I pass this place all the time and am always curious about it but have never stopped in. I finally decided to give it a try for a date night and it did not dissapoint. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The decorations in this place are plentiful and very visually interesting. There is literally so much to look at in here but it's not too crazy overwhelming. Our server was great. She made sure to check in on us a lot and made sure my husband did not get any cilantro. Much appreciated. The cocktails were good and I'd like to come in to try more. The food was super good and I'd definitely come back in to have more of it. This is an update to my previous review. Unfortunately it has to be the worst review I've ever left for a restaurant. After our last trip when we received absolutely crap service and the manager tried to make it right by comping us, she indicated that the next meal "was on her" and urged us to come back "and give them another chance".. I took her at her word and contacted the restaurant to let her know that I was going to bring my wife and her parents to the restaurant for her birthday. So I contacted the restaurant and informed them that we wanted a reservation for four and that was my wife's birthday. I was contacted and told that they would do something special. We showed up and the front girl was "perfunctory at best". We were seated and waited 20 minutes before we received any water or chips. However, the staff was busy bustling to set this large table in the middle of the dining room for a group that wouldn't show up for 10 minutes. They literally had their chips, salsa, water etc. 10 minutes before we did and we weren't even there. When we did get a waitress she was perfunctory and less than friendly. When I told her we were there for my wife's birthday her answer was "oh that's nice". Far cry from "we will make the evening special for you". We got our food which was fine but absolutely nothing. Throughout the meal the waitress spent all of her time chatting with the large group in the middle - obviously her friends or whatever because they got five star service while we were simply ignored. If we wanted to get a refill of a glass of water or in my father-in-law's case, some sour cream, had to literally get up and pull her away from her buddy table to get service. In addition, not a happy birthday, dessert nothing. So much for trusting the manager when she said that she was going to comp the meal or even at the minimum do something to celebrate the birthday. If we went to something as mundane as Applebee's my wife would've got a piece of cheesecake lol. Very disappointed in this place. We love the food but the service is just crap. read more

As a Henderson local I've been wanting to try this place for along time. We were under the impression that it was by reservation only so we made one. Although when we arrived it wasn't too busy and I think they were accepting walk-ins. May have been because it was Thursday. The vibe inside is super dope with a lot of vibrant colors and cool decor. Met some friends from out of town here for lunch (on a Thursday) and we had a wonderful time. It was a lovely 70 degree day so we sat on the patio, Brenna was our server. She was welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, management, and wild decor. Turns out, Cantina's linked to Golden Tiki (one of my favorite local bars), makes total sense, especially once you see the bathrooms haha! This place is a maximalist's paradise. No surface has been left untouched, from the floral ceilings to the sexy restrooms, the groovy atmosphere is unique and playful. You can't help but smile when you enter. We had questions and Brenna had answers, and excellent suggestions! With so many options it's great to have someone who knows the menu. We each tried various margaritas, my favorite was the guava - may be the best in Vegas... We also shared the queso dip which was so yummy, hard to stop eating - chips and salsa are good on their own, but try the cheese. The main dishes were huge, large enough to share, if you're so inclined. The chili relleno was crispy and full of cheese, and the enchiladas looked amazing although I didn't try them, I will next time. Beans and rice were well seasoned and complimentary to the meal although both seemed a little dry, most people wouldn't notice. This place is all about the ambience and it has some pretty great prices for being in the Green Valley shopping mall area. We went in on a Saturday night and of course made a reservation...this is a must on a weekend, because the place is not too big..even with a patio. We both ordered some beer zombie beers listed on the menu...waitress came back and said we ran out of those and gave us 4 to choose from. I got the negra modelo which they did have, but they did not have yet another beer for hub, so he went with the corona premier...we were sadly a little disappointed by this and I hope it was isolated...I really like local beers so I hope this gets fixed. Hub ordered two carne asada tacos and I got the cheese enchilada plate..we shared my rice and beans. The food was good, but lacked any real spice. Even the salsa really does not have a kick to it..so this is a milder Mexican cuisine. I would come back and try to ask for some extra spice...might order something different. I am from Cali where you can find a multitude of great Mexican food so my expectations were high. Well, I must say that they did not disappoint. The presentation was beautiful (sorry I didn't take pics I was too busy inhaling the delicious food) the food was delicious and the service was amazing. I ordered a fajita trio that had chicken, carne asada and huge gulf shrimp. Not that baby shrimp. Everything was seasoned seperately to compliment the