My first time ordering from here. It was a catering order for my husband's birthday. I called and spoke to the GM and he answered all my questions. I ordered a taco service for 7-20 people and everything was included down to the plates, napkins and silverware. They even provided the utensils! When I picked up the order the restaurant smelled amazing! It was packed! It's on the small side for the location but in sure they will outgrow it quickly! It's good for families. The staff were so gracious as they brought my order to my car! We had chicken and carne asada, black beans, rice and half corn and half flour tortillas. The salsas were hot and mild and delicious. Had the three taco plate Fish taco: zero flavor tiny piece of fish with unseasoned cabbage. Would not recommend Birria taco: didn't dip the tortillas in consume and fry on a flat top. Meat was okay. Consume broth was decent. Although it's an okay birria taco. I probably order again. Ban Mi taco: meat was gritty, pickled vegetables sub par. 0/10 would not recommend. Nothing flowed at all with this taco Tortillas: overall very thick and soft. If you like that style it might be great. I'll have to come back and try other menu items. But the two out of the three tacos were a let down. Get the birria. It's okay but you won't be disappointed eating the other two. read more

If this location could make a good taco, they'd have a line out the door and we would be here every Sunday. I've been coming here for nearly a decade and the quality has been consistent the entire time. Even after moving further away I still find excuses to make my way back. If you can handle heat the habanero salsa is a game changer. I wanted to share an experience I had with the owner. On the day before Christmas Eve a few years ago I stopped in after Christmas shopping right before closing. The owner was helping clear up shop for the holiday and started a conversation with me. I found out he was from Philadelphia and was familiar with the university I attended. He then gifted me with multiple catering sized containers of salsa which was an act of kindness I still think about to this day. They had the audacity to make a Philly cheesesteak torta, calling it the (Phillycano) I got to tell you this maybe my new staple comfort meal. We ordered it in the torta style, which is with bread. The bread was amazing. The meat was perfectly cooked, smothered in onions, peppers, and cheese. We even tried the exact same except in a burrito style and since were healthy minded, we also got it in a protein style with no bread or tortilla If you're looking for a treat and you're at The district by all means try the Phillycano.. 5/5 Also they made hot apple & cherry pies, (DO NOT TRY) they maybe habit forming. Visited here 7/13/25. Walked in and placed my order. One of my items was prepared incorrectly and the burrito ended up having beans in it. When I called about this issue they advised me if I would like to have it remade or a refund issued. I opted for a refund. I waited 14 days to allow time for a refund to be issued. Service is great, everyone is so nice and considerate, especially the waitress working tonight. Outdoor seating next to the water play area is peaceful in nice weather and it's great they bring the food out to you. This review is mainly regarding the food. I don't suggest coming here if you're looking for authentic tacos or if you're gluten free. I am gluten sensitive and usually tacos are gluten free at taquerias. I was told that for some reason all the meat options except chicken were not gluten free because of the spices used, which is quite odd. Also the tater tots were not gluten free which also struck me as odd since tots are not typically breaded. Mind you, the staff were very kind and patient about my questions and I super appreciate that. I chose chicken tacos as that was my only option and my husband chose carnitas and barbacoa and we split some nachos. The chicken is not what I expected at all; it was just shredded chicken with not much flavor except salt. My husband said his tacos were just salty, not much flavor either. The nachos were pretty underwhelming as well but were better than the tacos. Suffice to say we did not even close to finish our food, it was that flavorless. It's edible if you need a quick bite, but I am used to real tacos and feel like this was a waste of calories. Great staff but disappointing food IMO. read more

Other than tacos, they offer burritos, bowls, salad, nachos, and agua frescas. I had the 2 taco combo and chose the following: * Chicken Taco - decent. The shredded chicken was a little dry, so I drizzled some extra salsa to bump up the flavor. * Fish Taco - better than the chicken. I liked the sauce that was included. * Tortilla chips - a handful of chips were included. They tasted good. * Guacamole- thick and fresh. No spice, but it still had good flavor. [Service] Excellent! The cashiers were friendly and someone stopped by our table to check on us after our food arrived. Overall: pretty good. We lingered and chatted without feeling rushed for our table. Enjoyed a nice lunch here today with the fam while attending an event at The District Mall. We actually were planning to eat art the Ramen store next door but found that they had closed shop so decided on tacos. They have a good variety of tacos, burritos, and salad bowls, along with a mixture of refreshments such as beer, wine, and their housemade Sangrias (white and red). I ordered the 3 Taco mix and match (pork belly bahn mi, Carne Asada, and fish), while my godson had a steak and egg burrito, and his mom ordered a black bean salad (minus the black bean lol) with kalbi added. The burrito was really good in both taste and size, enough for two. The salad had some great flavor as well, even tho the "kalbi" was made with ground beef rather than slices of meat. The tacos were okay (I've had better), but they were fresh, and each dish came with a side of tortilla chips. The Bahn Mi lacked some of the traditional ingredients such as cilantro, and the pork was a bit dry, but overall, okay. The other two tacos were good as well, but as I said, nothing really special. I liked the fact they had wine and Sangria. I tried the red wine Sangria, which was refreshing. I was hoping for a bit more sweetness, so maybe next time, I'll try the white Sangria. They were really packed, with a line to the door all afternoon, but orders came out fairly quickly, and the prices are reasonable, and the service is good. Walking around the District for a little while on Saturday, and something smelled GOOD. We stumbled upon Me Gusta Tacos and realized that the wonderful smell was coming from here! We couldn't resist the mix and match 3 taco deal, so we ordered: Korean Kalbi (x2): Sweet Soy Ginger Steak, Asian Cabbage Slaw Barbacoa (x2): Braised Chipotle Beef, Diced Onion, Cilantro Fish taco: Pan Seared Cod, Red Cabbage, Cilantro, Wasabi Crema Carne Asada: Charbroiled Marinated Steak, Pico, Queso Fresco We also got chips and 3 kinds of salsa, and a delicious agua fresca. I think it was basil pineapple? Super tasty, and not overly sweet. The tacos were divine. The Korean kalbi is the best of all of them. It was super flavorful. The barbacoa was also pretty good. Very juicy. Make sure to get a couple napkins. I LOVED the fish taco. the fish was seasoned beautifully, and the wasabi crema packed a nice little punch. The carne asada was ok. It would have been better with a little sauce of some kind, but it was still good. (We poured a little salsa on it which helped.) All of the salsas were delicious...according to my husband. I didn't try the habanero one because even he said it was super hot, and I am a wimp of epic proportions. All in all, definitely worth a try! We'll be finding ourselves out here more frequently, and will absolutely be getting those kalbi tacos again. read more
