Stopped by this Jersey mikes location today while I was in Henderson, I glanced at the menu and let 1 lady in front of me now knowing she was ordering several sandwiches and had a lot to chat about while ordering, because of this my wait was loooong for my one sandwich, but I was patient and knew it would be worth the wait. Girlfriend orders here at least once a week. I started off feeling neutral, but over time it grew on me.. now I'm sold on JM's. If a sub spot doesn't have red wine vinegar, oregano, and oil as an option, count me out. The bread is also better than other major chains. Honestly, the whole friggin sandwich just tastes way fresher than anywhere else. On top of that, they always have really good deals for buy one get one. Ive been a big fan of jersey mikes for years. I especially love that they offer gluten free bread (and cookies!) Since im celiac. The employees are always very good about my allergy and never have I ever gotten sick eating here. Whenever we have family in town we always order some mikes and have gotten a lot of other people to join the jersey mikes hype train! They don't pre slice their deli meats, they slice them fresh per order in front of the customer. Which every sub shop should do, because it tastes better when it's fresh. I went in to try a sandwich and get info on their catering and delivery. The manager was great, gave me all the info and offered a discount because it's a school event. In the end, he referred me to a location that's closer to our event that could deliver. I'm not going to lie, I also went to another sandwich shop nearby and their service was just as great. Sometimes all it takes is a good sandwich to get you through your day. Today I came back for the first time in a year. The sandwiches and customer service were as good as always! We ordered a couple of classic Italians, and a tuna sandwich all Mikes way with some pepper relish on the side. If you've never been here, Mike's Way is just their standard way of serving the sandwiches which is quite good and you can make any adjustment to that you like. Also if you've never tried the pepper relish, I highly recommend it. The sandwiches were ordered to go and when we got home, the bread was still perfect, and the sandwiches tasted great. As I've said before there's a lot of choices when it comes to sandwich shops out there and it all comes down to preference. They ran out of the bread we requested so they just gave us different bread without asking and without telling us. Called the store when we discovered we got the wrong bread and they said too bad that's all we got and wouldn't do anything for us. I could've gone to a different store if I knew they were out. Or we might've wanted a different option than what they gave us if they gave us the option at the store of picking something else besides the one they ran out of, but they didn't say anything. Oh myyyyy. I can't believe what I witnessed today. The guy in front of me paid with cash and the cashier took the money put it in the register, finished the transaction then turned around picked up my sandwich put it on paper and cut it using the same gloves he just used to touch the cash and ring up the customer in front of me. This is a newly opened location in Henderson, and I gave it a try for lunch. It's pretty conveniently located in a shopping plaza, and there's plenty of parking. The interior is fairly small (maybe 5-7 tables), and it was fairly busy during lunchtime. They have a straightforward menu of hot and cold sandwiches and wraps. A cool thing is that their meats are sliced when you order rather than being vats of homogeneously pre-sliced lunch meat like Subway. They don't have as many bread selections (only about three) as Subway offers, though. The staff were actually very welcoming and friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. I tried the steak sandwich (hold the white American cheese) on white bread which came with grilled peppers and onions. Wow; delicious!! Hot, tender meat complemented perfectly by the peppers and onions. Even the bread was good! For cold sandwiches they don't have as huge a selection of vegetables and sauces as Subway (just lettuce, tomato, and onion were listed plus a red wine vinegar/olive oil dressing and "spices"). For about $2 more you can add chips and a fountain soft drink. They do have a rewards program you can easily sign up for with just a phone number.
