I really like this wine bar. It's a little dark and moody inside, which is fine for the vibe. I appreciate the amount of different wines available by the glass which always includes some unique varietals you're unlikely to see outside of a wine bar setting. Service is usually fine, but not standout. I think I've enjoyed every glass I have ever had here. It's a good spot for a girls' night or date night. I've also tried their charcuterie board, which was a good portion and had really nice meats and cheeses. read more

After meeting up with a friend, I decided to revisit a wine bar I've enjoyed in the past. Unfortunately, this time was a big disappointment. I walked in and sat at the bar for about 10-15 minutes, and no one acknowledged me and no greeting, no check-in to see if I needed anything. Eventually, I just got up and walked out. It was a done deal for me this visit. Definitely not the same warm experience I had before. read more

A round of applause for me... I'm finally a LOCAL and THE LOCAL! So happy about it. This is my absolute FAVORITE happy hour spot. You seriously can't beat it. Ben, the gm, is always so nice and welcoming and greets us every time we walk in. Last time I was here, I stayed for a while with some friends. It's a smaller spot, but they do have a little bit more extended patio seating into The District. The menu is limited in terms of food, but when you have wine, really all you need is a charcuterie board, and they have such a good selection for that. I always do that four choice and switch it up. They also have a really good happy hour until 6pm daily. I've also come in here and brought my laptop to work, too, which I'm looking forward to doing again when the weather gets a little warmer. We've made coming here a weekly thing because it's the best. Highly recommend supporting this local spot! read more

Popped in for quick bourbon and beer. Nice spot in the district. Sat at the bar which had a tv with a split screen for patrons to enjoy sports. Love the local so much. The menu is lighter app options but there is something for everyone. John the bartender is absolutely amazing. He really grabs the attention of the bar and gives everyone what they need. Entertaining and super knowledgeable. Has made us feel special since the first time we came. Such a great Happy Hour! I met another new mom friend there during the first week of January and it was still decorated for the holiday's and we loved it. Such a tiny spot, it feels very intimate. I'm so glad I got one of the last tables. As we were sipping our $6 wine we watched so many people come in and not be able to find a spot so they turned around and left. Pros: EXTENSIVE wine list. The Old Fashioned was made well. Cons: Needs more food on the menu, more variety of snacks. More to offer during happy hour besides just one house red, white, draft beer, and a dirty martini. Maybe do a rotating happy hour cocktail -- each day a different cocktail. And add some snacks for happy hour too. The caprese salad is beautiful and tasty, but a little heavy-handed with the balsamic and olive oil. A little goes a long way. No reason to be wasteful and drench the cheese, tomatoes, and basil with sauce. Service was fine, though my server never did offer water. I ordered a cocktail but water should be standard. A few weeks ago, I visited The Local on the recommendation of a friend who claimed it was the place to get "The Best Espresso Martini in Las Vegas." I wasn't disappointed! I met up with a friend here on a Saturday morning, unaware that the Makers Hive Market was happening in The District, which turned out to be a nightmare for parking. Once I finally arrived, I was the only person in the building since it had just opened. I ordered a drink, but I couldn't shake the feeling that the staff was in a rush for some reason. My drink arrived promptly and was just as good as it had been advertised. The food menu at The Local is quite limited, so I decided to order a house salad. It was a pretty large salad, but it was quite bland. I think all it had in it were pumpkin seeds, tomatoes, and cucumbers. I got bored of it quickly and wished I had paid the extra fee to add goat cheese. The restaurant itself is quite charming and was beautifully decorated for Christmas at the time. We stayed for a while and had two drinks each. I will definitely be returning after learning a few things from my first visit! read more

My friend originally told me about the local and told me I had to try it! Ever since then we go back probably once a month or so, if not more! The service here is impeccable the owners are so kind and friendly. The staff is amazing. You can't go wrong with the charcuterie, boards, and drinks here. There's a wide variety of meats and cheeses. You can choose from as well as an extravagant list of wines to try. This is definitely one place. I would say that has something for everybody! The ambience and here is very cute and trendy, Opportunities for photo walls with your girlfriends if you would like. Also some bar seating. I would say it is an intimate facility. They do wine tastings once a month where they offer sampling of wines from different states and countries, as well as a small appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Attention wine enthusiast and lovers of an occasional glass of Vino. I came across this spot in Green Valley, (The District). It offers an array of great tasting wines and cocktails. I'd recommend the Malbec and the Watermelon Foam Margarita. They both tasted great and were priced accordingly. Outdoor seating is available, as well as, a bar type counter design with an open concept allowing customers to experience an outdoor atmosphere without being outside. This is a nice chill spot which, will undoubtedly be a hot spot as summer approaches. read more

We only had drinks there but the food looked delicious and plentiful and very fresh. Their happy hour started out quietly but soon the place had a fairly full bar and their small outside dining was almost full when we left. Music was great and so was the bar and wait staff. read more

It was a little loud for her to hear our order because of the music. I do wish the music was a little quieter because we were shouting at each other to talk sometimes. Overall, this is a nice bar and enjoy a drink before gambling.

