Already digging into this huge slice of cheesecake - soooooo good!

The Del Mar Deli is a great place to stop for a snack when visiting the South Point. It has a wide menu selection ranging from deli subs, pizzas, breakfast sandwiches, and soups to finger foods, bagels, baked goods, mouthwatering pastries and desserts. There seriously is something for everybody here! Your order is placed (and delivered) at their walk-up counter, but the deli includes an adjacent seating area where you can sit down while waiting for your order. During peak dining hours, this area can get a little congested (and messy from those above using the self-busing bins), but there are signs discouraging casino "campers" from utilizing the space for an impromptu lounge. Usually, the dining space is clean. I spent my wait time - about 10 minutes - watching staffers slice a variety of fresh Boar's Head meats for sandwiches on order (and second-guessing my own order after seeing all the great things being created or displayed behind glass). Wait times do vary, and there's even a posted sign on the counter warning of orders taking up to 30-minutes - but all sandwiches are freshly made and that would cover grilled steaks and pizzas doubtlessly taking longer during peak eating hours. When it's time for a break from gambling and the bustle of the casino floor, the Del Mar Deli is a wonderful spot to grab a quick bite. I'd recommend it especially if meeting up with friends because the menu variety ensures even the pickiest patron will find something.

This place is on fire!! A HOT spot inside South Point casino. My friend & I were hanging out the other night at the Sports Bar for a ladies Meetup, some of the girls had come over here to order food to bring back to the table & things looked sooooo yummy. My friend Yolanda & I decided to head over (once the long line died down....place gets busy!) & order something to eat. They have a decent size menu with lots of choices. I had to make up my mind between a couple of items. OMG their dessert selection is crazy! HUGE portions & great prices. I went with a sugar cookie (see photo), it was kinda hard with a light sugar taste. I've had better but it was still edible. I ended up going with a grilled ham & cheese on sourdough bread & Yolanda got a grilled cheese on Rye bread. They came with these crunchy (not too hard) tasty french fries. I can't believe I never took a pic of our sandwiches & fries?!?!?!?!?! We were starving & too busy chowing down on our food. Cashier was very nice & friendly. Food didn't take long so we waited close by. I will definitely be back to try something different, maybe their chicken fingers??? LOVE this place!

Grabbed a slice of pizza and order of mozzarella sticks for a snack here since our favorite hot dog cart was closed. The mozzarella sticks were the best and very good, and the pizza was also good. Overall, we had another good experience here.

This is always reliable and food is piping hot and fresh! The corn beef...pastrami reuben....matzoh ball soup...cannoli...bagels...so so good. I will be back again and again...

Food is so fresh, made to order. We tried this place twice. One for a dinner snack, Got the ham sandwich. Delicious if you ask me. Came with a potato salad (that was pretty dry) My husband got a chicken sandwich with fries. He said it was good too. The next morning, I came in for the jalapeño cheddar bagel breakfast sandwich. Did not disappoint! It was so gooey, cheese and delicious!!! Highly recommend! Unfortunately I didn't get to try any of their desserts, but I will next time I'm in town.

I've had mixed experiences here. Their bagels are very good, crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. Their scallion cream cheese has fresh scallions and is addicting! Today we had a couple desserts to go, the Boston cream cake and cinnamon bun. I was hoping the cinnamon bun would be gooey and tender but it was dry even in the middle and I only tried a bite before giving up on it. The Boston cream cake is pretty good, it has chocolate chips inside and a cream layer between layers of white cake and chocolate on top. I've had their cheesecake, which is very good. It seems hit or miss depending on what you order. The service is always fast and friendly and they work to get the food out as quickly as possible even when it's busy. There is a good variety of desserts so everyone can probably find something they'd like.

I returned from a couple of days ago so I can try something from the bakery. I got the pistachio cake. It was dead on tasting like pistachio very delicious moist a good choice especially if you like pistachio. I wanna try another one now so many I think that cake was $8.95 I also got the New York style pepperoni pizza, thin crust so freaking amazing you're from New York and you're craving the authentic. This is very much close to it being on the West Coast.. the service is very good. Employees seem to be very knowledgeable about the food. The ambience is it to go so there's always a line and remember any 25 minutes for your order. I will return again so I could try something else.

After a disappointing experience at the Coronado Café, my husband and I decided to stop at Delmar deli to order sandwiches to go for dinner. I've been here in the past so I knew the sandwiches would be good. The pastrami is amazing, definitely one of the best in town. I saw them pull the meat right out of the smoker and slice it fresh for my sandwich. They also have a nice variety of sandwiches, bagels, breakfast and desserts. I definitely recommend coming here if you want to get something quick and good.

We were over at the bar area watching the football game and we were getting hungry while drinking beers . I saw this cool deli with pizza, sandwiches and desserts and lots of people. Must be good if there's a line, right?? Sure enough it was. We had the corn beef sandwich. Fresh tasty meat stacked thick. I must say it was one of the best sandwiches I've eaten in years. There was a few tables nestled there. I took ours back to the bar area tables. People said their pizzas were good too. I'm going back here again the next time I'm in town.

Be prepared for a wait! If you like baked goods straight out of a NY deli in Vegas in large portion sizes, this is where it's at. I got the rainbow cookie and it was probably one of the best rainbow cookies that I've ever had. The ambiance is that of a ny deli counter tucked in the corner of the South Point casino. If you are there and looking for a sweet treat or a sandwich, check it out!

