I had placed an order online with an advanced pick up time following by end of work day at 4:45pm. I ordered 4 double fudge brownies as well as 2 cream cheese brownies. The specific point of this trip was the double fudge brownies for an out of town relative. Upon my arrival, Lauge (Manager) stated they had run out of the double fudge brownies. Of course, she said she would refund me, however I find it very rude that knowing that your store was out of the major item I had ordered, NO ONE could pick up a phone and call ahead. I went out of my way for this pick up and did not want any substitute items, the absolute minimum level of customer service would have been to contact the customer. When I proposed this to Lauge, she stated they were busy and did not have time. Again, I do not appreciate this answer or excuse. Your customers deserve better. She offered another excuse that she is unsure why it would have let me order from the website, when they did not have the items available. Perhaps, they WERE available when I ordered but they didn't fill the online order prior to distributing to the store customers. Further, I inquired if you are a bakery, and this was an advanced order, why couldn't more have been made? Her response was that only so many were allocated to be made each day and their primary focus was not on pasties. She offered other items as substitute, which I was not interested in. This experience has really disappointed me to the point that I am not sure I would return. Purchased the Asiago bread and the petite carrot cake. Omg the flavors explode! The Asiago bread is so flavorful that you really don't need any on it!!! Just dip the bread in some extra virgin olive oil with fresh cracked pepper and it is absolutely heaven!!!! The carrot cake was perfect. The cake so moist combined with the icing makes it a perfect treat that you don't want to stop eating. Personally I won't buy store bread or cake again. I finally decided to stop by Kneaders Bakery & Cafe and OMG was it a treat! I picked up a few croissants, brownies, chocolate cookies and oatmeal cookies. They were delicious! I gave a brownie to my husband & son... they were in heaven. The service was great and fast. All the baked goods were fresh & soft. The tables and drink areas were clean. Breakfast! OMG, ran to grab breakfast because I had time. Not knowing what was in store. There was no line, no customers in the parking lot at 7:30AM however, they were ready for me! From the menu I chose a sausage & bacon croissant with Munster cheese. The attendant was friendly and fast. Haha, little did I know the portion would hold me through lunch. Yes! My husband discovered this place a while ago while searching for breakfast spots and had been wanting to visit for some time. We were excited to finally have a day off together and the chance to enjoy breakfast. Before heading over, I checked the menu and noticed that, unfortunately, many of the sandwiches featured deli meats, which I couldn't eat since I'm pregnant. However, I saw they offered French toast, which sounded perfect. I also read that it was all-you-can-eat, which made it even better--I could share a little with my husband and still order more if I was still hungry. My husband, a fan of tuna melts, was happy to see one on the menu and decided to order that. We arrived at the restaurant around 10:45 AM and placed our order. I also added an orange juice with my French toast. To confirm, I asked if the French toast was still all-you-can-eat since it wasn't listed on their in-store menu. The staff member assisting us confirmed it was, but noted that the promotion ended at 11:15 AM. She recommended placing an additional order around 11:05 AM if I wanted more. After ordering, we found a seat, and shortly after, our food was brought out. I asked the person who delivered the food if I could go ahead and place an order for an extra serving of French toast to ensure I didn't miss the cutoff. She kindly agreed and promptly put the order in for me. The French toast was absolutely delicious--light and fluffy, served with fresh whipped cream and strawberries on the side, as well as a side of icing typically used for cinnamon rolls. It was indulgent but not overly heavy. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his tuna melt, praising the crispy bread and the flavorful tuna filling. The extra French toast arrived shortly after. For reference, additional servings come as a single slice rather than two, which was perfect since it allowed me to enjoy just the right amount without overindulging or wasting food. Three slices turned out to be the ideal portion for me. We both left full, satisfied, and very happy with our experience. Disappointed. The sandwich wasn't a real Panini, but it was stated on the menu as a Panini. The sandwich was really dry. If you look at the pictures attached, you can see that they only added the chicken in the center of the sandwich and not all throughout the entire sandwich which was very weird to me. It had barely any chicken as well. I also was told that it would have lettuce but it actually had spinach, which I'm not upset over but I am upset over the amount of spinach they put in it. You can see the amount of spinach in the picture and the amount of tomato and onion they put as well. This is only half the sandwich but it was distributed throughout the whole sandwich the same way on both half's. It came with Parmesan cheese chips, but I didn't realize