I found a space and only had about a two-minute walk to Public Works. The space is industrial but cozy, and I love the little community library in the red phone booth. That's such a cute touch and very on-brand for a neighborhood spot. It also turns into a wine bar at night. I ordered the iced matcha honey latte with almond milk. It was good, but definitely on the sweeter side. Almost milkshake-like. (Not frozen, just thicker and sweeter than a traditional matcha). I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for an earthy or classic matcha. The texture was a bit grainy with some settling at the bottom, and I did get a small clump in one sip. Not a big deal, just noticeable. If I had to guess, they use a pre-sweetened matcha powder. They don't advertise having pure or ceremonial matcha, so I'm not too pressed. Just sharing my experience. Service was quick and I got my drink within just a few minutes. There's plenty of indoor seating plus a spacious, dog-friendly patio. The vibe is very social and family-friendly, with lots of conversation, families, and groups. I personally wouldn't come here to study or work, but it seems like a great spot to meet with friends or family, or just a casual coffee run. I'd come back when I'm in the mood for something sweet. I'm curious to try the Cuban latte next time since it gets so much love. I'm glad I checked this place out.

I remember visiting once but maybe or maybe not buying a drink, then just never returning since it was a bit out of the water. But I relocated to a closer Henderson neighborhood and started checking out some of the nearby casinos, and it just seemed like a good idea to stop by today... and take advantage of a casino partnership as well. I tried two drinks. The Cold Brew ($7.00, 24 oz) felt like a dark roast at first but expressed mostly fruity notes later on. It was certainly smooth and low in bitterness and acidity. I also wanted to try a latte since that tends to be where these cafes get the most creative. The Cuban Honey ($7.00, 16 oz) was the recommendation of the employee at the register, and it was simple and tasty enough. Milk, honey, and cinnamon are some very classic and comforting flavors, and they're beautifully balanced in this latte. I was also interested in trying a quiche ($5.95), so I did. They come as a compact "personal" size and apparently just get heated warm for you even if you're taking them to-go. The Florentine is definitely spinach-forward but also seems to have mushrooms and caramelized onions. The crust is suitable, the egg custard isn't the most amazing, and it leans a bit salty overall, but it's an enjoyable food option. I probably blew past the parking lot which I'm vaguely aware of, but that's because parking was actually available on the street. Some spots were marked for 12 min only, but there were plenty of open unmarked spots a few yards up. The place was almost empty around Saturday lunch too. I have no idea why since it seemed quiet enough for a study or work spot. Public Works has filled a coffee-seeking niche in this area of Henderson for a long time, and hopefully they'll do so for years to come. If you play at Emerald Island or Rainbow Club, ask the casino about using points here since it's as good as money.

So I picked up 6 bagels for $10 (much more in line with what I expected to pay vs what I paid at a competitor) and. $16 a dozen. Can't wait to try them tonight!! So tried them and I really like their bagels!! Loved that I cut a bite last night and today (stored in a zippy over night) the bagel was still nice and soft and delicious! Love the heat factor and cheese on the jalapeño and cheddar cheese bagel!! Yummm

I was lucky in arriving early for lunch, so the lunch crowd wasn't there yet, and I was able to be seated. I ordered the beef & cabbage soup. A dish I have been eating there for the past 25 years. Unfortunately, it was not as good as the last time I had it, or the many times before. It has always been like a sweet and sour base. This time the soup was very salty, almost inedible. It was served with bagel chips, which were nice and crunchy. I wish I was super hungry to enjoy one of their sandwiches. I saw them coming out of the kitchen looking delicious. Hopefully the next time I visit the soup will be better. I will definitely be ordering a sandwich too. The service was excellent all around.

Bagels. Last time I learned a harsh breakfast lesson about ordering regret (see previous review). This time I corrected my life choices and ordered properly. And wow... totally different experience. The sandwich was hot, flavorful, and exactly what a breakfast sandwich should be. The bagel had that perfect chew, everything tasted fresh, and for once I wasn't staring at my husband's plate wishing I'd made better decisions. Turns out Einstein wasn't the problem. My ordering skills were. Lesson learned: order the good stuff the first time.

Mmm no just an online order that i made online... "so like uber?" I said NO an online order i made using the app ...Asked her why they don't use the pick up area, she says "sometimes they do sometimes they don't". Doesn't make any sense. I have to wait forever to pick up a single bagel because they don't always use the online pickup area... Time before this I waited forever AGAIN. When the manager had 10 bagels in his hand he came out and started calling out names. Why not just call them out as they're ready so people can grab and leave.. I can confirm there can be multiple people waiting to order and the employees are running around in circles. This place is so unorganized it's frustrating. When your customers notice it, it's an issue.