    Jacqueline C.

While staying at South Point Hotel one of the restaurants I visited was Del Mar Deli. I love their bagel sandwich with egg and bacon. I love how the thick bacon.

    Morgan B.

The desserts are why we waited in line for twenty minutes and it was well worth the waite. We picked up lemon bars and rainbow cookies to share. If you have a sweet tooth and love Italian baked goods best lemon bars ever. Sadly it was late at night and the person infront of us took the last flan.

    Egg Salad Sandwich
    Kristine R.

Food is always amazing here! To be fair I get the egg salad sandwich usually. The desserts are so tasty and the matzo ball soup is so divine. It's perfectly salted and flavorful. I love the rosemary in the broth. Service is always so quick and convenient, very consistent and orders are never lagged. The quality of the food shows. The ambiance is deli friendly, lots of tables and very clean.

There was about a 10 minute wait to order, which we didn't mind given how crowded it was. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill when it was our turn. The staff member taking our order said, "do you know what you want?" in an unwelcoming tone. Even though, his tone turned me off, we still placed an order (...probably shouldn't have). We ordered the Freckled Redhead burger ($16) and the Chicken with Mac Waffle ($17). After ordering, we were given a number and waited outside. The food came out after about 20 minutes and we took it home to eat. A different staff member served our to-go order and she seemed nice. As much as we wanted to enjoy it, the food was just OK. The chicken was seasoned well but it seemed over fried, which made it dry. The waffle itself was decent but only had a small amount of mac and cheese inside. I had seen previous photos where mac and cheese was also served on the side, so that was disappointing. My boyfriend had the burger and said it was just OK as well...nothing special and not really worth the price. Overall, the staff member taking orders didn't seem very friendly or welcoming, and should probably take a break or work in the back. The food wasn't exciting like we hoped. We give it 2 stars. Even though we live nearby, we probably wouldn't return for the food. Maybe the coffee and drinks are better, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place.

We always make a…read morestop in Vegas to stock up on groceries and grab brunch before heading to Zion for camping. The food here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious - but they really need to step up their dishwashing and make sure the food is served hot. There's nothing worse than ordering coffee and seeing purple lipstick on the rim of your cup. It makes you want to leave right away. Then comes the inner debate - do you say something and risk being that customer, or just wipe it off and move on? On top of that, getting food that's supposed to be hot but arrives cold is frustrating. You sit there wishing you were at home where you could just microwave it - because the food is that good and would taste even better at the right temperature. Our experience wasn't helped by our waiter, who seemed disinterested after the lipstick incident (same guy mentioned in previous reviews that comes off rude AF/ agreed!). We didn't feel like asking for much after that. On the bright side, one of the waitresses was amazing - she looked like she was carrying the whole place. The chef clearly knows what she's doing because the food coming out of the kitchen was fantastic. That said, attention needs to be paid to cleanliness and serving hot food. There's no excuse for that. Despite these issues, I gave it five stars because the problems are fixable and don't take away from how incredible the food is. For reference, we visited on Friday, January 3rd, in the morning. There was a nearby parking structure and no wait time. The decor is a mix of farm-to-table and modern bistro - nothing overly exciting or disappointing. We were just looking for a good brunch spot, and this place is truly a hidden gem. Hopefully, they address the concerns we mentioned because it's worth coming back for! __________ To the Chef, Your food is incredible - truly Michelin-worthy. However, the staff is serving it cold and sometimes on dirty dishes. This isn't the first review mentioning these issues. Also, the tall white guy with grey hair was incredibly condescending and rude. Hospitality doesn't seem to be the right fit for him. It's disappointing to see someone like that representing the amazing work and love you pour into your dishes. On the flip side, the waitress with long brown hair was picking up the slack and holding the place together. She deserves recognition - maybe even a promotion. I hope you see this because if the team can consistently serve food hot and on clean dishware, this place could easily become the top brunch spot around. We appreciate your talent and hope this feedback is helpful! - Vee & Mike

It has a rustic, darker ambiance and not your usual bright and sunny brunch spots. The menu not too big, but offered enough varieties that we decided to try the biscuit and gravy as well as the corned bee hash. We also got house coffee and they were from mother ship coffee. Food came out quickly, but they were lukewarm and felt like it was already made and just put under a food light to be kept warm. The biscuit was good and soft, but the gravy was a little too salty. The corned beef came in a smaller portion than I expected, and the beef was diced too thin that they didn't have great texture and flavor. Coffee was good, but overall food was not as good as we'd expect. Service was average, the waitress was nice but didn't offer much service besides bringing out initial water and coffee over. No one really checked in on us after the food was served. I'd most likely not be back as there are many other brunch places in the downtown area to explore.

The Grilled Oysters were not a favorite. However, I think that's just personal preference because of the style they are prepared in. We prefer our grilled oysters to be very charred and more of a buttery flavor. These are prepared in an Asian style and and more of a soft grill than a char. Our server very graciously had a second plate served up with more of a grill to the oyster which we appreciated. The rest of the dishes were delicious. We were so full that we passed on dessert, but would definitely be back because the options were inventive and looked so tasty. A doughnut bread pudding, a bourbon brownie; yes to both please!
