Located at the magnificent Green Valley Ranch hotel and casino in Henderson, the Sandbar Grille offers a delightful experience by the poolside. Nestled within the stunning hotel property, this place perfectly complements the beauty of its surroundings, creating a fun and inviting atmosphere for guests and locals to enjoy. With its fabulous pool setup, the Sandbar Grille sits right at the heart of this aquatic paradise. The pool area boasts a range of amenities, including a spacious sand pool, smaller kiddy pools for the little ones, and luxurious cabanas that provide a private oasis for relaxation. The entire setting is adorned with lush greenery and vibrant flowers, creating a tropical ambiance that transports people to a tranquil getaway. We just went there for lunch this time. The restaurant welcomes both pool-goers, guests and locals who wish to savor a delightful meal in a picturesque setting. When it comes to the menu, they created a blend of fun and flavor. We tried the veggie wrap and club sandwich, both delicious. They also have a small but refreshing selection of cocktails cocktails. I ordered the strawberry skies comprised of grey goose essences strawberry & lemongrass, sparkling rosé, strawberry purée, and lemon; served frozen. Loved it Adding to the overall ambiance, they sets the mood with a fun curated music mix. The tunes create a lively and energetic atmosphere, the servers were also very friendly. Overall this place is a fun and yummy space to have a casual lunch while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Spa day = lunch from Sandbar Grille! When you get massages services from The Spa @ GVR, you get full access to all amenities. My friend and I always head up to relax by the spa pool. There are menu's on tables and cabana beds just waiting to be browsed. The Sandbar always delivers. The main Sandbar Grille is located by the main casino pool. I haven't actually walked over since their servers are constantly walking around the spa pool area as well. They have provided us great service for every visit. If we ask for something specific or extra of a certain item, our food order has consistently been right. Food and drinks have been prompt and just as ordered. Awesome! Since I'm always there with my foodie friend, we love to share our order so we can try more of the menu. Nachos, of course, are a great sharing plate. Their nachos are abundant and loaded up with ingredients. Guac, sour cream and salsa are the normal condiments which accompany the nachos. Our most recent visit also included the Mahi Tacos. They were so fresh and flavorful. They offered a great spicy kick with is always a bonus in my book. The 3 tacos were filled as much as possible which satisfied our hungry appetite. Other menu items that we have tried include the Turkey BLT, Jerk Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Quesadilla. I wouldn't hesitate to order any of these again. The sandwich plates all include fries on the side choosing either regular or sweet potato. With great service and food, I couldn't ask more from a wonderful relaxing spa day. Thanks Sandbar Grille for great lunches!

Trista and Meghan were FANTASTIC!!!! In the few days we've stayed at the pool. They checked up on us, made sure we were good, and although, leaving Meghan giving her a heart attack thinking we ditched, she still thanked us for coming back. Sorry Meghan. We truly are. We just completely forgot about our bill, super exhausted from the days summer sun. Great service and attitude overall. Thank you both.

A great space with plenty of shade yet close enough to the pool to pop in for a bevvie or some grub! There is seating at the bar and around the bar. The decor is very original for a pool bar and kinda has a 60s/70s vibe. The menu is varied and includes salads, nachos, tacos ($14/$15), hummus ($14), ceviche, and even a shrimp cocktail. They also offer frozen melon balls as a menu option. A full bar is available, and other than beer, prices are too high for my taste. Specialty cocktails served in a pineapple such as the Summer Delight and Pineapple Colada are $20. A "good" deal is the 16oz aluminum bottles for $6 or $7 which usually include Heineken and Bud Lime. The standard 18% gratuity is added on, and they usually stamp that on the bill as a heads up. That is the price you pay for living it up resort style, I suppose.

Running around playing slots like a wild chicken man had left me exhausted and I was becoming uncomfortably lucid. I caught a wave outside the Skyline and rode it down the Boulder Highway. There's a strange swirling energy that ebbs and flows along this highway. It pools in vortices in casinos on either side of the road. It swept me right inside this place. Sunset Station is home of The Gaudi Bar, named after famed Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi (1852-1926). This is one of my favorite places to visit and a great place to work on getting your buzz back. I grabbed a seat and urgently got to work. Sixteen ounces later things were starting to look up. And there's a lot to see here. Now, you don't need to be high to enjoy Gaudi, but his work is all the more delightful if you are. Same with the Gaudi Bar here. The higher, the better. The bar reminds me of an indoor version of Park Guell, the little park designed in the Catalan Modernist style by Gaudi up in the low hills overlooking Barcelona. Straight lines were like an anathema to Gaudi. In his work, everything you expect to be straight is curvy, and he favors brightly colored mosaics pieced together from broken ceramics. The Gaudi Bar at Sunset Station has the same type of architectural columns which support Park Guell. They look like tree trunks, which branch out to support a fancifully scalloped domed ceiling ringing the bar area, with the top of the dome removed to expose a fake blue sky. The ceiling features a number of cutouts for lighting covered with fantastic mosaics, functioning like stained glass windows. Ringing the ceiling are wicked cool red lanterns which look like volcanic stalactites growing through a tangled web of wires and threatening to drip hot lava on the patrons below. The table behind me was filled with what looked to be mayonnaise salesmen celebrating something. I noticed they were sitting directly under a lantern. It occurred to me to warn them about the dripping lava but just then a cocktail waitress came by and I got distracted. When I looked back they were gone. Poor bastards. I finished my beer and hit the penny slots. Mikey C says: Hot Lava!

