Believe me there was nothing at all magical about this place. I had never been here before and wanted to see what it had to offer. After a few minutes we were greeted and a drink order was taken. No offer of food or to bring a menu to us. This is the complete opposite of the interactions with people they knew, seems the ones that are regulars get offered food right off the bat....odd indeed. We get great service from Avers who takes good care of our large group that comes weekly. She remembers our drink orders and is always smiling. The chef Luis is fast in the kitchen and his food is hot and delicious. The menu offers everything from tasty appetizers to salads, sandwiches and hot entrees. The garlic parmesan chicken wings are the best I have ever tasted! The blackened salmon is also delicious. The bourbon sirloin steak with onions and mushrooms is yummy! The vegetables are always cooked just right. The portions are large and I usually take home leftovers. We highly recommend this Kopper Keg. read more

**It has now been 3 weeks. After multiple phone calls and writing a Google review (which I have pasted below), I have still not received a response. Now I no longer care for a response anymore since I wasn't worth their time. So I decided to post here and let it go. The bartender lost our Debit Card!!! I was told that someone would reach out and no one has. My husband and I arrived here just before midnight November 22, to meet up with a group of friends for a couple of hours. We all had a great time! When we arrived we gave the bartender our debit card to open a tab. During our time there the bartenders had a shift change. When it was time for us to leave the new bartenders hands me a bill. That's when I tell them they can close our open tab. They have no idea what I am talking about. My friends were given back their cards but have somehow lost mine. We remained calm and just asked that they please continue to look for it. They kept asking if I was sure we even gave them my card and I told them they could check their cameras if they didn't believe me or my friends who vouched for me. In the end they just apologized and asked for my info so they can call me when they find it. It had been a week, my husband and I have called a couple of times since and apparently nothing was done. The last time I called I ask to speak to a manager because losing someone's debit card is unacceptable and at this point I am no longer checking in for my card, I am calling to file a complaint. They assured me that they gave my info to their manager to give me a call back and no one has reached out. Losing my debit card just before the holidays is a MAJOR INCONVENIENCE. To not even get a call back or even an apology is just pathetic. The last person I spoke to at this establishment just said that my card should have been locked in there register. Like, okay... obviously it wasn't though. I just want to know that something was being done about it. Please talk to your staff to assure that this doesn't happen again to anyone! read more

This happened over a couple of nights one night i went in there about 10:00 at night looking to purchase some cigarettes for my girlfriend from the cigarette vending machine when i walked in there just bartender female walked around the corner and started immediately asking an inquisitively can i help you sir is there something you need and she did it in a very condescending matter. I told her you're speaking with her no i didn't need anything cuz i wasn't going to stay longer and buy the cigarettes. The next night i go in at about 11:00 or 12:00 in the evening and i order a breakfast to go and i told the bartender that one of the bartenders and he said okay took my order and i just interjected not realizing they were doing a shift change that that i wanted to make sure i said that was to go the bartender and i believe her name is June and realize that she was the bartender who was kind of smart alecky the night before she looks at me and she says hold on sir we're in the middle of a shift change and i said okay i'm sorry about that and she turned back and she was shaking her head she brought the bill over to me for the breakfast i gave it to her and she went back to the cash register at the bar and she brought me my change back and kind of slapped it down in front of me and said there you go sir your order will be ready in a minute she's really snotty about it. Last night i go in for an order of spaghetti and meatballs to go and she tells me right away she goes oh okay spaghetti meatballs there'll be a waitress from the other side in the restaurant over here to help you in just a moment instead of taking my order she was busy chatting with a couple of other patrons that were playing video poker which i noticed she pays extra attention to the ones that are staying for extended periods of time and playing poker. Now i'm not some slip street person i might hard-working guy who happens to just go into the neighborhood tavern because i like the food there and i just found it very disturbing that she treats customers this way and i am going to at this point save all my business and not go to the keg copper keg or whatever it's called now on st rose parkway she's just she she just brings a snotty holier than thou attitude and i just don't need that so i won't be going back to them anymore for breakfast dinner or anything else read more

