Small Korean bowl with sweet potato noodles and purple rice. Delicious hibiscus lemonade on the side.

This is my favorite fast-casual place in Silver Spring. Service is always friendly and excellent. And the food is an excellent value and perfect for anyone on a gluten-free diet. Although my bowl looks like a ton of meat, there's kale, carrot, potatoes, sweet potato noodles and more in the base. Definitely check out the app for deals and easy ordering ahead.

Overall, I had a pleasant and quick dining experience at Bibibop Asian Grill. I've passed this place a dozen of times, and I'm glad that I took the plunge to check out what the restaurant had to offer. I went with a standard Korean BBQ bowl, and everything (including all of the fixings) was great. I thought the price (about 13 bucks) was in line with other similar places in the area. I visited Bibibop right after working out at a nearby gym, and the small bowl had more than enough food to satisfy my hunger. The Chipotle-esque ordering makes life easy. You pretty much will pick a base; add toppings; choose a protein; top with sauce; and mix & enjoy. *I may have mixed up one or two things in this process.* Although I would not go out of my way to dine here, it's definitely a decent place to grab a quick and delicious meal if you are in the downtown Silver Spring area.

I have been a fan of this place since it was called Shop House. But I don't come as often as I used to because this is the closest location to me and I usually frequent other places in the area. Nonetheless, I crafted my own bowl with noodles, spicy chicken, veggies, yum yum and teriyaki sauce. I love yum yum sauce and have yet to eat at another place in the area that has it so that definitely stands out. It's definitely worth the $12 I paid for it, I have no complaints.

Excuse the blurry photo (I have to fix my camera lense) but OH MY GOODNESS this place is wonderful! It was my first time trying this restaurant and the food was outstanding! You can build your own bowls or order a specific kind from the menu. Right off the bat, I noticed how fresh the ingredients tasted. There are no nuts in any of what they serve, so it's allergen-friendly; that's a huge plus. I highly recommend trying the tofu and the purple rice. Both items were bursting with flavor and left me satisfied for the rest of the day. If you're into healthy eating, this is a great place to try. 10/10 I would definitely come back and try more dishes.

Looking for something different than Chipotle? Look no more, Bibibop is a great choice when food, fresh ingredients full of flavors bowls, and now they have added bulgogi to its menu, plus they have good and fresh vegetables, great service and a clean spot. You should go to check it out yourself, yes, you ask what want in your plate/ bowl. Enjoy. Tip: don't forget to add some fresh and delicious kimchi.

Food is fresh. Service is always quick and friendly. The location is always clean. No lines and room to sit and eat if you desire.

This chain is one of my favorite spots to eat quickly and somewhat healthy. The staff at this location were super friendly and one worker had a very keen eye. It's a small spot with enough room for everyone to either mingle or mind their own business. The location is downtown Silver Spring so you'll want to park in the Wayne garage and walk across to avoid parking headaches. They discontinued the coconut mango pudding ( which I love) but I was told something really nice is coming soon. I hope so!

Kids' choice- still a lot of food!!!

Bibibop is the fast casual bowl choice if you're interested in Korean style flavors like kimchi, moochae, japchae and gochujang. You can make your bowl atop purple rice, white rice, salad greens, japchae, and sometimes they will let you when in store order half and half for your base. I like that they have a regular bowl and a small bowl. I am perfectly full with a small bowl, but I can eat a regular bowl. However, eating the regular bowl leaves me a little too full and regretful. I like that the vegetable toppings include just about all of them, so, I go for all of them, except black beans. While I like black beans, I just don't like the idea of having them mixed up with japchae or with moochae. I do like that all the ingredients are gluten free, and they have an allergens menu to confirm. I like that there are also choices between having a veggie bowl or a tofu and veggie bowl. The tofu is good, but, I'd rather not have tofu and just veggies. The toppings are healthful and colorful, so, that's another reason I can't decide and just order them all. I am not sure if my favorite is the bean sprouts or the potatoes or the carrots or the sesame kale or the cucumbers (super fresh), but I also add the moochae and pickled cabbage for more flavor. The corn is fun to add for a yellow color. I always want double amounts of the sesame kale and bean sprouts and potatoes, but then it wouldn't be balanced all nicely with the colors. You can add sauces to your order, but I generally prefer to keep it sauce-less, as the food tastes fresh and flavorful without a need for me to add more sauces. I like the idea of sriracha and gochujang, but, I think it's better to just let the flavors come through for the toppings as is. The prices are fair considering you can load on the toppings, making the portions quite generous for the price point. They have some indoor seating, but it's not huge. Feels more of a takeout place, anyhow. The folks here are nice. They always seem to be cooking up more of one thing or another, which is fine by me. With so many fast casual places in downtown Silver Spring, this is just another one to try out to mix it up. Yum!

As a heads up, prepare to wait. Every time I visit this location I have to wait an additional 10+ minutes or so because they have run out of a certain item and/or just started cooking. I intentionally visited during high peak times and down times to see if it will be the same situation, and it was. If it isn't the running out of noodles or another ingredient, waiting for a truck to come to deliver produce, or waiting to slice produce, there is always an additional wait. Once you finally get your bowl at this location, the quality of the food remains consistent with other locations but the parking situation and higher chances of not having what I would like, make me hesitant to come back. The manager has been nice whenever I would see her and she has tried to make amends when there is subpar service but for this to happen consistently, I can't rate more than 3 stars. I would also suggest that they stir their items more frequently to keep the food from looking dried out.