My brother started doing his usual poo pooing the place, saying, I don't know why we have to go here and that he wouldn't like it and I knew it was going to be good because he was doing this and in the past every place we end up, he ends up loving and this was the case this time as well. The place is dark and foreboding when you first walk in (This is a good thing) It feels very gothic... Strange Macabre pictures, potions and taxidermy scatter the place, you walk pass one room with Tables and chairs and a fireplace and into a larger room with booths, tables (The booth tables move which is good) and this is where the main bar is and where we met Jessie, the bartender, a true delight to deal with. Amazingly fun personality and told her it was our first time and felt very comfortable and welcomed by her. I ordered 50 shades of Grey Witch and my brother got a mocktail, Bubble Bubble Toil & Trouble, he liked his drink and I LOVED MY DRINK. It does come with a Burnt Marshmallow for my Vegan friends, while I did not eat it, I am glad I didn't know because the smell of the burnt Marshmallow filled the glass and every sip had that burnt taste. AMAZING. I WILL ORDER THAT NEXT TIME. Of course my Brother says, what am I eating for dinner, implying it would not be good and that he would need something else along the way to his house.... He ordered pepperoni pizza w/red sauce, I got Vegan cheese & Vegan sausage w/a delicious vegan white sauce and WE BOTH LOVED THEM--SO GOOD, AS THE MENU SAYS "THE BEST PIZZA YOU WILL EVER EAT and this was not a lie, we loved them so much that we each ordered one to go. There was also a casket that I was fascinated with... If you know me, you would know that I felt right at home, in fact, It reminded me quite of bit of the house I grew up in with my Witchy Aunt Helen but that is a story for another time I guess. Jessie gave us a tour and the place is bigger than you realize, they even have a couple of secrets to share if you are lucky enough. I felt like I was in a cross between Dark Shadows and Scooby Doo and I loved it, this is literally my dream place. I may ask if I can rent a room--Just build me a secret one please and Kristen can cook for me, she is amazing too. and I am allergic to mushrooms and she double checked the ingredients before making my dinner so thank you very much! So, this place goes on the return list and hopefully that will be very soon! Yours The Dice Man

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to your restaurant. I live in Henderson…read moreand have dined with you a few times before, always enjoying both the atmosphere and the food. Because of those positive experiences, I chose to bring my family, who were visiting from California. We arrived while it was still light out, and the ambiance was lovely--the open doors, fresh breeze, and sunset created a very pleasant setting. However, as it got darker, the lighting became insufficient, making it difficult to see our table. Unfortunately, this also prevented us from taking a group photo. Our server appeared to be overwhelmed, which may have contributed to some communication issues. For example, I ordered sweet tea for my five-year-old son, but was not informed that it was unsweetened brewed tea, which he did not enjoy. Additionally, my daughter and my son's girlfriend ordered the enchiladas but were not advised that the sauce was sweet. This was unexpected, as enchiladas are typically more traditional in flavor. As a result, one dish was returned and replaced with ceviche, and the other was left unfinished due to dissatisfaction. one of the enchiladas remained on the bill. I want to acknowledge that I did not raise these concerns during the visit, as the server seemed either new or very busy. On a positive note, the ceviche was excellent, as it has been on my previous visits, and the birria tacos had generous portions of meat. My family also enjoyed the music and overall vibe of the restaurant. That said, there were a couple of additional concerns. My children were disappointed that horchata was not available, and the restrooms did not appear to be well maintained and had an unpleasant odor. I hope this feedback is helpful. I truly believe your restaurant has a lot to offer, and I wanted to share our experience so future visits can be even better.

For starters we had the white truffle garlic bread, heirloom and burrata salad, hot honey prosciutto pizza, and the shrimp scampi! The hot honey prosciutto pizza was so good! I loved the spicy but sweet contrast between the two! For entrees I had the squid ink pasta which was delicious! It was definitely a bit spicy but tolerable! It has the perfect amount of seafood, not too much of one type of seafood which was nice; good balance of shrimp, calamari, etc. I really enjoyed the dish. Desserts weren't my fav, unfortunately. We ordered the hazelnut torta & butter cake. Nice presentation, however, we were only able to get a bite in because of how sweet they were. I'm usually a sweets kind of guy, but these desserts were extremely sweet. This was probably the big let down with how good everything else was. Hence the 4-star's oppose to 5. I wanted to like Oak Room, but they're completely missing the mark…read more First, there's no Wi-Fi, which already makes it a bad choice if you want to come here to work or relax for a while. On top of that, they were playing rap/hip hop when the space would make much more sense with chill lounge music, jazz, or oldies. The vibe feels confused. The menu is also poorly positioned for the location. A lot of the items are things I'd much rather get from the surrounding restaurants that do them better. If King's Fish is 10 steps away, or Echo & Rig is nearby, why would I choose to pay $58 for a ribeye here in what feels like an empty gaming bar? Instead of differentiating itself, Oak Room seems to be competing in categories where the nearby spots already win. The place would make far more sense leaning into elevated bar food, small plates, and finger foods. Outside of fries, fried shrimp, and egg rolls, there's not much on the menu that fits the environment. This is not the kind of place people naturally want to go for herb-crusted salmon or a ribeye. I'm writing this more as a favor to the owner than anything else: reevaluate the menu, the music, and the overall positioning. Right now it doesn't feel like a place to work, chill, or have a standout meal -- and the fact that it always seems empty reflects that.
