Located at the magnificent Green Valley Ranch hotel and casino in Henderson, the Sandbar Grille offers a delightful experience by the poolside. Nestled within the stunning hotel property, this place perfectly complements the beauty of its surroundings, creating a fun and inviting atmosphere for guests and locals to enjoy. With its fabulous pool setup, the Sandbar Grille sits right at the heart of this aquatic paradise. The pool area boasts a range of amenities, including a spacious sand pool, smaller kiddy pools for the little ones, and luxurious cabanas that provide a private oasis for relaxation. The entire setting is adorned with lush greenery and vibrant flowers, creating a tropical ambiance that transports people to a tranquil getaway. We just went there for lunch this time. The restaurant welcomes both pool-goers, guests and locals who wish to savor a delightful meal in a picturesque setting. When it comes to the menu, they created a blend of fun and flavor. We tried the veggie wrap and club sandwich, both delicious. They also have a small but refreshing selection of cocktails cocktails. I ordered the strawberry skies comprised of grey goose essences strawberry & lemongrass, sparkling rosé, strawberry purée, and lemon; served frozen. Loved it Adding to the overall ambiance, they sets the mood with a fun curated music mix. The tunes create a lively and energetic atmosphere, the servers were also very friendly. Overall this place is a fun and yummy space to have a casual lunch while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Spa day = lunch from Sandbar Grille! When you get massages services from The Spa @ GVR, you get full access to all amenities. My friend and I always head up to relax by the spa pool. There are menu's on tables and cabana beds just waiting to be browsed. The Sandbar always delivers. The main Sandbar Grille is located by the main casino pool. I haven't actually walked over since their servers are constantly walking around the spa pool area as well. They have provided us great service for every visit. If we ask for something specific or extra of a certain item, our food order has consistently been right. Food and drinks have been prompt and just as ordered. Awesome! Since I'm always there with my foodie friend, we love to share our order so we can try more of the menu. Nachos, of course, are a great sharing plate. Their nachos are abundant and loaded up with ingredients. Guac, sour cream and salsa are the normal condiments which accompany the nachos. Our most recent visit also included the Mahi Tacos. They were so fresh and flavorful. They offered a great spicy kick with is always a bonus in my book. The 3 tacos were filled as much as possible which satisfied our hungry appetite. Other menu items that we have tried include the Turkey BLT, Jerk Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Quesadilla. I wouldn't hesitate to order any of these again. The sandwich plates all include fries on the side choosing either regular or sweet potato. With great service and food, I couldn't ask more from a wonderful relaxing spa day. Thanks Sandbar Grille for great lunches!

Trista and Meghan were FANTASTIC!!!! In the few days we've stayed at the pool. They checked up on us, made sure we were good, and although, leaving Meghan giving her a heart attack thinking we ditched, she still thanked us for coming back. Sorry Meghan. We truly are. We just completely forgot about our bill, super exhausted from the days summer sun. Great service and attitude overall. Thank you both.

A great space with plenty of shade yet close enough to the pool to pop in for a bevvie or some grub! There is seating at the bar and around the bar. The decor is very original for a pool bar and kinda has a 60s/70s vibe. The menu is varied and includes salads, nachos, tacos ($14/$15), hummus ($14), ceviche, and even a shrimp cocktail. They also offer frozen melon balls as a menu option. A full bar is available, and other than beer, prices are too high for my taste. Specialty cocktails served in a pineapple such as the Summer Delight and Pineapple Colada are $20. A "good" deal is the 16oz aluminum bottles for $6 or $7 which usually include Heineken and Bud Lime. The standard 18% gratuity is added on, and they usually stamp that on the bill as a heads up. That is the price you pay for living it up resort style, I suppose.

We had a reservation and were seated right away. The decorations in this place are plentiful and very visually interesting. There is literally so much to look at in here but it's not too crazy overwhelming. Our server was great. She made sure to check in on us a lot and made sure my husband did not get any cilantro. Much appreciated. The cocktails were good and I'd like to come in to try more. The food was super good and I'd definitely come back in to have more of it. I really liked their version of queso fundido. So freaking good. Also, I liked the seasoning on the chips. The portion sizes are generous and the pricing isn't too expensive.

