I'm always on the lookout for new places to go try. This one had popped up in my search several times, and decided that today was the day to check it out. It was a little bit of a drive but found it tucked inside a shopping center about halfway up the hills. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot so finding a space to put your car is not a problem at all. Inside the restaurant is neat and clean, really cool. Ambiance. It has an upscale hometown Diner feel. Lots of lighting, place is very open and inviting. The menu had a ton of different options for breakfast and lunch. This time we were trying out breakfast, but we'll definitely come back for lunch someday! Our waitress came to the table,. Having been a server in a restaurant, I know what it takes to make a customer feel happy and welcome. This one fell short of the mark. I would have totally given us place five stars, but the server really didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Let alone be interested in what we wanted. That was a shame, because of the meal itself was actually really good. Now I don't know if she was having a bad day, the people skills were definitely lacking. I ordered the breakfast burrito with carnitas and bacon, just because I could. And let me tell you, this thing was huge! I did not think I was going to be able to finish the whole thing, good thing I was hungry because I took that thing down in record time. The green sauce that they put on it is absolutely amazing. You definitely have to try this. My girlfriend ordered the savory crepes, which she said were delicious, plus she had a cup of coffee and a coffee was on point. So there is a lot to like about the food at this place. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying lunch. Again, I would have given this place five stars had it not been for the server's attitude. It wasn't that she was rude or mean, it was more like she just didn't care and felt like she really hated her job. Bottom line? You definitely have to go check this place out. Try that breakfast burrito and you will not be sad about it! I wish I could remember the server's name so that you could avoid her section, but there is a good chance you will get someone else when you go. read more

Look for a breakfast and lunch spot in the Anthem/Inspirada area, then New Day Cafe is the place. The service is impeccable and really make you feel welcome and even saw staff giving hugs to patrons, which tells me this is a place away from home. My FAV dish is the crepe combo. I have had the blueberry and strawberry and they are delicious. My mother in law had the sprinters omelette and loved. My husband had the grilled chicken sandwich. We all loved our food and we have been here numerous times and will continue to return again and again. They have plenty of seating and comfortable environment. read more

First time in here. We were happily greeted by Ruthie. Coffee was amazing (Lavazza) Yum. I ordered an egg white omelet w/tomatoes, avocado and Green Chiles (no cheese) and some hashbrowns and I was very happy with how it tasted and portion size. My brother got the country fried steak and wasn't impressed. However, that being said, the food came out very quickly, they checked in on us several times and coffee refills kept coming and they even gave me a coffee to go (I didn't ask, they offered) It's far from the house but it was a nice drive. The restaurant is well decorated with US Flags and such and was very homey--we both liked it and agreed that like this time, if the die chooses to send us there, we will return. read more

Freshly made and they try to tailor your food to your specifications and requests. All servers are great however I'm partial to Mario and Sandra, just they were the first I really got know when I first began to frequent this restaurant. Anything I order comes out hot and delicious. The service is impeccable and my waiter, which is usually Mario, is on top of everything and gets any extras you may need or want. We were visiting family and went for a walk in the early morning. Making our way down to Starbucks to get a coffee when we saw this place. We usually go local before corporate if we can and saw New Day. Went over to check it out. All the windows are tinted so you couldn't see in. As we stopped to see the menu and reviews on our phones, a waiter comes out and invites us in. Answered all our questions and brought us in and sat down. Cleaned up diner experience. Some older gentlemen and couples spread around having their "regular" which we like in a place like this. Our waitress was phenomenal. Explained some menu items, but it was really ask for it and you shall receive. We were looking for coffee and got a latte and a coffee. Both were just as good or better than Starbucks. Decided to split the 3 egg farmers omelette. It was delicious and they split the plate for us. Waitress stopped to chat with us multiple times. This has become our new favorite Sunday breakfast spot. It's local, quick and everyone is friendly. We always leave here happy and full! Sometimes we have come and it's been packed while other times there are just a few customers. It is worth it for both breakfast and lunch. I always go for the cinnamon roll ... I mean come on who wouldn't?! My boyfriend and I each do the build your own omelet and then customize our sides. We have been here for lunch too and their BLT is awesome with a side of fries. You can also have sandwiches as a wrap which is always so nice. We stick to water to drink or juice or milk. This is a breakfast spot that doesn't serve alcohol so this is not your bottomless mimosa spot. But seriously, don't skip out on the cinnamon roll. Thank you to everyone at New Day Cafe! Serving the most Americanized Mexican food ever!! I called to place a take-out order. I told Mario, "The order is for Darrell. That's D-A-RR-E-LL," which is how I always spell "Darrell" when I'm on the phone. When Darrell arrived, he gave his name to a waitress who replied "The only take-out order we have is for Bill." So glad I spelled out D-A-RR-E-LL for Mario. Hubby picked up a Breakfast Burrito for himself and Huevos Mexicana for me. Hubby ate his Breakfast Burrito and said that it was "adequate" and commented on how this place had, at one time, been good. Other than the fact that there were some refried beans and a few soggy tortilla chips on my plate, there was nothing Mexican about the Huevos Mexicana. And the refried beans were just that: beans. No chorizo. No spice. Nothing. Darrell tells me they no longer have a cash register. Mario carries around a bag with bills; and coins are in a jar. Shortly after finishing his Breakfast Burrito, my husband developed gastro issues. He was sick-ish (nauseous, stomach cramps, frequent runs to the bathroom) until early evening. It will be a very long time before we order take-out from New Day Cafe again. I wanted to love this place, but there's room for improvement. First off, the place is your standard cafe; nice, clean and the staff is super friendly. Food, unfortunately, is mediocre at best. I had the Reuben, which you can see came with two slices of corned beef. Toasted rye was great, it had all the potential to be a good sandwich - but it was more of a sauerkraut sandwich. At $13.49, they need to put a lot more corned beef on there to make it decent. Maybe they're better at breakfast? Doubt we'll be back to find out, sorry! read more

I live close by and have heard mixed reviews of New Day Cafe. I finally had a chance to stop in for lunch. It's located in the Albertsons plaza in Anthem. They are open daily from 7am - 3pm. When you walk in, you wait right by the door to be seated. It took a few minutes to be acknowledged and then we were escorted to a booth. The table was wiped down and clean but the booth seats were not. We ordered off of the lunch menu but breakfast is served all day. We got the kids chicken fingers with fries and the Philly cheesesteak with a cup of their chicken tortilla soup. The food comes out fairly quickly. It was decent, nothing worth returning for in my opinion. It's overpriced for what it is. The chicken tortilla soup was the best part of the meal. I would try them for breakfast in hopes that their breakfast options taste better than lunch. read more