Running around playing slots like a wild chicken man had left me exhausted and I was becoming uncomfortably lucid. I caught a wave outside the Skyline and rode it down the Boulder Highway. There's a strange swirling energy that ebbs and flows along this highway. It pools in vortices in casinos on either side of the road. It swept me right inside this place. Sunset Station is home of The Gaudi Bar, named after famed Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi (1852-1926). This is one of my favorite places to visit and a great place to work on getting your buzz back. I grabbed a seat and urgently got to work. Sixteen ounces later things were starting to look up. And there's a lot to see here. Now, you don't need to be high to enjoy Gaudi, but his work is all the more delightful if you are. Same with the Gaudi Bar here. The higher, the better. The bar reminds me of an indoor version of Park Guell, the little park designed in the Catalan Modernist style by Gaudi up in the low hills overlooking Barcelona. Straight lines were like an anathema to Gaudi. In his work, everything you expect to be straight is curvy, and he favors brightly colored mosaics pieced together from broken ceramics. The Gaudi Bar at Sunset Station has the same type of architectural columns which support Park Guell. They look like tree trunks, which branch out to support a fancifully scalloped domed ceiling ringing the bar area, with the top of the dome removed to expose a fake blue sky. The ceiling features a number of cutouts for lighting covered with fantastic mosaics, functioning like stained glass windows. Ringing the ceiling are wicked cool red lanterns which look like volcanic stalactites growing through a tangled web of wires and threatening to drip hot lava on the patrons below. The table behind me was filled with what looked to be mayonnaise salesmen celebrating something. I noticed they were sitting directly under a lantern. It occurred to me to warn them about the dripping lava but just then a cocktail waitress came by and I got distracted. When I looked back they were gone. Poor bastards. Amazingly fun personality and told her it was our first time and felt very comfortable and welcomed by her. I ordered 50 shades of Grey Witch and my brother got a mocktail, Bubble Bubble Toil & Trouble, he liked his drink and I LOVED MY DRINK. It does come with a Burnt Marshmallow for my Vegan friends, while I did not eat it, I am glad I didn't know because the smell of the burnt Marshmallow filled the glass and every sip had that burnt taste. AMAZING. I WILL ORDER THAT NEXT TIME. Of course my Brother says, what am I eating for dinner, implying it would not be good and that he would need something else along the way to his house.... He ordered pepperoni pizza w/red sauce, I got Vegan cheese & Vegan sausage w/a delicious vegan white sauce and WE BOTH LOVED THEM--SO GOOD, AS THE MENU SAYS "THE BEST PIZZA YOU WILL EVER EAT and this was not a lie, we loved them so much that we each ordered one to go. There was also a casket that I was fascinated with... If you know me, you would know that I felt right at home, in fact, It reminded me quite of bit of the house I grew up in with my Witchy Aunt Helen but that is a story for another time I guess. Jessie gave us a tour and the place is bigger than you realize, they even have a couple of secrets to share if you are lucky enough. I felt like I was in a cross between Dark Shadows and Scooby Doo and I loved it, this is literally my dream place. I may ask if I can rent a room--Just build me a secret one please and Kristen can cook for me, she is amazing too. and I am allergic to mushrooms and she double checked the ingredients before making my dinner so thank you very much! As I've heard this ALoft is a very new hotel, and it shows (in a good way!). They have a nice ambiance and between their furniture and the rest of the ALoft lobby, there is a pool table, there are board games and TVs, there's also an outdoor patio to take drinks. I've tried their food once, their burgers were pretty good. For drinks, I tried one of their seasonal Smoked Old Fashioned's (made with Buffalo Trace) which was pretty good and a good price ($13), as well as their frozen drinks (pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris, $15 each). Two different bartenders worked my drinks this trip and they both did a good job. I've enjoyed hanging out in Vegas off-strip and Henderson, I still have a fun time, I've gotten good food and drinks that weren't so pricy. Very good experience from a hotel bar that didn't break the bank.

Because of those positive experiences, I chose to bring my family, who were visiting from California. We arrived while it was still light out, and the ambiance was lovely--the open doors, fresh breeze, and sunset created a very pleasant setting. However, as it got darker, the lighting became insufficient, making it difficult to see our table. Unfortunately, this also prevented us from taking a group photo. Our server appeared to be overwhelmed, which may have contributed to some communication issues. For example, I ordered sweet tea for my five-year-old son, but was not informed that it was unsweetened brewed tea, which he did not enjoy. Additionally, my daughter and my son's girlfriend ordered the enchiladas but were not advised that the sauce was sweet. This was unexpected, as enchiladas are typically more traditional in flavor. As a result, one dish was returned and replaced with ceviche, and the other was left unfinished due to dissatisfaction. one of the enchiladas remained on the bill. I want to acknowledge that I did not raise these concerns during the visit, as the server seemed either new or very busy. On a positive note, the ceviche was excellent, as it has been on my previous visits, and the birria tacos had generous portions of meat. My family also enjoyed the music and overall vibe of the restaurant. That said, there were a couple of additional concerns. My children were disappointed that horchata was not available, and the restrooms did not appear to be well maintained and had an unpleasant odor. I hope this feedback is helpful. I truly believe your restaurant has a lot to offer, and I wanted to share our experience so future visits can be even better.

They are also one of my go to's. My girlfriend had the duck confit and said it was absolutely amazing and her husband had the pasta. The carrot cake is to die for and they're simple bread and butter. After that, our food arrived in a reasonable time. Everything was great. The sausage lasagna is always so good and so rich. Though a bit expensive, the portion sizes are pretty fair.