flavors of the protiens and seafood. How does 50% off Margaritas on Mondays sound? Sounds good to us! We've passed by Cantina Tequila restaurant many times and I think it used to be a skinny fats before. The vibe here is great, service at the bar was fantastic, and we throughly enjoyed! We tried the food and the gringo tacos were exactly that. A hard shell will hamburger meat and maybe a little too much seasoning, but not bad. The carne asada tacos were decent too, not the best but extremely passable to get your feed on without breaking the bank. We were also told that they have taco Tuesday half off of tacos as well! This was our first visit here & we really enjoyed our experience. Good food with great service & reasonable prices. I went with the chicken fajita's & they were delicious! Hot, sizzling with plenty of sour cream, pico & guacamole to smear on top. The Mrs had their queso enchiladas that she just loved. Covered in a red sauce & stuffed with their house blend of cheeses, it looked wonderful. Of course we both had a frozen prickly pear margarita with tajin around the rim of the glass. Quite tasty. I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to your restaurant. I live in Henderson and have dined with you a few times before, always enjoying both the atmosphere and the food. Because of those positive experiences, I chose to bring my family, who were visiting from California. We arrived while it was still light out, and the ambiance was lovely--the open doors, fresh breeze, and sunset created a very pleasant setting. However, as it got darker, the lighting became insufficient, making it difficult to see our table. Unfortunately, this also prevented us from taking a group photo. Our server appeared to be overwhelmed, which may have contributed to some communication issues. For example, I ordered sweet tea for my five-year-old son, but was not informed that it was unsweetened brewed tea, which he did not enjoy. Additionally, my daughter and my son's girlfriend ordered the enchiladas but were not advised that the sauce was sweet. This was unexpected, as enchiladas are typically more traditional in flavor. As a result, one dish was returned and replaced with ceviche, and the other was left unfinished due to dissatisfaction. one of the enchiladas remained on the bill. I want to acknowledge that I did not raise these concerns during the visit, as the server seemed either new or very busy. On a positive note, the ceviche was excellent, as it has been on my previous visits, and the birria tacos had generous portions of meat. My family also enjoyed the music and overall vibe of the restaurant. That said, there were a couple of additional concerns. My children were disappointed that horchata was not available, and the restrooms did not appear to be well maintained and had an unpleasant odor. I hope this feedback is helpful. The service and servers, like Hanna, last night have always been attentive and work hard to take care of patrons. While the menu is small, the quality is high and the portions are appropriate. Great guacamole served with chicharrones and flour chips is a cool spin on the traditional. All tables get a fresh serving of red salsa and fresh corn chips. I was on a work trip and we stayed in Henderson, took an uber to this place with the crew. As I walked into the restaurant I really love the decor and ambiance of the location. The way they decorated the restaurant was beautiful! I like the floral hanging down from the ceiling and the color scheme, very festive. I ordered two tacos, a carnitas taco and a carne asada taco, both were delicious! They were bursting with flavors, the carne asada was really tender. The tortillas were freshly made, you can taste the difference. You do get free chips and salsa, we did order guacamole to share. It was delicious! The decoration of the place alone is a good reason to visit and if you can get an opportunity to have a table in the patio area before is too hot in Vegas, I highly recommend you take it. It was my first time here. We celebrated my boss's bday we had a reservation of 20 at 1:00 pm. When you first walk in there is a full bar to the left. The indoor decor goes well with the Mexican theme. The restrooms had 2 bathroom stalls and while washing your hands I heard a voice say something princessa pretty cool. The chips and salsa that they serve were pretty good the chips were well seasoned crispy and hot. Majority the table ordered the fajitas I ordered the steak fajita and it was fire. It came with rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and your choice of corn of flour tortillas. The steak and bell peppers had really great flavors. Their burritos were huge as hell. My boss got it with all 3 salsas red, green and white. The customer service was great our served continued to check on us to see if we needed anything. The restaurant had a good amount of tables and chairs. They also had seating outside however it was too hot to sit out there. I absolutely love Cantina Tequila! I came here for my birthday dinner and had the best time. The food was amazing, everything we ordered was flavorful and fresh, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming which made the night even better. The décor is honestly one of my favorite parts. My brother took me here on a recent visit to town. It's one of his favorite places to bring out-of-town guests, and it's easy to see why. The vibe is bustling and colorful and fun. What a fun place to meet a friend for lunch! The decor is over the top and since we've been to Mexico together more than once, we agreed it felt so authentic! We both ordered tacos- I had shrimp and fish, my friend ordered ground beef. Delicious ! And $5 each? How can you beat that? The only hiccup came trying to order a beer.
