One of our favorite places in the District at GVR! John and Lauren are rockstars here and they know most of the regulars on a first name basis. Always a clean little wine/pub hangout with great vibes, small bites, and delicious drinks! Highly recommended and worth a try if you get here!

A round of applause for me... I'm finally a LOCAL and THE LOCAL! So happy about it. This is my absolute FAVORITE happy hour spot. You seriously can't beat it. Ben, the gm, is always so nice and welcoming and greets us every time we walk in. Last time I was here, I stayed for a while with some friends. It's a smaller spot, but they do have a little bit more extended patio seating into The District. The menu is limited in terms of food, but when you have wine, really all you need is a charcuterie board, and they have such a good selection for that. I always do that four choice and switch it up. They also have a really good happy hour until 6pm daily. I've also come in here and brought my laptop to work, too, which I'm looking forward to doing again when the weather gets a little warmer. We've made coming here a weekly thing because it's the best. Highly recommend supporting this local spot!

Popped in for quick bourbon and beer. Nice spot in the district. Sat at the bar which had a tv with a split screen for patrons to enjoy sports. There's also a sitting room connected with tables and seating. Service was standard, nothing over the top but nothing bad. Will stop in again if I m ever feeling a drink while in the district

Small, quaint spot with both indoor bar seating and a cozy outdoor area. The staff was friendly and attentive. Great selection of whiskeys and wines, plus a solid food menu to pair with drinks. Three drinks and an appetizer came out to about $70 -- a bit pricey but worth it for the quality and atmosphere. Perfect place to unwind for a casual evening.

John is the best bartender ever! Don't forget to order a "Show me your kitties!" Not on the menu! The best charcuterie and best ambiance. Always our first pick for happy hour.

Great selection of beverages, in between a couple of gates and plenty of bar seating. Friendly bartender with decent prices for drinks. I would come back if I'm ever on a layover again.

I must of got lucky when I came in here today because I was able to sit down at the bar. We got served by Laci and she was super sweet. The old fashioned she made was so good compared to Hank's!!!!! What in the worlddddd! The place is a a little small, but it is good enough for the area.

Such a great Happy Hour! I met another new mom friend there during the first week of January and it was still decorated for the holiday's and we loved it. Such a tiny spot, it feels very intimate. I'm so glad I got one of the last tables. As we were sipping our $6 wine we watched so many people come in and not be able to find a spot so they turned around and left. This place has a great value so if you're looking for a hidden gem in the District look no further!

Stopped at The Local to enjoy some charcuterie and these beautiful drinks by the very talented bartender, John.

If you are looking for a local bar with lots of personality, great atmosphere, amazing food, and fun vibes. This is your spot. It's a very cozy place with an amazing staff. The food is delicious and the wine selection is is top-notch an ever changing

John is absolutely amazing ! The Bourbon selection can't be beat. I come every Sunday

We ordered cocktails from a very limited menu. Our waiter wasn't sure how to make the lemon drop martini on the menu but said he'd try to follow the recipe. We asked for Grey Goose but watched him pour shelf vodka. Drinks were served after the appetizers arrived even though they were ordered first. We started with oysters. Waiter said they only had two kinds tonight so we ordered 6 of each. He set them down and left to get tobasco we requested. When he returned we asked which were which he said "we only had one kind so they're all the same." I feel he should have told us before serving them since they were $4 each! I ordered coippino which at $46 was expensive but I wanted a treat. Hubby ordered large clam chowder in bread bowl and Caesar salad. Cioppino lists first ingredient as crab. What I was served had no crab, 2 overcooked shrimp and rubbery calamari. The sauce was flavorful but so disappointing otherwise. I asked about the crab and was told "no crab" and I was offered additional scallops as compensation. He brought three small scallops on a plate. Hubby was served two small bread bowls of chowder with the explanation of "we are out of large bowls". Again, it should have been discussed prior to serving that there was a substitution. Who wants two big loaves of bread bowl??? The salad adequate-- a big bowl of romaine with croutons with a side of dressing. All in all not worth the over $150 it cost. Not in the least! And they charge an extra 3% if you use a credit card. We will not be back.

The server did mention ahead of time that there would be a charge for the kids cup since they don't offer disposable cups with straws, but paying almost $9.50 total for a child's apple juice and a basic non-souvenir cup felt excessive. The pretzel also didn't clearly indicate that the beer cheese was an extra charge, and there was an additional "house charge" added to the bill as well. The food itself was decent, but the overall experience became uncomfortable after payment when the tip amount was questioned. Between the pricing and the extra fees, the experience just didn't feel worth the cost.

It's not all about beer though, as they have an extensive wine and spirit selection with many hard to find bottles, Khoury's only store picks, and plenty of more common brands too. I'm not very into wine but everyone I know who is says that the selection here is top notch, and they have a good selection to drink on site too. We were a group of four. We ordered a couple different breakfast items, but ultimately ended up sharing everything with one another. All of the flavors were truly like some that we had experienced on previous trips back in the 808. I really love that they have so many different options for kids meals. My kiddo went with something very simple and very basic but still, to have the options and the items available was great. They really enjoyed the crispy edges on the pancakes. I really liked the gravy on the loco moco. But better than the food was the service. Auntie was so sweet. She was so chatty. My husband explained to her how it was that we came to find this restaurant. Auntie started talking about the different visitors that they've had who have featured them on social media once my husband blurted out (some guy's) name from Instagram that he saw a video of having dined here. Really, no matter. Everything was very good. Food prices were reasonable. But again, the one thing that really made the entire experience was the friendly conversation, the references that were made of experiences shared. It was just a really fun time and a casual setting. Another thing that was cool, there's a little stage at the very front of the restaurant. They do have live entertainment from time to time. I'm told it's a great time and that the food is even better at that time. So it's definitely something to check out. Parking is in the back. Enter through there in the back entrance. And let me not forget to mention that parking in the lot is free.

Almost all of it--gone. We ordered the short rib fries, hoping for at least one win. Instead, it came out buried in what tasted like straight-up store-bought nacho cheese. Honestly inedible. I'm not someone who complains to staff. Ever. But this was one of the rare times I had to say something--because the drop-off in quality wasn't minor, it was shocking. I understand there were changes--new ownership, a new chef, things happen. It feels like a downgrade across the board. What's frustrating isn't just the bad experience--it's what this place used to be. This was one of my go-to spots every time I came to Vegas.
