We finally stopped into Jason's Deli (we live near one in Austin) while visiting family in Vegas, and the whole experience was such a pleasant surprise! There was a decent amount of free parking in the parking lot. The location itself is big, open, and offers plenty of seating, plus all the tables were clean when we arrived! We were greeted right away, and the woman who helped us was incredibly friendly and patient while we decided what to order. She walked us through the menu and made the whole process super easy. For food, we tried a few things: Spicy Sicilian Sub -- delicious and actually quite spicy in the best way. Might have added a little extra giardiniera. Be careful! Reuben the Great -- our favorite of the meal, loaded with 1/2lb of meat and giving all the classic Reuben comfort vibes. Build Your Own Sandwich -- surprisingly generous on the meat and really tasty. We added a "side salad" to one of the sandwiches and didn't realize that meant full access to the salad bar--definitely a fun surprise and great value! The salad bar was well-stocked, clean with plenty of fresh toppings, and they even had a chocolate mousse dessert there that was creamy, lightly sweet, and genuinely delicious! And the bonus that sealed the deal? Your meal includes FREE ice cream at the end, which was the perfect finish! Great food, friendly service, tons of seating, and overall just a solid experience. I love Jason's Deli. It always hits the spot! We came in on a Saturday around noon and the place wasn't packed at all. Then again it's pretty spacious inside with plenty of tables and booths to sit at. We both ordered the managers special which comes with half a sandwich and a cup of soup or a salad plus a side. I got the California Club with a loaded Irish potato soup and some fruit with yummy dip. My fiancée got the Bigger Better BLT with a chicken pot pie soup and some chips. Since one of my all-time fave restaurants, Souplantation, shuttered its doors during COVID, I've lived with a void in my veggie-loving soul. Sure, Jason's might not have a clam chowder so good it could remedy a bad week, a tuna tarragon to transform your salad into a solid meal, or a blueberry muffin so addictive you'd consider stuffing a couple in your purse, but it is the next best thing! The sandwiches are top quality, especially the Reuben and Everything Burnt Ends Sandwich, but I am here for that SALAD BAR! I'll always get a salad loaded with beets, eggs, and mini muffins, and supplement with a sandwich if I'm feeling voracious. I applaud and appreciate the staff who meticulously tidies any stray salad bar items and diligently replenishes the bar, even at closing. The warm hospitality we consistently receive from Jenny alone deserves 10 stars! She is a big reason we keep coming back... besides the salad bar and refillable freshly brewed iced tea. Love this place! My first visit and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't realize how large the dining room is. I didn't know they had soup and a salad bar, either. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, changed the rye out for an everything bun. Yum! The tomato soup is nice with small pieces of tomato. They have quite a variety so it took a bit to decide what to get. I tried the soft serve machine and the vanilla on a cone was yum! All the employees were nice and they were pretty fast at bringing our food out to the table. I recently got back from New Orleans and was craving a muffuletta, so i searched to see if any places out here have them. I came across Jason's Deli and ordered one for pick up. It comes with a small bag of chips and a pickle. Their muffuletta is pretty good! I do wish their olive salad had more tanginess to it and capers. They do stack it with a ton of ham though! There was a manager there with a few staff members and they were so accommodating. I originally ordered a Tiff's Treats Cookie order for pick up and found my way here. This is a very similar vibe to a Panera. The menu is large and I love that there is gluten free options. Someone in our party needed GF, and we were grateful they changed gloves too. There is a variety of food, including a salad bar, sandwiches/wraps, baked potatoes, pastas, and soup and dessert selections as well. My favorites are the Beef Eater and their baked potatoes (a classic is the Plain Jane). The turkey wrap is an excellent healthier option and you can substitute your side (typically chips) with either baked chips or fruit. The yogurt fruit dip is so good!!! Service is always quick and this particular location has a kind staff. If something is not quite right, they quickly fix the issue. Jason's Deli is busy during lunchtime just as a head's up. Hey Yelpers!!! Came in for dinner because I had a hankering for a salad bar. This place has a a good one! The restaurant is large for a soup and sandwich spot. Lots of seating in an open floor plan. Two of the walls are all windows to allow in lots of light in the daytimes it's really nice. One drawback is the wall menu behind the ordering area. The print is SOO tiny I had to use my phone camera to make the print larger. They do have handheld menus you can use. The food was great. I ordered a salad bar and club sandwich. The Sandy was delicious on a flaky croissant. Lots of turkey and nice crisp bacon. I'd order it again for sure. The salad bar has lots of topping options. As well as three types of greens: iceberg lettuce, spinach, and something else colorful (sorry, but I'm not inquisitive enough to put myself out there and find out). They had at least 30 different options of toppings, so I'm not going to name them all. I added cucumbers, artichoke hearts, beets, and a few other things, along with a mix of regular ranch and jalapeño ranch dressings, great choice! The wife had the tomato basil soup and the Reuben sandwich on an everything bun. It looked great and I love me some pastrami! I almost traded her halvsies! As for the service, they were very nice. First time there, tonight. We took our daughter and granddaughters for dinner. My husband and I were so impressed. The service was impeccable, the food was hot and great! I've been a loyal customer of Jason's Deli for over 10 years. Even though my husband and I moved out of state, we always make it a point to visit the Henderson location whenever we come to Vegas to see family. Unfortunately, my recent visit two weeks ago left me with mixed feelings, and I feel compelled to share my experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Alex, who took our order. He was exceptionally friendly, which made us feel welcome right from the start. After we paid, my 3 year old daughter grabbed a small box of apple juice from the fridge. I asked how much we owed for it, and to my surprise, he kindly said, "She's just a kid, don't worry about it she can have it." I truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture, it show he genuinely cared about our experience. However, the situation changed when my 5 year old son needed to use the restroom. My husband accompanied him, and upon their return, he was taken aback by the condition of the restrooms. While the restaurant had clearly invested in upgrading the dining area with new tables and chairs, the restrooms were in dire need of attention. All the stalls and toilets seemed outdated and worn, with the sink in the women's restroom showing significant signs of age. It was disappointing to see that, despite the higher menu prices, the restrooms had not been updated in over a decade. Another area of concern was the salad bar. We were charged nearly $12 after tax for a single trip, which felt quite steep. When I asked for a second plate to make another trip, I was told that the salad bar policy allowed for only one trip, and I was denied the second plate, despite the higher cost. I found this frustrating, especially given the significant price increase in recent years. Additionally, the staff member's communication left much to be desired being fluent in both English and Spanish would likely enhance customer service and understanding. The total for our meal, which included two adults and two children, came to $60, and while the food was decent, it wasn't as enjoyable as I remembered, especially considering the price hike. Before we left, my husband and I tried to leave Alex a $10 tip to show our appreciation for his kindness, but he declined. He explained that the tips are shared amongst all staff and suggested we place the tip in a jar. While I understand the reasoning behind this policy, I found it a bit unfair, as some employees may not necessarily have earned the same level of appreciation from customers. While we continue to enjoy the overall concept of Jason's Deli, I do believe there are areas in need of improvement particularly in the restrooms, pricing, and staff communication (Considering is Henderson the area we talking about) I hope the management will consider these points to maintain the high standards that keep customers like us coming back. read more
