I've ordered takeout from Biscuits and Bourbon on a couple of prior occasions and had an overall positive impression of the place, so suggested dining in with a few colleagues on 6/15/26 for a belated birthday celebration. Everyone in my party of 5 LOVED what they ordered. The following were the stars of the show: - Nacho Fries: this order was a generous helping of seasoned fries (nice and crisp - just as I like it) smothered with cheese sauce, corn, pickled onions, and green onions. This was great for sharing, and we all went back for a second helping. It was seriously SO GOOD. - Brisket Philly: stuffed with chopped brisket, grilled onions, peppers, white cheddar cheese, and a garlic-y mayo, this sandwich packed a punch. I ate half for lunch and saved the other half for dinner. - Basque Burnt Cheesecake: we had to end with something sweet since we were celebrating a birthday. This cheesecake was rich and decadent and seriously hit the spot. Our server, Hollywood, was super charming and great in every way. We all loved her. I was really disappointed with my experience at Biscuits and Bourbon. The potatoes arrived burnt, dry, and barely warm. The food overall was bland and lacked seasoning, and to make matters worse, they had run out of eggs. The service was subpar and didn't make up for the disappointing meal. Unfortunately, this was not a good dining experience, and I won't be returning. The ambiance was disappointing. The restaurant is very dark, with worn concrete floors that make the space feel dated rather than inviting. The bench seating is especially uncomfortable and quickly starts to hurt your back, so I'd avoid sitting there if you can. Our hungry table of six sat inside on a slow Tuesday night. If I remember correctly, we were some of the only people in the restaurant. However, we had great table service and we all left stuffed to the brim! Living up to the name, their biscuits were delicious. As someone who grew up in the South, and doesn't necessarily eat too much of this cuisine anymore, I was really impressed with their biscuits. Fluffy on the inside, flaky on the outside. Their variety of jams and butters made it fun for trying new flavors. Really good stuff! I'm a sucker for brisket and had to order the brisket plate. It comes with two side so I opted for mac & cheese and baked beans. The brisket was tender and flavorful. Both sides were solid, as well. It's a huge portion of food! I had their house old fashioned, which they happen to have on tap. They're a bourbon joint after all! This was priced great at $12, just too sweet for my personal taste. The food was okay. I thought that it would have more flavor to it. I got the brisket Philly. The meat was tender and good but lacked depth. The rest of the sandwich fell short. Someone at my table ordered the Salt and Vinegar chicarrones. One of the piece was raw, and it had no salt and vinegar on it. The rest of the table was also upset with the food, we ate it anyways. The entire table said the fries were the best part of the meal, which is really disappointing. I did also think that their baked beans were pretty good too. It is sad that the side dishes are better than the entree. The service was also disappointing. We and among others in the section were ignored. We had to ask for refills every time, and I'm sure the server got upset with us because we had to keep calling her over. But, she kept ignoring us. The ambiance was honestly pretty good. We were able to hold a conversation without blaring music. You could also choose to sit outside. I feel like this place has potential. But, due to all of these reasons, we will not be coming back. This was my 2nd time here. The first time was several years ago and I had a better experience with their food. My friends ordered other items that were much better than what I ordered. I just saw a couple reviews about their ribs not being very good and wished I saw these reviews first before I ordered the ribs. I ordered the ribs plate that comes with 2 sides. I got the baked potato and it was a large potato and the corn. The potato didn't come with hardly any sour cream and chives that it supposed to come with so I ordered a side of sour cream. The sour cream was more of a liquid than a creamy texture. The ribs was super tough and too burnt on the outside and was probably the worse ribs I've had. They were small also. I ate one rib and couldn't eat any of the rest. The server said I could get something else so I got what my friend ordered because she said it was tender and really good. So I ordered the Philly brisket sandwich with peppers, onion and cheese. It was really good and glad I swapped it. My cocktail drink was a strawberry tequila smash and was very good. Brisket omelet was great, but elevated with the barbecue sauce on the table. Substituted fries for the breakfast potatoes and I cannot recommend this more. But the highlight here is the biscuits - in hindsight, I wish I had just ordered a plate or twelve. You get to pick one butter and one jam to go with it - my choice was cinnamon butter and strawberry jam. If I could take the cinnamon butter home with me I'd put it on *everything.