that the whole bag would just have Parmesan mixed with the chips instead of the chips being Parmesan flavored. I love kneaders. Their food and desserts are always excellent. However, what they seem to be universally be lacking is a decent level of customer service and proper staffing. We were first in line for a solid 15 mins while an older woman was ordering who knows what. The line began piling up behind us and everyone was upset. When the woman in front of us finally finished, the cashier just up and walked away. After nearly 5 mins, the one other team member who was standing around the whole time came and took our order. We then let them know that we wanted to order a couple smoothies, and only after selecting our smoothies did they bother to tell us that they were out of all but two smoothies. read more

Must be someone new in the kitchen. Hubby and I drove through today and picked up two sandwiches to take home for lunch. As I unpacked his sandwich, the smell of raw onions was overwhelming. He had ordered the Club Sandwich on French Country bread. I moved his sandwich from the container to his plate and was surprised by (1) the amount of raw red onions and how strongly they smelled and (2) no sides. It sure seems to me that our sandwiches usually come with a very small green salad. This came with nothing. Hubby started to eat his sandwich when he pulled a long hair from it. He's bald. I do have long hair and immediately said, "I'm sorry." He said, "This isn't yours because you didn't make the sandwich. The hair was IN the sandwich, not ON it." He didn't eat a lot of his sandwich so we had to heat some dinner later. Finding the hair just did him in; and he couldn't believe how very many raw red onion slices were used. Because the smell was so strong, whoever assembled the sandwich should have gone EZ on the onions. I had ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich on Asiago bread. I did not get Asiago; I got the same bread as Hubby (ostensibly French Country, whatever that is). I've had the Chicken Salad Sandwich previously (a couple of times) and it's always been tasty. This had very little taste. The sandwiches had been cut in half. After eating half of my sandwich, I decided to take a look at the inside of the sandwich. I removed the top half-slice-of-bread and found only a small amount of Chicken Salad. Half of the bottom half-slice-of-bread was completely naked: no bread spread and no Chicken Salad. Just plain naked bread. On the remainder of the bottom-half- slice-of-bread, there was some Chicken Salad. I used my fork to eat it. There were literally two bites (two forkfuls). That's it. And, again, no side salad. I told my husband that they must have someone new in the kitchen because this is the first time I've ever had something from KNEADERS that was not good. He reminded me that, the first time I took home food for him, he didn't like his food at all and wouldn't return for a very long time. I had forgotten about that but it is true. Between the onions, the hair, the missing salads, the blandness of the Chicken Salad and how little "meat" was on my sandwich, it will be a very long time before we return. Not as a punishment but because we're so turned off to KNEADERS right now. It'll take a while to get over it, especially the hair. read more

It's been so hot lately, I barely want to leave the house but I was hungry and I know Kneader's is close to home, so my Hubby and I decided to eat here. We came in right before 11, which is when they stop serving breakfast options. I was initially going to get a salad or sandwich but decided to try their breakfast croissant which had egg, cheese, and your choice of meat, I opted for bacon, this item does not come with anything on the side. My hubby had a Turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich on focaccia bread, I'd give this sandwich a 4/5 the bread was great and the sandwich tasted fresh and natural and the sandwich also comes with a side. My croissant was a little disappointing 3/5, it was mainly croissant, my egg was over cooked and there were only 2 slices of bacon on it, I guess next time we visit I'll order a sandwich or salad. Placed an order on uber eats last night. After waiting an hour and the order was still waiting on them I called the restaurant and the man said they were out of the pie I ordered. I said ok then why did you accept the order and leave it pending for over an hour. He said no problem just cancel the order so I did not know uber would still charge me. Don't trust these people as they are scam artists. A stand up place would have cancelled the order themselves but they took advantage knowing they would still get paid. I come into kneaders at least twice a month for gift baskets. I bought three this morning and one of the gift baskets. I decided that I didn't need. I took it back a couple hours later and they said they would not give me a refund. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that they do things like that. They said that they were final sales and said they have signs. I asked where the signs are and they are hidden underneath gift baskets, shame on you guys. I mean the register is a big calculator and it tells you how much change to give so it should be hard to screw up. The register person literally gave some coins back when it should have been $6 and change. Then they said they gave 75 cents. Last time I checked 75 cents would be 3 quarters not nickles.
