    Salmon and Hamachi Poké bowl
    Jeff M.

We love poke express! We are so happy that they have multiple restaurants within Las Vegas from North Las Vegas, Summerlin, to Henderson. We typically go to the one in Henderson but been to the restaurant in North Vegas. All of their poke fish in Ingredients are fresh throughout their various restaurants. Poker express has at least a dozen different poke flavors from garlic taco, Nemo, Aji, show you or wasabi Aji, Hamachi, salmon, and other fresh fish flavors, we typically get the bowl, but they also sell the various poke flavors by the pound as well. Service is exceptional, very helpful. They'll give you a taste if you'd like it and their rice, vegetables, toppings, complement the Poké bowls. We've often purchased pokey by the pound for our cocktail parties and dinner parties for friends here in Vegas. Ambience is very casual great fresh poke.

Writing this as I wait in line because I can't believe I havent written this after my fist time coming here months ago. Hands down the best poke I've had, and I can only compare it to the SoCal shops, foodland and taniokas on Oahu. My uber driver recommended the Pau Hana and I've never looked back after this one. Prior to express I was a Hawaiian style girl and I still like it. But now I love the furikake and pau Hana. Overall there's just so much flavor, freshness and ingredients in their poke that they are on their own category. They're on mainland so yes there's more access to ingredients but their recipes and quality of the fish put them on a league on their own. Mahalo for making such great poke'

This is perhaps the freshest poke that ever tasted. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this poke by the Pound place. They offer a wide variety of fresh mixed pokes, as well as raw fish and snack, snacks and drinks. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I indicated an allergy and they freshly made my poke for me without the ingredient to ensure no cross contamination. The ambience is out of a deli, but the service is outstanding.

So many choices, it was hard to decide, but we ended up with the spicy tuna, soy with avocado tuna and the crab salad. This is in a shopping center, so there is a lot of parking, Once inside, you order at the counter deli style. They pack it and weigh it for you. There is not seating inside, more like a fish market. Pick up and take with you. Although the line seemed long, it moved so fast. The staff behind the counter were friendly and quick. We really appreciated that. We loved every bite, gives you the feeling of Hawaii markets, home away from home

Poke Express features authentic Hawaiian-style poke. Unlike the "build-a-bowl" chains, this place focuses on high-quality, fresh fish sold by the pound. We loved that you could get 1/3 lbs of the poke so we could try a variety of pokes. We grabbed a variety for a picnic at a nearby park--including the Garlic Ahi, Ginger Ahi, and Salmon--and every single one was incredibly flavorful with fresh fish. Our fave was the Garlic Ahi. We loved the citrus soy sauce on the side - umami, citrusy flavor bomb.

This place was recommended to myself and boyfriend by my brother who lives on this end of town. Place was busy when we went in but it was well worth it. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The pickled onion and pickled ginger we got from the refrigerator was really good! Never thought pickled onion was a thing but it was delicious. Both of our salmon bowls were great and even good next day when I brought leftovers for lunch. The rice was seasoned and cooked perfect to go with the diced salmon. I look forward to going again!

Came here on a recent trip to Vegas and I'm glad that I did. They offer a ton of different poke and I love how they offer samples. The employee who helped us out was super friendly and welcoming. Everything is by the pound so we ended up ordering a 1/3 pound of shoyu ahi, limu tako, yum yum mussels, lomi salmon, da hapa ahi poke as well as 4 scoops of rice with furikake. I really enjoyed everything--all were fresh and seasoned well, but if I had to pick a favorite it would have to be da hapa ahi poke which the employee sold my husband and I on. I'm glad he recommended it to us and let us sample it because I would've never known about this one had he not. He mentioned it was his favorite and it tasted like steak which it did and it was delicious and different from other poke I've ever tasted. My husband isn't too much of a fan on raw poke, but after trying this one out he actually really enjoyed it. We liked the seared taste of it and it really did taste like steak lol. I liked how all of the poke was nicely displayed and everything looked and even tasted fresh. The overall place is a small takeout spot with no seats to dine at. Besides poke, they also have Hawaiian snacks and more. I'd definitely return whenever I'm in Vegas!

They have a large variety of flavors to choose from! You can get 1 or 2 scoops of rice as well! Everything here is reasonably priced. The lines can get long but it moves quickly. Definitely would come back and I would recommend trying poke express.

    Mark H.

The best Hawaiian style poke in town. Fish is always fresh, and prices are very fair relative to the quality and taste. I typically prefer salmon but definitely recommend the tuna options here. Location is on the small side and they oftentimes run out of more popular items as the day progresses, so I would recommend calling in an order in advance, as well as ordering earlier in the day to avoid peak hours. A decent portion for 2 would be three or four 1/3 lb proteins, a 1/3 lb seaweed salad, and a scoop of rice.

