Grabbed dinner with a friend here before heading to a crafting event - the food was tasty and service friendly. It's a self-serve style place with a counter and limited seating, but it was quiet when we went in and service was fast. We both got creamy Indian dishes with rice and naan that were delicious, and large enough portions that we both took food home. Dumplings (momos) were just ok, but maybe it was the flavor I got. I wasn't a huge fan of the recommended sauce, which was served cold and detracted from the dumpling imo. The mango lassi was cold and delicious, and overall we enjoyed our meal. read more

If you're looking for a spot that takes flavor to the next level, look no further than Moh Moh Licious. The spicy momo here are absolutely next-level spicy--in the best way possible. The heat hits you slowly, but it's not just about the spice; there's so much flavor packed into each bite. We also tried the lamb biryani. It's so much more than just rice. The layers of flavor in that dish are a full-on explosion in your mouth. Tender lamb, fragrant spices, and just the right amount of heat--seriously, every bite was a delight. We ate inside the restaurant, and the experience was fantastic. The ambiance is cozy, and the service is friendly. It's the perfect spot for a flavorful meal that'll leave your taste buds dancing. Highly recommend it! read more

Great dumpling! I got the jhol jhol momo dumplings with a side of naan bread. The broth in the dumplings was amazing and super tasty. The dumplings were delicious as well. The naan bread was nice to dip in the broth, I wouldn't order just to eat by itself. They have several other dishes I want to come back and try. Will be back for the dumplings for sure. It's a small restaurant but it does have seating inside. Service is pretty quick and they do delivery. read more

My daughter and I had a wonderful meal at Moh Moh Licious yesterday. She ordered the mango lassi and the salmon tikka masala, and both were absolutely delicious. The lassi was rich, creamy, and perfectly refreshing. The salmon tikka masala had just the right amount of heat -- flavorful, balanced, and beautifully cooked. I had the saag paneer, which was excellent. The spinach had a lovely creamy texture with just the right bite, and the paneer was tender and soft -- exactly how it should be. I also ordered the achar, which was a perfect, tangy accompaniment to the meal. The service was warm and attentive, and our food came out quickly. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience -- we'll definitely be back! read more

The most Slept on in Nepal style spot in DC . Whole in the wall type vibes but clean and presentable enough to casually dine in . Even the kitchen looked clean and organized . The register greeter was cool and patient as I navigated the menu ( first timer ) . The wait time was reasonable as well 10-15 minutes tops . I've eaten here 3 times already and each time I go the food taste better than before . I got the Jhol Momo / C Momo ( both are flavorful ) with the C Momo being my favorite . The best Momos I've tasted in the city thus far . I'm going back to try other vegetarian options on the menu ( plant based eater ) Jhol Momo 7.5 /10 ( be sure to stir the soup before eating , to get all the flavors moving through the soup ) C Momo 10/10 savory , Slightly sweet , with a strong kick of spice ( 4 /5 spice level , creeps up on you will burn your lips and make your nose run for sure ) * to my knowledge all the chefs are from Nepal which means we get the authentic taste of their culture. read more

Every country and culture has it's dumpling--potstickers, gyoza, won tons, knishes, kreplachs, empanadas, ravioloi, banh gio, etc. But let me fill you in: some of the momo-st delicious ones are in Silver Spring--Moh Moh's momo-entous pork momos dipped in mango chutney. It's an open chut case. Can't wait to go back for momo-re. read more

Surrounded by small restaurants from around the world, Moh Moh Licious stands out with excellent food from a Nepalese chef. The small shop is known for their dumplings, but don't sleep on there biryani. The chicken one comes out hot with the perfect blend of spices, well cooked chicken, and a yogurt sauce on the side. For just under $20, it was big and very filling. There are a few tables inside and an area with cold water in jugs. It hit the spot! read more

Charming little place with great food, friendly staff, and excellent service. I ordered the pork momos and achari lamb. Taste wise they were excellent, but the serving of the Achari Lamb was too small for the price in my opinion. Food also didn't come with any veggies, which is a miss in terms of a balanced meal for me. If you want to eat in, keep in mind the dining area is super tiny (3 tables with max seating for 8 ppl total). If you are relying on Google to help guide you to the restaurant, be sure to note the entrance to the restaurant is on Georgia Avenue itself. I followed Google maps, which led me to behind the restaurant and discovered there was no rear entrance and so had to double back. Be sure not to make the same mistake I did! read more

Delicious food. We ordered 8 dishes. Two momo, daal, butter chicken, veg chow mein, chicken biryani, okra, and achari lamb + tandoori roti. Half the dishes came with rice. Everything was excellent. Especially liked the C momo, chicken biryani, and tandoori roti. Ambiance is not fancy and quite small. Pretty quick service; they weren't busy when we arrived but seemed to have increased pickup business. Not sure we need to eat in again; it's not a bad atmosphere and is fast... but is a great carry-out spot. read more

