    Beyond Orange Chicken Bowl
    Kenneth K.

Ordered delivery from here last night for my wife and I. We ordered a Beyond Orange Chicken Bowl with Fried Rice, a Black Pepper Angus Steak Bowl, and a dozen Creme Cheese Rangoons. The food was tasty and affordable. We've been intending to try the Beyond Orange Chicken since it became availably nationally and got to try it during a BOGO bowl promo with the purchase of a Beyond Orange Chicken Bowl and it met our expectations but did not exceed it.

Ordered through Uber Eats and when my food arrived as good as it smelled it was horribly cold, rice balls, and just about raw steamed vegetables. The driver was excellent

Can anyone say unorganized!! I had the worst experience at this location and I really expected some good service being as though no one was in line and it was a lazy Sunday vibe. I waited around about 4-5 Minutes standing in line asking for assistance before someone finally helped me with my order. Then when I ordered I was up-charged and told I should have read the sign before I ordered. I was not up for any disrespectful customer service and I didn't want to argue so I just walked away! There are at least 9 other fast casual dinning experiences within twenty paces so I took my money where it could be appreciated.

Boba milk tea at Panda Express what??
    Grace L.

This isn't just your typical Panda Express (yes it's one of my guilty pleasures.. I mean orange chicken... chow mein... Aiya). It's only a few weeks old and looks great with high bar tables and a slick overall feel. It's located in the new wing of Wheaton mall right by costco, chipotle, etc... The biggest difference is the TEA BAR. Yes it's like their version of Mcdee's McCafe with BOBA MILK TEA and fruity teas as well. It's awesome!! I love how these chains are stepping up their game to compete with expensive alternatives. I tried the boba milk tea (decent, chewy, real tea flavor, good in a pinch) and the raspberry green tea (too sweet for my taste but great green tea flavor) I normally would give a regular Panda Express a solid 2 or 3 depending on how clean they are and the staff, this fancier version gets a 4 from me!

Quite often, only half the menu is available at opening time

The Food at Panda Express is amazing. For me, buying food from Panda Express at Wheaton was better than ordering food from Doordash.

This place is yummy and a great alternative to Japanese chicken teriyaki. I suggest the chicken egg roll with plum sauce.

From what I see on the app, there have been a lot of sales, which is always a plus side. You can either be greedy or give the other to someone else. The only downside is that the shop is a little small and cramped a good majority of the time, especially evenings. Sometimes this makes wait times a little longer than usual, so it gets a little frustrating. I had it a couple of times in Wheaton Mall when I lived in Wheaton. One of the times that was noteworthy was in January 2020. I was in the office that morning in Columbia, and my girlfriend of that time had called or texted saying that she was really sick, she was struggling breathing, and to take her to the doctor. I'm like I'm at work, but I have Montgomery County (Rockville) work travel I happened to be able to do this afternoon. So, I can swing by Wheaton to pick her up to go to an urgent care by the mall. I waited with her at urgent care. The doctor gave her pills or something and commented that it's been a particularly bad winter with bad colds that have come in. Afterward, we went to the mall to get a bubble tea at Kokee Tea & maybe eat lunch too in the mall. We enjoyed the Kokee Tea. Staff is nice & efficient, prices are comparable to Kung Fu Tea, but better quality in my opinion. We didn't realize it at the time, my girlfriend likely had Covid, which wasn't diagnosed in the US until late February 2020. Her work was interesting. In early January, they had people who had work travel in the office from China. Her work was furloughed not long after that. Then, she had symptoms of Covid not long after that. Anyway, it was an interesting time. If in Wheaton Mall, I'd be back at Kokee.

I've tried the Columbia location which is a brick and motar. I got the brown sugar milk tea with boba (of course). They don't do different sizes which is fine because this standard size was perfect. Finally, another bubble tea option in the Wheaton area. This spot is located in the same shopping center as H-mart and a great way to grab a drink after doing your errands. There are a few tables inside where you can sit while consuming your drinks. The place inside is fairly large. The staff here are very friendly and looks very clean. They serve the same drinks as other KFT locations which is great. Highly recommend their milk teas and their smoothies. They also serve cold and hot drinks. Looking forward to visiting this spot again. Great addition to the Wheaton area!!

What's hot - Location. Conveniently located in a plaza with an Hmart, other shops and restaurants. That also means there's parking. - Indoor seating. There is an indoor seating area with a decent number of tables and chairs, which is helpful, especially if you're eating. - Menu includes food. Most Kung Fu Tea locations I've been to don't offer food, but this location does, including dim sum, noodles, and poke bowls. Nice to have. - Price. For two drinks (one large and one medium), we paid approximately less than $20, so not bad. However, read below... What's not - Bubbles/tapioca is too sweet. I asked for my bubble tea to not be sweet, but that's not what I got. Rather, there was syrup at the bottom of my cup and the bubbles are already very sweet. That tells me they boil their tapioca in sugar water, which I'm not a fan of. One of our friends had to go back and ask them to remake her drink, because it was too sweet. Because they boil their tapioca in sugar water, my friend also asked them to use herbal jelly, rather than tapioca pearls in her new drink. As such, the quality of their drinks is lacking. Price for value isn't a good trade off. - Full menu isn't available. Their full drinks menu isn't available. Rather, you have to scan their QR code to access their full menu. - Ambient noise. They play loud music inside. While it's cool to listen to music to jam to, if it's too loud, it's difficult to have a conversation with whoever you're with. Not to mention, at some point, it can get to a point where it's too loud and hurts your ears. - Food menu. Given that the quality of their bubble tea is lacking, which is their staple feature, it makes me hesitant to try the other foods on their menu, because I question their quality. Final Answer Not on my list of bubble tea places to return to.

Tables not cleaned and most uneven and wonky. Just one sad front of house employee working that I saw just getting through the orders that are self order. This place has zero ambiance. I went to the bathroom and toilet tissue was nearly out and there was no way to even get anyone's attention to attend to that. Employee just kept their head down working. Food- drinks were great. My favorite is the watermelon coconut jelly. We had the pork chop pineapple bun. This is still a good sandwich. Tastes like they used to make it. Juicy pork chop, sweet pineapple bun. The construction of the sandwich leaves much to be desired because all the wet veggie ingredients slide the entire sandwich. Once you start eating, you should not put this sandwich down or it will come apart. They should put the sandwich in a sleeve. We ordered the fried chicken bento box. This bento has changed a bit from their previous version. With the new paper packaging, there are less compartments for goodies. The fried chicken recipe is different as all the batter fell off the chicken and was just a mess. There was close to zero pickles greens. With the dish which I feel brings this kind of bento together. Conclusion is food is decent, ambiance sucks. Would order to go from here but any fried food from here will be a disaster after you get it home. Had high hopes as I loved the previous location's food. Now being able to "look behind the curtain" and see how everything is made, I kind of feel question the cleanliness of this place.