* The biscuits themselves have a pretty unique texture, not like biscuits I'm used to in the Midwest. (Maybe like a Red Lobster biscuit--but so much better.) Only downside is that it seems like one waitress was serving the entire restaurant. She was great when we had her, but it was hard to get quick attention to refills and such. Everything was amazing! The brisket scramble was fire - super tender and full of flavor, and that sweet corn just took it to another level. 9/10 The pork belly... man, that's the best I've ever had. Easy 10 out of 10. It was crispy when you bite into it but still tender with that smoky goodness. The biscuits hit too, especially with that honey bourbon butter. Only thing is I wish they gave me two biscuits with this meal. There are restaurants one remembers for their triumphs... and others for their insistence on surviving them. At Biscuits & Bourbon in Henderson, one encounters, quite paradoxically, a moment of genuine grace: the biscuits. Warm, tender, almost indecently comforting, accompanied by preserves that whisper of care, of patience, of someone, somewhere in that kitchen, who still believes. It is, I confess, the reason I return.....again and again.....like a pilgrim to a singular shrine. And yet, as with all pilgrimages, the journey beyond the altar proves... trying. The broader menu reads as though conceived in optimism but executed in fatigue. The so called barbecue offerings arrive with a curious uniformity.....not of excellence, but of desiccation. Meats that ought to yield instead resist; textures that should evoke smoke and succulence instead recall something engineered for longevity rather than pleasure. One is reminded less of the American pit tradition and more of provisions destined for orbit. A tri tip sandwich once presented itself as a study in austerity: bread unyielding, meat equally so......a duet of resistance, each bite an exercise in perseverance rather than indulgence. Elsewhere, the intriguingly named "vampire tacos" managed the unlikely feat of rendering what appeared to be carnitas into something dry, almost spectral......haunting not for its boldness, but for its absence of vitality. These shortcomings might, in a more forgiving context, be dismissed......particularly given a price point that, in this era, borders on charitable. But even modest ambitions deserve a measure of attentiveness, and here the service falters with disquieting consistency. Time stretches. Water arrives as an afterthought, if at all. Staff drift--sometimes literally.........caught in conversation or the soft glow of their phones, as though the dining room were incidental to their evening. To be blunt........ I've had better service in repressive communist countries. And so one is left with a curious proposition: a restaurant sustained by a single, excellent idea. The biscuits.....those splendid, redeeming biscuits.......suggest a different future entirely. One imagines them at the center of a leaner enterprise: a food truck, perhaps, dispensing breakfast sandwiches of honest intent, unburdened by the weight of a menu that does them no favors. Will I return? Inevitably. But only for the biscuits.........taken to go, and with a certain quiet hope that one day, the rest might rise to meet them. read more

To start, I found this place via a LV IG page and i am so glad we added it to our list of places to try! Walking in we were greeted by a kind young guy who sat us immediately. Our waitress was just as amazing (i cannot remember her name but i know she started at 8am and has dogs lol)! She was fun to talk to the entire time and made some great suggestions! To drink i got the Apple Cider punch which was 10/10! Super refreshing and really tasted smooth on my pallet. Hubs got the smoked vanilla old fashion, which he enjoyed! for brunch he got the belly breakfast: the pork belly was rendered perfectly and cooked to a crispy perfection. I got the brisket hash with no tomato or onion and it was just heaven! The white sauce and chimichurri need to be bottled up because they were delightful! The brisket was very tender and flavorful! I loved the chunks of bark i got as well, making my mouth water just thinking about it lol. Another great thing was the biscuit of course lol! I wish i had ordered some extra to bring back home to AZ to have for breakfast this morning but definitely next time! Some additional highlights: the