Excellent dining experience at this breakfast and lunch spot off College and Horizon, with outstanding food and service. The beans were , coffee was good too. The staff was attentive & very nice Restaurant is a bit small but is well kept up and clean. Definitely recommend trying this place if you're in the area. ** CHORIZO BREAKFAST PLATE Two eggs scrambled with chorizo, served with refried beans, and choice of side; Choice of corn or flour tortilla.

Service was 10/10 but unfortunately the food missed the mark . We waited 35 min for our food and it was just average . 3/10 Eggs Benedict the toast was soggy and the flavor was bland the country potato were not even edible they were so spicy . The waffle sampler 5/10was pretty decent but my bacon was burnt in apple bacon. They gave us a discount for the wait but I definitely would not recommend this place .

Great food! -Country fried steak (5/5): gravy was so yummy, I'll try biscuits and gravy next time -Pesto sandwich (5/5): really tasty They also give you some tortilla chips with beans/salsa upon ordering. Also very yummy. I'm glad I live close to this place. Will definitely be back!

Great new spot for authentic Mexican breakfast and lunch. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the cozy seating makes it a comfortable place to relax and enjoy your meal. We had excellent customer service, thank you Alissa! Definitely worth checking out!

Mom's Kitchen is a hidden gem in Henderson. The coffee is hot and fresh, food flavorful and delicious. It's got a Mexican twist and we enjoy the Mexican breakfast options. The highlight is always the biscuits and gravy. For me, best in the city. Our server was Amanda and she not only was joyous but she was prompt and the service was even better than t

Yelp! review #57 of 2025 Stopped in for a quick lunch and left stuffed and happy. Mom's is back to being our go-to spot! I ordered the chilaquiles (huge plate, perfect amount of sauce, crispy chips, tons of toppings) and added a side of steak cooked medium. Steak was tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. My wife got the Buffalo chicken wrap and couldn't stop raving about it. Portions are legitimately massive; I'm a big eater and still couldn't finish everything, so I happily took the rest home and enjoyed round two later that night. Prices are very fair for the amount of food you get. Service has noticeably improved since our last few visits, friendly staff, food came out reasonably quick, no long waits like before. If you haven't been to Mom's in a while, give it another shot. Everything was fresh, tasty, and the whole experience felt like they've really stepped it up. We'll be back way sooner than last time! Highly recommend.

Cute little brunch spot , and good customer service everyone was very nice ! Everything was fresh hot and really did taste like it was homemade and right out of a home kitchen. They were fairly busy so I did have to wait a few minutes for a couple things but overall really nice place I will be returning to

So delicious! I just wish I would have ordered the full biscuits and gravy - it was that good. (my waist didn't need it) Very friendly staff - took the time to chat. We will definitely be back. Oh - I also recommend the green juice.

Do they serve alcohol?

They have Mimosas and beer, not sure about wine!

What oil do you use to cook with? Canola, soy, etc?

Vegetable oil

Are there any desserts? I don't see them on any of the photos of the menu

The only dessert we've seen on the menu is flan. But the smoothies might qualify.

Does anyone have the recipe for the Bean appetizer? We loved it!

Yes they are made with love ☺️

Do you need to make a reservation?

Definitely a diner. No reservations.

Any vegan/gluten-free options?

There are vegetarian options for sure because we ordered a breakfast wrap that was vegetarian. I believe this place is so amenable that they would certainly help you out as I think they have some slant towards Mexican. They had a enchilada pie that…

Is there any entree that is gluten free here? Does this restaurant use a shared fryer for things like flour tortilla taquitos that would cross contaminate gluten free corn tortilla chips? I have Celiac disease and have to eat gluten free.

They do serve gluten free bread it is a gluten free bread with a $2.00 up charge. And they do not use the same fryer

It wasn't bad at all, but it didn't taste like traditional Mexican posole -- it leaned more toward a Tex-Mex flavor. Again, not bad, just not what I personally look for when I'm craving authentic posole. I also love that it's not overly popular to the point where you're waiting forever to be seated. It has a nice, relaxed vibe. That said, I really hope they get more clientele because they deserve it -- I'd love to see them expand and grow. Definitely a hidden gem!

I had chicken and my daughter ordered the shrimp. They came with rice and refried beans. I've ordered these at various Mexican restaurants and received rice and beans that were very dry! That was not the case at Hussongs. Those sides were moist and flavorful. The fajitas were sizzling hot and chicken was tender and seasoned. Even the peppers and onions included with the fajitas were cooked fully and meshed so well with the chicken and shrimp. We also ordered blackberry margaritas which were properly frozen and were delicious! My daughter and I enjoyed everything and were glad we gave this place a try! We'll definitely be back! Borracha, which translates directly to a state of inebriation, is the Mexican restaurant and bar inside Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa and Casino in Henderson. This casino surprised me with promotional dining offers this month, so I decided to take advantage of that to visit at least one spot which I previously hadn't. I waited until Saturday night and predictably had to settle for seat at the bar, which was pretty packed, to avoid a long wait. It was pretty busy, but a bartender eventually got to me and took my order. She also offered free chips and salsa, which were pretty solid. The chips are crunchy and plentiful, and the salsa is a pureed red salsa that's mild enough. My actual order was not as exciting though. The Carne Asada Steak Tacos ($19.00) came with a good amount of steak, but they were all cubed rather than sliced, which kept them pretty chewy. The sauce was something really bland and dark red rather than the chimichurri which was described on the menu, and I found myself adding the complimentary salsa from the chips to help. The rice was also too dry and the side of beans was very unremarkable. Borracha doesn't appear to be some hidden gem which I've been missing all these years, but rather just a bar with some relatively affordable eats for those who are hoping for a step above the food court but don't want American fare. Maybe I'll try a couple more entrees with the upcoming weeks' dining credits, or maybe not. If you aren't coming here for happy hour, I would just skip it entirely.

After our last trip when we received absolutely crap service and the manager tried to make it right by comping us, she indicated that the next meal "was on her" and urged us to come back "and give them another chance".. I took her at her word and contacted the restaurant to let her know that I was going to bring my wife and her parents to the restaurant for her birthday. So I contacted the restaurant and informed them that we wanted a reservation for four and that was my wife's birthday. I was contacted and told that they would do something special. We showed up and the front girl was "perfunctory at best". We were seated and waited 20 minutes before we received any water or chips. However, the staff was busy bustling to set this large table in the middle of the dining room for a group that wouldn't show up for 10 minutes. They literally had their chips, salsa, water etc. 10 minutes before we did and we weren't even there. When we did get a waitress she was perfunctory and less than friendly. When I told her we were there for my wife's birthday her answer was "oh that's nice". Far cry from "we will make the evening special for you". We got our food which was fine but absolutely nothing. Throughout the meal the waitress spent all of her time chatting with the large group in the middle - obviously her friends or whatever because they got five star service while we were simply ignored. If we wanted to get a refill of a glass of water or in my father-in-law's case, some sour cream, had to literally get up and pull her away from her buddy table to get service. In addition, not a happy birthday, dessert nothing. So much for trusting the manager when she said that she was going to comp the meal or even at the minimum do something to celebrate the birthday. If we went to something as mundane as Applebee's my wife would've got a piece of cheesecake lol. Very disappointed in this place. We love the food but the service is just crap.
