I ordered the corn beef hash and it is a big portion. I usually take half to go. It comes with toast or coffee cake but today's was a red velvet with an Apple streusel topping. This place is very gluten free friendly which I loved. They have an entire gluten friendly menu with pancakes and muffins and they have gluten free bread for sandwiches. I will say, we only tried the restaurant week menu so I can't say I truly got the best representation of the business because of it. Service was quick and the food came out very quickly. Seems like I am always left with decision making for meals and it honestly can be exhausting. But I think Mr G gets frustrated/disappointed when he suggest spots and I'm just like blah about it. After looking over the menu I choose something a bit lighter and healthier. Mr G had his heart set on burrito so I think he did the build your own option. The one thing I been obsessed about since then was the coffee cake. I don't think I've had a coffee cake like this but it's hard to forget about honestly. I've been watching video after video on coffee cake recipes, I'm completely obsessed. My breakfast plate was really good and filling. Had enough to bring back about half. Stopped by this breakfast spot in Green Valley near Smith's, and while it had a good crowd and a bit of a lively vibe, the experience didn't quite live up to the price. The interior is pretty basic--not much in terms of decor, but it's clean and functional. Our server was friendly and checked in a few times, which was nice. I went for the chicken fried steak with hash browns and eggs. The portion was smaller than I expected, and the chicken itself was on the tiny side, but the flavor was decent. They offer refillable coffee, which is always a plus, and the fresh-squeezed orange juice was a nice touch. The service is good, the food is as well, but I've definitely noticed their portions have downsized and their prices, (like everywhere else) have raised. When we mentioned it to the waiter, he said next time, maybe we should have them toast the English muffin. I don't think I've ever been served eggs Benedict with a raw untoasted English muffin, if I have, it did not feel or taste like a hockey puck like this one did. They did not offer to remake the plate. My husband went ahead and ate what he could because he was hungry and he just is not really a fussy guy. He ordered a Dr Pepper that did not have enough syrup. It was very CO2 forward. Sodas are $5.25 and I feel for that price. It should be a really good soda. We mentioned to the waiter that the soda just didn't taste right and he said OK. We'll take it off your bill and my husband had maybe one or two steps it's not like we drank it and said this is terrible. We get to the register and I tell her the waiter is supposed to remove the soda from our. That's when the manager comes in. Manager quickly says I'm here to remove the soda, I tell her you might want to check your machine. I think it's off. She proceeds to tell me she did everything's fine and she's gonna go ahead and take it off even though there's nothing wrong with it. I suggested that she taste the soda that they served us. Her response was no thank you the soda is fine. It's pretty pricey - 19.50 for eggs Benedict that isn't good 18.95 for Monte Cristo that I think is delicious 5.25 for a soda is outrageous 4.25 for my ice tea that was strong and had great flavor I would go back for the Monte Cristo. But $17 for an omelette I couldn't bear to keep eating, pale hash browns, and the only highlight is the coffee cake with basic coffee that is somehow just as expensive as Starbucks is laughable. Clearly the original owners have left town and either the aging population of Henderson who can actually afford this garbage are the only ones to not notice or care are keeping it open, or it was an off day, but after seeing other reviews it's clearly got some work to do. Quality is on par with Waffle House and that's only counting the eggs. Service was okay, not many complaints except that they must be hemorrhaging money otherwise they would have brought out a replacement for our hashbrowns when we told them. When there were fewer than 8 tables seated when we went. That being said. From what I could taste. The southwest scramble they haven't changed their ingredients. There's potential to fix what they are doing in the kitchen and bring people back in. However, eggs are cheap again. You're using 4 eggs max for a scramble. The product cost is not worth $17. If it is with staffing and other upkeep costs then you either need a new manager to cut down on staffing, or be the same quality in every dish that goes out of that kitchen and with better service to your customers to bring people back in. I hate seeing what's happening to local businesses I grew up with, but I'm very glad I'm not living here now and live in a small economy where a restaurant either fails quickly because the quality is bad, or does great regardless of economic conditions. read more

But, it is a pretty big place with plenty of tables & booths. Rosa was our waitress & kept our coffee cups full. Not superior service but good. I went with the Country Benny: biscuits topped with sausage patties, covered in gravy, topped with poached eggs & a serving of hash browns. The Mrs had their Kickin Potatoes: hash browns covered with cheese & bacon with a dollop of sour cream, accompanied by a side of salsa. In my opinion, it is a bit pricey, for what you get. $36.20 for the two of us. A cup of coffee is just south of four bucks. A great spot for breakfast. Superbly large menu with endless options. Feel of a small, cozy diner, but tons of seating inside. The service was fantastic and as a 4 top we were in and out in under 45 min. I went with the chicken fried steak skillet. This was a massive plate which had hash browns on the bottom, then topped with a chicken fried steak, gravy, plenty of cheese, and then 2 eggs your way. Also was served with your choice of toast or coffee cake. The hash browns were cooked perfectly with a crispy exterior and soft inside. The chicken fried steak still had a great crust to it under everything and the gravy was a great compliment to the hashbrowns and eggs. Coffee was also solid so a very easy 5 stars here. read more