atmosphere was chill and relaxing for a cloudy/rainy day, the music playing was perfect and i loved the waitress with the egg earrings just singing out loud being herself! We stopped by before going to a show at the amphitheater. It was during happy hour so that was great. We were a party of 6 and service was good. Food: Biscuit and Gravy Cup Smoked Wings Salt & Vinegar Pork Rinds Candied Pork Belly I personally was not a fan of the Biscuit but the gravy was good. The smoked wings were delcious. It came with 3 full wings and it was smoked perfectly. The pork rinds were also as delicious and I enjoyed each bite. The only negative is I wanted a more Vinegar taste. The name had us dashing to the restaurant, I mean what could be better than biscuits AND bourbon?!! We're also huge BBQ lovers so it was definitely something we were looking forward to! The Bourbon Bloody Mary was really good! Wasn't sure about the sweetness of the bourbon but it paired nicely with everything and gave the drink a nice smokey rich flavor. We shared the single biscuit and gravy as an appetizer and it was spot on! The biscuit was phenomenal, they definitely know what they're doing with that! The gravy was also delicious, plenty of sausage and a richness that set it apart from any I ever had. The service and BBQ were where it fell apart. We started at the bar but were ignored so sat at a table and eventually the bar tender came over! Took our drink orders and didn't come back, another gal delivered them and took our order. We waited forever!! Biscuit came out and we thoroughly enjoyed it then we waited what seemed like a very long time for the entrees. They were lukewarm so sadly, they had been sitting somewhere. I've been here a handful of times for lunch and dinner. Enjoyed the grilled cheese with bacon, but I never really understood the hype. To be fair, I'm not a BBQ fan. We tried to go to a neighboring restaurant on Water Street that had just started serving breakfast. Unfortunately for them, but fortunately for us, they had no staff. Like, literally none. No customers either. We stood waiting for someone to seat us for quite a while. I finally asked a young couple who were having a moment in the bar if there was any staff and got "the eye" from the boy/man but the young woman went in search of someone at the bar and kitchen only to come back with a shrug. So, we took the hint and left. Biscuits and Bourbon was just a block away, so we decided to risk it rather than getting back in the car. Don't worry- we had a great date! We're a little concerned that there were no customers here either - I guess Water Street is quiet on Monday mornings. But a server came almost immediately out of the kitchen to seat us and our service experience was fabulous throughout our meal! We even, hesitantly, tried the biscuits again and they were so...darn...good!! Buttery, crispy and tender, delicious!! We ordered the chicken Bennie and brisket hash - yummy, yum yum!! I'm not typically a fan of breakfast potatoes, preferring buttery, crispy hash browns. But I'll make a never-heard-of-before exception for these breakfast potatoes. I took hubby on a day date for breakfast and it was worth it. I liked everything as soon as we walked in. I was told later that someone redecorated the day before and it looks really nice . The food was great and will be on of the reasons we go back . Service was a little slow but because it was full and in this economy that's a good thing. The waitress was very accommodating. I really liked the name Biscuits & Bourbon & when u enter the main door it's next to Mojave Brewery. I started off w bbq wings that had big flavors this was one of my favorites & the second app I tried was the fried tomatoes. I'm not into fried tomatoes but my friend loved them! I tried their 3 piece biscuit & I loved it crispy on the outside and soft, fluffy on the inside. It came w selections of butter & jams. But I choose 2 butters.-Honey Bourbon & Garlic. Anything with bourbon in it, has my attention! And when you add biscuits to it, it's an added bonus. We sat at the bar and Jason was our bartender and he was very cool! We tried all of the mostly top shelf whiskeys and they were good. Even better with their brisket and pulled pork sandwiches! Stumbled upon this fantastic joint while looking for a Target, did not disappoint! We were immediately greeted by the tantalizing scent of BBQ first thing in the morning. Once we got inside we were seated immediately and taken such good care of. Our waiter was literally amazing! She was so attentive. It is super super cute inside too, very rustic chic. The food though, speaks for itself! I had the chicken and waffles with bacon apple compote, AMAZING! My husband had the Smoked Tri Tip Biscuit Benedict which was also so good!
