. Despite these positives, the place has serious drawbacks. It really is tiny. There is a bar, and there is a side wing with nine small tables. That's it. So: they are strict about their gamers' only policy at the bar. I was asked to vacate the bar at a point where the place was nearly empty. I wasn't offended, but if you want to sit at a bar without playing video poker, this ain't the place. Next on the negative list was the speed. The service was painfully slow. I came for happy hour, arriving at 4:50 to a nearly empty bar. The barmaid was busy serving the few customers there, and so I sat there for fifteen minutes waiting for an initial greeting. She was apologetic, and the situation was understandable. But it was slow. Then there was was more waiting. She came back to take my order ten minutes later. Food (a single appetizer) took another 20 minutes. So what I hoped would be a quick happy hour beer and snack turned into a full hour outing, of which about 20 minutes was actually consuming, and 40 minutes was waiting. Logistics are a challenge here. Happy hour is $8 for appetizers and $1 off all drinks. That would be great if the menu gave you prices on the beer. But it doesn't. So I didn't know how much I was paying for my beer+appetizer until the bill came. The pricing was totally fine. Draught beer ended up being $5, plus the $8 appetizer. Food was forgettable, but plentiful. I had a chicken quesadilla, which was definitely worth the price (tons of food), but nothing particularly to recommend. Just solid, inoffensive bar food. In short: In a town with endless pub options, this one is fine if you find yourself here, but there is no reason to seek this place out. read more

Thought this place would be great based off the reviews and it didn't turn out to be what I expected. The service was amazing, we sat by the big screen projector and the bartender, I think her name started with a T was super lovely. I'd probably give less stars however her attentiveness, kindness and attitude was excellent. The place was nice and clean, and tv set up is good. they do allow smoking and the vents work okay but it was pretty cold with air blowing towards the tables The food is the real reason for the stars. We ordered a meatball sandwich which tasted frozen and at the price would expect better, and a burger which was okay but nothing grand. read more

Thursday Night Football calls for a Small, quaint neighborhood bar with awesome food, drinks and service!! A little smoky as would be expected yet far left side of the bar well-ventilated so it wasn't even a bother. Red Barrel is exactly what the name implies...a Neighborhood Tavern! It's relatively small inside, but nicely done with the decor. As you move around the corner, it opens up a bit to a smaller restaurant side with t.v.'s for those that don't like sitting at the gaming bars. Though the best times for drink specials are game days, their happy hour food menu is very strong! The fish tacos are outstanding! The fish filet is large, the dressing and cabbage is fresh, and with two of these large tacos it's a very fair price! Their wings are absolutely perfect, especially if asked to fry them crispy! My assumption is you can't go wrong with any of their bar bites, as well as the burgers that looked awesome at the nearby tables! Christmas Eve and I just came here to see my long time, most genuine, grounded friend Tina. Tina is the. Bartender and is loved by all and gives a lot of love back. This spot used to be the 052 back in the day but with the name change came an updated menu. This food here is very good. I had the fish and chips, Caesar Salad and the appetizer ribs. The fish and chips were solid. Meaty, beer battered , good crust, great taste and fantastic tarter sauce. The chips were crunchy on the outside and moist and hot on the inside. So good! The Caesars was big and please know that all salad dressings are made in house. A very good salad. The ribs have a spicy sweet flavor, meaty seems to be a thing here. Tender and filling. The bathrooms are very clean by the way. Please note that this is a bar and people smoke here. If you can deal with the smoke and like a great bar with a gregarious clientele this could be the spot for you. I like this place a lot and I'm a non smoker. Support you local small businesses. Great place that was formerly The 052. The location is wonky, it's on the first floor and perched on a hill. The bar shares parking with the other nearby businesses. The interior is pretty welcoming, and the staff have been very friendly during each visit. I stopped in a few times to try out their video poker and have a drink. They have Gamblers' Bonus for those who wish to indulge. I received their Red Barrel newsletter in the mail shortly after my first visit. They offer quite a nice selection of food and drink. Their bar bites menu includes fish tacos, a barrel dog and nachos among others. The regular menu includes burgers, sandwiches and entrees such as skirt steak. And breakfast is served all day! This definitely has a bar atmosphere and, had very dim lighting. I could barely read the menu but, the seating was very comfortable. There was one guy working the bar and, serving tables which would be concerning if it got really busy. The appetizer was a little underwhelming but, it was not bad. The Burger was fantastic but, a little overcooked ( I was never asked what doneness I preferred) and the fries were perfectly seasoned. The desert was absolutely wonderful and, definitely was the star of todays meal. I would have given this place 3.5 if it let me but, it definitely felt like the bar was the focus here. Meeting friends for brunch on a Saturday morning. We tried the usual egg place. Twenty-five minute wait for a table. That wasn't gonna work for us. We passed a new place as we drove down Eastern - the Red Barrel Tavern. It listed a breakfast menu and a brunch menu. Called - no wait at all. On the ground floor beneath the Stove Restaurant, the parking lot is always a bit crowded but there are spots to be had. It seems to be primarily a sports bar with a large bar in the center, lots of TVs playing sports channels, and a few high top tables on one side. The Breakfast Jambalaya on the brunch menu intrigued me. Jambalaya for breakfast??? What the heck - you only live once. Great choice! It is a jambalaya with primarily rice with sausage, a few shrimp, some peppers and a couple of eggs (I opted for scrambled rather than fried). I came in pretty hungry and still couldn't finish it. It came with a small muffin and house made marmalade. Also excellent. Our friends each got the avocado toast. Another huge portion on marblized rye with a hard boiled egg topping. My wife got the California omelet. That was just OK. Great place for a weekend brunch with none of the usual waiting time at some of the better known spots. read more

