The authentic flavors are all there. Being Mexican at times it's hard to find authentic flavors in restaurants but Moms Kitchen hit every authentic flavor there is. From the warm welcome, to the warm plates of food placed on our table made me feel as if I was sitting in my grandmothers kitchen table. My heart and my belly left happy :) Me and my family will most definitely be back time and time again

Service was 10/10 but unfortunately the food missed the mark . We waited 35 min for our food and it was just average . 3/10 Eggs Benedict the toast was soggy and the flavor was bland the country potato were not even edible they were so spicy . The waffle sampler 5/10was pretty decent but my bacon was burnt in apple bacon. They gave us a discount for the wait but I definitely would not recommend this place .

Yelp! review #57 of 2025 Stopped in for a quick lunch and left stuffed and happy. Mom's is back to being our go-to spot! I ordered the chilaquiles (huge plate, perfect amount of sauce, crispy chips, tons of toppings) and added a side of steak cooked medium. Steak was tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. My wife got the Buffalo chicken wrap and couldn't stop raving about it. Portions are legitimately massive; I'm a big eater and still couldn't finish everything, so I happily took the rest home and enjoyed round two later that night. Prices are very fair for the amount of food you get. Service has noticeably improved since our last few visits, friendly staff, food came out reasonably quick, no long waits like before. If you haven't been to Mom's in a while, give it another shot. Everything was fresh, tasty, and the whole experience felt like they've really stepped it up. We'll be back way sooner than last time! Highly recommend.

Mom's Kitchen is a hidden gem in Henderson. The coffee is hot and fresh, food flavorful and delicious. It's got a Mexican twist and we enjoy the Mexican breakfast options. The highlight is always the biscuits and gravy. For me, best in the city. Our server was Amanda and she not only was joyous but she was prompt and the service was even better than t

Cute little brunch spot , and good customer service everyone was very nice ! Everything was fresh hot and really did taste like it was homemade and right out of a home kitchen. They were fairly busy so I did have to wait a few minutes for a couple things but overall really nice place I will be returning to

So delicious! I just wish I would have ordered the full biscuits and gravy - it was that good. (my waist didn't need it) Very friendly staff - took the time to chat. We will definitely be back. Oh - I also recommend the green juice.

    Do they serve alcohol?

They have Mimosas and beer, not sure about wine!

What oil do you use to cook with? Canola, soy, etc?

    Vegetable oil

Are there any desserts? I don't see them on any of the photos of the menu

The only dessert we've seen on the menu is flan. But the smoothies might qualify.

Does anyone have the recipe for the Bean appetizer? We loved it!

Yes they are made with love ☺️

Do you need to make a reservation?

    Definitely a diner. No reservations.

    Any vegan/gluten-free options?

There are vegetarian options for sure because we ordered a breakfast wrap that was vegetarian. I believe this place is so amenable that they would certainly help you out as I think they have some slant towards Mexican. They had a enchilada pie that…

Is there any entree that is gluten free here? Does this restaurant use a shared fryer for things like flour tortilla taquitos that would cross contaminate gluten free corn tortilla chips? I have Celiac disease and have to eat gluten free.

They do serve gluten free bread it is a gluten free bread with a $2.00 up charge. And they do not use the same fryer

When you open the door, the first thing you are greeted with is the pastry rack in front of you. I swear, I gained 10 lb. Just looking at it. So many amazing things to look at and see absolutely wonderful. Another thing I have to brag about is how friendly everyone is there. You walk in the door and you are greeted literally by everyone. Really makes you feel at home and invited in to experience everything that they have. I opted for the tiramisu latte, and it was fantastic! Definitely had a perfect coffee flavor, and the terramisu flavoring was not overly sweet but actually was perfect. I had the bacon breakfast croissant with egg and it was wonderful. Perfectly balanced, the flavors were there, and the bacon was excellent! This is definitely one we are going to add for our go-to breakfast places when in Vegas. Super excited to try everything on the menu! Bottom line? If you have not gone to horizon shine, you are missing out. Top of your must-go places and I swear you will not be disappointed! You will probably see me there again! If so, feel free to buy me a pastry.