Our favorite poke spot in Vegas! The food is ono all the time and tastes fresh and saucy whenever there's sauce. Our go to orders are the spicy lava flow and the salmon poke. We also enjoy their kimchi crab, tako poke, and ahi limu. The order system when buying is by weight so that's good. The service is always welcoming and it's always busy whenever we go so phone orders are what we do sometimes. When you go if there's something you wanna try they also give small samples. You can also get points by putting your number at check out so that's a plus. Whenever we arrive there's always parking. The island vibes are always our favorite. They play reggae Hawaii kind music which I always jam to whenever waiting in line. They have Hawaii kind snacks and a fridge that sells choke things iykyk lol. Overall love this establishment and so glad they came to the 9th island cheehoo!!

Back in Vegas, I was seriously craving sushi and stumbled across a poke spot near Chinatown -- but they only had ahi, no salmon or other fish. So I checked Yelp and found Poke Express out in Henderson. Totally worth the drive. The moment I walked in, I felt the aloha vibes -- small storefront, but packed with happy customers. The line moved fast, the staff was efficient, and the variety? On point. I went with salmon and hamachi, and it was straight-up chef's kiss -- fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Felt like I was back in Hawaii for a second. Definitely coming back for more!

Bomb poke every time, love this spot! They have so many options to choose from and the fish always tastes fresh. You could never go wrong with a simple poke bowl with rice and furikake. Not saying build-your-own poke bowl spots with all the toppings aren't good, but this spot hits. It's lit!

    Ann N.

My family have bought from here and brought it home for us to enjoy. I actually have not waked inside until today. Totally feels like I'm back in Hawaii going to get poke at a family own poke spot. Loved it. Good size variety of poke for you to order/buy by the lb. Everything is fresh for you to bring home and enjoy. Service was great. Although there were a few families in front of us, they quickly take care of everyone with what they wanted and moved us along quite quick. We bought a few containers of their pickled ginger too, less than $1.50 each. I made some rice at home, had some nori seasoning and ponzu ready, we opened up all the poke containers to enjoy. Such a great spread for a late lunch today. No one complained either the variety we bought. We also had leftovers for dinner. $65 worth every penny for fresh and delicious poke.

The tables were so clean you could literally see the reflection off of them. That alone stood out immediately. Dean helped me with my order and his service was top tier. He was cleaning when I came in and after taking my order he went right back to working instead of standing around. He was very patient, took his time, and really listened to what I needed. I told him I wanted something specific, light but filling for a workout, and he gave thoughtful recommendations that ended up creating the perfect bowl. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I needed. I was also unsure about what sauce to get and Heavenly recommended two sauces for me to try together. I mixed them myself and it ended up being the perfect combination for my bowl and really brought everything together. They both stayed attentive the entire time, even as more customers came in, making sure everyone was acknowledged without ever making me feel overlooked. That balance is rare. The food is fresh, the store is incredibly clean, and the team is clearly hardworking and knowledgeable. The vibe is great for a grab-and-go poke spot. The fresh veggies, fruit, and crab mix? All solid. But here's the thing -- I ordered the First Timer Bowl, and the tuna should be the star of the show. With so many ingredients competing, the fish gets completely lost. And when I did find it... it wasn't cold. Poke is raw fish. It has to be cold. That's non-negotiable. I've spent most of my life in the Pacific Islands, so I know what fresh poke tastes like -- and this missed the mark on the fish quality. This is Las Vegas, with a large Hawaiian and Pacific Islander community that knows the difference. I feel for this place because the bones are there. Simplify the bowls, let the fish speak for itself, and get the temperature right. I'll be rooting for them to level up.

Loco Moco Burrito: A standard loco moco is $13 and the burrito is $17. I need to see why I'm paying $4 more. During my first visit, you get the tortilla, fried rice, good mac, a patty that had room for improvement, and a stock standard mushroom gravy. My last visit, the tortilla had burned spots/segments, the fried rice is now a plain rice, the mac was still good, the patty is now at least consistently restaurant level, but the gravy was extremely salty. In short, I'm paying $4 more to put a loco moco in a tortilla wrap, and they can't get all the ingredients working in harmony. Rolls: These at least remained consistent. A little too heavy on the unagi sauce taste, but at least I could tell the difference between the 2 unagi based rolls that we ordered. Service: I can't stress this enough. I DO NOT blame the service staff. Having said that, the rolls took around 10 mins, which is more than reasonable. We waited 25-30 mins for the loco mocos. The restaurant was empty when we entered, and only 1-2 tables tables were filled well into the wait. When we enquired if the food was ready, we were told that the kitchen was busy. I hate to be that guy, but I saw no one pick up their orders during the meal, and those who were seated did not order before us. Maybe the beef patties came from the freezer, or maybe there is a more innocent explanation. It didn't help that the food arrived with issues (ie. The burnt tortilla, super salty gravy, a busted egg (callback to the first review, but it's not a big deal)). A heads up would be nice, instead of leaving us wondering. Ambiance: Same as before.