You were forced to sit by the kitchen or the front door. The hamburgers are better at McDonald! No seasoning, no toppings if you don't request it. The burger tasted like nothing! Where is the seasoning? My plate had a burger with cheese and pickles (I asked for them) about 10 french fries, not brown and crispy at all, again no seasoning! Finished up an appointment with our eye doctor & feeling hunger pangs, we headed for the Kopper Keg on St. Rose. We have been there before & remember how good it is. Arriving a bit after noon, imagine our surprise to see the dining area closed. Turns out they don't open it until 1:00 pm on Mon, Tues & Weds. We did not know that. We were welcome to sit in the bar & order a meal, but we don't care for the smokers in the bar. We were very disappointed, had been looking forward to their Loaded Nacho Tater Tots. Now, imagine our surprise when they offered to let us sit in the dining area! Shirley acted as our waitress & did a wonderful job! Cheerful, smiling & obviously familiar with the menu, she answered our questions & took our orders. And kudos to Melia (hope I spelled that right) the bartender. The Mrs says she made an excellent Bloody Mary. She was impressed. Believe me, it's hard to impress the Mrs. She got the Loaded Nacho Tater Tots, while I went with the Frisco Burger. My gosh, both dishes were so very good. We really appreciate the way they way we were treated. I feel that they went the extra mile to make us comfortable & happy. You should stop in too. The service was absolute shit. My significant other and I went in on a Saturday night and the bartenders were absolutely horrible. Absolutely no service at all. The drinks took forever and the food was wrong when it came out, apparently the cooks can't read an order correctly . Our server though who shouldn't be serving the bar was phenomenal though and I have no complaints. The bartenders behind the bar should 100% be in different professions because they absolutely suck! Horrible experience. First off 2 bartenders and we spent over $500 gaming. We had to beg for refills of Pepsi. We ordered food but had to ask for server and then ask again for our food when it took over 25 min. The server never came around again so when I needed more items the bartender had to get it. I've been to this location quite a few times over the years since moving here and have never had an issue with the staff at all until last Friday evening. I had ordered a couple beers and while waiting , ordered a quesadilla. When my friend arrived and ordered a drink, all was fine until the waitress, who had been fine up until then, came up and was asking me if I was finished (which I was not) she seemed to want to move us along, when actually we'd just gotten started. I told her "we're fine" and this seemed to piss her off. She brought out the check anyway and proceeded slammed to slam it down on my purse which was beside me to my left. My friend was shocked as he saw that she had obviously done that with some considerable force and intention, whereas I had only heard it make contact with my belongings. I'm not sure what her problem was with me, not being done and having every intention of staying longer, having a few more drinks, enjoying our time there at Kopper Keg, which as I stated a place I'm pretty familiar with. I don't know her name but can only describe her as being a bit older than the rest of the staff. I had encountered her once before while there with someone else and did notice that her attention seemed a bit more directed towards him and maybe a bit dismissive towards me but I didn't and don't particularly care (waitress gonna waitress). Anyways, I just found the aggressive nature of her quite concerning. If there was something I didn't understand about the ordering process, maybe take the time to explain that. If the food and bar are separate, explain that, BUT on the bill, was food AND drinks. All I was saying was that we were fine and weren't ready to cash out at THAT time. If you're in customer service past a certain age and are maybe just a tad burnt out, don't take it out on your customers, I've been known to leave $100 tips on a couple beers so, the way I see it, all you did was screw yourself out of a big tip, because you couldn't control yourself and your bad attitude, all because YOU couldn't be bothered to explain that maybe food and beverage are handled separately (even though they didn't appear to be). I can't say that this interaction would keep me from returning but I'd probably ask for a different server. No problem, I believe in my second amendment rights too so we proceed to order a few drinks and we wait and we wait only to be told there was a shift change happening....then we finally get our drinks and move on to a small table and again the dirty looks from the angry men with personal gripes about life...like I'm in this rat hole because I'm stressed out too! Service was just slow and bar wasn't full at 4pm and the crowd even for a bar was just too uncouth for my taste. I'm staying at the best western next door. I've been here three nights, given them three chances. Each order has been wrong. This last one really pissed me off. I ordered their ultimate grilled cheese with four different cheese and they gave me a sad grilled cheese. This after they gave me a BLT... when I back and asked for what I ordered she rolled her eyes and said it was cost me. Also the grilled cheese was soaked in Pickle juice so it was soggy. Great service, great food! I got the spicy thai peanut wings, a meat pizza (canadian bacon, pepperoni & sausage) with added jalapenos, plus a spicy bloody mary beverage. Spicy Thai Wings: generous portion of 10 pieces. Great taste, great crunch, perfectly cooked. Comes with carrot & celery sticks along with ranch. Meat pizza with added jalapenos: pizza took about 20-25 minutes to come out, but it was well worth the wait. I wasn't in a hurry, but was here to relax. The toppings were perfectly cut to size for a perfect balance of flavors, sauce is flavorful and applied perfectly, crust is perfectly cooked at the perfect thickness & density to hold the pizza (not limp or soggy). Spicy bloody mary: nothing special. Just pretty standard run of the mill. Came to this place on my lunch break. It's walking distance. Never ever noticed it was there until some co workers of mine told me it was a real good so I decided to go in there. And the customer service for starters was excellent. The woman who greeted me was kind and checked on me often. In 24 hour places, food is not the greatest. So asked the waitress what was best and most popular. She said that there was a lot of items popular. So we ordered a salad and a steak dinner. Service was great, food was excellent and very tasty. The steak was so tender that I could use a butter knife to cut it. I was very impressed with the experience and so was my wife. It pains me to write this review. I've been coming to this place regularly since 2012. Today I'm afraid is my last visit. The service here has gone downhill so bad that I can't justify spending another dollar here when there is great service available nearby. Today, I lost 100 gambling. When I went to leave I was handed a $36 bar tab. For 6 beers. Mind you, my girlfriend and I only had 5 beers between us. So not only were we not comped, we were overcharged. What?? When I inquired, the bartender said she couldn't remember whether we had 5 or 6, so she opted to just charge the higher price, let alone nothing comped. On top of that, we asked for a food menu and though the menu was delivered promptly, the server didn't come around the entire 30 minutes we sat there waiting. We even asked to have our order taken and no one came. This unfortunately is not new. This has happened twice here in the last 60 days. It's the first time I've left less than a $20 tip at a gaming bar. Enjoy the two bucks; it's the last money of mine you'll ever see. After insisting we were finally granted our separate checks then our food was put in, at 50 minutes we asked for it to go the it set on the counter while the waitress was gone. As a previous trainer for a major corporate restaurant chain this was more like fast food without the fast so I let them keep the food and left. This was exactly the same situation 2 days in a row. Love this bar. I come here on a regular. Mo (Melia) is the best bartender in the world. You gotta come in the AM to catch her! She's the kindest and sweetest ever, and she takes care of her guests. Come in the evening and you get Robin and June! They're sweet girls and will take care of you too! I can't say enough good things about their staff! Graveyard is Mike and Mark. Good conversations with them. All the staff takes care of me and anyone I bring. And the wings! TO DIE FOR! The hot isn't too spicy at all, so I recommend the FIRE if you like a little kick. If you really want to light a fire in your mouth the Ahi tuna bites are hot but BOMB! I definitely won't go to another bar. And all they're regulars are great people! Good people and a great place!