After hearing about Omelet House for literally years while living in Las Vegas for over 20 years, I…read morewas genuinely excited when we pulled in for breakfast. Unfortunately, the experience was such a complete disappointment that I felt compelled to write this review. I ordered eggs over medium. They arrived with raw, runny, uncooked egg whites. Not once. Not twice. Three separate times. After the third attempt, I gave up. If a restaurant that specializes in breakfast can't properly cook eggs after three tries, that's a serious problem. To their credit, they comped my breakfast. However, what happened next was far more disappointing than the food itself. The owner came over while we were checking out. Rather than addressing me -- the person who actually had the issue -- he spoke exclusively to my dining companion and never once looked at me, acknowledged me, apologized to me, or treated me as though I even existed. I've honestly never experienced anything quite so rude or dismissive in a restaurant. I mentioned that I had previously owned two restaurants myself and understand that mistakes happen. His response? He said he had looked at the first two plates of eggs himself, but never once acknowledged whether they were prepared correctly or incorrectly. No accountability. No explanation. No apology. Just indifference and disrespect. I have to be honest: the way I was completely ignored while he spoke only to the man I was dining with left me with the personal impression that my opinion simply didn't matter to him. Whether intentional or not, that was exactly how it felt, and it made an already disappointing experience even worse. I've worked in hospitality. I understand that food can occasionally come out wrong. What I don't understand is treating a customer with such blatant disregard and disrespect, especially when they're giving you the opportunity to make things right. After waiting years to finally try Omelet House, I can honestly say it was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in Las Vegas. Bad eggs can be fixed. Bad service can sometimes be forgiven. But being treated as though you are invisible by the owner of the establishment is something I won't forget. I will not be returning, and I certainly won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone. After reading the response from Fred's wife Kelly here's my response to her because I have no way to comment to her response: Kelly, Thank you for taking the time to respond and for explaining Fred's visual impairment. I was completely unaware that he is legally blind, and had I known that at the time, I certainly would not have interpreted his lack of eye contact as intentional. I sincerely regret any hurt caused by my misunderstanding of that aspect of the interaction. That said, my review reflected my genuine experience as a customer. After receiving eggs with uncooked whites three separate times, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. While you did apologize and attempt to rectify the situation, I still felt that my concerns were not fully addressed, and that was the experience I shared. I have owned restaurants myself and understand that mistakes happen in any business. My disappointment stemmed not only from the food issues, but from how the overall experience felt from my perspective as a guest who had looked forward to visiting Omelet House for many years. I appreciate you providing additional context about Fred, and I wish both of you and the restaurant the best.

Pink Duck Kitchen is a local Filipino-American fusion brunch restaurant that has maintained solid Yelp ratings and recently garnered a spot on the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Top 100 restaurants of 2025. Seeing as how it's the last Henderson spot which I hadn't tried, I decided to rectify that oversight today. I was thinking breakfast at first, but the Lamb Sandwich ($17.99) caught my eye. After clarifying the form of protein with the server, I said yes to this offering. I'm glad I did because it's a stunner. To start with, the bun is nice and soft. The pulled lamb is so tender and surprisingly free from gamy flavor, and whatever it's braised in does so much work making it irresistibly tasty. Then the tzatziki creaminess, tomato umaminess, and even the banana pepper tanginess really round out the flavors. Even the cucumber slices are perfectly portioned to add some crispiness and flavor. Fries come with the sandwich. I was hesitant since they were thick and also very brown. Fortunately, they were soft and fluffy inside, and there was enough crisp from the potato skins. They were actually a little undersalted too, but when I finally flagged down the server for some ketchup, I unlocked the code. The fries are just about perfect with a healthy amount of that Heinz goodness. I did get a bite of breakfast though. My friend's Ube Pancakes ($14.99) were cited as a dish to try on that top 100 list, and I can see why. There's plenty of ube flavor, and a good balance of a lightly crispy exterior and soft interior. The fresh mango and berries were a great touch, as was the whipped cream on the side. I'll have to have a full dish for myself one day. It wasn't as packed when we arrived as I was anticipating; I guess Sunday brunch invites a late-morning crowd though, since it started filling up. Music was top 40 stuff and not too loud. Really my only issue was the water not being ice cold. I've gotta come back to Pink Duck Kitchen since they have such a fun variety on their menu and they're one of the closest interesting restaurants to my side of town. If you live across town, it's actually drive-worthy for that lambwich alone.

We arrived at 11am, and while the vibe inside was lively and the decor was really cool (modern with Pink Duck vibes), we hit a bit of a snag right away. Despite seeing several empty tables, we were told there'd be about a 15-minute wait. Honestly, that was a little frustrating, especially when you're hungry and can clearly see open spots. We almost considered trying somewhere else, but decided to stick it out. And I'm so glad we did, because from the moment we were seated, the service was absolutely stellar! Our server, gave us great recommendations and made sure our drinks were always full. The rest of the staff we interacted with were equally friendly and efficient, they really turned the initial annoyance around. The fusion dishes here aren't just creative for creativity's sake; they're genuinely well-executed and thoughtfully balanced. $15.99 Fried Chicken & Ube Waffle - This was my dish, loved it. $16.99 Banana Nut Bread French Toast with Carmelized "Banana Cue" We went family style on this and I would order again. $16.99 Pork Belly Burger $15.99 Breakfast Burrito Everything felt fresh, vibrant, and celebrated both Filipino and American culinary traditions without either overpowering the other. The creativity in combining these flavors was executed well. I'd definitely visit Pink Duck again to sample more interesting dishes I saw on the menu. Mabuhay!
