Inside Chuy's clean dining area. Lots of Baja beach vibes!

Before moving to Henderson, I lived in Ventura County and was happy to hear that Chuy's was opening up a location nearby. In Simi Valley, they had quite an extensive menu and it appears that this concept has taken some of the more popular items to focus on a handful of options. Their location is a little shopping center off of St. Rose and Paseo Verde, with plenty of parking. Inside, there was definitely a Baja coastal taco shop vibe, which I liked. A nice touch is that they have three television screens of live webcams of various locales. Cool seeing live beaches and other sites while we ate. We were greeted promptly by who I believe was the owner and she was very friendly and welcoming! Wife and I each ordered the 3-taco plate...I had two asada and one shrimp and wife had two asada and one al pastor. The tacos were nicely plated and they were filled with plenty of protein and toppings. The asada had great flavor and was cooked nicely. The shrimp was delicious. The mango salsa was a perfect compliment to the grilled shrimp. My wife thought the al pastor was birria-like, not what we would normally consider al pastor. If there was another gripe about the tacos is that the corn tortillas were not grilled or heated enough...so they were sort of doughy tasting. All-in-all, I will be back to try some of the other items. Prices were a little high, but not out of the realm of reality...after all, what does not cost a lot in the current economy.

Very clean and bright quick service restaurant! I saw they recently opened on Instagram and wanted to stop in for lunch. The manager explained lunch specials, like a burger, fries, and a drink for a great price! She also mentioned Doordash deals as well. I took a lunch special burger to go! For my inside dining meal, I tried the 3 tacos, which included birra, chicken, and tri tip - all no cheese. They were bursting with flavor and crunch, with a little spice. All tasted fresh and encompassed the store's Cal-Mex vibe. Sweet potato fries are crisp with a touch of sweetness and a plentiful serving. The menu board has an abridged version of the menu and for the full ingredients and more description, there is a card on the counter with a QR code. Inside, the seating is either a wooden chair or bright green plastic one, which are comfy and near the claw machine. There is also an outside patio that will be a fun place to relax when the weather cools down. They are building a bar, so keep an eye out for drink specials once that opens!

Tri tip, carne asada, and mahi taco.. the mahi was great with a lot of flavors thanks to the mango pickled onions and sauces.

Chill vibe, the place is clean and the service was great. Good people good food you should try.

CHUYs is delicious and fresh! I ordered the shrimp taco, birria taco, and carne asada taco. All three delivered a fresh taste with good flavor. I also really liked their healthier beverage options.

The inside was nicely decorated and was cozy. Service was prompt and the servers were attentive. We ordered some drinks which were pretty good. This is not a place where they provide free chips and salsa and we ordered also ordered some for the table along with the guacamole. Everything tasted fresh, maybe a little too much lime in the guacamole though. The place felt like something between a chain Mexican restaurant and Javier's but smaller. There are reasonably priced dishes or you can get a tomahawk steak as well. There seemed to be something for everyone to choose from in different price ranges. At the end of the meal the bill was about $100 for my hubby and me or $200 for the table including tax and tip. A pleasant place with good food that I'd be willing to return to.

Shrimp cocktail is huge. Fresh guacamole is chunky, flavorful, and not too spicy, plus includes lots of chips. I also ordered the chips with salsa and bean dip and wish the sides were larger. They even took my special request for no dairy. The entire meal was made exactly as I requested and correctly. Which is really important and will keep me ordering again, as not every restaurant has attention to detail like Lindo Michoacan. While I enjoy visiting the restaurant, ordering at home is so pleasant and fast - highly recommend! I got lots of hot sauce to spice things up for my taste. I love the flavors and the entire meal was so good, I had to stop myself from eating it all because I always order extra for leftovers. The restaurant staff packed everything so well and even covered it in Saran Wrap so it wouldn't spill - probably the best packed delivery I've ever gotten!

The servers and bus staff were all friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The complimentary soup, salsa, and chips were all good with nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the main course was a bit disappointing. The chicken in the enchiladas was dry, and the beef in the tacos was also dry, which took away from the overall meal since they're the stars of the dish. I did notice the restaurant was very busy, so I'm sure there are plenty of popular menu items that people enjoy. I'd definitely come back for the view and service, but next time I'd probably skip the meat tacos and enchiladas and try something else on the menu.