Eating the food here was almost like a religious experience. You walk from the cold streets of DC and open up to a vibrantly colored shop with not a lot of tables. Just enough to dine a large group and maybe a few duos. But I would argue you would stand hunched over just to eat a Beef Momo. The blend of flavors, spices, creaminess is wonderful. It's also served like piping hot and biting into a hot, fully packed, and fresh Momo may be one of the best things I've ever done for myself. I'm so glad I walked into this place. It is honest when it says it's spicy! You know it's authentic to someone's personal recipe because we found ourselves picking whole cloves and cardamom pods out from the Lamb Biryani. You order at the window after looking at a written menu that has the charming elements of being hand drawn later on. They even keep magazine clippings of all their awards. More must come! More must come! read more

Moh Moh Licious - Lamb Biryani, C Momo, Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Beef Momo, Onion Pakora - Asian Fusion Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

Got my food delivered from here and I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be quite good! Chicken Tikka masala: I asked for extra spicy and while it can never be hot enough for me, it did have a nice little punch. The garlic naan was warm, chewy, and tasted great. The rice pudding was a little more liquidy than I like, but this could be from the delivery. It had a really nixe flavor. The gulab jamun were delicious and perfectly paired with the pudding. I wish the portions were a little bigger, but overall, I really want to try some other items from this restaurant! read more

Their Moh Mohs were delicious. I had the chicken variety with tamarind chutney. They were made fresh. It took a few minutes and when they came they were steaming hot. The wrapper was perfect. Slightly thicker than normal and held the filling well. Went on a Sunday morning and street parking outside the restaurant on Georgia ave was free. Otherwise it's a 2hr paid parking. The place is good for take out but had a few tables if you want to dine in. read more

I ordered beef moh moh with the sesame tomate sauce and it was delicious. The delivery was on time and the presentation was nice. I also had the Tamarind lemonade. My first ever order from Moh Moh was on a food delivery app. I had a crazy craving for chicken biryani so I ordered that and had to get some momos since that's the name of the restaurant. The serving of biryani was massive! It was enough for literally three meals. The spices were just right and it was so tasty. I thought the momos would just be like regular dumplings but they were fat, filled with goodness and in a decadent sauce. Those could have been a meal in their own. The price is right, the servings are huge and the food is delicious. Try this spot! read more

My wife and I have ordered a variety of dishes from here twice and loved it! They have so many moh moh and various Indian, Himalayan, and Nepali dishes to try. They also have both bison and water buffalo moh moh that are so unique. It is something different that is very close to home in Downtown Silver Spring. We look forward to ordering from here as well as dining in person many more times in the future. read more

Divine! The Shrimp Curry and Pork Mo Mo Dumplings with Red Spicy Tangy Sauce are such a treat! I also tried the Chicken Curry, Samosa Chat and Garlic Naan. Would like to give it 3.5 stars but that's not an option. We think it's worth another visit-- small, friendly space, walls mostly covered with menus/boba menus and a few small tables. Chicken momo had a little spice kick, but the dough is a bit heavy and dumplings so uniform they seem almost commercial? The chole/chickpeas and the saag were our favorites. Owner recommended chow mein (now that's a first) but we decided to try that next time. The menu feels almost too big-- maybe focus on fewer items done a with a little more care? read more

Hidden place with Nepali food. It's almost like a literal hole in the wall how small this is. Moh Moh Licious specializes in the dumplings from Nepal. Fast and good. The place doesn't have seating so it's only takeout. Good for a fast bite. If you're in a serious hurry you can call ahead but this still won't even help that much. The food is basically takeout. Come in and order at the counter. They specialize in moh mohs. If you haven't heard if these, they're basically dumplings. These get filled with meats or vegetables. It's about $6 for 6which is enough for an appetizer. This comes with a choice of a sauce. It can be hard to get to from outside the area. Some busses go by it. This is closest to the Takoma Metro station. read more

More like 4.5 stars. I ordered delivery through door dash from here on Friday. I got the pork dumplings wit the spicy sauce, and the okra entree. I didn't realize the okra was a complete meal so I got a lot of food. The dumplings were good and flavorful. The okra entree came with a chickpea side, rice, and a salad. I was really impressed with the amount of food you get. The okra was in like a stew. It was very good. The spices were right and the okra shined even with all the fixings in the dish. I liked everything. My only critique is I wish they gave more sauce for the dumplings. From their pictures, it appears these dumplings are supposed to be smothered in sauce, however for takeout, they put it on the side. I understand they probably do so for the dumpling to not get too soggy, but the little side of sauce isn't enough and the sauce was also a bit cold. I Would've preferred it tossed over the dumplings and smothered. especially to get the real experience of how they should be. However, the dumplings were still very good! read more

Food is tasty and looks very authentic. The cost is very affordable and portion size isn't huge but very good for the price. I'm not an expert but from my perspective it is tasty and the flavors are good. Our group was all happy with their dishes and appetizers. We tasted each other's and want to come back. The chairs aren't the best and there are only 4 tables so if it is busy you might want takeout. The food was good enough for us to order more to take home. read more

Food was not that good. Would opt for a different place. Delivery was not great either.