    Customized bowls of goodness!

I'm so happy I finally tried bibibop. It's been on my list of places to try for a while and I loved the experience! It felt similar to cava in some ways but maybe healthier? There are a lot of protein options to add as toppings. You can also get unlimited toppings which is a bonus. For the base, there's purple or white rice, noodles and salad. Or you can make it into a wrap. I'd never seen purple rice before and was curios to try it. I got half rice and half salad, added beans and bean sprouts for extra protein, tofu, and then a bunch of veggies. I liked that you could add eggs as a topping so if you're hungry this will give you an extra protein boost on top of beans and bean sprouts. There's plenty of different sauces to add, and again they are unlimited. I got the korean red and cucumber wasabi. I couldn't finish my meal so I ate the rest the next day and I thought it was still good! Cherry on top is free miso soup! My mind was blown! You can also get additional sauces near the drink fountain. The options are endless!

Stopped in here on a Friday afternoon to catch up with a friend. He suggested this place and at first I was hesitant, but I'm glad I tried it. I ordered a bowl with spicy chicken, white rice, corn, kale, purple cabbage, cucumbers, and sauces on the side (sriracha was my favorite, but I enjoyed the sesame ginger). My meal was tasty and I felt full after (initially, I was thinking maybe I didn't order enough for my bowl, but I was pleasantly surprised). They offer miso soup (complimentary), but I didn't try it this time. The service was excellent and I would give this place a thumbs up and come back again.

This gorgeous bowl of veggies and fillings is only $5.50!!!

My group of 5 enjoyed a variety of their drinks and dishes, sharing 3 appetizers, enjoying 5 entrees, and indulging in two of their desserts. I started off with an alcoholic Mai Thai. Food wise, I had their grilled oysters, brussel Cesar, fried chicken curry dish, trifle dessert, and sorbet. As a non-seafood person, it was a big deal for me to try their oysters. I started slow with just their grilled oysters. They were drowning in garlic and butter, so it was hard not to like. The Brussel cesar was also a solid shareable. I appreciated that the salad did not come drenched in dressing. The curry friend chicken was phenomenal! The chicken fell of the bone so easily and was so crispy, moist, and overall outstanding. The curry and impossible rice paired perfectly with it. Finally, the desserts! I could have eaten two of the trifle dessert...it was smooth, creamy, and the perfect amount of sweet. It was everyone's favorite between the two. The sorbet was good, but I found the white chocolate a little weird/awkward since it was sitting around a bunch of cold sorbet...didn't melt or mesh well with the dish. It wasn't bad, but I'd try something else next time. Overall, I loved this place. The vibes, staff, and food were amazing. I can't wait to introduce more friends to this gem.

Total (not including tip) came out to approximately $49. What's Hot - Menu. Excellent. It's also written in Chinese in addition to English. For those of us familiar with traditional ethnic Chinese food, a menu written in Chinese is a good sign. They have traditional Taiwanese and Chinese food like scallion pancakes, sesame balls, beef noodle soup, soup dumplings, etc... Very good variety and there appears to be something for everyone, possibly with the exception of vegan dishes.. - Quality. Pretty good. Their scallion pancake was soft, not too oily, and not too salty. I prefer the scallion pancake to have been a bit more thick and flaky, but that's my personal preference. To be fair, still delicious. Their chive and pork dumplings definitely had a delicious chive flavor. Substantial and the wrapper was not too thick. Their spicy sesame paste tofu had a good flavor and substantive. The chili oil wontons were not too spicy and had a good flavor. Again, my personal preference would have been for the dumplings to have been more substantive, but still pretty decent. - Service. Pretty good. It appears most, if not all their staffers, speak Chinese (Mandarin), which was also helpful, because I specifically ordered in Chinese. I asked them about the spice level, because I wanted to ensure it would not be too spicy for my friend. - Price. Pretty good value for menu and portions. - Location. It's pretty easy to find. Also within convenient walking distance to the Silver Spring metro. The inside space is pretty good. Tables can seat a minimum of 2, all the way up to 8. What's Not - Quality. The sesame balls are smaller than I expected. They're the rough approximation of a ping pong ball, maybe smaller. I was disappointed, because I like sesame balls that are substantial. - Service. I specifically asked for soup spoons, because we were eating dumplings. Instead, they gave me regular spoons. Not all the dishes come out in the order you hope. For example, main dishes may come out before the appetizers. This is going to be dependent on your personal preference. - Parking. There is parking near the restaurant, but it's going to be dependent on the day and time. Final Answer Worth coming back.

We were able to snag a table for Valentine's Day evening on their website and they did NOT overbook - we were seated within 5 mins. of arriving. Service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. The cocktails were innovative and delicious; we loved the jalapeño passion fruit cocktail (spicy!) and the ginger mojito. We were very hungry but decided on 4 smaller plates, which was exactly the right amount of food. Highly recommend their Crab Kathi Roll appetizer, the Crispy Spinach with Dates, the Chicken Cafreal and the Eggplant Fritters - although the mild spicing and flavor of the eggplant was outshone by the other robustly flavored items; still tasty though. Service was friendly and crisp and the pricing was very economical especially considering the variety and quality of the food and beverage. A 5-Star keeper!!

Roasted to perfection and paired well with the chutneys. I also ordered the lamb vindaloo and it was lack luster to me. The lamb chunks were good, but the sauce lacked spice even though I asked for spicy. My friend got the garlic naan and I tasted it. I wasn't a fan of the taste or texture. The restaurant itself is cute and cozy!