This is an update to my previous review. Unfortunately it has to be the worst review I've ever left…read morefor a restaurant. After our last trip when we received absolutely crap service and the manager tried to make it right by comping us, she indicated that the next meal "was on her" and urged us to come back "and give them another chance".. I took her at her word and contacted the restaurant to let her know that I was going to bring my wife and her parents to the restaurant for her birthday. So I contacted the restaurant and informed them that we wanted a reservation for four and that was my wife's birthday. I was contacted and told that they would do something special. We showed up and the front girl was "perfunctory at best". We were seated and waited 20 minutes before we received any water or chips. However, the staff was busy bustling to set this large table in the middle of the dining room for a group that wouldn't show up for 10 minutes. They literally had their chips, salsa, water etc. 10 minutes before we did and we weren't even there. When we did get a waitress she was perfunctory and less than friendly. When I told her we were there for my wife's birthday her answer was "oh that's nice". Far cry from "we will make the evening special for you". We got our food which was fine but absolutely nothing. Throughout the meal the waitress spent all of her time chatting with the large group in the middle - obviously her friends or whatever because they got five star service while we were simply ignored. If we wanted to get a refill of a glass of water or in my father-in-law's case, some sour cream, had to literally get up and pull her away from her buddy table to get service. In addition, not a happy birthday, dessert nothing. So much for trusting the manager when she said that she was going to comp the meal or even at the minimum do something to celebrate the birthday. If we went to something as mundane as Applebee's my wife would've got a piece of cheesecake lol. Very disappointed in this place. We love the food but the service is just crap.

The menu changes with the seasons, has some items that are consistently always on the menu. Right now, the seasonal salad is a caprese and it is absolutely fantastic- it is not your typical tomato mozzarella Caprese. It has the most delicious honey balsamic and pesto The ribeye is consistently good- the potato purée is by far one of my favorite things to eat there I didn't see the carrots on the menu. They are also one of my go to's. My girlfriend had the duck confit and said it was absolutely amazing and her husband had the pasta. The carrot cake is to die for and they're simple bread and butter. Services is delicious too. We live in Henderson and we would love to see this restaurant stick around, so please come visit. You won't be disappointed.

The food was amazing the first time, but the food was a bit off last time I was here, though still good. First, I would look forward to coming here because of their whipped mashed potatoes. I remember this place had the best whipped mashed potatoes I've had; however, it was super salty last time I was here. Also, the first time I had the short rib was so flavorful and tender, but last time it was a bit tough and too fatty. We also had the mushroom tart, steak frites, sole meuniere, carrot cake, and mexican hot chocolate brulee. Dessert was my fave and I really enjoyed both dishes. Overall, good spot for food, but it was better the first time I came.

Make it more intimate if you are going on a date. I had the Bolognese and my fiancé had the Chicken Pesto. I would give the Bolognese a 9/10 and the Pesto a 10/10. Bolognese is good if you want something that has a red sauce taste to it. We also had the Yellowtail Crudo for our appetizer which was probably the best thing we had all night! I was shocked at how good this was. Portion size was small, so if you can afford it I would get two of these dishes. We had the pistachio ice cream for dessert which was phenomenal as well. Some ice cream flavors are not listed on the dessert menu, so be sure to ask them what they have!

The ambiance was light, spacious, and airy, creating a welcoming atmosphere. We started our meal with the cacio e pepe arancini, banana coffee cake, and zucca chips. Oh, those zucca chips! They were thinly sliced, perfectly seasoned, and crispy, making them the perfect appetizer to kick off our culinary journey. For the main course, we had the breakfast carbonara pasta, chicken parmigiana verde, and short rib hash. Each dish was delicious, and we couldn't go wrong with any of them. By the time dessert arrived, we were already stuffed. We indulged in gelato (chocolate and pistachio) and Italian donuts, which were both refreshing and satisfying. This restaurant is an absolute must-try if you're looking for an elevated, affordable, casual, and cool dining experience.

I wanted to like Oak Room, but they're completely missing the mark…read more First, there's no Wi-Fi, which already makes it a bad choice if you want to come here to work or relax for a while. On top of that, they were playing rap/hip hop when the space would make much more sense with chill lounge music, jazz, or oldies. The vibe feels confused. The menu is also poorly positioned for the location. A lot of the items are things I'd much rather get from the surrounding restaurants that do them better. If King's Fish is 10 steps away, or Echo & Rig is nearby, why would I choose to pay $58 for a ribeye here in what feels like an empty gaming bar? Instead of differentiating itself, Oak Room seems to be competing in categories where the nearby spots already win. The place would make far more sense leaning into elevated bar food, small plates, and finger foods. Outside of fries, fried shrimp, and egg rolls, there's not much on the menu that fits the environment. This is not the kind of place people naturally want to go for herb-crusted salmon or a ribeye. I'm writing this more as a favor to the owner than anything else: reevaluate the menu, the music, and the overall positioning. Right now it doesn't feel like a place to work, chill, or have a standout meal -- and the fact that it always seems empty reflects that.
