What a cute place! Its a small diner type of place with a family feel. Everyone was really nice especially our server, Amanda. I didn't get a picture of it because we ate it so quickly but they serve chips, salsa and beans while you're waiting for your food. So tasty! I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and although it wasn't authentic, it did satisfy my craving. It came with cheesy garlic bread and that made the dish better. My beatie ordered the tuna melt with fries. She said the only thing she would've changed was the cheese as she said it would've tasted better with cheddar. The fries are cut fresh from real potatoes. We waited 35 min for our food and it was just average . 3/10 Eggs Benedict the toast was soggy and the flavor was bland the country potato were not even edible they were so spicy . I ordered the chilaquiles (huge plate, perfect amount of sauce, crispy chips, tons of toppings) and added a side of steak cooked medium. Steak was tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. My wife got the Buffalo chicken wrap and couldn't stop raving about it. Portions are legitimately massive; I'm a big eater and still couldn't finish everything, so I happily took the rest home and enjoyed round two later that night. Prices are very fair for the amount of food you get. Service has noticeably improved since our last few visits, friendly staff, food came out reasonably quick, no long waits like before. If you haven't been to Mom's in a while, give it another shot. Everything was fresh, tasty, and the whole experience felt like they've really stepped it up. We'll be back way sooner than last time! First time in--a dice adventure but my choice. I had heard about this restaurant and decided to give it a shot, I called my brother who has a car (I don't) and in we went. Wendy was the waitress, she greeted us and was very friendly. We sat down at a small table and we were brought chips and salsa and beans which was different but nice. You know, Country music playing in the background, The American Flag hanging on the wall.. Not very big inside. But people kept coming in... So, from the time we ordered to the time we got the food it was 35 mins...which was a long wait... My hashbrowns were way overcooked so I didn't end up eating those :( The eggs were perfectly cooked. My brother's food was good, the portions were big he said.... I also ordered a Blueberry Watermelon refresher to go and that was amazing--he wanted the special, Pumpkin Bread pudding but it wasn't available, it wasn't cooked yet which I thought was a bit strange... why offer something that isn't available? I do not believe I will choose to go back but I will add it to the dice list and if the die brings it up, give it a second chance. This place was packed on a Saturday morning. It was our first time there and it seems like they get a lot of regulars. I thought our wait time was a little long. But our server was very nice and checked on us frequently making sure our coffee was always topped off. I like that they use thick slices of bacon. My shredded pepper jack wasn't melted. There was also a hair in the water cup that was given to us. Our server apologized and got us a new cup. Mom's Kitchen is a nice cozy family-owned restaurant in Henderson. You'll find them on Horizon and College Drive, hidden behind a fast food. There's good parking available. The restaurant is owned by Josh's grandmother. It initially opened in March 2020 but had to close and then reopened in January 2021. Since then, the place has been flourishing nicely with weekends being their most busiest. Inside is spacious and clean with ample seating and good music. Every table has condiments for flavoring and extra straws. Menu offers a nice selection of traditional breakfast plates like New York steak and eggs, Mexican dish, eggs benedict, omelettes, burritos & breakfast sandwich, buttermilk pancake, as well as lunch starter, salad, pasta, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, and kids menu. I ordered Walnut Strawberry Salad ($15.75) with shrimp (+$5), which is pretty good and very filling! It has a generous portion, plenty of vibrant mixed greens with chewy cranberries, crunchy walnuts, sweet strawberries and blueberries tossed in balsamic vinaigrette and has blue cheese crumbles. I tried with blue cheese but somehow it didn't quite match the salad. Personally, I think blue cheese goes perfectly well with Cobb salad because there's a pronounced savoryness from chicken and bacon. If there's fruit, feta cheese would be a more favorable choice to use in the salad because it balances the sweetness and texture. I also had Green juice ($9.75) which is absolutely delightful and super refreshing! It's like a smoothie with a beautiful blend of sweet pineapple, banana, celery, apple, a zest of ginger, spinach and fresh squeeze orange juice, so yummy and fantastic! Service from Josh is very kind, welcoming, attentive and friendly! I noticed my table was a little shaky. Josh is so polite and courteous, he saw the table moving before I mentioned, and came by to secure it so it doesn't shake, which I greatly appreciate! The food was just ok. It's very pricey for the area and they added gratuity to the bill without my consent based on number of plates we had. I wish I had not agreed to pay that amount of gratuity for 3 people but I was too embarrassed to decline it.