Wow! Moh Moh licious absolutely loved up to its name and beyond! I was stunned by their food. I wasn't expecting it to be so wonderful! We had saag paneer, veggie dumplings, chana masala, and naan and I cannot get over how wonderfully delicious it all was. The flavors were fresh and perfectly spiced. They had marvelous flavors. The staff was friendly and kind. The food was served fresh and hot as each dish was prepared. The naan had a slight crispness that was outstanding. They only have seating for 8-10 people. Casual seating. Most people probably do carry out given the size of the place. It was quiet and colorful. I wish it was closer to my home. I'd eat there every week. It was absolutely fantastic food! Nothing fancy. Just delicious food! read more

Solid food. We have tried the chicken tikka masala, the chicken tikka, the momos (duh), the butter chicken and the naan. I don't know that any will knock your socks off but neither will you be disappointed, especially since momos can be tricky to find. You get a good amount of good at a reasonable price, so I would order from here again. read more

Terrific place for dumplings and sauces and much more. The food is always hot, fresh and tasty. Very authentic Moh Moh - highly recommended.

We usually get take out from here and we LOVE their chicken momos with the tomato sesame sauce! The momos themselves have a nice little spice to them. We ate in one time and enjoyed a hot chai and some Tukpa as well... so nice, delicious and warming on a cold day. We had a nice conversation with the lady and there were a few decorations that made us feel like we were back in Nepal. We are so happy to have a local and delicious momo spot! Mitosa! read more

Absolutely loved everything we had here - the moh moh were phenomenal (loved the hit of ginger), the goat masala was perfect, and the chicken achari (sp?), a special, had a lovely smoky flavor. The momos are amazing! We tried basically all of them, and they were all great! My favorites were the jhol momo with lamb and the C momo with pork. The jhol comes with a delicious broth and the C momo come in a thick spicy sauce. The veggie dumplings were also great - they curry spice the vegetables so they actually have flavor! My group also loved the okra masala and spinach chaat. The veggie biryani also had a really nice flavor. We also loved the fruit smoothies - really refreshing! This is mostly a takeout place - our group of six took up almost all the tables! But the staff was super great to us, and we'd definitely return. read more

Amazing Nepali dumplings!! I got the Jhol Momo (10 pieces) with pork and Veggie Momo (6 pieces) with red spicy sauce. The jhol momos are in this thick flavorful broth... so delicious and filling! TL/DR: I think about this place almost every day and it's a struggle to not order food (and a hot Nepali chai) from here daily. This is by far my favorite restaurant in the area. I haven't had a single mediocre thing from this place. My wife loves the smoothies but I'm a hot Nepali chai guy myself and I get one every time I go. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have tons of recommendations based on your preferences and I've loved every one. The Moh Mohs are twenty out of ten fantastic. My wife, who has been to Nepal, says they are legit and super tasty. I haven't had a bad curry yet either but the Okra Masala and Lamb Vindaloo extra spicy are super sexy. read more

It is indeed a little hole in the wall place in a fairly anonymous area of far north DC. However, it is valuable; Nepali cuisine is delicious and hard to come by. I stopped in for a sampling of their trademark dumplings. The momo (I've never seen the added h before) looked quite pleasant on the outside and had a lot of interesting flavors going on inside. The spicy sauce I asked for was legitimately hot, and even with ten dumplings, I ended up saving some of the sauce. Outside of dumplings, the menu includes some decent variety for a little place, and plenty of vegetarian/vegan food. The owner is chatty, and given that there didn't seem to be more than one person there, I could see other people's concerns about irregular hours and service. But the food is good. read more

Delicious! A TINY place. Better to order takeout if more than two people are dining, but clean and cozy. We had the mango lassi, chicken dumplings moh moh, and the samosa chat. All very flavorful with just a touch of spiciness. When I return for the whole family, I'll make a point to ask for "no spiciness" in the children's dishes. I get the impression one can ask for more spiciness. Some of the prices posted on the wall seem out of date, but the cost is well worth the meal. I'm only mad I've lived in the neighborhood so long and never eaten here. read more

This may be my new favorite spot in the district. I've been a little frustrated with how much I've had to pay to get good food in the city so it was a breath of fresh air to discover Moh Moh Licious. Not to mention the food is INCREDIBLE! I'd never had momos before, though they came highly recommended. I had the okra masala for my lunch and it was fantastic. Everyone at the table agreed that it was their favorite among our dishes. Plus it's vegetarian (maybe vegan?)! The momos themselves were fire and I've been dreaming about them ever since. This is a true hidden gem in DC and I cannot recommend it enough. Great food at a great price - it can't be beat! read more

I was so excited to finally try this place out! I ordered the C Momos with beef and the chili potatoes as an appetizer. So much spice!! I'm usually in the mild - moderate range when it comes to spicy food, but figured I'd try it out. It was definitely above moderate...but I could see someone who likes extra spicy foods this may be just right or possibly too mild. Ordered through Grubhub for delivery- came fast and the order was good. I noticed that Uber/Door Dash didn't have all the menu items Grubhub did - if you want spicy things but aren't able to do carry out, then I'd suggest using them.