Got dinner here last night cuz it's close to home and never tried it before. I would have given it 4 stars, but my fries were over cooked and the beignets were not beignets. They were fried crunchy doughnut holes that turned to dust in your mouth. Someone needs to explain what a true beignet is to the chef. That said, I had the tavern burger and it was fabulous! The sauce they used on the burger was delicious! I could have done without the pretzel bun and gone with a softer bread because this burger is huge, but enjoyed it none the less. My husband had the salmon sandwich and he was pleased. His was a salmon fillet on toasted bread with a nice variety of accoutrements added to it. He got the side salad which had a nice little blend of lettuce, onions, tomatoes, etc. do I recommend this place and would we come here again??? absolutely! Food was very good, service excellent. We had lunch and enjoyed the friendly bar tender/ wait staff and the full wall tv screen while watching a ML baseball game. The chef came to ask how our meal was. Nice and quiet. Music just right, not blaring. We had tried the restaurant upstairs (which I won't name) but it was so noisy we couldn't hear the hostess at all. Mind you, our hearing is fine under normal circumstances. She HARASSED me while in the bathroom on 7/10/2023 around 9:30 pm. she accused me of "hanging out" in the bathroom when I had been in there for not even 5 minutes. she made me feel like I was homeless and deranged! Fun place very nice but if you are gambling. Been there a few times and it seems for every $40 gambling they comp 1 beer. Won't be going back again. It's small clean and very nice. I was able to stop in after work to grab a drink with a friend. We had been wanting to stop in to have the tots. They sounded so good. We came around 6pm and had a hell of a time parking. We turned in a little early and had to go out make a U-turn go farther down and turn in. After that though it was easy. We parked and made our way in. This is a local bar for people in 7 Hills and Anthem. I felt a little out of place. It didn't feel as welcoming as I would normally expect but I don't think this is Red Barrel's fault. It was more the look of a 30 year old coming into their watering hole and shaking things up. Idk but even the bartender asked if we were old enough.. didn't check ID but asked. Otherwise they had some special on the apps so we ordered the potstickers, pretzel bites, and of course the loaded tots. They were changing their menu and didn't have a few things so we had to pick other drinks but that's no big deal. We order two shots and two beers and went on about our night. Once we got the food it was on like Donkey Kong. The food really make the place shine to me. Without it, it make just be an average 3 star place. I am willing to go back and try more or just have the tots again because YUM I am in for those. It got a little later and we ordered another round. I ordered one of their cocktails that was still on the menu. I want to say it was called Back porch Lemonade but it had Jack Daniels in it and we were talking about Jack earlier so I wanted to give it a try. I'll say it was strong but in a good way. Went in for the first time to order a drink with some friends. Was confronted by the Bar Tenders Husband from what I was told. He told me to step aside so he could reach in to grope my friend.
